So people are now complaining to anet why they cant afford a luxury item.
Why not complain to your government why you can’t afford to buy a helicopter?
When it comes to “Entitlement”, anything can turn into a legitimate complaint.
You need to learn what entitlement actually means. Also comparing a game to the real world is absolutely ridiculous.
Legendaries are not endgame. Exotic with a progessive upgrade to Ascended is endgame. Obtaining Fractal PR 50 is endgame. Legendaries? That’s the “I’m so kittening bored now that I have everything I have to waste my money on SOMETHING” content.
You really need to stop seeing everything outside of what you do as wrong…
Did I say getting a Legendary was wrong? Did I say wanting to get a Legendary was wrong? Did I say anything was wrong? No, I havent. Another way to put what I said is that Ascended gear, being top Tier equipment, is an endgame goalpost. Legendary weapons, being as involved as they are, are beyond being an endgame goalpost.
Take Twilight for example:
~500 Globs of Ectoplasm: 194g
250 Powerful Venom Sacs: 99g
250 Powerful Blood: 125g
250 elaborate totem: 98g
250 crystalline dust: 50g
250 vicious fangs: 102g
250 vicious claws: 115g
250 armored scales: 125g
250 ancient bones: 105gAnd that’s just for the Gift of Fortune, at roughly 1k gold. For a full set of Ascended gear, You can spend as little as 1/2 or 1/4th of that amount if you buy most of the materials.
You are wrong about the legendary not being end-game.
You also earlier called out someone based entirely on what you alone do.
It seems that if it you do not personally feel or experience something, it must be wrong…

He said ele is about escaping and mobility…? Does he think every ele is dagger/dagger with full cantrips?
I would argue that they just need to remove the need to actually craft ascended and allow them to be gotten in PvP dungeon quests where you get tickets to get whatever piece you want and drop frequently (again ticket based to get stats you want) far more regularly in WvW.
Crafting should be quite optional OR ascended gear should be salable at quite reasonable prices.
Ideally, both.
Well, Ascended gear is already optional.. so…….
considering he is making those claims, do you really think he cares about the truth? Logic isn’t going to work on him, you might as well leave him to his own devices.
He is just asking for better options in acquiring the gear, no need to jump all over him. Especially seeing as he is correct.
They need to upgrade the amount of cloth drops in game. Thank God I went and farmed linen right before the Mega Server hit. The Mega Server ruined any chance of farming events for cloth mats. Which was a large supply chain of them that’s now been removed from the game.
I am curious about the story behind your signature. Jed?
The greatest joy for an SoS player, is the killing of Maguuma. Not any WvW reward.
If you don’t want to wait, you can delete all your shards now to make space. Otherwise, just keep an eye out for patch notes.
Lol?
Also, take a look at the approximate armor/health ratios on APeX members:
Morfeus – 2400 armor on Guardian
Hman – 2500 armor on Warrior
Chubbs Z – 2500 armor, 13800 hp on Elementalist
Anas Tarcis – 3000 armor, 26000 hp on Warrior
Nnight – 2400 armor on RangerOne legitimate bunker in Tarcis, two supports, two damage.
But yeah, 5 bunkers.. right. It’s like getting into a LoL tourney and whining about how teams that don’t play 5 AD carries are boring to watch. It’s ridiculous.
Where can I see the specs and gear?
Sadly its really amusing how just a few tournaments ago Staff ele was looked down on and with the new patch, Eles support gained a 10% buff to heals, and “now its over powered” because of the Monk runes. But some really don’t understand that the monk runes are actually worse in terms of survival since Dwyana is better. A Staff ele is not a tank build with 1,659 toughness and 13,805 HP.
If you are going to sit there and talk about my staff ele build, Get it straight first. The build is SUSTAIN, not tank. As for the people who don’t agree get a team together, run the same comp as APeX, We’ll see you in team queue to show that it isn’t the comp that makes the player, its’ the skills of them.
Could you please share your build? :P
Would have to make it so only the person who put the siege down can dismantle it.
SoS will always kill Maguuma, though. Even if letting Maguuma win gave us first, we would still kill Maguuma.
Then why does it pull out runes and sigils?
Also, why do you constantly say ‘you people’ and ‘you’, instead of we. Do you not play the game?
Upgrade extractors are priced fine because they are not intended for runes and sigils in the first place. They are intended for infusions. Which, incidentally, can rise to two to twenty times the price of the extractor.
Players used transmutation as an unintended side-effect of the purely cosmetic intention of the system to get around the inability to salvage that gear. With the Wardrobe system, your access to an unintended function (aka exploit) was closed off, and that was likely a motivating factor in Anet’s decision to make the wardrobe as it is now.
Superior runes and sigils are in high supply because there are a lot items being salvaged and the runes sold. Additionally, it’s because a lot of runes and sigils can be cheaply crafted by the crafts. It’s also furthered by a lot of sigils and runes being completely useless due to player demands and preferences.
Your first two paragraphs are baseless assumptions.
It wouldn’t make a difference if you increase the chance to proc unless you change the cooldown.
That is not true at all. It would make a very large difference. The higher the chance, the more reliable it will be, with a 100% chance meaning it will proc right when it comes off cooldown.
And that reliability doesn’t make a huge difference at all in the grand scheme of things. If it doesn’t proc on the first attack it isn’t a big deal. It’ll probably proc on the 2nd or 3rd attack. This is from my experiences with the sigil. Making it 100% chance on hit doesn’t really make the sigil that much more attractive because again, the cooldown is the limiting factor and the chill duration to a lesser degree. However, increasing the the duration of the chill can potentially make the sigil imbalanced. Which is why I think lowering the cooldown to maybe around 8 seconds will make it more attractive yet balanced.
And if you take into account attacks that use multiple hits, i.e Dual shot from warrior longbow, grenades from engi or really fast attacks like the shortbow auto, it’ll proc really quickly regardless.
As a side note: I’m not the greatest at math, but unless you are really unlucky the sigil will proc before the 6th attack.
On average, theoretically the sigil will proc on the 3rd attack.
It is much better to have it at 100%, from a gameplay/skill perspective, and a power perspective.
The OP’s sig just screams entitlement.
Learn what entitlement means.

