Camping that JP was one thing when the rewards were PvP rewards. It’s reasonable then for one side to deny the other side blueprints. To put a purely PvE achievement, getting the cache, in a PvP zone means that PvEers can’t get the achievement if PvPers are camping the zone and killing everyone. Especially difficult if this is the first time the PvEers are doing the puzzle and are trying to figure it out. Plus this is temporary content which means that waiting out the griefers is problematic. They are there getting easy honor medals off people who don’t PvP and just want the cache, and have no reason to stop.

I entered the JP for the first time today. The start of it was filled with red names.

It would help if you could go in as PvE only, everyone in there is green to you, and if you do it this way you don’t have access to any of the PvP rewards. A separate PvE chest could spawn for you with the sort of loot a JP of this type would have.

This is what’s wrong with this game! Everyone wants their hand held to do anything!

The JP is too hard? Stop trying to do it while drunk off your rear then! I can do it very quickly and so should you after you go through it a couple times.

Oh and honestly, it’s a PvP zone! Now why would you want to attack anyone from a server you’re competing against in a PvP zone? In PvP, red is dead. Period.

Don’t want to sound like I’m attacking you personally but a PvE mode for a JP? I’ll stop writing now or otherwise the kitten filter will have to start working overtime.

I don’t drink for one thing Mr. Rude Person, who makes false accusations. For another, I have a slow laggy connection which means that jumping puzzles are difficult. It’s not unusual for me to be one spot on a puzzle then dead on the ground in the next minute because the game lagged.

But whether or not I can do the puzzle is completely irrelevant. Way to miss the point, Mr. Don’t Know How To Read.

Can you guest to that server and get your guild stash?

Should be an invisible exotic holder. All exotics go in there and can’t be sold to a vender. When you switch out weapons, they go to the nearest empty inventory slot. For example, if I am on my ele and I switch from dagger dagger to staff, one will replace the staff space and one will go to the next empty slot. This makes it slower to switch back again as I have to look for my other dagger somewhere in inventory.

I am guessing you didn’t actually deposit the gold. It can be a little hard to read on the panel and if it was, for example 1gold 66copper (10066) and you typed into the bank panel 16600 or 10068 by accident it won’t go through. That’s happened to me a couple of times, mistyped the amount and the gold doesn’t deposit. So, if it didn’t go through and you then deleted the toon with gold on it there is no way to get it back. Sorry.

I got a suspension using the guild bank, trading gold between 2 others to get the title but the other two didn’t so its kind of random. The best way would be just to buy for your other account and email the items. Or don’t bank any gold sent. Send small amounts, 20 gold at a time maybe.

I’d love to see a PvE version of the sactum. It’s instanced now…why not a second instance without PvP. Then everyone is happy. PvE’ers can get their achievement without having to fight players, PvPers can gank each other to kingdom come…and of course, the PvE version wouldn’t have WvW badges or blueprints in the chest, but make it like a regular PvE jumping puzzle chest.

This is exactly what they should do. A PvE version with the jumping puzzle achievement and now the cache and the WvW version where it is now with PvP rewards.

Or make it so you can go in as PvE only and you don’t get any of the PvP rewards.

Hmmm. Maybe before you send the gold to your other account, party up with it and say in party chat what you are doing. That you own both accounts and you are transferring money from one account to another. Something that the people who do the suspending can check out. Maybe you can ask support to see if both accounts can be tagged as yours in your support history. You may still get a suspension but you will have the digital trail to get unsuspended fast and this may lessen the chance of future suspensions.

Another possibility. I read that the trigger was a sudden increase in the bank balance. Don’t know if this is true, but don’t have your other account bank the money. Or just buy items that other account needs and mail the items to it, not money.

The valid solution to OS camping is to gather a counter-force and conquer OS for yourself.

That sounds simple but it’s harder for people who don’t normally do WvW, don’t have friends there, don’t know where WvWs hangout and don’t know how to gather a counter force. If every random PvEer comes on and asks for WvW people to stop what they are doing and help open up the puzzle, will they do it? The first time you hear it? The 50th time? The hundredth time?

