I cant find the old Sigil thread with search function somehow so i just post it here:

Sigil 1: +10% boon duration (similar to 10% condi duration)
Sigil 2-x: +20% regeneration duration (Or Protection, Fury, etc. similar to all condi sigils like 20% longer burns)
Sigil 3: -6% condition damage (similar to condi +6%)

Please fix chain-skills!

Big problem I feel when playing Rev, is that chains skills cost energy aswell.
For example Duelists Preparation: 10 Energy on activation, 10 more Energy to use Shackling Wave.
No other class has this, check thief for similar skills (shortbow cluster bomb for example).
Same issue with Staff 2 chain skill. Youre barely able to use both skills.
Please remove the costs for the second skill, the amount of situations where I use it successfully is so kitten low. You have to care about your energy already so much, now keep it up and kite around just for one skill?

Uhm yes and no Look at Flanking Strike/ Larcenous Strike, and Infiltrator Strike/Infiltrators Return both cost Initiative.

then look at the amount. It has the same amount like any other skill5 on weapons. But those chain skills on Revenant have together a 30% higher cost in relation to the 5th skill (costs are compareable)

His main condition is torment, so what this tell you: He wants the enemy to move so the torment actually do good damage.

See the problem that this has no sinergy together.

Wrong. They dont need to have any synergy, look at it more like: You got condi for every situation: You get kited, torment. You get melee’d, burn.

Since Revenant only has one condi weapon set, it needs a ranged condi weapon (I hate condi but still, half baked turkey is still half frozen). This would atleast add the possibility for a only-condi build.

tbh, there are bigger issues than an additional underwater weapon for Revenant. They made spear lazy-design so condi users and physical users have an autoattack. For underwater battle you just need to cage with spear5 (which is pretty slow but whatever) and/or catch up with Phase Traversal and just autohit them down. Shift Right click spear2 for autoattack.

It was bad enough when we got the same for second as for third. That was extremely demoralizing. To get nothing at all would be the last straw.

What needs to happen and soon is for meaningful results (doesn’t have to be material rewards) to be attached to position in each skirmish and to position in the match at the end of the week. Make it matter more whether your side comes second or third, not less, and make it so that everyone is aware that it has some significance, even if they don’t personally care what order the teams finish.

5/4/3 or 3/2/1 is demoralizing to whoever the winning server decides to demoralize.

2/1/1 or 1/0/0 is demoralizing to the second place server.

I thought we can be less kids and be more realistic, you loose, zero points. But meh, seems like this wont work.

Big problem are the changed prices for inscriptions using the new cloth patches. Changing ascended armor was once pretty annoying due to the loss of runes. Now you loose your runes AND its like 10-15g per piece depending on the wanted stat. Thats 60-90g per ascended set. just changing it. With that price you could craft one part, so after changing stats 6 times you would have a full set instead.

In my case, Revenant is lacking most of the legendary animations:

Juggernaut: Hammer projectile is still standard, such as every other skill. The quicksilver drops when swinging it are the only effect.

Bolt: No effect at all. Just the standard sparks, no effect on any skill.

Flameseeker Prophecies: Atleast we have the skill4 animation now, could have another bubble skin with shield5

Nevermore: Is actually fine, Surge of the Mists could need a big raven spirit rushing forward but thats just an additive.

I dont own any other Legendary useable on revenant, but I guess mace and axe might miss some animations aswell.

Its (after 1,5 years) not a new class anymore, I thought we could get some fancy animations. If you know other missing animations on Rev or other classes (I guess the new specs might miss some) just add them here.

Maybe a Viper build is viable, but people then should know that PvE is all about dmg, so you go for dem burns.

From what I remember, Condi Rev is among one of the worst condi builds in the game for PvE.

Condi PS Warr has better support than Revenant as a whole and higher DPS.
Condi Engi/Ranger both have way higher DPS.
Even Condi Reaper has quite a lot more DPS, even ignoring chill fields.

Well you can still do some damage and kill random mobs. But yes, its a waste of gold.

I honestly think the Revenant needs more than this to feel complete. They are lacking in two major things – number of skills available (period, not just at one time), and infexibility of their weapon and utility skills in general.

I still think that this would solve the main problem (im not talking about bugs): No Skill variations. Yes you would still not be able to choose freely, but 3 legends grant way more choices and possibilities.

Killing an NPC grants 1 stack of bloodlust sigil, killing a player grants 5.
Why not also grant 5 stacks for each successfully ressed player? Would maybe make ressing for few people more attractive than just letting teammates die. (Talking about a pugblob now).

