The buffs are mostly condition PvE oriented (yes, that spec that Is Nerfing Time calls “fine”). I think that roaming/PvP condi Rev is still crap because still lacks stability, condition cleanses and any sort of condition pressure at range.

next expac Revenant gets bow with ranged condi. Already leaked.

Class A: Gets a needed nerf, PvP only
Class A: Gets a buff to compensate the nerf. NOT PVP ONLY

Class B: Repeat.

Like what the actual hedge? What do you think we do in WvW? (except for german servers)? PvE? No, its mass PvP. Thanks for making it worse every. kitten . time.

Wouldn’t that be even one sided then? You have to get some1 into downed state….AND finish them to get to get 5 stacks currently.

IF all I have to do is rez them…

wtf, thats the same amount of time? Both, the ress and the stomp can get interrupted. So wheres the problem? Just add in a cooldown for ressing the same player in 5min and youre fine.

Stop making this a state affair. I just wanted a way for pure support builds to get stacks. Yes stacks, nothing else. No legendaries, no precursors. Stacks. Gosh.

Why did you make 200 ingots? Does that suggest to you that it’s so trivial to earn stacks of dragonite that no one “needs” a demotion recipe?

I’m not against it, I just don’t think it’s needed for the game.

I made them since the Bloodstone Ingots are demoteable and thought it would be added soon. The Dragonite Ores were filling up my bank. Instead of being so contraproductive, you could atleast bring a reasonable argument to not implement this.

T1: Blob 50% of daytime. If opponent blob looses too much, they give up for the rest of the MU. Alot of big community PvX guilds for the mass.

T2: Pretty much the same, the amount of condi roamers is rising. Less Blobfights. More PPT.

T3: Few servers who prefer fights, most just PPT farming and running from every single fight (looks at Drakkar Lake). Capping a T1 tower now has a higher priority than fighting Blob versus Blob (Blobs 50% daytime). Condi roamers now roam in groups of 5-15 people.

T4 and lower: No personal experience.

Since you can demote Bloodstone Ingots to Bloodstone Dust, why cant you add the same for Dragonite Ore/Ingots. I got 200 Ingots in my bank, but cant demote it (like Bloodstone) to use it for the new nourishments added with last episode.

In the kill-case its MUCH faster and easier, and you kinda explained my point yourself: people had to come and go each time to get ONE up. So which one is easier to achieve you think? Pulling out an AoE, regardless of OOC or not, or going OOC each time to get a corpse by 20% HP up? C’mon.

I can appreciate you turning the chessboard around on me, but this is flawed logic based on the fact that winning a game is supposed to reward winners and punish losers. Its not supposed to punish winners and reward losers.

Lets look at this:
First, lets counter ur argument with the loopholes we see in it alrdy:
- 10 players ganking a single player for 5 stacks each. What is the problem with this statement? Assuming reasonably balanced matchups: You do not WIN by fighting everyone with a 10:1 ratio. Infact you are losing if you commit 10 persons to gank a single player. That is a waste of resources and it reflects very poorly on your ppt (you get a single ppk entry for that kill, rather than 10x). So in reality we are giving a consolation prize to the losers by giving 5 stacks to each of them (assuming they r spec’d that way)

Let’s look at that thief I described: People had to come and go to rez the single dead thief I described? They literally spent 6 seconds total (and that’s not an understatement) to walk to the body, rez it, and then be back where they were before he died. So I wasted 6×10 = 60 seconds of the enemy’s time assuming there were 10 of them. Is 60 seconds equal to the time it takes for the enemy to port and walk back from their keep to veloka? Seems a fair assumption as long as they aren’t using 100% movespeed. So I’ll give you a win on that one. HOWEVER, his combat ability is provided to the group immediately after 6 seconds rather than 60 seconds. THAT is the start of a brilliant counter point should anyone ‘need’ to provide one….

I don’t fully understand what components you are referencing specifically when you say this, thus there are many ways to interpret this. Are you saying that putting an aoe would prevent rezzing? I don’t have any that can be placed at that range in that situation….and they can be dodge countered, infact I didn’t have any at all that can be placed trap based since its class specific; and I think that is unfair to assume everyone has aoe they can place at range like that from a wall to secure a kill they made.
Next, Going ooc to get a corpse to 20% is a large investement of the enemy’s time, and therefore justifies the present situation? I don’t think that is apt either. Like I said the charr woulda had him up in under 10 seconds total if I didn’t damage and threaten to damage him to the point where he got off. This isn’t like downed state…..you can’t damage a partially revived dead body.

I mean…you “cmon”…you are being very 1-sided in your analysis. You get maybe 1 hit in with that argument, whereas I get in at least 3 if not more. My argument wins unfortunately.

I kill a TON more than I die, and I do it mostly solo. So I am biased in wanting the “killing” part to be more substantial in its impact, and/or possibly easier to perform. Perhaps you are from the opposite camp? Regardless, I admit to being a biased source, but my logic remains stronger than yours….but that’s only because there are meant to be winners/losers in this game based on correct/incorrect action, so its really the game’s fault our arguments aren’t equal (if that makes you feel better).

