It doesn’t have to be a dye that is named pink. There are other pink dyes with other names. Humiliation for example is a pink dye and its only 4 silver right now.

For whatever reasons the items don’t stack in the PvP locker so either delete, pick up on another character or try to mystic forge them in the PvP area.

Try removing the duplicate heavy items from the PvP locker with your warrior then switch characters and have that one send the items in the bank to the PvP locker.

That would be nice ^^ however it’s a matter of the time it would take for support to do this for all the people who delete items by accident that would be used to solve other problems.

No, if you delete something, it’s gone. Here is a post from someone who deleted a gem store item and was told no by support.

I have a feeing that PvEers are going to be unmoved by people saying it’s cheating at PvP because they don’t consider what they are doing as PvP. What they are doing is getting achieve points. That it’s in the PvP area is only because that’s where they gave to be to get those points. They are farming achieve points, not glory or kills.

To a PvEer the game is saying, go to point A and perform actions B if you want this particular set of achieve points. They don’t consider the PvP kills for this as any different than running from one spot to another on a map and interacting with items. They don’t have a PvP mindset, they don’t know PvP rules and they may be completely unaware that this is considered farming kills in PvP and that a PvPer would consider this cheating. They don’t think about PvP at all.

You don’t use account name and password. It’s email and password.

There was a thread where someone bought character slots before a sale. Gaile’s response was that if it was hours then support might help but not if it was days.

If it was a matter of a few hours, I’d suggest a ticket. But this is a matter of days, and in that case, I don’t believe that we can assist with a refund.
If you think about it, the Gem Store could be handling this sort of thing all the time, for every sale, if the timespan for such requests was broad. That would get time consuming and costly, in terms of slowing response times for gameplay and account issues.
So because the purchase was well in advance of the sale, I would not recommend submitting a ticket.

The two situations are similar enough that I suspect support would say no. However I was unable to google and find a specific answer, and the forum search function is broken and has been for months.

If I may add to this idea, I would suggest this… When entering WvW, have a UI popup with a choice of Neutral and Participant. The Participant status would allow you to play normally The Neutral would effectively render you invincible, disable all chat functions, and allow you to only interact with with map locations and such things as the chest at the end of the JP. I don’t know if this is even possible but that’s my two cents worth.

If spying is a problem in WvW, and I gather it is since I read complaints about spies, then if someone was Neutral like this, they could report to another person such as a commander on mumble or other voice programs and then that other person could type it in chat or otherwise use the information.

There are two separate databases for accounts. The ones in each database can guest within that set of servers but to guest to the other set of servers requires the account information to be completely transferred to the other database, a procedure that takes up to a half hour and is the same as a server transfer.

It’s the way they’re set up, probably to reduce ping for groups of people who live on the other side of the world from each other.

Because of the way it’s set up, by account and by database, it’s not possible to have an account in both databases at the same time, it’s either one or the other.

It rather sounds like your account was hacked and you no longer have access to it, if that is so then that’s why you needed to contact support and the password changer didn’t work. Whatever the problem is, it’s outside what that can handle which is why it directs you to support.

When you tried to log in to the account support the second time, that was the wrong procedure, which is why you got an error message. What you need to do if you have something to say to them is to update the ticket and send that to them.

The first email you get is just a ‘form letter’ email that says they received your ticket and gives some answers to common problems. Sometimes the password link they send doesn’t work and they have to resend it.

You said you didn’t get a response to your last ticket update but not how long you have been waiting. If it’s been 24 hours or more then update it again and tell them you haven’t received a response since the last time. If it’s been three days or more since you heard from them, post your ticket number in the ‘tickets for review: 3 days and older’

If you sent them a ticket they usually send back an initial response by email within 24 hours.

The log in for the game is the same as the forum, email and password, not the account name if that’s what you were doing.

Submit an in-game ticket using the inappropriate character name category (for now) until a guild name option is added. There will be no automatic actions taken on the report, so there’s no need to worry about getting someone’s character name changed by accident.