Blade Shards for power cores, will be what it is. So that power cores can be obtained after the event.

You really should have capped them at 50 players, so the massive zerg who thinks they are helping does not scale the final Knight to 150 people level…
Also you actually need to give the people at a Knight that fails the same loot as the people who were at a downed Knight. I thought that part would have been obvious…
The current situation is horrible, but please do not claim Liadri was anything but horrendous. If she had been on a flat desert, with no camera/red circle problems or zerg/lag issues, with no bugged orbs and RNG, then you could claim it was a good fight.

Absolutely horrible work, Anet…

No one in my overflow received loot from any of the 3 kills.
SIGIL OF FIRE.
This thing is half the issue.

This is also a major problem:
[Spoiler]Your post is going to be deleted.
It should be ‘ridiculously creepy face kitten girl…stone’.
Such a cliche storyline. Its as if anet just took the speculation and say “hey, why not?”
Was really hoping for something surprising.
The story actually followed a proper progression. Which was great.
Anet has ‘tuned’ it so that you need a full party of 5 zerkers to get a drop…
Worked just fine on the first attempt after the patch and got stuck on the 2d try
Exactly what Becka said would happen.
This is my first time, but I don’t let things like that bother me. It’s here for two weeks, I know the issues will not last the full duration of the Living Story. I’m not the type that HAS to get EVERYTHING done the first time, patience is a virtue =)
When you have limited time to play, these bugs are an absolute killer. And they are in every single patch Anet releases.
Confirmed on Crystal Desert that this is the case. A little frustrating, but there’s always next attempt!
Did you say that last time as well, when the lights did not spawn? And will you say it after the next bug? And the next?
She bugs out and goes invulnerable instead of entering phase 2.
Yep. South-west Prime Hologram goes invulnerable instead of entering phase 2. GG anet, your lack of QA strikes again.
Yeah, the damage threshold or something seems bugged.
Getting Loot from the Legendary Mobs
in Battle for Lion’s Arch - Aftermath
Posted by: Axialbloom.8109
Yeah, they need to fix this.
Living Story events last for a month. The patch on March 4th will last for 2 weeks coinciding with the remainder of the original month’s Living Story update.
Why is this still a question?
It is a legitimate question, unlike yours.
Ride the Lightning is movement skill with no knockback, knockdown or stun attached to it. It is also incredibly buggy and most often on a 40 second cooldown. To claim it is some awesome anti-thief move just puts your grasp of basic gameplay into question.
You run to your Eng and Thief buddies.
@OP:
Elementalist needs help in PvP. It does NOT need help in WvW. It is already one of the 3 most important classes to groups, and has good roaming skills. If you are getting killed quickly, it is you.
We do not need a return to the days when ele was overly OP. That will just get it nerfed again.
Uh, no. Ele is great in the zerg, and average to poor at roaming.

He would also be able to tag far more mobs than you, due to your low level.
Deep Cuts increases bleeding duration by 50%, why so much?, Serrated Stones and Hemophilia increase is only 20%, no wonder condition warriors are so cheesy to play.
Serrated stones also increase damage to bleeding foes. Eles also have traits to increase burning duration.
Hemophilia is a necro trait. Necros are faster to aply conditions and have access to more of them.
Serrated Stones increases your physical, non-condition damage to targets that are bleeding. Why would a condition build want that? Also no one takes the Burning duration trait because it sucks, like most of the Fire traits.
Warriors are dependent on bleeds for condition damage. They have very limited access to other conditions, so to make things fair the Warrior’s “only” condition is buffed.
I don’t see why you can scream OP in comparison to a Necro – Put a condition Necro against a condition Warrior of equal skill and the Necro will win all day long.
Eles have less access to damaging conditions, AND have the hardest time keeping bleed and burn both up. Which is why there is no ele condition build outside of people gimping themselves.
Oh and Impale is INSANELY OVERPOWERED.
I don’t see why this is an issue. Even if you’re a dedicated support player, if you’re not doing enough damage to at least ONE mob, you’re doing something horribly wrong. There is no reason as to why you can’t both provide boons/healing and do damage. If you’re not, you’re just wasting all that time standing there after you’ve used all your support skills.
You get loot from one mob, while the berserker AoEing gets loot from 10. You get WvW exp and a loot bag from one kill because you are laying down water fields, while the berserker gets 5.
It is a dumb system that just encourages tagging and damaging everything, no matter the benefit to your group.
Agreed. This is especially bad in WvW.
