I support you. My main problem is, that there WAS balance before. Why?
-people could transfer to the tier they want to play in.
You want huge blob farmfests with lag? Go T1
You want smaller blobs or roaming but cant handle lag or blobs? move to a lower tier
You are welcome everywhere. And blobbing isnt endless due to server caps.
Now smaller servers get blobbed down since they cant transfer to a lower tier to escape it. And bigger servers just got bigger, blobbier and you get ganked everywhere since you dont only got people who enjoy blobs and organized fights, you also got roamers behind every corner. With condi builds, but thats another annoying topic.
Basically: You could choose were to go. You are on a high populated server? Well enjoy fighting 4 servers while 2 of those got a partner whilst having no huge difference to the hight populated server. GG anet.

UA is broken

The camera bug seems to be appearing way more often than before the patch. Like every 3rd UA. You can fix it using Phase Traversal, it also fixes itself after 10 or so seconds, but is annoying.

Using shield5 also fixes it.

It is a pretty big nerf

Cmon, you must be joking. If you crash a kid with a plane, but “nerf” it down to a truck its still overpowered as hell. Guess how many revenants using condi will be using this kitten now due to the 2 heals.

Its not a nerf, the runes went from extremly overpowered mesmer/thief usage to highly overpowered every-condi kitten class usage.

Give toughness stats defense for condis and its fixed, but this way its still freecasting.

Those annoying NPCs hitting you while you glide? Ye they dont give a kitten about the gliding mastery for stealth on dodge while gliding. Its completly useless.

The speed up is just insane. I was autohitting a 7man group with my rev on hammer, they went down in like 3 second. they couldnt even do kitten. Its ridiculous. LIke 3-4 Hammers flew around per second. Cmon Anet, stop using potatoe servers.

Dont you get like WAY too much of them by doing regular reward tracks? And not to forget the karma as mentioned above. Obsidian Shards are one of the easiest currencies to get atm.

Seriously. At this point I’m just kittened. I see 70% of the roamers using condi. Condi should be damage which should be ADDED to physical by decreasing physical damage. But it shouldnt do 400% damage in relation to physical with a kitten dire build.

Physical damage: Strength, Precision, Ferocity
Condi damage: Condition (+Expertise but I see that more of a pendant to Concentration)

So you basicly get the FULL damage with just one stat. The rest will be used for vitality and thoughness and you got a free casting condi idiot. I tried it out once with thief. You can just kill almost everything except warrior without even knowing what you do. I just need 3 skills, and I win 3on1. Like after 2 hours on thief. Its ok in PvE, no one even cares there. But remove it from WvW, its so kitten toxic. Theres no joy of trying to fight equal numbers with a physical roaming party. Not since chill damage and the confusion spam. We reached a point when we had 30 stacks of confusion on us, but dispells first cleansed immobilize and blindness. Its just sad.

Btw: And people wonder single condis get hunted by roaming parties? Dont wonder if you need to use that fudge.

As another thread i have suggested to add a uav function to detect high enemy density area to promote small group tactical advantage. I believe promotion of small group or solo roamer vaibility is the only way to increase wvw popularity.

The OP’s suggestion is counter productive in this aspect.

Nah. Lets just be able to view every enemy player on the map like watchtowers and stentries do. But the WHOLE map. Seriously? /FACEPALM

Ok, well not SO recent. Am I the only one thinking that condi builds completly ruined WvW? Everyone is crying about powercreep, which is less toxic than this nonsense.
You guys ruined GvGs since you just need 4-5 full condi idiots and win. PvP isnt much different. Yes, some would argue “its just a troll build”, but there are 80% freaking trollsbuilds running around in WvW. Is it just condi wars now? I thought it should be a nice side effect while loosing a bit physical damage. But no, it ruined WvW with Dire builds, perplexity runes and stuff like that. GG duelling a confusion mesmer. Its just my opinion, I like WvW for its fights, but this part is completly ruined. People rage whisper me when I defend a kitten camp since they just want to farm camps (???) and use condi builds. Those are people who are completly new to WvW and can smack almost all physical builds. Yes I could run anti condi, but thats a whole different build, and Revenant for example can only counter condi with condi. GG. Its kittening ruined. I just hope that next weeks LS3 brings some balance.