I think you confused it as Reward by being a rallybot, i mean, the person WHO IS RESSING the downed ally should get the 5stacks, Not the rallybot. There could be a restriction to 5 stacks only if you ressed a downed ally NOT DEAD one* otherwise a whole blob gets 5 stacks after a fight if they clean up the ground.

Not everyone is a lonely roamer. Some actually prefer the blob fights. And being a support build doesnt really pay off.

Ya…its not. It does require them to actually pve farm for it though to some extent….so take some solace in that fact?

The stone: 1 crystaline dust, 20 bloodstone, 1 fire orchid blossom = 30 min active
The oil: 1 crystaline dust, 20 empereal frags, 1 fire orchid blossom = 30 mins active
the crystals: gonna assume its same but dragonite

You have to make them in groups of 5 tho. and the recipe is…30k karma I think? something like that.

In other words its dirt cheap compared to the other ones (furious stones/oil/crystal)…assuming dust is 20s its pretty much ….20s per utility since those other 2 items are so plentiful atm and have no real value (even if u convert them to ascended items/magic or use them in feeders like mawdrey). crsyt Dust is pretty plentiful as you play wvsw as well….so its actually self sustaining if you think about it.

You can get 50 petals through WvW reward track.

The opening and closing of servers is terrible. GvG Guilds will mitigate on one server and will then farm those who just go PvE and casually WvW.

The only option is to STOP the linking, and double the server transfer costs.

When the Dolyaks have the speedup boost by tactics in Danelon Mine, the Guards wont guard the Dolyaks which are running to Stonemist. They wont appear, and IF they appear once, they will stop walking at the gate towards QL. And yes the camp is T3 and should have guards.

- Precision Strike and Unrelenting Assault have their target priorities set up, first priority: envoirment animals, second priority: WvW Walls, third priority: invisible gate-ballistas (tactivators), fourth priority: med kit hanging on sentry poles, fifth priority: Ranger pets, Mesmer clones, Necro pets. Sixth priority: There was something, but we forgot!

- Phase Traversal costs 50 energy to activate, but now acts as shadow step and will no longer be interrupted by Lighting Field or similar.

- Inspiring Reinforcement now doesnt grant Stability anymore since we decided that no Player got the buff anyway. The field still works as light field but now grants Vigor each 3 seconds. You probably will experience the same problem as before.

- The by Facet of Darkness triggered Gaze of Darkness will now only reveal enemies which you have in target (giggity)

Want to find thread that nerfs downed state…..

We were defending veloka last night on CD/Ehrmy/IOJ against an sbi horde. I get a guard kill and almost immediately there’s 1 guy who jumps on him to rez the dead body. Within 2-4 seconds the body is already 45% rez’d, at which point I fire on him and have to KEEEP firing to get the charrr Off the rezing….he finally gets off. Then a ranger jumps in to rez…and i thankfully mange to knock a hit on him and get him in combat (I’m firing from the wall for all of this into the corner area that he died in). The first guy, the charr, is back however, havin had gotten ooc at that point and jumped back on…. I had to man the AC and fire it JUST on a dead body to keep 2-3 guys from rezing him. And then I had to spam the dead body with ac fire to make sure they got incombat before getting close enough to start rezing. Keep in mind theres a large group and ALOt of alive targets to aim the ac at….yet here I am aiming a 50 supply 10silver ac on a dead body I killed, just to keep it dead.

Then in that same siege I kill a thief in the middle of a bunch of em…..WE have aoe and siege fire on the dead body and they just rushed in and bunch on him and instant rezed him in the course of 2-4 seconds. I had to wonder what was even the point in attacking them at all……if we played from JUST a siege perspective they still win due to larger numbers and supply and resources. We lost all our towers and that was that.

Primary problem is OOC abuse. Secondary problem is the healing of dead bodies.
The idea that those 5-15 players who rezed that thief I killed….the idea they all got 5 stacks from such a thing….that just adds insult to injury. I would literally be buffing their entire horde by landing a kill……does that sound right to you? It sounds right based on how this game plays tho……so your idea is gold. Lets do it!

World Linking 4/28/2017 EU discussion

Anet should stop playing with world linking.
Just merge them permanently and adjust matchups like that.

I got bored with queues so i switched lower wvw pop server.
Now my world linked with one of the highest. So i am waiting again.

Result=Wasted gems and great frustration.

Let players decide where to play.

Thats the biggest issue. Some people cant handle the lag, they go low pop servers. Now? Well gz: lags and queues with 3 digits at prime time.
The system before was nice, low pop servers at lower ranks and other way round, pick what suits you best. Now you can have nice fair fights one week, and next several weeks getting steamroled since some high pop servers got a smaller server linked which has, by total coincidence, alot of transfers recently, so its a high pop server and NOW a mid pop server. Balancing? whats that.

I think a good solution would be to make refreshing siege count towards maintaining participation. Not gaining participation, but simply maintaining it. That way I can scout and not worry about my participation rate hitting rock bottom.

Not if you run banner ress warrior. Ressing sigil is just to stupid. You have to rely on others to be bad in order to stack it, it’s is just silly.

