Any timer for Bloodstone Harvest creatures?

My guess is April 18th for Ep 5 with SAB on March 31st.
With unlimited dodging, would people just spam dodge the entire time?
That’s the whole idea, you stand still for a fraction of a second, your dead, and just spamming the dodge skill would not help if you where not paying attention on which direction to dodge in. You could very easily dodge right in to the path of a projectile or AOE.
On my server we had mobs that used instant kill laser rifles and tactical nuclear weapons. If you where hit, you died. You learned VERY fast to dodge and shoot the nukes out of the air because you had to.
With perma dodge, the chances of you getting hit between evade phases is fairly low and players would just keep spamming it in order to rely on RNG to complete the challenge.
You’re better off removing perma dodging and instead create telegraphed obstacles where the only way to get past is by dodging.

Maybe Anet claimed that they were made available all day, but personally Tendril Torchers and Shooting Gallery are still closed about 60% of the time I walk past, solely because the meta hasn’t advanced far enough along.
Tendril Torchers not being available (assuming it’s daytime) would be a bug then as the patch note states it should be available during the entire daytime.
Shooting gallery is only unavailable when either of those three events are active. The adventure is available anytime befor and after that part in the meta assuming it is daylight.

I think adventures need to be available at least 75% of the time, which means in VB they would need to be available for part of the night as well and most if not all of the day. It just sucks to have to do meta events just to gain access to these adventures. You can’t just pop in and practice whenever you want if the meta isn’t advancing fast enough.
Other than that I’m generally ok with them. I do wish that the requirements for gold on some of them was lowered, but keeping a title for people who hit the current requirements, to show that they did it. This would help people gather their mastery points as well as lower frustrations for some (hopefully).
The April update made them all available in the day unless there is an event going on in the immediate vicinity.
The Tendril Torchers and Salvage Pit adventures in Verdant Brink have both been altered to stay unlocked during the entire daytime period.
The Shooting Gallery adventure in Verdant Brink has been altered to be unlocked during most of the day, except when the following events move through the space:
- The “Defend the Pact encampment against hylek attacks” event
- The “Salvage scrap from the crashed Pact airship for Bongo to reinforce the outpost” event
*The “Help Faren train to be a swordsmaster” eventAll adventures in Auric Basin will now remain unlocked except during the “Battle in Tarir” meta-event.
The Beetle Feast and Scrap Rifle Field Test adventures in Tangled Depths will now remain available when the chak gerent isn’t present.

i will give credits for the op of this post .but have never spent a penny at all in this game.
other than the money i spent to buy this game with real world money a long time ago .
for me i seen no need to spend any real world cash at all in the game. there is just
noting at all worth it. even more so with items from gem shop being able to be gotten
with in game gold . and change it over to gems in the cash shop .. and i will never spend
another penny at all on this company . giving the fact the game still uses only DX9 .
all the mean while much older games like this that i do play . have put in DX11
needless to say even tho they are much more older games when they updated to dx11
and put the more fun back into there games !! for me that said a whole lot more . with
out saying a word . unlike this company ANET has FAILED even more so with there
latest patch . thus they will never ever get another penny from me. until such time
anet fixes the game and adds DX11 . that is if the company is still around even .
Going to DX11 or higher will not do what you think it will do which has been talked to death in several threads and even has someone from Anet essentially stating so.
Being able to get the listing fee back when canceling an order defeats its purpose.
All of those with 20K+ AP earned them by completeing various achievements across the entire game. Why should players get it easier by doing dailies (or monthlies that are pretty much dailies)?
With each update we’re getting more and more AP. They even added quite a few with the PvP map specific ones.
The Devs have stated there won’t be any new Worlds for SAB, but that they planned on releasing it yearly as a Festival (of sorts), (with the new items usually released with Festivals each year).
I guess I’m fine with that, I just hate to think valuable resources would be a wasted on something that’s not even secondary to the game
What resources though? Assuming nothing in the game engine changed, all they’re essentially doing is “flipping a switch” to re-enable access to the SAB instance.
If you remember from a couple years ago, someone had logged into a trial account, which they used for SAB a year or so before that, and was able to play it to a degree. It’s still there in the game.
Making new maps, new bosses, and new enemies, like they did last time.
That takes a lot of resources. As I said, I’m fine with the flip of the switch, but they shouldn’t chain a dev to play the an orchestra on the content
Where did I say that they would add a new world. SAB last year was no different than Sept 2013 other than the addition of the collections. They could certainly release episode 5 at the same time or after it which I think would only be two weeks later (April 18th?).