Dude I had several guys hardcore bantering me because I was defending a camp successfully for 3 hours straight. 2 guys came back every time they got killed, and complained that I’m defending. I asked why, the just want the camp to farm, and said I’m a terrible inhuman being and my mom has a special job in hell. Like seriously? I didnt know what to say.

Sounds like a Rivercart dude complaining. But anyway; Theres plenty of room and possibilities for defense on walls. You just have to place them correctly. Maybe walls should be 20% higher and 10% thicker so you dont have to place the AC from the ground and throw it up so every player knows how to defend.

Seriously. When standing in any town just doing regular banking stuff there are minimum 2 players with the SAB miniature doing random sounds SO loud, they cant be reduced except if you turn off the whole audio. So I’m ending up playing GW2 on mute since alot of people in WvW own those annoying minis too. Give us an option to mute it, is so freaking annoying.

Second: Replica Job-o-Tron backpack. Yes you replaced the characters voice with it, but do we really have to see the kitten dialog box? In a blobfight downed people ask for help so kinda get your eyes stuck on every dialog box. But then its just “Turbo—mode—engaged!” by a kitten backpack.

Well due to builds and the lack of focus on GvG, people went roaming or blobbing. In the last 2 months ive seen only 1 GvG. People tried to organize by themselves with spreadsheets so other guilds dont fight at the same spot etc. etc. The lack of anets support + the condi crap got it down. Tbh Rev was strong in GvG but not overpowered if you had a focus party for rev + necro + ele

I’ve always wondered the same thing honestly. Any why do legendary defenders have such awful armor? As the most op things in the game they should be pimped all to high heaven.

So, the SM Lord is OP? Dude if you capture SM just to kill the NPC you might consider to go raids instead of PvE farming in WvW

The only use is to get 50 Heralds together so the effects overlap, then all do /dance theres no other usage. You are getting targeted so fast in WvW when using glint, its like “HELLO HELLO TARGET ME, NUKE ME, GANK ME HARDER”, meh.

What? I explained that narrow + wide streets give the feeling of an urban battlefield. The combination of both could be attractive.
Adding fields etc. gives great room for fights such as market places and crop fields.
As I said: The drawing is just the raw example, the overall map/city should be bigger with more room but also some narrow passages.

Narrow streets = too boxy= what players raged about with the DBL.
On top of houses and such = vertical= what many players raged about with the DBL.

What players have been asking for = more open map, direct routes, less vertical, keeping players engaged in nonstop combat, not preventing it with too many obstacles.

  • Need a map where the objectives have strategic value to other objectives on the map and can be attacked from numerous directions and methods to maximize strategic options.
  • Need a map that keeps players engaged in strategic, challenging fun nonstop PvP action the majority time they are on the map. ( That is why direct routes and fewer obstacles is important,as melee classes have to be able to play just as well as ranged)
  • Need a map that focuses on how each class plays in every area and objective. How that zone enhances every play style, including all classes, and style such as roamer, havoc and zerg. ( why less boxy, less vertical is important)

Melee classes are at a disadvantage when they cannot have direct path to targets, all areas of the map should be equally playable by all classes in a PvP game mode.

Ye I wanted to explain that it shouldnt be possible to climb houses, not like it is possible at the moment in the city right now. It should be limited to one groundlevel fights.

The Map shouldnt include book-carts or obstructive stuff lying around. Planted trees, ok. But wide streets, only without the possiblity of not falling down (since no mountains like DBL) and not getting stomped from above. No vertical drop portals etc.

Since we get the Desert BL back in rotation with Alpine, I though (as were always 3 colours) to get up a third one.
So what do we got yet? Alpine and tundra. And desert with jungle. So whats missing? Well I thought of something urban!
It would have less open field, but expandable with crop fields etc. I thought of a mixture of Ebonhawke and the Urban Battleground fractal. I also have drawn a map, just edited those 2 maps a little together.
Before you take a look at the map: I wanted it to be wider, so theres more place for fights but also the experience of narrow streets. Of course houses should be not able to be entered, the possibility to climb the roofs should be limited to a minimum. I DIDNT pay attention to that in the drawing just to waste no time (just a 5min job). It could still get expanded with space and more camps. And also somehow 2 keeps can be added instead of those 2 towers on the side which can be moved somewhere else.