My poor little guild that I have been with for about 3 years is almost dead. Maybe one or two others will be playing at one time and none of us do WvW.

Junk is stuff like hooves or porous bones. Items that you can’t sell on the trading post and can only vender. If you can salvage or sell it on the trading post, then it’s not junk.

Accounts don’t get an IP ban for just cussing. To get an IP ban means botting or cheating was going on.

My guild was pinging them in chat, seeing who could get the most. We were saving them up for future Porous Bone armor.

Because I assumed permanent bans were only for people hurting the game like bots,etc and knowing there was a block feature and an optional language filter never would I imagine they would justify a permanent i.p death for inappropriate language.

You agreed to the TOS, saying you read it. Once you got a few suspensions that were getting longer and longer, you could have googled it and read it. In the future I recommend you don’t agree to legal documents without reading them first.

From reading this document I gather you must have gained a large number of infractions and very long suspensions, one right after another. Again, if those didn’t teach you to moderate your typing then a bar wouldn’t have either. Also, it’s not cursing on game that gets people in trouble so much as cursing and abusing other players.

A person can report all they want, but that is a PvP area and reporting people for that is not only ridiculous but there is no way that PvPers will get in trouble for that. I can say this being a person who is (almost) completely PvE and who has barely touched WvW.

There was a tiny one in Queensdale. I thought it was a ranger spirit and was ignoring it till it got aggro in the middle of a fight with a bunch of centaurs, wrapped me up in roots and nearly got me killed.

I would say, general discussion is for the game itself. Combat, gameplay, how people feel about changes or changes they would like. Threads of that nature. You topic wasn’t really about the game. It was more about computer systems as they relate to the game.

You will have to let support help you now. They will contact you through the ticket you made. When you bound it to a permanently deactivated account, it messed it up.

If they made it a requirement to use fine transmutation crystals, or something similar, to add an item to your wardrobe, that would really increase sales for them. They could use this system to make the town clothes wearable in combat as well. A PvP like wardrobe would be great for this game. A wardrobe with eternal use skins that you get from the game by buying the armor and using some sort of stone to unlock it in the panel.

Clones. I bet some tricky Asura is working on clone technology and has Dwarven tissue samples from before the ritual.

Pretty much at this point you have 4 options. Ask for support to move you (highly unlikely, they don’t normally do this), guest on that server while earning gold to buy enough gems for a transfer, pay for a transfer with real money or delete all your characters and then transfer for free. If you do this, be sure to place all your non soulbound items and money in the bank before deletion.

Forgot to add, there is a 7 day cooldowns between transfers.

The way to solve the problem that OP is talking about is to have the game open from 9am PT to midnight PT only. This would solve the pesky problem of people playing during their daytime when us normal people are asleep. They’re probably just a bunch of durn foreigners anyway.

Either that or petition for everyone to have the OP’s wake/sleep schedule since he is the center of the universe.

Want to add my thanks to ANet for the AOE loot. Not just for the AOE part but also for the ability to split the loot part from the rez/talk to NPC/interact with item part. Now I won’t be accidentally talking to NPCs, rezing, or picking up rocks or branches in the middle of combat. The only thing to do now is remember the new key for when I do want to do those things. Lol. (Gosh darn it, I’m hitting the F key, why can’t I access my bank. Oh yeah, G key now. Nvm. O.o)

I got 100% map on one. The rest I get the vistas and poi’s if I am close enough. The hearts I just get if I fill one up by playing in a heart area and happen to kill what it requires. The only maps I try to do full on each are the ones that reward you with exotics on completion. I figure that eventually I’ll get full PvE map completion on each of my alts but not rushing it.

I don’t usually look at other people’s armor unless I’m standing by them and something about it catches my eye. Otherwise no. Most armor looks so similar to one another that most don’t stand out.

