This is not a game bug but a way guilds were designed before launch. Guild influence and the upgrades made by this influence are specific to their servers. This means that guild members on a different server than the server the guild was made don’t have access to those upgrades unless they transfer their account to that server.
The Devs are aware that players would like this changed and have already said they are looking in to it.
You have to log onto each characters and please go to Mist each first time log into your character to acquire the skins.
I don’t remember having to go to the mists. I do remember just hopping on and it being in my mailbox. Make sure you have open slots in your mailbox.
Nothing to do with the dyes that I can remember. When the wardrobe came out it was necessary to go to the mists on each character to unlock the PvP skins that each one had equipped.
It does give a warning that upgrading it will cause it to be soulbound. Unfortunately people do sometimes ignore these.

Edit: you’re correct. I checked ingame and it does warn you that it will make it account bound if you apply an upgrade, not soulbound.

I don’t think he should be in the game. He was a great guy, amazingly funny and talented and he died a sad, unnecessary death. However he had no ties to this game. If they had added him in as an Easter egg at launch that would be different. But now? It would feel forced, like they were taking advantage of this publicity to score some publicity points of their own. Maybe in a year or two, an Easter egg reference could be put in.
I’m really debating getting these for my Mesmer. She is white, silver and blue and the sword and focus on her matches her colors. Unfortunately, I made the Anomaly for her back when she was pink and white. So expensive. I hate to give it up.
I have 9 level 80s. One is retired now and is acting as a mule, but I try to play a different profession every day, which means I don’t play the same char more often than once every 8 days, except my guardian who is my char for dungeons.
I find that frequent swapping changes up the gameplay enough to keep it more interesting.
The WvW suggestion is also what I use. Also, I have an unbound weapon, 2 or 3 actually, of the type I use on a key run. I mail these individually to a guildie who returns them to me, also individually. This allows me to grab them from the mail to use during the first instance, so any kills I get open skills for the weapon I will be using in the rest of the run. I have an upgraded account bound weapon in my chest that I switch to when I go to WvW to get my armour.
if you go to WvW for the armour, why don’t you pick the weapons from the bank at the same time?

It’s not possible to go to WvW while in the instance so I’m assuming here he is using these to unlock skills while in the instance. Once out he goes to WvW to get his upgraded gear.

The drop rates must be extremely low for all those permanent items. I saw a set of archived black lion chest drop rates. One set of 1000 had one item out of the 3 possible drops.
Anyone who opens in expectation of getting one of these “rare” drops is going to be disappointed. People do pay for these, but imo they do it because essentially they like to gamble.

I was referring to the 3 permanent items, not the 3 slots in the chest. The hair kit, trader and merchant. That out of 1000 chests, only one of one of these had dropped.
There were 4 contracts: Hairstylist, bank access, merchant and tp-express
The hairstylist now is removed so its 3 again
The archive set of 1000 chest results that I was referring to, were at a time when there were only 3 contracts. So that set only had results for those 3 and that is what I was talking about. I didn’t bring up the fourth since it had no information concerning it.
It is against the forum rules to “name and shame” another player. If it wasn’t, any person could come on to the forum and accuse anyone else of anything, based on nothing except “their word” that it happened.

They won’t return your money or items. The usual punishment ANet hands out for scamming is a suspension, starting at 72 hours for a first offense with each succeeding suspension longer in length. Bans are kept for bots, gold sellers, people who have been suspended so many times that they hit the limit, etc.
So whoever you reported, if ANet agreed with you that there was a scam, probably got 3 or more days of suspension. This would be after a few days to a week, the time it took for the ticket to work its way through the system, be evaluated and a decision reached.
They do suspend and ban. The outraged posts in the Account forum protesting their suspension show this. The posts by friends asking for banned individuals to be reinstated show this. Gaile’s posts in the stickied thread Tickets for review-3 days and older where she tells people that their final review of their accounts upholds their ban also show this.

If you have a char that’s wearing radiant armor, it really fits in well with that. I have a guildie who has an ele wearing the radiant helm and gloves. He got the dagger and staff and it matches very nicely.
Items should be available at all tiers so a few people can get them, even if they are essentially soloing the events.

All items are available by T3 aren’t they? I think you can get to T3 with like 10 people on the map. Maybe even less after this patch.

if you character select after getting stuff from your bank, you will appear where you were before you went to wvw.
There is also a leave WvW button (looks like one for leaving an instance) on the bottom right corner of the WvW panel that appears when you hit your key to access WvW (default key is b) or the WvW icon on the UI, so going to character select and through those loading screens is unnecessary.

