You haven’t try everything. None of us have. Maybe in spvp but in wvw there are many very good viable builds that with the help of the individual player skill they become even more powerful including condition builds for ele.

Even if I would have missed 100 votes, ranger and ele are currently first and second.

First and second is putting it mildly. They make up more votes than all the other professions combined.

I wonder if they’ll take count of the respective player base. As now, apart from thieves, guardians and warriors, all the others are exactly in their respective order according to the profession breakdown in the first year infographic.

Since it’s been revitalized, and is currently being cleared (in story – we don’t see this in areas yet, as those are historically placed before and during the invasion), the best choice would likely be the city of Arah.

Alternatively you could probably evacuate everyone to Hall of Monuments.

Arah would be awesome. But I doubt Anet would do it

I understand the need for a tax for Listing an item and the tax for the actual sell. I do not want to remove these as I see them as necessary.

When you are selling to highest buy order, you the seller have to come up with a listing fee and you do not list the item at all.

I think you don’t understand how the TP works. When a player fills a Buy Order, he “lists” it at that price, and the order is filled FIFO. It’s not a matter of selling it directly to the other player. All transactions MUST go through the TP, so anything that gets sold first has to be “listed”.

That’s the price you pay for using Evon’s services. You do have the option of doing “Gentlemen Agreements”, where you and the other player agree to a price, and trade directly via the in game mail system. Keep in mind that if you get scammed this way, Anet will not help you get your money back.

Why should the fees be placed on the back end? If you don’t have the money to pay the LISTING FEE, then you can’t sell the item.

Calm down. He knows exactly how it works right now. He suggested a change to filling buy orders only, where there is always a transaction. Next time if you do not understand a suggestion, just ask someone to explain it to you.

Yeah most of us who answer didn’t get the initial question being asked. However, it’s a moot point, since that suggestion is a bad one. I’m not sure of any service providing business (in game or in real life) that allows people to pay after-the-fact. You pay up front to use the TP services that’s safe and secure, or you use other less secure means to do your transactions. The options are there.

His suggestion does not work due to what tolunart and insanemaniac said.

If you think warriors swapping to double endure pain double balanced stance to banner is bad, just wait til you see an ele using renewal of water while in obsidian flesh. Way lower cooldown than banner, heals it to full (dat overgrowth lord) and there’s absolutely nothing anybody can do about it.

People want money or mats so they put in time to farm. The only inequity I see is people wanting things without any effort.

It encourages them to try to estimate a “fair” price to sell the item at rather than tossing some value up there.

So he wants the fee turned into a tax when selling directly. Based on the pace that they added new features to the gem store, you will have to wait a long time until this is implemented.

Warrior true weakness

Thief sustained is higher.

Bull. Thiefs are pretty low on the sustain once Hide in Shadows is used. They have to back off if their opponent isn’t low.

Thief avoidance is higher.

About even, actually. Thieves may have more Evades, but Warriors match that with (significantly longer) blocks and invulnerabilities.

We know that the Thief’s DPS is second highest in the game right behind an Ele. So yes, their sustained is much higher than a Warrior.

Thieves have stealth. In any given fight you’re in stealth for much more than the 3 seconds a Warrior has endure pain up.

Elementalists only have great DPS against giant targets that stand still, i.e PvE bosses.

If you’re not a necro then add http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Plague_Signet and http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Consume_Conditions as a counter as well.

In larger groups (WvW) conditions are cleansed so frequently and often that they aren’t very viable at all.

The only condition I can think of that needs tweaking is immobilize which never should have stacked in the first place. At most the highest duration one applied should take priority.

Dark path is the slowest projectile in the game so it misses most of the time.

If only eles had more burst damage and 10 more skills.

The cost for having 10 more skills is every cooldown is doubled, damage is nerfed, and all base survivability is removed. You still want them?

Steal is a thief’s F1 class mechanic – If you’re going to complain how powerful it is, go ahead and compare it to attunements, burst skills, shatter, etc etc etc.

Attunements suck. If Steal was like the ele mechanic, it would have a 5 minute cooldown.

Neither do I. Arcana and attunements are just so badly done, and most of the traits suck. There is also the 40 year long cooldowns, even for the utility skills (which should be equal to other classes, but are not).

Just wanted to point out, why not try out WvW a little and see how ridiculously powerful Ele’s are? If all you do is sPvP, then you have not seen how Ele’s scale with ascended gear and rank bonuses.

The burning speed evade is going to be a huge “WTF????” in WvW. Because it’s one of the main burst rotations used. Obviously the Dev team doesn’t WvW much…….

Staff eles are strong in WvW, when they are with the zerg. Dagger eles are still mediocre roamers.

What? If they announce it now people will buy them up and hoard them. If you pay attention to the TP their are already people hoarding runes and sigils they think will be going up in price. I know I have some The TP is safe right now as the price has started to go down after the stream many runes shot up in price. A preview will blow it up again. I think they will do a blog post like they did with MF at least that what it sound like they said was coming.

Ride the Lightning should have a dual functionality:

- If you have something targeted, you teleport to them, do damage, and incur a 15 second cooldown.
- If you have nothing targeted, you do the current RTL, and incur a 30 second cooldown.

Why would you ever say that? You don’t want to see offensive abilities evaded by clutch dodges, blocks or positioning?

Besides, it’s very possible to strike a moving target with a 1-second delayed 120 radius AoE (since that’s probably everyone’s primary worry). It just takes practice. Changes like these would promote a higher skill cap for the Elementalist, and, no, pressing a lot of buttons very quickly doesn’t necessarily denote a high level of skill.

Even so, maybe lowering it to a 3/4-second delay would be best. I wonder if that’s possible.

There is already too much dodging in this game, and half the abilities you altered can just be walked out of, yet require a target.

Also, there are these things called lag, and Anet’s horrible rubberbanding code.

Elementalist:
Our changes for the elementalist focus on increasing sustain while maintaining the delicate balance between damage and durability. We achieved this by adding more defensive effects to a few main-hand weapon sets.

  • Signet of Restoration: Removed the split on this skill so that the signet passive heal amount will be increased in PvP to match the current PvE amount.
  • Armor of Earth: Reduced recharge from 90 seconds to 75 seconds.
  • Water Trident: Added 3 seconds of regeneration to up to 5 allies in the radius.
  • Burning Speed: This ability now evades attacks.
  • Frozen Burst: This ability is now a blast finisher.

I have no idea what you are talking about when you say ‘maintaining the delicate balance between damage and durability.’ There is absolutely no balance…elementalists are forced to trait all defensive because you failed to ‘maintain’ this.

I’m not sure what the terror of this update is…? There are zero nerfs to the class, everything is a buff (Hello Restoration unnerfing). Do you want us to end up Dhuumfiring elementalists too?

The sigil/runes changes are going to probably do enough unexpected damage as it is…

Yes, they are buffs. But they do virtually nothing to address the crippling problems the Elementalist has, i.e poorly implemented class mechanic, total lack of defense/survivability without MASSIVE investment (pigeonholed profession), and huge cooldowns.

The profession is just a mess.