Explainations:
Home Spawn: Should be like a cave south of keep with entrance to the city through a tunnel (which enemies cant enter like a regular spawn). Preferably have 2-3 tunnels to prevent spawncamping (large tunnels, not like the Pangloss Camp).

The Keep:
Like a Hugeass-Tower Lordroom on Top, wide spiral staircase leading there (radius should be big enough to have many people being able to walk there). On the ground there could be sth like the lobby in Stonemist (where lord is) but being protected by a gate. The stairs then lead to the Lordroom which can be 2 stores above (where the mystic forge in SM is). I think there shouldnt be open windows since the tower would be high and being able to treb almost everything.

Camps & Tower: I think those are selfexplaining. The capture of the market should be one of the main goals to upgrade stuff, so the market should be big enough to let 3 blobs fight in there without scratching the surrounding houses.

Short: we have one huge map (DBL) a middle sized one (ABL) and why not a smaller one (Dunno about a name, Battle of the Capitol? eh, no I dont know).

Let me know what you think, it was just a wild idea.

By now, just be sure to place no siege in 1200 range infront of the gate, so no cata or ac. With that in mind you will find a good placement just range 300 more left or right or behind. You will still be able to defend like before if you just keep it in mind. Not that difficult

DBL as balancing factor is utter nonsense since they cant even pair the servers correctly.
Hes right, I voted for an overall rotation instead of simultan maps since we only got 2 different + theyre totally different to play.
If you have 3 times the same map, there wont be the decision that one map is best for karma train and the other is best for GvGs. If it goes THIS far, yes WvW is going down the spiral.

Yep, and PT even drains the energy even though it fails. Which is even more amazing due to the latest PT nerf.

to be honest, im REALLY curious how they fix sword3 with confusion:
Confusion: Damage over time + on skill use
Enchanted Daggers: life steal on hit
So, if theres a fix, I bet 10g that Enchanted Daggers will only hit once like confusion even though both are triggered by different states (should be) not like now.

Also, hunting a thief close to a wall in WvW which isnt mine, he’s in range, i cast precision strike – all 3 strikes hit the wall and not the enemy. GG.

Gift of Battle was always the thing which was so easy to obtain, I dont even see why people had to put effort in it. So why do people cry now? Seriously. Buying the gift takes as much time as getting 500 medals. Its not effort at all.

So there should be MORE walls? Did you know those are objectives? not something which you can multiply?
Why more guards? if its a 20 man blob it doesnt matter if those are 10 or 5 guards. Nonsense.
Balloons have NOTHING to do with server balance, like, at all. Its one of the best passives in wvw. If you cant get a tower because you are seen on map, you might consider another strategy. Its wvw, not pve.

yea, soon™. Yep now every class which can put traps or necros marks on the spawns. Congrats, the danger by getting ganked when leaving the safe zone got “LOWERED” by removing the safe zone and make the spawn point accessible for everyone. My brain cant handle this nonsense.

Well thanks for making the only WvW map, fastest way for duells, a map which offers you to gank even more due to the spread WPs. Its not much, but being able to watch duells at a WP at a safe spot while others do their duell was nice. Now even THIS is ruined. cmon.

Yep, another Revenant bug which isnt bug yet but might occur at other classes aswell.
Riposting Shadows IS NOT removing the roots by rangers druid trait. Well congrats for making druid more OP than it acutally is by not fixing the roots bug since ages. Even if the roots disappear 50% of the time you cant move since you are like in mid air. How does it happen? well its actived if you are launched, so mid air. What do you think happens if you get rooted mid air? yes you get bugged out so hard you can whisper them and ask to kill you since youre infight and cant go anywhere.
If I sound angry, I’m honestly not sorry. This stuff needs a fix, THEN you can go on nerfing classes like rev.

How to beat DH?

