Death to Maguuma!
I killed you outside SM tonight.
So the people advocating buying gold instead are basically saying BLCs are useless, right?
Did the feature patch change anything balance-wise? I am curious to read what people think.
Liadri represented everything wrong with GW2 combat. I beat her, but it was more overcoming the horrible camera, bugs, etc, than actually beating her. What a horrendous fight…
If she is on a flat, desert field, with invisible walls that do not ruin the camera, AoE that is accurate, and Orbs can actually be range attacked, then the fight would work. Would still be a horrible example of the DPSORBUST mentality of GW2, though.
Would not work due to fire fields, etc.
Also, many attacks are like rail guns, or chain bounce, etc.
Buff other runes to its level.
The season one Living Story actual underlying story was REALLY GOOD. The whole pale tree being a corrupted/freed dragon champion, keeping the sylvari from corruption, and Scarlet bypassing that protection and going mad: all awesome.
The problem was, it was told soooo badly, with poor pacing and horrendous dialogue.
I think price will crash pretty hard if it’s the same event as last year.
The destroyer farm wasn’t THAT prevalent towards the end simply because only a few servers had the population to support it (eg. SoS had no one in the crown pav near the end of the event) but with the Megaservers there will be a farm train there 24/7.
Get back to EB.
Everyone was farming Scarlet invasions and not the destroyers at the end.
Are we even sure they are the same mobs from last year?
Anyway, I remember that blood actually went UP in price. Claws tanked though, because everyone destroyer farmed.
This event is to give China access to sprockets and quartz, to even it out with US/EU for future updates.
Next update will probably have toxic spores and whatever I am missing.
you get 25 stacks within 1 zerg fight, why should someone do that. You’d need players who couldn’t join your raid, seems pretty dumb to me
I believe he means the points you get from stomps when you control some ruins.
I’ll just leave this here https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/lore/lore/Black-Citadel-completion/first#post2274285
never gonna happen
Death to charr.
Guys, if you dislike a content, don’t blame devs for the things that you own disagree (Or can’t do). if it is a challenge to evade every one-shot attack, then let it be! If it is a challenge to memorize the pattern of attacks, well, that is a challenge!
It was a boss designed to be beaten by only 10% of community, what you guys call of “Bugs” was there just to increase the dificulty overall.
Some people can’t see a hard content that always says that is “Buggy” or “Stupid”. So funny
PS: Bugs or not, it made the battle even more hard! Its a challenge after all.
One of the worst posts I have ever read. Bugs are not cool.
I beat her. The fight still represented everything wrong with GW2 combat.
liadri was an awesome challenge last summer and i love my mini liadri, it just feels good to have a nice reward for such a win. i just hope they have different rewards this time, i am eager to challenge her again !
Hopefully they fixed the camera and lag issues…
Thieves get screwed over by Chill just as anybody else. Even if you have Initiative, you might not be able to use crucial abilities and die. Most of the easily applied Chills are only 2-3 seconds, and interrupt your routine. What’s the problem really? It slows down your ability to burst, makes you prone to mistakes and can be used to sabotage your attempts to survive. Same goes for Thieves and everyone else. Elementalists are like freight trains; if you don’t derail them at the right spot, you’re going to get run over.
Bizarro world?
The camera in this game is abysmal
It has gotten better, but when there are walls, etc (or a moronic dome…), it fails hard.
Would be a great use for this ridiculous mat.
Of course they went right back up, the Bazaar ended, the sink was gone but the constant flow of supply of those mats weren’t. Ascended mat crafting is what keeping silk in check nowadays.
It went right back up DURING the festival. People put the stuff they had bought from the TP right back on the TP, crashing prices back down.
apparently is acceptable now to sell individual pieces at a much higher price than a fullset now.
thankls alot.
Call it a bundle discount. You buy all 6, you get them cheap. You want one piece? you get to pay more.
What bundle discount?
It censors should consider your?
Yeah, last year’s exchange actually failed to do anything with the excess mats really, because there was just no incentive there. People just dumped the mats they had bought back on the trading post, after finding out how bad the things in the boxes were.
First time the bazaar came to town
Silk scrap went from having 5.1 million in supply to 970K in 36 hours.
Hard leather section went from having 9.8 million to 700K in 36 hours. In both cases it was the first time in memory that the TP price budged off of vendor plus 1c. Hard leather sections are back to those levels, well was, 2.5 million (1750g) were bought up on the announcement so now there’s only 5.5 million on the TP.
Yes, and then the supply went right back up after people put it all back on the TP. Hence why I said ‘people just dumped the mats they had bought back on the trading post’…
GW1 was not laggy at all. On my mesmer I could interrupt all 0.75sec cast skills easily.
I meant more the movement, etc. How it rubberbanded and all that junk.
Or maybe it was another poorly optimised game for long distance ping…
i play on gw2 na servers from malaysia.
most of the time, sPvP is playable though.
rubber banding only comes when there is a serious lag spike.otherwise it is okay.
i can play my hambow warrior just fine.
That helps to explain why you falsely believe warriors are balanced.
now what is this suppose to mean?
what are you implying?
I am saying that you judge warriors by your hammer warrior lagging from Malaysia.
Also that warriors need a nerf.
https://www.guildwars2.com/en/news/prepare-for-the-festival-of-the-four-winds/
This is why. You can trade in leather sections for special boxes full of items during this event.
^ this..
What’s funny is whoever bought into this hype over 9c spent more per sanctum box than 4-5 other mats they could’ve possibly traded in (unless the conversion rates change this time around, which i doubt they will)
Of course the conversion rates will change. Anet are not going to have the same silk rate…
Not sure why you assumed they would not change, seeing as they are a supposed to be a way to dump current over-supplied mats.