The forum search function is broken and has been for months. It’s been reported for the last four months as bugged. Which can make it hard to be definite on answers as the sources are unfindable in the forum using the search function. Which means I and anyone else who tries to answer must either google it or try to remember the details of what ANet does and does not allow and how they want something reported.

I don’t know about your PvP progress. For that question you might want to post in Players helping Players if no one can give an answer here.

As to your bank, you will retain that when you transfer and it will be on your new server. If you delete characters be sure put any non soulbound items in there before deletion.

However if you have a guild bank, that will stay on your old server and you will lose access to it and any items that may be in it.

What do you mean you recovered your account? Does that mean you couldn’t log in and had to contact support and get it back?

You said your account is now showing Jerusalem. Are you in Israel or a different country?
If it’s the same country and showing up at the same time you are logging in then it’s probably nothing. My IP shows me logging in from various local towns.

If the other IPs from other countries were authorized, then most likely you were hacked. You might need to be checking on how they were authorized. Maybe your email was hacked. You should run a security sweep and check for keyloggers then change your email password.

It’s Saturday and Gaile Gray, the Support Liaison who posts here most likely won’t be back until Monday. If your problem is persisting till then maybe you can update your thread on that day to bring it to her attention.

When did he send the ticket? Typically he should get a ‘form letter’ email within 24 hours, acknowledging his ticket. A follow up email arrives later. If it’s been 3 days and they haven’t contacted him he (or you if he can’t) can post in the stickied thread ‘tickets for review, 3 days and older’ for special attention by Gaile Gray, being sure to post the ticket number.

While character name are useful, they aren’t required to get an account back because a hacker could have deleted all the characters and thus made knowing character names useless. The serial code and some answers to questions they ask should be enough.

Once they establish he is the owner of the account they will send him an emsil password change link.

Chairs, in general PvE being available, are not on their to do list at the moment for reasons given. What you might ask for is a chair from the gem store that has a sitting option available to it.

Well if you are going to be crafting these recipes, be thankful the original release notes got modified, prior to release it was intended to be 100 skulls etc, seems to have been reduced to 10 at the very last minute (without explanation that I can find).

There was a thread where people were complaining about the quantities and a ANet staffer came on and said that was a typo, it was supposed to be the lower number.

Hey guys, looks like the update notes were incorrect. These recipes do not require 100 of the mega materials, they require 10 (that’s 10,000 not 100,000 fangs/skulls/nougat). Sorry for the confusion! We are getting the update notes fixed!

It depends on how you play. If you only want to run dungeons or climb the ranks in WvW then selecting one as your main is best. If you are a casual PvEer who mostly does exploring and events then being able to switch not only keeps things fresh but combat isn’t so difficult that you need to know the ins and outs of one profession.

I agree that you shouldn’t delete. You are almost certainly going to regret it. Park them on a JP or an ori node at least and harvest every day if nothing else.

I have one of each profession and play each regularly. This no doubt means I’m a Jack of all trades, master of none but that doesn’t bother me as I don’t dungeon or WvW very much.

You can buy up to a max of 64 character slots per account, as one person discovered to his sorrow.

He wanted 128 characters.

The picture on the thread I saw showed the OP partied up with what he claimed were botters and a dungeon LFG panel. Now I have to ask you, how did he manage to party up with them? Bots don’t party up with non bots. They don’t advertise in LFG and they don’t accept party invites from anyone. This makes me believe that that picture is fake.

If you like how it looks you can transmute to a one with higher stats, that’s what I did with mine. Otherwise, you can try to break the soulbinding by transmuting it. A guildie transferred hers to another character. She didn’t give me the details but I think she transmuted it twice and the second time it became account bound.

The only specific skins I can think of as farmable are the ones dropped by champions.

Nooo, I like crafting being character bound. All I have to do is switch characters and I’ve used crafting cooking to max several times to get the free levels.

By hearts I meant the Renown Hearts in the maps, you do them and when completed they turn yellow. The NPCs sell stuff after completion and some of the items they sale are cooking mats. You buy these items with karma, not money.