And here we go with the dismissive responses.
This is not just me. I’m the one making the post after the complains I’ve heard in-game every time people attempt them.
Feedback has been given for each adventure too. What I wrote in the post is just one example. You can use google and search the forums to see all of the other feedback. All has been listed already. But adventures merely got more time added to them instead having those issues addressed.
And don’t tell me there are invisible collisions. Look at the image attached. As you can see the crosshair is right on top of the target, none of the items in front of it are visibly in the path, yet they stop the bullet.
Funny enough, when you do fire, the bullet goes anywhere but to that target, because it strays from a straight path. Leave the mouse alone, fire only with the keyboard, the crosshair doesn’t move, the bullet goes all over the place most of the time, and when it does go to the target, the bullet doesn’t reach the target. Something stops it. I’ve walked right to the target to fire, since there’s a jar there that disappears if you move far from it even at the highest settings, but the image I attached aims to the head of the dummy, well over the disappearing jar. Meaning the objects in front of the target have collisions bigger than their models.
It doesn’t matter if they give you 1 more minute to do the adventure if you are going to spend that minute firing until the bullet happens to stray right on that minuscule gap between the invisible collisions that lets the bullet through.
It doesn’t matter if the adventure is open before the meta is completed if there’s hostile creatures constantly spawning there and attacking you. Seriously. Once I wanted to waypoint away to join my guildies for guild missions. The creatures around there respawn so often that whenever I opened my map, another one had appeared and put me in combat. I had to waypoint somewhere else in the brief moment there was no enemies to waypoint from the map.
Adventures need to get fixed.
If they want me to give in-depth feedback of every issue, I’ll ask around, I’ll get lots of people to try them and give me their issues with them, and I’ll make a list to add to all previous feedback on them that already exists in the forums.
But it doesn’t matter how much feedback we give if it’s nothing is done with it. Adding more time to do them won’t fix the issues. That does nothing.
The invisible collision in the attached image is that rock.
Telling people to just google search doesn’t help them identify the problems that you are specifically having. It’s no different than me creating a post complaining about the prices on the TP and then telling those who want specifics to just google to see what I’m talking about.
The bullet has never strayed from the path that I have fired. If you’re moving the cursor as you fire then you have a greater chance of missing despite thinking that you should have hit the target. Firing from a long distance requires a very precise shot. You’re not shooting with a shotgun.
Nothing spawns in that area that cannot be avoided. And no, I am not referring to them as an obstacle. Exactly what is attacking you and from where in that area? Everything there should be yellow except as you get towards the exits which you don’t need to go to.
As I mentioned in the other post, you should look at your ping. The issue could be that you’re lagging which could cause what you’re seeing.
(edited by Ayrilana.1396)
Also, there is no difference between Gems bought with cash or Gems bought with gold, because every single Gem is originally bought with money.
Gems bought with cash are different. For one, purchasing them actually generates income for Anet. Secondly, the gems that you purchase do not come from the same bucket as those from the gold< – >gem exchange.
A bow named Apocalypse seems like it would be more dark and such rather than a radiant bow of light.
The only time I have noticed a populated DS map is when the daily is there.
A lot of the masteries in DS are gated behind map progression.
I believe an achievement relies on meta completion too.
In fact more than one…
I find it populated every time at map reset. If I happen to not end up on a populated one, there’s usually one on LFG.
They could if you’re very specific about what the problems you’re having are.
Shooting gallery is available during the day whenever there isn’t a meta event at that location. It’s available for more than a few minutes.
I’ve never noticed any invisible collisions. Do you know which targets specifically? From where were you standing?
What’s your typical ping when doing it?
I don’t expect the next episode in april, because SAB.
Wasn’t SAB only two weeks last year? We could end up getting the next episode mid-April. They could also end up releasing them together as SAB likely will be the same as last year.
