10 different professions and male and female version of each. Which ones were you suggesting? All? One for each Guild Wars 2 profession and its male/female version? That would be 16 sets in the gem store. So when you say put the armor in the gem store, which one(s) did you mean and why those and not the others?
About not getting chests from world bosses, I know of one situation where that happens. If you have a character parked at a boss site and use it to do the event repeatedly you will hit DR (diminishing returns) and stop getting the chests.
They never had dyeable underwear in Guild Wars 1, just that ugly grey color. I think one of the reasons they don’t make it dyeable is that some people would then dye it to match their skin color as close as possible so when they are without armor they look nude. Even though they aren’t actually nude, people running around LA apparently naked would spark a lot of complaints.
Maybe if instead of the standard one color, ANet could give you a set of colors like the starter colors you get at character creation. You could then use those colors to dye your underwear while avoiding the “naked players” problem.

You can open your Hero Pane, select the crafting tab and look at the recipe. It shows how many claws you need and shows how many you have total (including what’s in your bank).
Interesting. I’ve never looked at my crafting tab away from a bank or crafting site. I’ll have to give that a try and see what it looks like.
One tiring thing for me is how the exact same complaints come up in different threads over and over again.
For example, the complaint about grind in this game and how much grindier it is than the worse Korean game grind and how ANet promised zero grind. Thread after thread after thread. Like a swamp full of player frogs croaking out the same complaint. Some forum warrior can dash into the swamp and demolish the complaint with their greatsword of truth, but after a few seconds the player frog chorus starts up again “Grind, grind, grind, grind, grind, grind”.
This is still happening, and also many of the posts that I have +1’ed are still marked red.
Same, posts like buttons will sometimes be gray the first time I even look at a thread. Liking something doesn’t change the color, however those may still show up as liked in my history.

One thing that is really irritating in GW2 are the pop-up windows for things like overflow servers and the end of Fractals (Ready screen).
Please for the love of god, Can’t you have them pop-up on the right side of the screen (the achievements panel) so they are out of the way.
For me it’s really annoying that you complete a fractals and then get a huge window pop-up in the middle of the screen saying “are you ready to move on?” They should add a button that says “I will be as soon as I can see where the EFFING chest is.” Problem is because the window is so big, it obscures your view so you can’t really see where you’re going… They may as well just switch the screen to BLACK with a huge “READY” button and have you guess where the chest is… that’s kinda how it feels now!

Something like that. Underflow servers would be this games version maybe. Maybe when you go into a zone it puts you into an underflow server along with all the other people from the other servers until its full. Then it starts a new underflow server. Let people have the option to stay in their home server or if they get in a new, empty underflow server, they will get offers to move them to the full one as people leave the area. Pretty much the same as districts.
Infusion slots are just like regular upgrade slot. You can overwrite them with a different infusion.
Nice to know. I was thinking about putting in the non agony in the slots, but didn’t want to ruin a 30 or 40 laurel investment if I wanted agony on them later.
Maybe get a nice screenshot instead, maybe of the 2 of you standing next to each other in a place you really like or is interesting, then have a painting made of that picture.
I’ve noticed this “poofiness” of the armor on Sylvari. I deleted my first Sylvari Mesmer at level 14 because she had a normal body type and the armor was so poofed out, it looked peculiar. The one I have now, I picked the skinniest body available because of the way the armor looks. I have crafted exotic on my Mesmer and I love it except for the way its puffed out over her butt. Her previous armor was even worse for making her look several sizes bigger.
Hmmm the previous post I’ve seen here with the same problem had Gaile Gray saying to contact support. She did not say that they didn’t give refunds in this case.

Well something rather funny happened today after zoning in to Diessa plateau.
I somehow spawned on top of a tree which I really don’t remember being there. Christmas came early I suppose.
So what is the strangest thing that happened to you after entering a zone?
A guildie did that once. We went thru the portal and she disappeared but started laughing in chat. I could see her dot but not her. Finally saw her standing on top of the tree. Strange. Lol.
Warriors can be a little squishy sometimes, which is why I equip both a rifle and melee weapons. When my health drops enough I switch to rifle and start kiting until my health is higher. Things don’t die as fast but then neither do I.
Hmmmm maybe there is a difference between people who can become Risen and those that die permanently. That means everyone who can be revived will be a Risen under the right circumstances. And that means you. So next time you are in Orr, say hello to your future friends and neighbors.
If its a hovering animation rather than a flapping one, part of the weirdness may be because it was taken from a dragon (horizontal back) and moved to you (vertical back). This means the hovering is no longer aimed downwards but horizontally. Since the hovering direction is wrong, it looks peculiar and that may be why some people are saying they like it on their Charr, because their posture directs the movement more downward.
Edit: on the Charr not talking about how it looks while running, just while standing.
I went over there to buy the karma ori sickle in Captains Retreat. Not only contested with numerous mobs but also with a champion. Each time I go to Southsun to farm, I check the map and each time the towns are contested. It looks like the towns remain contested, which limits the amount of moving around you can do in that area. It also means you can’t easily use the bank or trading post on the ship by the (I think) Point Lion waypoint. I don’t know if that waypoint can be solo cleared but after doing the event back then and having large numbers suddenly spawn around me in the town, not sure it’s worth the trouble.
Imo it’s not making fun of Russians. It’s making fun of the Soviet political system, which is a big difference. The references to the moletariate is the big clue here.
I doubt the dragon coffers stay as drops but Dragon Bakitten most likely a recurring festival, so you get them in the trading post throughout the year until the supplies are replenished next June.