Why should ressing people give that? People would get downed on purpose, like setting your house on fire for insurance, just cause it’s profitable. Having downed allies should never be something you can profit on. That’s bad gamedesign.

You get stomped way too fast or damaged down in blobfights or when roaming. Theres no /down command, so most of the situations you go downed, you actually want to stay alive and not grant your friends a stack. Getting 25 stacks by kills are done in like 5 seconds of blobfight.

Are you trolling? Just have a dead/alive mesmer inside. If dead, ress him. If alive, just port the whole blob inside. If no mesmer there, get one. This perma porting has been prevented by using those markes which is one of the best features they added yet. If you have problems hiding with thief even with stealth, you fail hard. Why? Since the marker is bugged, you go stealth and the dot doesnt move, you do. So stop crying.

I was wondering why Anet keeps switching between odd score numbers like 3-2-2 or whatever it is right now.
Why not a simple 1-0-0. This way you could just look at the score ingame and see “aha, server B has 43 points while A has 21”, now you know exactly which server won how many skirmishes. Its the same scoring system, just another number.

you can go for a apothecary/shaman build with ventari/mallyx but its for organized smallscale and blobs. You will get 9k-12k heals and hit quite good with your condi. But its not only difficult, its also quite annoying to use it even though it has ok-ish dps and a huge amount of heal. You will be as mobile as a fish on the rocks.

tbh, the commander tag idea sounds like one of the worst. Tags should be bought with gold and maybe anet could add additional icons which cost 20k badges or something similar. Maybe a wvw achievement counter: each 3 wvw achievements which reached 100% you get a new icon.
Problem with this stuff: Wont help to get more people into wvw, will create bigger gaps between all day wvw people and random people. AND, it wont solve any of the actual problems that occur in wvw right now. So it would be actually a waste of time for that single part-time dev working on wvw.

As for an event i wanna see a meta event where a char airship has crashed into smc, leaving it in ruins but still explorable with the airship in the center. Players need to collect some kind of w/e crystal and energy/repair material (2 different types) then hand it into some NPC or w/e. parts are rewarded from killing players and taking objectives. Event would start and last for x amount of time and repeat while meta event is active rewarding the players with currency, amount based on place achieved, 1st 2nd or 3rd that can be traded for various rewards at a vender @ spawn.

Just a draft idea ive had for a long time now. as for making it work and balanced, idk but think concept would be cool.

This is so much PvE that it would change the whole matchup. Im talking about non significant changes which do not interfere with the score in the last 2 days of each matchup. Everyone knows that most servers are exhausted by wednesday since the MUs are already set. So why not make the last 2 days even more fun? 5 Days PPT, 2 Days fun.

I subscribe to the KISS principle when it comes to WvW.

We have, historically, been shown that gimmicks don’t work in WvW.

If you want an event, create one. Lots of players do. They’re fun.

Golem Rush was an actual event. Projectile changes work (wintersday). Its all not difficult stuff as long as anet actually cares about WvW.

What WvW is currently lacking: People don’t have the feeling that developers even work on this game mode. We’re getting events for PvE and PvP has their seasons. WvW hasn’t had any tournament/event since a long time.

My suggestion: Do an event each week, exactly 2 days before reset, so the whole Thursday and Friday. If several events have been designed, they are repeatable by random (but not the same event 2 times in 4 weeks for example, simple suppression of redundancy). Those 2-day lasting events should be fun of course, and give each matchup a fun ending (fun prevents salt a lot!). Those events should not destroy already placed siege, do not make a captured object neutral etc.

Events:

Siege related:

Explosive Golem Rush: All alpha golems cost 75% less supplies, have their health halved and explode on death! Alpha Golems now look like Veteran Dredge Mining Suits or Giant Risen (random!). Soulbound Alpha Golem Blueprints are available at the siege vendor for 20 WvW Badges (not useable after the event).

King of the Hill: Hills on Alpine BL and Air Keep on DBL give 10x the points when captured, but also 5x the points while being held! The siege-cap is reduced, go use your arms and feet!

Nokk’s Gravity Mess: Trebuchet and Catapult have their projectile travel distance capped at 50%. Shield Generators now push the players 100% further

Heavy Supplies: Each supply decreases your walking speed by 1%. For 2 days there are useable Charr-Battle-Bikes at the siege vendor for 10 WvW Badges. Each Bike 15 supplies to transform into (No siege, but transformation).