I’ll get it for completionist purposes but I doubt I’d ever use it.
Assuming she has the bandwidth to actually work on this.
I don’t understand this achievement. Do I have to be in my own instance to get credit? The rocks are easy to see and slow-moving, and I don’t appear to get hit by them but I still never get credit. Is there some other reason I wouldn’t get credit for it? I can’t figure it out!
Tiny, weak, hard-to-see orbs show up in later flights. All they do is an insignificant amount of damage and strip the achievement from you.
Ahh, now the rocks may be easy to avoid but those little guys are far more numerous. Is there some trick to avoiding them?
I went to the other side so I was out of range. Just watch out for the rocks as you move over.
I did the achievement solo as have many others. It’s far from impossible. The boulders are slow moving so learn how to avoid them. I almost want to say that he throws them at certain, predictable intervals. The only RNG with that achievement is solely based on the individual players skill.
Of course there is no way around it
Either they nerf it or they fix it and we all know their not going to fix anything.
Or they determine that it’s not broken so there’s nothing to nerf or fix. Metas will fail on occasion, but hardly ever when people get organized soon enough.
Now, that doesn’t happen to be true for Silverwastes or World Bosses (aside from Triple Worm) — people can show up and do just about anything and the meta can succeed on the strength of a few people knowing what to do. (It changed for Tequatl and SW because of HoT: our builds got more powerful.)
The maps with complicated metas need a bit more attention, which is why they sometimes fail. And I like that aspect of them — World Bosses are boring because they never fail.
There are no complicated metas they can all be beaten like any world boss if they have the numbers. AB can be done with the least amount of people while a perfect VB needs the most however HoT maps don’t have the steady numbers to be completed like any other map.
My comments have absolutely nothing to do with events failing on occasion at all and have everything to do with tuning. From buggy last story instance to people still complaining about buggy collection vendors a person could write a book. However on things that everyone notices are that problems reported are HoT related. People are not posting about issue with ls3, ls2, nor the core maps and people aren’t making up excuses to defend ls3, ls2, or the core maps as HoT is the issue.
HoT maps are the most underused, buggiest, and without a doubt the most unbalanced in this entire game. They’d require the most work to fix and Anet doesn’t fix they remove as was seen with underwater, certain class mechanics, anything that even slightly bothers esport activity. HoT has been nerfed once already and the large post HoT powercreep we’ve seen not even two years since it’s launch should count as an additional nerf to HoT.
They’ll no doubt nerf it some more because their feedback and their presence is more Reddit based than these forums. This place has a voting system but it’s hidden. The entire forum can be swinging one way but the hidden upvotes can be in another direction. I read both forums because the devs are on both and HoT isn’t perfect and it has and no doubt will be nerfed again in the future. I’m against hard nerf but am all for fixes and soft power creep nerfs.
VB can be done with half a map. HoT maps do have the numbers as they are continuously being completed. If you need to hop into a map, use the LFG. If you need to pull people to you map, use the LFG. It’s what it is for.
How exactly are HoT maps the most underused maps in the game? How many people use core maps that don’t have a world boss? Surely those are underused too. Buggiest? Exactly what bugs are you speaking of? I haven’t encountered a bug in months. Unbalanced how?
I don’t see it being nerfed unless there is very little people completeing the metas. Considering that they’re still getting completed, it’s unlikely to happen any time soon.
The reward being that they no longer have to grind for AP similar to the reward of some infinite achievements (i.e. salvage and dungeon) having a cap so players don’t have to continuously grind those.
That still doesn’t make any sense. People are “rewarded” for being forced to stop something implies that they didn’t want to do it in the first place? So, they can reward themselves by simply stopping.
No different than those who refuse to do all of the achievements to earn those armor skins like everyone else because doing so isn’t fun. The armor skins are for those that went out and achieved things in the game from doing a multitude of various tasks. They’re not something that can just be obtained from simply doing your three dailies and biding your time.