I forgot one point: it was a DPS race.
It has to be updated, seeing as the rewards were so horrible at the end.
Oh I beat her. Or I should say, I beat the camera, etc.
- Horrible lag and FPS drops
- Red grated floor hiding the red AoE circles
- Horrible camera angle and a boxed arena
- Bugged orbs that could not be range attacked and could instant kill you
- Useless pick up item system
- Instant death attacks
- A queue
Remember that this fight was the epitome of bad design. Try not to glamourise the past.

Anet have dropped the ball on armour since launch. Some great armour has been added, but most of it is bad. I think they need to take some inspiration from the korean MMOs.
An NPC who sells stuff for them would be nice.
Are you talking about duels?
Sigil of Ice is very useless.
I am okay with 2 second chill, which I can boost it up to 4 second.
I am okay with 10 second cooldown, which 4 second chill for every 10 second seems reasonable.
I am not okay with 30% chance.I’m incredibly glad you are not in charge of ANY balance decisions.
But he is absolutely right. The 30% proc chance is the major problem with it, and keeps it from actually working every 10 seconds.
So it is more accurate to say we are glad YOU have nothing to do with balance.
If you really can’t see why a guaranteed 2+ seconds of chill every 10 seconds would be overpowered, especially on weapons that cleave, we should probably leave it there.
It would not be overpowered at all, and the cleave means nothing seeing as it not per-target. You are grasping at straws.
When I first played D/D ele for the first time after patch, I solo’ed three guys.
Disgustingly strong.
Yes, it was quite a feat killing those rank 1 players who swarmed PvP for the backpiece…
While not as easy as hambow, D/D ele is one of the most faceroll power builds in the game.
While utilising burning and chill raises the skill cap slightly, rotationally it’s still pretty indifferent to what the opponent is doing.
Sarcasm?

Sorry, but Oceania is not a priority atm.
(currently installing hyper servers to boost server performance for China)
Btw do Oceanic players even have anyone to pvp with?
Depends on the time you play at.
It is not about servers in Oceania. The GW2 servers are really poorly set up for Oceanic players.
I figured they were bringing back Sprockets and Quartz for the Chinese players.
If gauntlet was anything like the nerfed gauntlet last year nobody’s really going to farm it since the tickets cost more than the profit you get from the bags which might be why sprockets aren’t dropping.
Get back into EB.
That Oceanic players have horrendous lag.
Never watched US players before, and it sure was an eye opener. I had always assumed GW2 was just laggy like that, like GW1 was, but it turns out it is just us.
Your connection is horrible for Oceanic players Anet, far worse than other games who host servers in the US. Please look into this.

I am curious about the story behind your signature. Jed?
Thank you for asking! My signature references some folks I’ve run with on Jade Quarry
Reminded me of Jeddas and MERCS.
Pity ele condition builds are so bad
If you look closely at the Dragon Brand. you can Tell by their rank..(DragonBrand Invader) That those people are BRAND NEW to WvW as they are rank 1-4 being “Invader”. They need to learn the aspects of WvW. Also they need to take the time to read the siege prints and Learn what they can do.
Like a year too early for ranks…
Yeah, the points and rating system encourages both 1 and 3 to attack 2.
Oh and if you want an example of this in action, look at the current NA EotM.
Unless I am missing something, EotM will nearly always favour green, followed by blue, then finally red. This is due to the teams being based on what the servers colours are at the moment. So you will have higher rated servers against lower rated ones.
Is this correct? And if so, are Anet going to do something about it, e.g Randomised colours for each server.