Environment related:

Payback Time: Animals (with white names) now have a stunbar, 10k health, are aggressive and do insane damage! (no Loot)

They got the plague!: NPCs are sick and have the daze-animation. They do halved damage and spread poison onto each player who is in a 600 radius to the sick NPC. Tower/Keep Lords have the barfing animation which poisons players standing in its … area. Stonemist Castle is now a fortress of sickness: Players or NPCs who die in SM create a poisoness green blobby field on the ground which poisons and weaken + cripple every player stepping in it. The poison of all those effects should be extremely low, but long enough to inhibit your heals.

Call the Undertaker!: Instead of going downed, you will be transformed into a skeleton with 10 bone counters and can fight with simple hits and kicks. Additional skill “Throw yer bones”: throw a bone on an enemy within range 600 and daze/knockdown/stun this enemy (randomly chosen). This skill does not make damage, and decrease your bone-counter by 1. You’re not able to use/place siege or pay supplies for building it. This transformation ends when you’re dead again or have lost all bone counters (there’s a 30% chance to lose a bone counter when you’re CC’ed such as stun etc.).

Pirates!: All NPCs are replaced with pirate NPCs, and make grumpy/drunken pirate noises when standing close to them. Keep/Stonemist Castle Lords (big grumpy Charr pirates) carrying the new rifle legendary and can now oneshot a player when screaming “ARRRR!” cooldown on this skill 3 seconds, not reflectable/blockable. All NPC-camps such as Hylek/Ogre/Dredge etc. are now Quaggan-pirates! Catapult projectiles now have a big portwine-projectile. Trebuchets are firing Quaggans with metal helmets to hit walls á la Evil Knievel (just projectiles, no actual NPCs). While walking around in WvW you will be able to find wood planks, a weapon item which can be used 3 times or be brought to the new supply caravans for extra swiftness: A Dolyak in a small boat with wheels!

Friday Might Fever: Night Fever? No Way! This is all day long party time in each Garrison and Stonemist castle. The Lordroom as a discoball hanging from the roof, making the room shiney! The Garrison/Stonemist Castle NPCs are busting out some awesome dancemoves! Even in combat mode they do a dance-off in increased speed, rocks and bulders are falling from the roof of the lordroom damaging enemies (just like the AC-rumble-Boss). Each boulder gives allies a might buff. Gives “Party hard” a new definition! Catapults and Trebuchets now shoot discoballs as projectiles. Other Tower and Keep lords are grumpy, saying stuff like “of course I wasn’t invited!”, “kitten Partyanimals!”, “Ohhhh my head…”.

More events could be added over time! Make WvW great again!

Can be exploited using neutral monsters/guards/fall damage to stack stats – basically creating a sigil that permanently increases your chosen stat with no actual game-mode effort.

You can also farm NPCs in WvW to get bloodlust stacks. If you would be able to read my text again, I mentioned it should be the same like kills: 1 for NPC, 5 for players.

So are we just gonna let T1 go on like this?

Thats the problem with linking: Before only the server population + amount of wvw guilds were the factors. Now you have the randomness of linking + people abusing the cheap transfers.
So how to farm every WvW-Fight: Transfer with your WvW buddies and cmds on a low pop server that usually gets linked with T1, and every link the T1 server will be glad to have you and farm the others. System is broken

Devastation
Ferocious Strikes – this competes directly with Vicious Lacerations, except that Vicious Lacerations is numerically better. Until Rev has a second main hand power weapon, there will be no reason to take this trait.

Malicious Reprisal is extremly good in WvW blobbing except of Ferocious Strikes: Drop a Hammer autoattack into a blob, get 2 unblockable, now drop the hammer and you will see a minimum of 2 people getting stuck.

Sure, sounds good.

But no more resetting mist energy to 50% on legend swap. Feel free to add your own version of a trade-off. If this happened and we still retained mist energy reset, it would be ridiculously overpowered.

Wouldnt be, its the same as before. Same Cooldown as explained: You switch from Legend A to B, so A and C get both on cooldown. By energy reseting its no difference at all.

More Info about your build/weapons would be helpful. Try the meta rev though. Revenant isnt doing well with its condition builds atm, the powerbuilds are ok do deal damage. If youre talking about PvE you should not have problems at all since rev got nothing in perfection but can do everything on average. So with Glint/Shiro you just autohit with sword and everything goes down.

Ventari Tablet disappearing in ground

on the Eternal Battlegrounds, if you place the Ventari Tablet at the water part between QL and the Hylek camp, and then move to the slope towards Dane, the tablet disappears in the ground while moving it up the slope. Its still there, and if youre standing infront of the QL Gate and try to get it up, it wont work. Its just rubbing the ground deep below. So I have to destroy it per elite or invoke 2 times. Didnt see that at other locations but will add here if it happens.

