I do Frostgorge daily for ori and saplings. What I’ve seen is they respawn at reset, unless you harvested them less than 6 hours before reset, then it’s reset plus early harvest time. For example if you harvested them 5 hours before reset it’s reset and one hour, 4 hours before reset it’s reset and 2 hours.
Very rarely they may respawn again about 8 hours later, but that’s probably a bug.
Make sure you got these new waypoints and points of interest.

I remember hearing an interview, I believe it was from PAX, where one of the Dev’s was referencing a possible “wardrobe closet” for skins is in the works. Is this indeed a true fact and is their any chance we might see this before the end of the year?
If they are PvEers, I doubt they are doing it for glory. If I was doing this I would be doing it for the achieve points, which is what it sounds like what they are doing. Like people trading fighting in costume brawl so first one wins then the other. If they aren’t doing it for glory, I’m not sure how it concerns a PvP person.
I did it all of 3 times during boss week and none since. As far as I’m concerned, it not that the event isn’t fun but the time it takes is too long and the requirements are too high.
It requires you to find and get into a special guild, if they don’t have slots open then too bad, find another. If you already have 5 guilds then do what? Abandon one of them even though you use them regularly?

It requires you to abandon your server and guest to another, which compounds your servers problems in trying to do this event.
It requires you to wait for one to two hours in a specific map. You can’t just go there when it starts or shortly before and hope to do it if the guild doing it is in an overflow and you can’t get in it.
For the rewards you get and the time required, I’m better off running any of the other meta events and skipping this one.
No, guilds can’t be deleted, not really, everyone can leave the guild or ANet can terminate it but they don’t disappear on their own.
Just to ask the obvious question, ^^ you were representing it, right? If you have more than one guild, the one you aren’t representing will not be accessible.
So, assuming you checked the repping part. Could it have had a name that would cause ANet to terminate it? Or could your friend have come back to the game and kicked you out of the guild?
Edit: after thinking about it in inclined to think you got kicked by your friend, the true guild leader, during you absence. He very well came back and decided to remove all non playing people.
1) alt friendliness and time gating with regards to laurels and ascended gear.
2) HM equivalent. A harsher downscaling from the current downscaling above the area level to several levels below. If downscaled more, then get better drops.
3) merging non city maps in some way, an underflow system so that areas are more populated.
4) bring back the Guild Wars 1 costume system, a wardrobe system
Actually, it appears they will now change some guild names if they are offensive enough. They use not to at all. I guess you can try asking support, but it may only be for offensive names.

We will rename an offensively-named guild. Except in extreme cases, they are not disbanded these days.
It says they rename it though, which means you won’t get to chose the name.
A guild bank won’t really be that much help. You can’t place account abound or soul bound items in it. That pretty much leaves mats. Unless you have stacks of mats filling up your regular bank, you aren’t going to have much else to put in there as long term storage.
There is no point in posting on the forums the same day a ticket it made. It wont speed anything up, and it just clutters up the forum. After dealing with support, or if a ticket is over 3 days old, then it is ok to come here. Also I am pretty sure its against the rules to post on someone else’s behalf.
While they don’t want people to make a ticket and then a thread, it is acceptable for someone to post on your behslf if you can’t access the forum yourself. If they are banned and need to ask Gaile to review support’s decision, unless they have 2 accounts they have to have a friend post for them.
The skill point is inside the ship. You go downstairs to the bottom of the ship. You go up the ramp to the left of the gate first. The poi is in the water to the south west side of the island.
If you still can’t find them you can google Guild Wars 2 laughing gull island skill point (or point of interest). I’m using my iPad and it gets weird about YouTube links or I would link it.
Just to let you know, they don’t want people making tickets and threads the same day. They ask for people to give support time to work on the problem.
Also, people aren’t banned/suspended based on what they were doing that moment. The account has to be tagged or reported by a person or the game computer. The report goes to a staff member, behind all the other reports he gets every day. He has to review it and then make a decision. This process can take hours to days, depending on how busy they are and how complex the situation is.
Your friend should get an initial email from ANet within 24 hours of sending the ticket. He should be able to discuss it with them from there.
Sure the videos are fun to watch. They bring back memories of waiting for ‘when it’s ready’. But would people really want to play like that? I see ele’s in the video killing things with ease, not even having to kite. People already complain about PvE being too easy. The videos make it look too easy, even for a confirmed PvE person like me.