Its odd because it will auto go to champions if I’m on my bow using ranger while there are mobs in my face, but when Im on my thief using my daggers it acts like it used to. Perhaps it’s bugged/broken?

Tab targeting now prioritizes players over NPCs (including minions; mesmer clones are an exception) and champions over everything else.

This is probably at least part of it. It might matter if you are ranged or melee. Possibly ranged, you get champions far away and melee, whatever is nearby if no champs near.

I click somewhere on the screen to deselect. Of course in zergs that means I am now targeting another zerg member so this procedure does have its flaws.

Anytime you have a PvE meta with PvP requirements you are going to see this sort of thing. Many PvE people don’t want to PvP at all, as in a zero amount, and if the AP points for the meta has PvP then they are going to try to get it without doing actual PvP.

Just wait for this meta to end and they will go away.

If you make them feel unwanted, the ones who might be willing to try PvP after doing this will be chased away also, complaining to their other PvE friends about rude PvP people are and how it’s really not worth doing any sort of PvP. You should consider it PvP with training wheels for the PvEers.

Have patience people. It’s only been 13 months since the first report and numerous reports since then. Give them time to analyze the situation and come up with a solution.

I’ve seen a bug on my server, HoD, concerning the ice walls in the first phase. They become unattackable and the event fails. So no one is even attempting it on my server now. In addition, the ice walls partially stay up now after the event is over.

I and others have reported it several days before the last Living Story update, but no fix.

As to the champ train, that’s probably because of people doing the new content. Even the Queensdale champ train was abandoned for a while.

This one here http://gw2crafts.net/cooking_karma.html has an option to concentrate on ingredients from hearts but it will still cost over a gold to max out.

It has a 1 to 400 guide then a 400 to 500 guide. I saw criticisms of the 400-500 guide that it didn’t do as much leveling as possible through refinement, but it can still be used as a general outline.

A couple of other people have reported this problem. It doesn’t sound like an Account Issues problem. Perhaps you could try posting in the Tech Support forum.

This really sounds like “They aren’t playing PvP the way I want and ruining it”.

It is cheating and needs to be fixed, regardless of how I or anyone else is playing.

So is asking a mesmer to port you to the end of a JP so you can collect the prize but many people rely on those mesmer ports and get rewarded same as if they actually did the JP. Are you against that too? Do you believe that should also be changed?

If they are going into PvP to get the Daily/Monthly achieves – how does this affect you and your game play experience and the GW2 world at large that makes you cry “cheating!”? Is it that they’re getting achievement points you feel they don’t deserve? How would you suggesting fixing this? You can’t exactly force players to only play PvP by your rules, the QQ of forcing new and strict rules into PvP would be incredible.

As to the example of “How would you feel if someone got Dungeon Master title by doing nothing/cheating??” – I wouldn’t care. What matters to me is how I got my title and I don’t care how anyone else got theirs. For all I know, anyone at any time could have used an exploit. It doesn’t take away from my experience nor does it make me want to “cheat” or feel slighted if I don’t have that title yet.

The easiest fix to this is to remove Daily and Monthly PvP rewards – you’d see no one bother unless it was something like grinding out Mad King finishers for a LS achieve. Are you in favor of this?

JPs are group objectives as much as they are single player objectives, so using group skills to reach them easier is perfectly fine.

Farming each other, however, is plain cheating.

People alternate winning costume brawl also for the daily achieve. Is that cheating? You can say it is but how does it hurt yours or anyone else’s gameplay?

I’ve read that also, that she can select a player and repeatedly attack them. Several people reported her singling them out during the first set of invasions for the living story.

Have you bought gems fairly recently? It’s possible you hit the limit they impose. If so, you can contact support and get the limit raised.

As to the serial code, no. Support doesn’t hand them out because if they make a mistake and give it to the wrong person, then they’ve given the game away and it may be impossible then for them to sort out who is the true owner.