Is there any way we could get an indicator for the tether distance of the ventari tablet? Many times its like “this should be fine, maybe 1450 range? woops where did it went?!”. Would be nice to have it.

PS: A coloured ring in the skill symbol for Ventaris Will might be helpful.

You got no chance here. Why? I even get insulted by a CONDI TRAPPER THIEF for going Ventari/Mallyx blobhealer since he couldnt get me below 50% health after trying for 10minutes. Thats the mentality these days.

And if you ever get 10 different conditions with 30 stacks each, just take your time to blast lightfield 10 times + additional 10 times since you might get epi’d twice. Ah, and be sure to blast all those times in atleast one second. GL.

The real challenge for them I think would be fixing the bug where if an enemy is near a ledge or wall, Unrelenting Assault just doesn’t work at all.

When casting sword3, the character itself should get stuck on the enemy player but being invisible. Then theres a hologram of your character doing the attack. The invisible playerhugging is the evade-attack, and gets interrupted against shocking aura and crossing WvW-portals etc. like it is now BUT is restricted to your target! This way you would prevent the issue of attacking walls, random stuff and will not be canceled anymore if the player is close to an obstacle.

This post doesn’t make any sense. “Dire and trailblazer are really terrible stats for WvW. These stats are only good in PvE not in WvW and there is a reason those stats are banned PvP. Dire and Trailblazer are one A part of the reason why ball meta exists.” What the kitten i did just read? Anyways whiners whined enough and silly devs destroyed necro. Well started play occultist anyways.

If you read his sentence again, it makes sense. Or are you one of those dire condi trappers running around? Because you seem triggered.

limit the number of conditions it can copy, not really preferred as I wouldn’t want my own epis to spread a bunch of cripple..

They already made that for ranger, the boonshare-heal between its pet and the player. Everything has a fixed duration and stacks. Shouldnt be so difficult to do the same with Necro and the condis.

This happend to my asura ranger for 1 year straight. luckily it wasnt my main. Seems like there was a fix, and it worked. Dont know why it didnt worked for you. It even keep remembering the pets names now.

Actually sounds really good. But I doubt anet manages to fix UA in that way, that it sticks to your target rather than just attacking random imaginary people/walls/stones/plush animals.

If you were fighting people 1v10, it doesn’t really matter which classes they were, you’d fall down.

Unless you were a berserker, then you’d probably stay standing for 5 minutes before those 10 could down you.

It was an equal fight, but they just need 10 to kill 10-20 with the epidemic crap

Had 20 condis on me and tried to blast lightfield, got the vulnerability away SUCCESS! Well, those 40 burns still killed me. But atleast no vulnerability!
Gosh this cant be the new meta.

I asked some people in lions arch to blast them with me, thought it would keep its effect until I get condi bombed in WvW, but didnt. I guess its a bug.

It seems you have the solution to your problem, but you don’t want to hear it from others…

Ghost thieves are indeed annoying, they are troubling to deal with, and with the amount of them in WvW, it gets old fast.

But, with most things, they can be countered, measures can be taken to turn the table on them, many people don’t want or like hearing it, you obviously don’t, but they are able to be beaten, using what’s available.

Stealth Traps
Stun Breaks / Stability
Condi Clears/Immunities
Predicting where they are and then standing inside their Black Powder ring (They hit you, and then aren’t stealthed.)

Even with them in full DIRE gear, they are able to be caught and killed.

yadayada…. Still doesn’t justify STAYING in stealth while dealing DAMAGE….

They WOULDN’T be in STEALTH if you used STEALTH TRAPS and stood inside their BLACK POWDER ring, but, hey, let’s complain and cross our fingers for a nerf, so we don’t need to use our brains and try.

stealth traps arent for single targeting. yes you can use them, but you cant say “hey buy this item with a long casting time which is more than just obvious to beat this overpowered build”.

Wasnt here for the weekend, so now I see 10 people ganking between EB keep and SM with 3+ necros all on epidemic, venomshare thieves and condi mesmers. All those focus one target, epi 3 time and youre dead withing half a second. Oh and all around me aswell. Had 20 condis on me and tried to blast lightfield, got the vulnerability away SUCCESS! Well, those 40 burns still killed me. But atleast no vulnerability!
Gosh this cant be the new meta.

When I get in, I cant talk to NPCs and do anything. Then it crashes again.