Then let only manual resses count! Its not silly, if people want stacks without killing a player, there are plenty of NPCs around. But people cry when you get stacks through ressing? Ressing doesnt reward you in ANY way.

Try Shiro + Glint with staff and cleansing sigils on staff and the other weapon you prefer. With the condi cleanse on invoking you can ignore most of it and cleanse some stuff. Well ofc its still incredible hard to win against condi kiddos, but sometimes youll win.

Btw: this is why Im suggestion a 3 legend change, see my other thread for that.

*One thing I dislike about revenant is the hammer. Hammer has 1200 range and does a lot of damage specially CoR. You can run revenant with like 2.8k armor and still do crazy damage because of skills are set up that way and the traits provide so much extra dps especially the one that doubles your fury from 20% to 40%.. thats broken. Hammer auto range is fine at 1200, CoR range needs to be 900, phase smash needs to be 900 and drop the hammer needs to be 900. Also the staff 5 surge of the mists needs a procing time, currently the skill goes off instantly, there needs to be 1/4-3/4 seconds for the skill to proc. I know revenants got dps nerf in PvP which was good that is also needed in WvW.

Why do people still cry about hammer rev? It got nerfed like hell, autohitting a blob isnt more helpful than any ranger (so its not). CoR is MORE than obvious. Try playing hammer backline, and feel how squishy you are even with 3k armor.

The tablet seriously needs a ground indicator. Green/blue for a tablet from your server, and (in WvW its quite relevant) red indicator for an opponents tablet. The ground indicator should be at a 240 radius just like the most skills.

I’ve had similar ideas about Rev. What I would do for rev from a class design standpoint is the following:

  • Remove energy cost on all weapon skills. It doesn’t make sense to have your weapon skills be gated behind 2 cooldown mechanics, 1 individual to each skill and 1 global mechanic that is shared by all of your skills. To compensate, when swapping legends you probably will only get refilled to 30 energy (maybe, this number would need to be balanced ofc).
  • Give Rev access to 3 legends at a time instead of 2 (again, this factors into an appropriate number for how much energy you start with when you swap legends)
  • Give Revs only 1 weapon.
  • Have weapon skills be customized depending on your legend, the same way that Ele weapon skills are different based on what attunement you are in. This makes Rev similar to Ele, but since Rev will also be able to swap their utility skills, as well as have the energy cost for utility skills, they would still be fairly unique.

All of this would make playing rev substantially more enjoyable to me, but right now the class is just a chore and I was glad when I maxed herald and could stop playing it completely.

The weapon energy removal sounds good since we got high CDs anyway already. If then utilities get adjusted and theres no reset on invoking we need traits/weapon skills producing energy. But it sounds WAY more variable and interesting and WAY less boring in comparison to Revenants situation right now.

I think doing something like that would be too complicated. Just removing energy cost from weapons (seriously, it doesn’t make sense for a single class in GW2 to have 2 cooldown mechanics on its weapon skills) and then re-balancing both the energy cost of utility skills and the energy recharge rate should be enough. Then maybe a new trait or two that give you some energy when you land a critical hit, or when you achieve some other condition, to help you maintain higher energy levels and use your utility skills more often

exactly. Look how Warrior gains its energy, tons of traits involving in adding it on a special trigger. Now check Revenant. The only traits here are “if more than 50, if less”-blabla. Nothing is producing it.

Like others have mentioned in this thread, we don’t think this would be a healthy feature for WvW. Many players will not participate in WvW if they don’t see a commander tag, and we try to avoid adding features that can be used to exclude players.

there are closed tags already. The closed raid just tells people to stay away while people who still come (because they dont understand and dont read the chat) get insulted in every possible way to make clear they dont add the closed raid. So a private tag IS the better choice, no need to insult people anymore.

I dont know from which game I got this from, but :
Reducing fall damage by like 20% if you press “v” while falling until you hit the ground could be a nice thing to be a bit more dynamic. So when pressing the dodge button and having enough energy while falling it results in an automatic dodge. Couldnt this be a thing?

I guess you missed the part where eles only use 2 attunements for dps, and only 1 when healing. Sure, there is situational use for attunements that aren’t part of your rotation, but that is hardly what defines the class or what makes it viable.

Yes, 2 make them viable, 1 is supportive while the last is “useless”. Ok. But you STILL have the opportunity to switch to the other 2. Revenant has 2 only, which makes the class extremly clunky since you cant switch to a third if the situation demands it.

I’ve only seen this in WvW and its pretty annoying:

You die, you move the minimap with the left mouse button to click your waypoint, but when releasing the left mousekey, it centers at the character again. Youre not able to WP through minimap like 30% of the time due to this. Yes you could just press “M” for the whole map, but still the random movement to the character when being dead is just annoying, doesnt let you use the minimap at all when dead.

Nice safe at the recent link! Yes happens alot. Also you can pull up enemies from SM south inner gate to the inside even when the gate is up. Just stand at the edge of the round platform and have your target below you. Ported one dude up by accident and he got killed at my position. Bet I gave him some WTF-moment.

I guess its a feature.