Population is down or spread out. Still new players coming in. Metas were completely doable and achieved a healthy life cycle, but that was 2 years ago. Metas can still be done, but not as reliably as before even during NA prime time. Seen more and more metas fail that past few months and I’m showing up (when I do) the same time as I did a year or so ago. I think they had a good run, but if they are going to be reliably doable, I think they need the SW QoL adjustment.
HoT has only been out for a little over a year; not 2 years.
Metas have always succeeded when people actually listen and work together. You can also tag up and get people on your map. So many people get frustrated that they cannot simply join an already existing map and refuse to take the initiative and start their own.
What SW treatment? I don’t remember it being nerfed because there wasn’t enough players.
I’ve done map completion with all of my characters. You can get everything solo except for what’s at the towers and the final area with the map boss.
As far as mastery point unlocks, everything in a strongbox can be obtained solo. Obviously those tied to an event cannot be done solo.

“Penalizing” to some loyal customers and a relief to others.
If it truly is a relief to some, they have a strange understanding of reward. That’s not at all logical.
The reward being that they no longer have to grind for AP similar to the reward of some infinite achievements (i.e. salvage and dungeon) having a cap so players don’t have to continuously grind those.
I still don’t follow the logic:
- Without a cap, veterans continue to earn 10 AP/day and there’s never any way to catch up.
- With a cap, the only gap is the 1400+ historical AP. There will never be any way for new players to make up for that, because headstart players will also be able to earn whatever new achievements become available.
The only veterans to whom new players can catch up would be those who stopped playing, in which case, AP acquisition no longer matters.
(And again, to be clear: I have never been in favor of ANet worrying about a cap, whether to add one or remove it. Rewards have never been the most appealing part of this — or any — game for me.)
And they’d still catch up to those players regardless with new achievements added to the game.
(edited by Ayrilana.1396)
I wouldn’t wait until the next expansion as that’s likely at least a year out.
Getting to the cap is a little slower but how many people actually did 10+ daily achievements consistently every day with the old system?
I have missed 34 days since launch (a 30-day boycott and 4 days where I didn’t have a computer).
Well, up until they screwed us over for being loyal players. Now it’s not so important to me to play every day.
Diminishing returns I could see. But, a hard cap is just ludicrous. It makes no sense whatsoever to penalize your most loyal customers. But, there it is.
“Penalizing” to some loyal customers and a relief to others.
You’re selling something within the game for game currency so I don’t see why it would be against the rules.
Just be aware about the risks as you’re using an unsupported method of trading and could get scammed. Anet may take action against the scammer but you would never get reimbursed.
If you want to know for certain, contact support to get clarification. I did that for something else, not because I wasn’t sure, but I wanted to have my bases covered.
(edited by Ayrilana.1396)
Getting to the cap is a little slower but how many people actually did 10+ daily achievements consistently every day with the old system?
I meant the even older system, where each daily was worth 5 points. And when there were monthlies, also worth a considerable amount.
But, the cap has been there since the inception of Dailies;
Not true. The dailies were there since the launch, but the cap appeared only in one of the later iterations of the system (fourth one, if i remember correctly).
You mean the system where players could do the daily within five minutes (like now) which consisted of four generic daily achievements that never changed and monthlies which were often completed within several hours? All of which didnt provide as much AP to players as the system we have in place today
I’d expect at least two more episodes. They’ll not going to announce the expansion until the end of the year at the earliest and I doubt they’d have an extended content drought before it. I’m thinking that we may get 6 episodes for each of the story lines and two more to lead into the expansion. I seriously doubt people would want an expansion that has barely a year of development time
To encourage profession diversity, all 9 professions must be brought to a raid. 1 profession may be duplicated.
You can impose that on your own groups that you create.
Hint: 40 evergreen slivers (I think? whatever the base thing that drops is) will double click their way to the lodestones needed, no crafting involved. I may be off on the number, whether that makes 1 or 5 lodestones. But check your bank for slivers, you may be swimming in them.
Should be 16 slivers.
2^(n-1) where n equals the total number of tiers.
Forgot about those. I should sell what I have in my bank.