Powershiro with Hammer instead of Staff is very effective against any DH, just pop their traps with hammer3, autoattack alot and get the projectile protection hammer4 on. When you poped the traps just teleport to the DH with shiro and use sword2, sword autoattack, if hes about to lay the first trap, just dodge out with shiro switch to glint, and keep autoattacking. safe your dodges for the pull. shiro dodges should be enough first. Also using retailation does alot of damage to the DH if you traited it. its up to 2k damage when you accidently got caught in all traps. just be sure to glint heal then

x64 client still bugged

I thought with leaving the beta phase behind the constant lags vanish. But no. I had to change from 32bit to 64 to get rid of disconnects. Since the 64bit client started I get the same issue over and over again, and I’m not alone with it as you can see in the x64 thread. But it seems to get ignored.

Issue:
After 10-30 Minutes of playing the game will drop to 1 FPS for like 3-5 seconds. You also hear, if youre playing music besides, that everything crackles while this happens. Tested several cpu priorities, still same issue. This is highly annoying in WvW/PvP since you never know when it comes, but then pressing every panicbutton you got still gets you killed 50% of the time.

Ye, I’m als unsatisfied with the recent server merges. You are on a high populated server? Well, now feel free to get
- zerged down by 4 servers at once on every kitten map even more than before
- ganked way more often than before since you cant see which guild (pug guilds, not the known ones) is on which server, so no loss of reputation
- constant lagspikes even with a highend PC
You are on a low populated server because you had a friend there, the server name was nice, or you transfered because of constant zerging and lagging to a more roaming server?
Well, now feel free to get
- zerged down by 4 servers at once on every kitten map
The server rankings werent much representive for skill, it was mass only. So people who transfered to their prefered server/mass of players they can handle, now suffer like hell.
Servers werent like families, but like friends which you could choose.
But back to the numbers: The actual differences between low pop servers and high pops arent THAT big, so now let a very high pop server fight 2 high pop servers + 2 low pop servers is just unequal like, gosh, I cant find words.
I thought the merge would be so EVERY server gets a partner, not that the very high pop servers get left out like “well you got a player base already, lets see how you handle to fight 4 other servers with 2 teams”. But like this, well unbalanced. I still dont know how the populations are made, like overall pop? Or pure core WvW-player pop? THATS A HUGE DIFFERENCE.
Yes, you can see it makes me mad. Like every day since merge. I tried different servers, looked for one where duelling is mostly accepted, the commanders prefer fights over PPT but still have the mass to do huge zergVSzergs. Found it, but now. Meh.

Everything still bugged as hell. And now Anet takes away the only skill which helps to sustain those 90% thief roamers in WvW. Well congrats. #thiefmeta
I really thought there might be something for Rev, not like all the other nerfs. But hey, lets get more. Lets nerf the only viable stance next to Glint. People dont play Jalis/Mallyx enough? Lets not push them, lets simply kitten up the others! Oh there was another stance … eh… uhm. Was named after some horses, Van…Vun…Ventari! Meh forget about it.
Seems like I have to enjoy getting steamrolled by 10 day old thieves which just kill you easily. And if I win, there will always be a condi scrub somewhere. The fights have sunken deep.

As the topic says, blasting a combofield only grants its effect in 360 range like retalation. If you blast the combofield with Phase Smash on a range higher than 360 you dont get the buff yourself. So you get handled like you dont teleport (like Drop The Hammer), but you get interrupted by static fields, lines etc. when using Phase Smash.
So either remove that you can get interrupted, or add the selfblast.

Well, running zerker in WvW isnt a bug, no armor, low health, dead fast. A zerker revenant can onehit you easily while this isnt overpowered etc.
Crit every second? Seriously? Thats some strong irony here. Lets remove crits, its the only way! …
Revenants have traits increasing the damage rapidly. You should be able to handle this in wvw. I run Backline Rev aswell and dont hit above 10k IF I even hit (CoR slowpoke and obvious in 1on1). And Phase Smash is even more obvious, seriously. You have more then a second to react.
So before you consider this a “bug”, duell more revs and look at the skill animations to react properly.