I think you might need to give some specifics as what types of hints.
However, as a start, I suggest you read the red stickied thread on this forum on hints for new players. Also these videos from BogOtter would also be good to look at. You’re not a boomerang but most of the information in the videos will apply.

In that case, update your ticket and ask for an account restoration so items can be returned. You only get one per account so make sure your computer is secure first.
You constructively criticize the game, not the makers of the game. If you aren’t able to do that then you can’t come up with effective criticisms anyway and might as well not post.
You might have a trait, rune or sigil that goes off at intervals. This has been reported to ruin mats while harvesting,

“With the recent rise in prices for Orichalcum and Ancient Lumber, I was a bit disappointed to see this old bug raising it’s head. This post is here to serve a dual purpose. To shed more light on a bug that has long been reported and to help spread awareness to the player base on how to avoid it.
The issue that most find is that they will start harvesting a high value node in Orr and be partway through it while under attack and suddenly they go from receiving good product to ruined chunks/fiber of some sort. Because of how Orichalcum and Ancient Lumber is gathered, 3 per cycle, you will notice it far more with these nodes.
What has happened is that some skill or trait has gone from passive to active while you were harvesting and this has caused you to produce ruined product. For example, when a Ranger has the trait, Shared Anguish (Wilderness Survival III) and gets hit with a daze while harvesting, any immediate product will be ruined. A second example would be on the Elementalist skill Arcane Shield. If the shield takes 3 hits, it explodes. Should the shield take 3 hits while you are harvesting, after it explodes, subsequent product will be ruined. This is very easy to reproduce and should be examined by Anet.
Before you farm Orr, I’d suggest doing a quick once over on your traits and skills to prevent something like the Guardian’s Zealot Speed (Zeal +5 points in) from preventing you from bringing in as many high value goods as you should have”.
Hmmm done another three times today on both overflow and main, still no update……anyone know if there is a way to get a GM or similar?
If by GM you mean someone who shows up in game and has the ability to fix problems on the spot, ANet doesn’t have people like that. You can report a bug using options or by reporting in the Game Bugs forum, or even with a ticket but I think they don’t like that as well as the other 2 ways.
It’s the strange sort of wonky setup as the laurel and Zhaitaffy venders. You need a confirm to buy something with 5 Zhaitaffy but there is no NPC warning that you can’t use 2 of the same ascended trinkets, resulting in people losing out on a months worth of laurels.
They should take some time and overhaul some of these features that have been known problems for months.
It’s all the bad words in the world packed into one word. It’s like the Super Villain of all bad words. Its so bad it even drags innocent words into it and corrupts them. I’ve learned so many new bad words since I’ve started reading this forum and now see the evil potentials when you put 2 innocent words together, like that it, which used to be filtered as it has a reference to a part of the human anatomy.

I just ran into that little problem while trying to make a guild recruiting post. Kept changing my guild name to “Guild okittendred Knights”. I tried the ’ trick, which did not work so I went with ( ) around the word of. Apparently Anet or some creative persons out there have devised a negative word for “(of)kin” minus the ( ). Could someone enlighten me on this if this above term is derogatory in any other language other than English? Danged if I found anything on it anywhere.
Try saying F then kin quickly. If that doesn’t work for you, put a vowel sound after the F, preferably a U.
Guild of Kindred Knights. (Shrug) it works for me without any tricks. Maybe the filter was trolling you. ^^
I did a little digging and it seems from it happening to others that this is the way it’s set up.
One suggestion I saw was to make someone who is still on that server a guild member and have them take the items out and send them to you. Obvious problems with trust here of course but the alternatives seem to be to leave the items there or to transfer twice.
ANet doesn’t send your account emails specific to you unless you contact them first and they are responding. Any emails you will get from them are notifications of the new patches and it won’t be something you can respond to. Any email that tells you there is something wrong with your account and that gives you a link to respond to is a phishing email. Read (this) to see samples of phishing emails.
First thing to do is make sure your computer is clean. Be sure to also check for any keyloggers. Once you are sure your computer is clean, change the password. It wouldn’t hurt to change the password on your email as well. Just on case you had a keylogger and he accessed your computer and got into that.
ANet should contact you within 24 hours. The first email to you is usually a form letter acknowledging your ticket and with a set of answers to common problems. After that they will work with you on your problem.
You will need to tell ANet that you want an account restoration. A restoration returns your account to what it was like on a previous date. They should be able to restore your account to a day or two before the hack, getting back all your items to that time. It is best that you do not play or so have any more transactions until the account is restored as you are going to lose all progress, money and items that you make from now till then since the account is going to be sent back to a previous time.
You should be aware that the account restoration is normally only offered one time. If your account is hacked again, you can get it back again but any items and characters lost will remain lost so make sure your account is secure.
Go to the support tab at the top of the page then go to ‘ask a question’. Make a ticket from there, putting Unknown in any slot you don’t know the answer. Just to warn you the answer will probably be no. ANet doesn’t usually fix it if it’s the player’s mistake.