Due to a crash error, we have temporarily disabled the Bastion of the Penitent raid wing. We will update when it is available. ~RB2
Will never understand why Anet uses 3rd party platforms for important infos like this. Not everyone is social media freak (for good reasons too, since they constantly break privacy/data protection laws).
You don’t need to register to any of the social media websites that Anet uses in order to get information from there. You also don’t even need to participate on those social media sites.
You can always make the suggestion that Anet use one of those automated phone systems to call (or text) people when anything occurs to the game that could impact them.
I actually do otherwise i wouldn’t get notification that there is info like this on first place.
Haha, phone call, you are very funny (not really). You know they could just use official Anet platform to post information, that would actually suffice…..It happens all the time too. When there was issue with pvp season titles, they posted info about what is being done about it and when we will get titles on muffin-lovers and trolls club board (aka reddit, where pvp’ers usually get flamed/downvoted and harassed to oblivion) weeks and weeks before they finally answered that question on official forums to actual pvp’ers. I think it is absurd.

There’s nothing wrong with them trying to communicate to players across various platforms. You don’t need to register as you can check regularly or at the very least when you experience an issue. They even communicated about the issue on what you consider an “official” platform but still posted in the very same subforum that the notification was stickied.
Yeah, days later….
Umm… did you even look at the time stamps? It was made well before this thread.

There is an active community. I highly suggest joining a guild. Almost everything in the game can be done with heroes.
The current event is permanent. You can do it anytime after you beat the story. Dropping the requirement to beat the story defeats the entire purpose of the current event.

First off, after you complete it for the first time which doesn’t require crafting
I thought you had to craft the vision crystal yourself? How else can you get it?
Oh. I forgot that you still had to obtain that outside of the current event achievements. You can wait until the 28th day for that login rewards. Just go for the ascended materials chest. I also want to say that a couple achievements had it has a reward but I cannot remember which.
First off, after you complete it for the first time which doesn’t require crafting, wait until the next daily reset. Go talk to the Pale Tree to complete another achievement. Then go back to the home instance to speak with the NPC to exchange that weapon for another one of the weapons at a cost of the weapon and 1000 unbound magic. You can complete the collection this way.
If you’re set on crafting, the cheapest route is to craft T7 mats and then sell them. Some make a profit while others don’t although it’s not that bad of a loss. This does take a lot of time though. A slightly more expensive route is to craft exotics. Look for the cheapest ones which tend to be those with the cheapest inscriptions.

Not all fixes can be done with the snap of a finger. Sometimes they’re more complicated and take time to fix and test. Not to mention the time spent troubleshooting to determine the root cause of the problem.
Its bulkitten, Mystic Coin not balanced and it wont till all HoT legendary wepaons published. I will remind all of these when MC hit 2g. Dont say it won, coz it will, every events, items, skins etc need coins, more skin puttin into game creating more demands for coins. And why ppl talkin without think and just focusin price of MC? Think and compare with other that u makin legendaries. Are u okey with it that u even not spendin 250g for all mats but just for mystic coins? If u okey with that i have no words to say for u. And we will see when legendary armor hit the game. Probably coin will hit 3g.
The price has appeared to have stabilized at the beginning of last December. I’d say that it’s balanced. Balanced doesn’t mean that the price level is favorable to everyone.
I’m still worried about the impact that the release of Leg Armor will have on MC. I can see it temporarily increasing the price of MC, but I don’t have faith in the price to come back down naturally
I can see an initial spike but I believe it would be caused by speculators more than a significant increase in demand. This does not mean that both won’t contribute; I just feel that speculation would play a larger factor.
How many people already have their 150 LI? How many are getting pretty close? My belief is that there isn’t a large enough players to push the prices up enough to cause an impact beyond the normal ups and downs. Definitely not the 3G that one person is claiming a few posts up. It’ll have about as much impact as a new legendary weapon but likely less due to how many will be able to go for it.
(edited by Ayrilana.1396)
Yea, i had considered buying a few to make a few more versions of caladbolg, but not for that price. The drop rate should have been increased this last patch.
Unnecessary as the price is dropping back down to its normal price. Players will always pay a premium to be among the first. Considering that you can stat swap for free, and go between those weapon types, I’d say the cost to craft is more than reasonable even if lilies were 25G each.