Yah, Orr was cleansed and Zhaitan defeated for those who have finished the personal story but not for those who haven’t. If the game was instanced they could do it as OP suggested but since each map has a mixture of people who have and have not defeated Zhaitan, there is no way to reconcile that. Therefore the maps can’t change according to your storyline.
A minor point, once your characters reach 1 year old, they will likely get a birthday present. In Guild Wars 1 they were minipets and some were fairly valuable, especially the rare ones from characters that were several years old. So, if you delete your old toons you won’t get one for them.
Its just a point that people who are honest on small things will be honest on large things, and vice versa. It’s the basic underlying character of a person who isn’t comfortable with having something that doesn’t belong to them, no matter how they got it.

Well one reason is they might catch it later and delete the slot. If you have a character you are working on or a mule holding a lot of stuff, this could be annoying. Another thing is, some people are very honest and it would bother them to have something that doesn’t truly belong to them.

They have PvEers in WvW all the time doing area completion, the jumping puzzle and using the bank. Unless you announce it over chat, no one will ever know.

As someone who dislikes/disapproves of mounts, please make sure you emphasize the proper context. If you look at that statement, it comes with the specific qualifier that there will be no mounts at release. They did not say they will never add mounts, nor did they say they might in the future.
As far as I know, there has been no solid yes/no to mounts from the developers, otherwise these threads would be insta-closed. They did state that there wouldn’t be mounts in F&F, but nothing since.

From what you said, you have a free character slot. Make a character and run it thru each of the 5 cities. That will get you 15 transmutation stones. If you need/want more, delete and repeat.
They want you to use pets, not be rewarded for not using them. They consider the pet as an essential part of the class mechanic. You will need to come up with a compelling reason to change this in order to be considered. Otherwise it’s just one of many ‘stow pet’ threads.
Dragon Bash is confirmed to not count. They took the eaisest fix on it. Not fixing it. xD
You need to finish 2 story quest + the effingies burn. But the effingies seems to be a long kitten and money invest as you have to travle a lot between zones to find the few effingy to burn them
If you guest to 2 other servers each time you get to an effigy, you can do 9 per area instead of 3. Each effigy is at the same spot in each sever. This saves a lot of waypointing costs and traveling time.
In Guild Wars 1, every year each holidays had a set of quests to do. Not only were they fun but you got some nice rewards for them. The important thing is, they were more engaging than breaking piñatas, lighting fires, or talking to 8 different people.
There were the series of quests and then the optional harder missions. People played the heck out of these and really enjoyed them. Maybe ANet needs to reconsider its “no quests” stance and think about bringing them back, at least for the holidays. Cuz, I got to tell you, in comparison lighting fires and breaking piñatas is boring. I like this game, I realiy do. But I’ve been doing this festivals achievements and I’ve been having trouble staying awake.
Maybe they could use some sort of overflow system that allows parties of up to five people to do this sort of thing on a separate shard. Or look at how other games handle quests and modify them to suit this game.
There is nothing worse than throwing a party and the guests are bored and peevish in the middle of it.
Opened roughly around 175 normal coffers, and got 2 tickets, 7 mini’s and a metric ton of fireworks, along with some food and a bunch of Zhaitaffy. The system works, and is fine as is, just gotta hope you get lucky.
Just out of curiosity, if you one of the people who have opened 2000 to 3000 coffers and not gotten a ticket, would you still say the system works and is fine as is?
I don’t know about the cases you’ve seen but the ones I’ve seen where people got stuff back, it wasn’t their fault. They were either hacked or there was a bug. Otherwise, if its your fault then no, they won’t replace.
The only time I remember where someone deleted something and got it back was the mini Rytlock. Perhaps because they replaced these at launch when people deleted characters with the Rytlock and since there is a precedence, they continue to do so.
Perhaps you could site some actual cases you saw where someone deleted something and they restored it?
While I am in complete agreement with those who say the whining is, frankly, silly. I do think that this chapter in GW2’s history has been completely over run with communication issues. From the still ongoing achievement total issue to the still ongoing debate about the Dragon Ball achievements to the dates for the event itself to the lack of clarity on the fireworks events to who knows what else will still be coming. Every ANet staffer seems to be giving out different information and that information, in some cases, has dumped some real problems into the collective lap of the playerbase.
They seriously need to go back to the drawing board on how get their stories straight and how to effectively communicate with their players.
Oh man, I agree so bad. It’s like, communication wise, they’ve developed butterfingers. The things they need to say get fumbled time and again. They need to revamp how they communicate to the players.
I think they’re talking about recipe s for the minis, if u put the 3 minis u bought from the TP plus the risen knight mini u get from dragon coffers into the forge u will get an exotic mini
I don’t think so. You don’t have to have a recipe to do that. You just put them in the forge and click the button. A recipe will give you permission and instructions to make a food or piece of gear, like the recipes from the Flame and Frost event or recipes you buy from a karma vender for a piece of gear.
I think ANet messed up here. Either there were supposed to be recipes and they left them out or the description is wrong. Either way, people are buying these coffers and they don’t have inside them what the description says they do.
I just don’t agree with offering limited rewards that require you to be on at a specific time during a 3 day period, which happened to be a weekend where post people choose to spend time with family.
I was busy all last week, and was really looking forward to the event. I figured since we had seen no other events with these types of “requirements” that I would be safe not logging on, as I would have plenty of time to catch up over the next couple weeks.
Guess I got defecated on with my presumptions.
They did this on the major holidays in GW 1, except that it was one day, not 3.