Several people have posted apologies before and requested that the suspension be lifted. They do not make exceptions for a several reasons.
One is that if they make an exception for one person but not for another then they can be accused of favoritism. Not only would this perception cause hard feelings among the players but also it could leave them open for lawsuits as one person might say, they didn’t give me an exception because they are prejudiced against me. As frivolous as that claim might be, it still takes time and money in court.
Another reason they don’t give exceptions is if, let’s say someone really insulted someone or used hate speech and then got an exception, that also would cause problems with players as they see people being allowed to say or do whatever they like. This would hurt the game and give it a bad reputation.
A third reason is accountability. If someone knows they can say whatever they like and only get a slap on the wrist, why should they hold back? Knowing that the suspensions are firm gives these people second thoughts about what they say.
Sometimes they go to spam folders and other folders like that. Did you check all those?
If you did and you still can’t find your email, then I guess make another. They don’t like duplicate tickets so be sure to mention this and maybe they can resend the original email if they got the first ticket.
Because it wasn’t a true apology. With a true apology you admit you are wrong but then don’t make excuses for your behavior. If you make excuses then it sounds like you are only apologizing to get out of trouble, not that you really meant it.

You gave 3 excuses for yourself there. That’s why people were scolding you, you gave an appearance of insincerity. It made it sound like you only wanted to escape the punishment while not actually believing what you were saying.
And now you know, that in a game filled with people aged from teenaged to elderly, from many different countries and cultures, that you can’t use the informal insult language that you use with your friends. You need to use the sort of language you would use in public, if you have any manners, to not get a suspension.
No, it’s not. Characters are completely tied to accounts.
They did specifically say in the Guild Wars 1 wiki that that was not an option for that game. They haven’t said one way or another in this game but while they talk about server transfers, item and character deletion, spending laurels on the wrong thing and other topics, this is something they have never once mentioned they do since the game was released.
Not to directly address your topic, you might try this site and use guesting to get temple areas that are not contested. It’s what I did for some of the temples, found a server that had opened it up then guested over and grabbed it. http://us.gw2stuff.com/en/events/us
I’ve done it 3 times since the update and all those were during Boss Week so I’m one of the missing. I used to do this event several times a week and now I never even try. My main problem with it is the long wait I and then the possibility of not being able to get into the desired overflow because it’s full. The two together mean that if I’m doing something in another map and the Teq event starts, it means I can’t drop what I’m doing and just waypoint over there. I don’t want to allot one to two hours for one event on one map when I have other things I am doing on other maps.
Have they sent you a return email? You should get one within the first 24 hours after sending off a ticket after you completed the support system setup. If you’ve gotten an email it should be fine, if not then wait a bit longer. I wouldn’t worry about it till after 2 days.
If you think it’s a bug then you need to contact support, no one on the forum can correct a bug.
But if it were me, I would waypoint into each map and city separately again and check the map completion on each before I contacted support, being sure to check the wps and POIs that have been recently added to the game. If you did an area a long time ago and they added to that area since then then you will need it for map completion.

It didn’t ‘slip off your tongue’. You had to deliberately type it. The time it takes to type something is longer then the time it takes to say a word, is more involved and has more time to reflect and reconsider.
“i was a bit angry”. “i wasn’t attempt to hurt smb’s feelings”. Those 2 statements are a bit contradictory here. If you were angry and you used the N word then it’s almost certain you used it toward people.
