Variable ratio gambling. The king of all gambling addictions.
He means that on the strongest weapon eles have, Fireball is the strongest auto-attack. Not that it is the strongest auto-attack we have.
Ridiculous. How many people do you employ? What exactly are they doing?
You just killed some PvE specs, and the only viable PvP ele spec.
You should instead focus on the other 2 Grandmaster traits, which are horrendous.
Anet cannot make it so you do not get teamed with people on your block list. That is WAY too easily abused.
They can’t let you block players from appearing on the other team (although it should block any mapchat they make from appearing to you), but block SHOULD prevent these people from joining your team. It currently does not. This needs to change.
Absolutely not. Then people would fill their block lists with noob players and warriors. This is not a hard concept to grasp.
Losing.
And people would just block all the noobs and warriors.
The second one. It does not reset.
It is a big problem in stronghold. Of course stronghold is not balanced…
Nope. Wait for Anet to release some content.
People want to complain about them, but they got CCed
Obsidian Flesh is actually only 33.5 seconds with the Earth trait. And yes, that is way too short.
While I teeter on this issue. I actually don’t like invuln stomping, I think it’s a cheap tool not everyone has access to, but nevertheless, it can be argued with cooldowns and what-not.
Obsidian Flesh though is absolutely insane. It blows most other damage mitigation skills out of the water and allows full damage while being unable to CC/Blind/etc, on a cooldown that’s close to half of other less effective tools.
My little rant for the day, that skill is a bit crazy.
They could change it, then bump eles up to 15k base hp.
So you either need Cleansing water to help you hold against condi necros or you run aurashare but then don’t really hold against them solo?
Pretty much.
Pull the handle…
Gold.
And if it can change, how so?
Can MMR change during a season?
If you are facing 3 Necros you need to push all 3 points, gang up on their allies on the weak point then just snowball them . Necros are slow, so if you push all 3 points you can easily set up a scenario where the opposing team is outnumbered. This equates to a loss.
Stacked necros are weak to rotation. They move too slow.
They are not that slow. Tempests are slower.
You realize that you can block all the bad players to get matched only with decent ones? It’s abusable.
This. Everyone would just block all the warriors.
Druids seem to get me stuck the most.
This just happened to us. A noob on our team quit out of GW2 as the match start was counting down, because he did not want Stronghold (he obviously does not know how to untick it…). We went on to win the game, but got no pip.
NA Sea of Sorrows.
The point is they are going to run out. Hell, even the PvP Legendary backpiece uses them.
I went through nearly 2 stacks making Nevermore.
What Rising Dusk means is, when you swap to a weapon with this sigil, you gain a buff that last 7 seconds. Any boon you apply during this 7 second window lasts 33% longer. It is determined at the time of boon application, and does not dynamically update, so the boons keep the increased duration if applied during the 7 second window.
You need about 481 mystic coins for the new legendary weapons.
That only shows a required 250 Mystic Coins (answers my question about which legendary, I haven’t looked into the new ones since I’m still working on an old legendary). The remaining ones can be bypassed with the monthly log in reward.
9.25-12.5 months depending on how many times you do the Mystic Forger daily is not that long to wait for enough Mystic Coins. And again, assuming a player has none when they decide to start making the legendary.
Look further at the 77 mystic clovers that are also needed.
Yea, and you can also get 7 Mystic Clovers from the Legendary Chest you get on Log in Day #28. So 11 of those chests later, and you’ve got your 77 Mystic Clovers without touching your supply of Mystic Coins.
At the cost of 20 laurels or a vision crystal and 1-2 ascended mats. So very expensive.
The 2nd big run on standing supply that spiked the price came with the Wintersday 2015 patch. Not sure why but supply went from 176K to 20K in a day.
Probably due to the fact that people buy some of this stuff (mystic coins for this prime example) without realizing how much time/resources are needed to get said item. I have done the same thing before with a couple of different items. Including those items from Season 1 of Living World that were in limited supply (thanks to it being temporary content). For instance the Spinal Blade Pack Cores I still have 10 each type, because I never got around at getting high enough ascended crafting (at the time). Look how expensive those things are now.
It happened because Winter’s Presence requires 150 Mystic coins.
Also I made this exact same thread when Wintersday hit, which further caused the supply to tank.
I have noticed two different types of bugs:
One where you cannot move after dodging, which you can counter by dodging again;
One where you are hit by an attack, and are now completely rooted to the spot unless you have a movement skill, or get knocked back again.
The first bug happens constantly, while the second one seems to happen mainly in PvP. Druids in particular cause the second one, as it just happened to me 3 times in a row in a match against 3 druids.
Another thing to consider is that the majority of builds have their own source of swiftness/movement enhancement runes/traits.
I can’t think of a single build that doesn’t.
Tempest is very slow. Overload is the only speed boost.
Elementalists should do the top dps, seeing as they are made of paper.
I always have too many mystic coins, but then again I got 30 accounts to loot them from.
What the…
So nerf revenant then.
So why was Mesmer nerfed right out of the game, while the Revenant is allowed to dominate still? HoT poster child?
Chrono bunker is the biggest cancer to ever exist in this game. It literally caused tons of players to quit.
The resulting nerf was a no-brainer that I, a mesmer main, fully supported.
And what did they leave Mesmers with?
So why was Mesmer nerfed right out of the game, while the Revenant is allowed to dominate still? HoT poster child?
I think bunker/support ele does so well because it covers one glaring weakness ele has (low hp, low armor) while providing valuable support to its team through healing and auras. A glass ele is too much of a liability in pro league. I get that some eles might want more variety in their choices, but right now we got at least 3 classes that aren’t being played in pro league (warrior, guard, thf) that need attention, and one class that is being stacked (revs).
Revs got stacked for two reasons.
1. They scale well with bunker eles
2. They were used during the last meta, therefore required less time to practice.
One reason:
1. They are overpowered.
It is the exact same build, just with an even tankier amulet. So eles are just support bots, with no other option. Yay?
Also ESL teams have to bring 4 different professions, to stop revenant stacking.
If there were no profession restrictions, what would the teams have looked like?
Was there a no profession stacking rule?
Needed to have 4 different professions. They should have made it 5.
Then all we can really tell is that Revenants are OP, and the professions that missed out suck in the meta.