Sounds like your account was hacked. You need to run a security scan and check for malware, including a keylogger. You also need to change your password and your email. An account rollback is possible but this is a once in a life time service and unless you lost valuables, you may want to keep that in reserve if you get hacked again and lose more than this time. Since you still have access to your account, you probably don’t need to contact support unless you just want to put this on record since it may have been used for botting.

However if there is nothing specific that you need support to do, you probably don’t need to contact them.

It’s nighttime for Gaile, about 1am for her, so you can’t expect any official help for many hours.

While leveling, you out level your armor so fast that the stats hardly matter. I just bought green armor every 10 levels off the TP and didn’t worry about the stats on it. I didn’t bother about the runes on them. I usually just put gems that I had collected in the slots. It wasn’t till I got to level 80 that I researched the stats and looked into which set was best.

You can try to use this crafting guide also in the future and for a hint how to progress now.

If you didn’t read it yourself then you don’t actually know what it said. ANet does not ban or suspend people according to what they said on some site that doesn’t belong to them. Only for chat said in the game.

It still works. Delete all your characters and you can move to any non full server.

Refunding deactivates that credit card also tho. And if you attempt to link your old account to the new one it causes problems and you will have to contact support.

Refunding is a somewhat extreme solution, just because you dislike your account name.

If you moused over those coffers descriptions in the gem store it said one of the items within was a recipe. There were at least 2 threads on the forums about the recipes not being in the rich dragon coffers. So this is for all the people who bought those coffers and didn’t get what was advertised.

I like the medium armor a lot. My only disappointments is that the metal clasps and gears have their base color tuned so high that you have to use the extremely dark colors just to get something that’s not incredibly pale, and I don’t care for the helmet.

This thread was in the forum some time back and it seems to be an actual city in Asia. Some guy recognized the place and described where it was. If you look you can see Chinese type lettering and a phone number on the sign.

Strange. I got a bsod also but I was able to turn off the computer after a few minutes and then turn it back on and it started normally.

You might want to try the Tech Support forum. This forum is more for people who got suspensions and other stuff like that.

Seriously though, AOE looting is a nice quality of life improvement. Automatic looting just comes across as laziness now that we have AOE looting.

I want auto looting where it loots precursors out of other players bags when they get near me.

After spending 50 gold in a failed attempt to get a jade weapon and after I failed to get a fused weapon, my urge to spend more gold/money is at a low spot right now. For me, it almost feels like too little and too late. While I bought a lot of stuff off the Guild Wars 1 shop, the RNG in this game has made me feel like I don’t want to spend money here anymore. Right now I am completely ignoring any armor or weapons ANet has to sell. I feel, idk, disillusioned or something.

So no. Not buying.

I feel that the frequency of the camp attacks needs to be toned down. Currently it’s like as soon as the Karka Queen is down, you look at the meta-event and all 4 settlements are contested again. That’s just not right. It should remain clear for at least 15 – 20 mins (maybe half an hour) after the Queen event is over to at least give players a breather and savour their victory.

Several of the other meta events are every 2 hours or so. An event as difficult as this one shouldn’t run more often than that and maybe even less often. Maybe no more than 6 times a day, every 4 hours. Any event that restarts a few minutes after it ends is on too fast a timer. If this event isn’t done it should fail after a period of time, maybe 30 minutes. The mobs should disappear from the camps and the timer restart.

Yes, each one is supposed to give you 10 levels to max out.

For which to do first, if you are doing it for benefits I personally would suggest cooking. The buffs are always useful. The food is fairly easy to harvest and unlike killing mobs, you always get at least one of them per node. The others, if you are doing it in hopes of keeping your gear current, I wouldn’t do it. If you are doing it just to level you might use this link to check prices and how to do it efficiently and (relatively) cheaply.

Some of the pets the pets in Guild Wars 1 were from the expansions. The alligator from Elona and the Phoenix from Cantha for example. My guess is, when new lands are opened up with new animals, then Rangers will get more pets. Cantha would be a good place to get turtles and crabs.