I feel this is said a lot, but it really doesn’t make much sense.
“rng” = “random number generator”
so that means that saying says “random number generator is random number generator”
a better saying would be “rng is r” = “random number generator is random”
It’s hard to find a way to express the concept of randomness without someone getting nitpicky about it. I once said that it all depends on your luck. Another poster took umbrage at the word luck and described at great length how it wasn’t luck but blah blah blah (many technical words and who cares anyway).
As far as the average player can determine, it’s random. The term rng is rng gets the point across as well as anything else, in addition to being concise and reminding people that the randomness is part of a computer generated set of numbers.
For general posting usage to discuss the randomness of drop rates, rng is rng works good enough. If it is a technical discussion then dissecting the term is useful and necessary then. But not otherwise.
iirc, when new weapons come out they are one ticket for one month, at least the last few were sold that way. After that they are increased in price, typically to 5 tickets. The next set, so far, comes fairly fast after the last set has been increased in price.

This last time it appeared, it was a right before creating this topic. I had started a post, typed a few words, previewed, then changed my mind and deleted it before posting it. When I selected another forum to look at the topics, the warning appeared.
For key farming it’s not much good as you will need to access your bank to get it.
The digital deluxe upgrade is 2000 gems, which is 4 of those golem bankers. If you were planning to buy a 500 gem banker every 2 weeks, after 8 weeks the digital deluxe upgrade is cheaper.
You could always buy 500 gems every 2 weeks until you got the 2000 gems and get the upgrade.
That would be nice. The enchantment powders help but I didn’t convert the ones that are better (magic find, speed boost, harvesting boost, etc) so I still have a lot of separate ones. In addition I play all 8 of my chars in turn, which means they get played every 8 days, so I don’t store stuff like boosters on them. They have to run to the bank each time.
A wallet that I could withdraw boosters from would be very useful.
T6? I’m lucky nowadays to get on a map with T3. Better get these ingredients while the content is hot and people are willing to push it to that tier.
They add additional events with the addition to each tier. This means that the lower tiers are subsequently easier to obtain.
Those maps that could only get T3, will now be able to easily get T4 due to the added events. You need a set number of event completions for each tier.
So you should be rejoicing instead of complaining.
I wonder if it will be easy to get the higher tiers when the rush is gone and only a few people are in this area? You need people there to be doing those new events on order to reach those tiers.
Items should be available at all tiers so a few people can get them, even if they are essentially soloing the events.

You say it’s someone who knows you. That’s means it’s a family member or friend. Delete the account. If you still want to post there, remake with a stronger password.
I love the Megaservers too. It’s really nice to see lots of people on the maps. However I can see the point of making one or all of the cities to be server specific.
First: is to see the people on your server, to see familiar names.
Second: is so WvW people can come in and recruit people to play right then.
Third: is for the guilds to recruit people. Since influence is still tied to servers, most guilds want guildies that are from their server. If their people are spread out amongst all the maps it’s harder to get enough influence to do guild upgrades.
Fourth: for role players to find each other and play on a server that is less likely to be have people trolling them.
That looks extremely fake to me. In fact, I’ve gotten one similar for a non existent Chase bank account recently. It said, if I didn’t do what they requested in 24 hours, my bank account would be required to renter my information when I next accessed it.
They have already said that they don’t contact you first. If they do contact you first about something, such as information they’re sending you, it doesn’t have links.

The year the game came out, that november / december there was a huge number of obvious!!!!! bots, which I and several others reported every single day and still they remained there farming for at least 2 weeks.
Cant tell me that several naked rangers all with names aaaaabbbbbccc or something chinese or whatever walking the EXACT same circle 24/7, with a movement lag on exact the same spot everytime are no bots.
In Forstgorge Sound near the TP there, was the same, even did a bug report for this spot there, only recognized it there cause my performance suddenly dropped to zero, then suddenly one by one about 50 bots popped up farming the same mob everytime.
Took an eternity for anet to ban them.

Just addressing what you said about bots here. ANet has said before that they ban them as a group. The reason they ban as a group is to try to keep the bot makers from figuring out what exactly is getting ANet’s attention. Since they ban as a group and only at intervals, this means that bots can run for quite some time before they are banned.

Imo, their way of banning, in groups and not individually, is working. How often does one see bots nowadays? Especially as compared to the start of the game where they were much more common.