Was there a no profession stacking rule?
Probably related to the bug where you are rooted in place after you dodge.
Did not even know there was a cap, but I am glad it exists.
Is there a way to track how far along I am?
In the hero panel, hover with your mouse over the AP number in the top left and you will get a popup with the AP split into 3 categories: daily, monthly and permanent. Add the daily and monthly and that’s where you are in regards to the 15k cap.
Cheers lover.
His statement I quoted is correct.
That s how economics work since 5000 years.
The Empire State Building : 1930 -> 41 M. $, 2016 u would need 636 M. $ to build it today.
And the legendarys are the only real high Goldsink for ANET since the start of the game.
1 gold in game = 1g in game
If you haven’t noticed the problem with what your stating…you basing the dollar value which has long been weighted against the worth of gold to something that has no defined weight or value.
Hence your analogy is bunk.
The dollar hasn’t been based on the gold standard for almost a century.
Not gold, it’s oil now.
No it’s not.
Yeah, tell me more about the Petrodollar
Oil is tied to the dollar, not the other way around. If the dollar strengthens, oil drops. However, if oil drops it doesn’t strengthen a weak dollar except in the most tangential way.
If countries start buying and selling oil with other currencies, the Dollar will grow weak, demand for dollars will drop
That isn’t an accurate statement.
Yeah it is.
Did not even know there was a cap, but I am glad it exists.

Our full tier 4 map just got booted, instead of the Octovine event starting. Cheers Anet…
So the exact same build as last season is the new meta build??

all aoe all with one skill on a 25s cd.Wow please buff ranger. Armor of earth can gives stab, that is what is important with that skill and why it warrants a large cooldown. Don’t compare traited vs untraited versions of two different skills cherry picked for whatever point you are trying to prove. Ele carries some broken utility skills that only search and rescue can hope to match in value to a team.
Not only did you take traits from 4 different trees, but you even took 2 Grandmaster traits from water. Nice work, champ.
Kinda sorta right. I did pick four traits to list all the options but have clarified that in the original post. Secondly soldier runes prevent you from needing two water gm traits.
Soldier runes remove a condition on a SHOUT, not an aura.

Move adventure mastery points to normal ap
in Guild Wars 2: Heart of Thorns

They should have been placed in the HoT story, proper achievements and through the new zones. The adventures have nothing to do with anything, yet are 30, THIRTY, mastery points.
And only 10 of them are required to max mastery points. Some adventures are rather difficult but others are insanely easy getting those 10 points is really not hard at all.
And when they release new masteries? And that still does not excuse putting 30 points into these mini-games.
If you do not want to use a mouse, then just play a Scrapper or Reaper.
The OP must be a reaper…
Reaper beats far more than that.
