I hate that I can’t take sigil out of my legendary weapons, but it’s gonna be awful for armor

I fail to see how burning is op. Burning guardians are an easy kill, burning rangers are an easy kill, engis are def an easy kill… only issue is ele, which necro pairs up well with.
Burning isn’t op at all, the problem is drakes breath and how short a cd it has for how much burning it can apply.
It’s not weak but it isn’t as good as its supposed to be. Again, like in said with wail, it should do more physical damage. It should immo also due to how slow it is, but that could be too strong paired with mh dagger
I don’t think a blast on it would be very helpful tbh, though I’d take it because it’s better than nothing. I do think it should do physical damage though, not a ton, but some, or torment
I really like the tempest and enjoyed it I’m Beta. I also agree with many people’s complaints about it, but I also like the warhorn more than most people seem too.
However, since the reveal of Berserker and Daredevil, not to mention the buffs to Reaper, I’m much more excited for those. I play my warrior casually and I’m considering making it my main, and Thief is my original main that I haven’t used in 2 years, now I’m running frac with it

Warrior is hot garbage 1v1 no idea why someone said that.
Anyway cele nec or mm nec is best 1v1 in a PvP setting. In wvw it’s easy to kite a necro… not sure what I’d take. WvW necro is only good in numbers for the most part and I’d use a wellomancer.

Do raids in other games, and youll understand exactly why they made them 10 man raids. Too many people and it gets unbelievably annoying and almost a guaranteed loss without all great players. Flexible then it becomes like any other scaled content. Why are you not complaining that dungeons are for 5 person parties
As those are my most played professions, im going to tell you to play ele. Its the best class overall since its great in all game modes. Mesmer is my personal fav, but its an acquired taste. Necro is very love it or hate it, and I would probably make it second and mesmer last. Mesmer isnt hard to play or anything, but its… a bit annoying to level for a lot of people since it has very little area damage.

10 man is perfect. Wildstar combat system is similar to gw2 and had 40 man raids and it was a huge mdss. they lowered it to 20 and still had issues

As an ele/mes main that’s played a lot of necro as well the past year, I decided when HoT comes out I want to play diff classes. I actually play every class, but 50 percent of my hours are between those two. I didn’t like Rev at all when I played it, but I didn’t try anything beyond power. I’m a sucker for hybrid builds these days and the berserker has all my attention to be honest

Honestly daredevil looks amazing, but it looks like it’s built to draw you into a long fight. Minion reaper or a bunker will do just fine

The main problems minions had of not attacking targets and not surviving are basically non issues. MOST fights, it’ll just be one bone minion that dies and everything else will have 100% uptime. Fractals are a different story, you would never take minions into grawl shaman or mai trin or archdiviner or whatever else because the minions die pretty much instantly in there.
Minions are a problem in skipping sections, but this can be alleviated by just swapping the skills out for those sections which kills the minions. Little bit of extra effort.
Most of the sections where you pull mobs around a corner are not a problem, you just have to learn how minions work. As long as you don’t target anything, they won’t attack anything, and the mob being pulled should ignore them until you and your minions start attacking.
Big upside to this is that minion necro carries two or three blast finishers on their utility bar, popping those rats before a fight isn’t a bad idea.
Overall, dungeon minionmancer is viable. It’s not optimal in all situations. For the situations in which the minions can stay alive and not cause problems, we need the calculator boys to get on that and work out what the DPS is and compare it to the meta wells setup.
Agreed. The dps is def higher than the well set up. I did Coe and frac 30 and absolutely crushed. Will run more tmrw

You know what, I agree with this. I lm happy the beta test is next week because I really love playing the new specs, but I think engi and ranger should be in it as well. I mean it is what it is, but I have a feeling the engi and ranger are actually the two that will need the most feedback
both herald and berserker got some info shown on the wednesday via a third-party magazine, but since they didn’t do that for the first 4, it’s not an absolute rule.

I don’t see necro hate in dungeons or fractals for a long time actually. I only see Ranger hate.
Necro is a solid class, not the best, but it’s been getting a lot of attention lately and I’d jump on the bandwagon if I was you

I don’t know if it’s because most of the Warrior community doesn’t like to play condi or what but berserker seems amazing to me… beyond amazing. Yet we have no red posts, every other class got some dev posts after their reveal. The torch pre didn’t shoot up in price like every other pre did after an elite specs weapon was shown, is actually 20g less.
I just find this so weird. I actually made 3rd warrior out of sheer excitement for this and I feel somewhat alone
AA – It’s built more for making pve viable with the spec as it does a 3 sec weakness.
Stealth attack – The fact that the weapon doesn’t have built in stealth is probably why they made it so powerful (2 sec KD stealth opener would be broken if you could chain stealth like */d)
Weakening charge – It’s actually death blossom with weakness and direct damage in stead of bleed/evade. Makes the weapon viable to use with SoM as a white damage weapon.
Debilitating Arc – Breaks immob, allowing you greater flexibility in util choices.
Dust Strike – emergency blind if you’re out of end, same cost as Debilitating Arc so probably intended to be a situational/tactical choice between the two
Vault – Probably intended more as a gap closer/support trait proc opener for team fights. Seems a little expensive for what it does. Leap finisher does allow it to set up as a stealth combo so could have interesting team play interactions with the stealth attack?
Channeled Vigor – Any way you slice it it’s a lame heal. If you’re so low on end you need to use it, you’re not in a position where using it is actually safe. Reduce the healing ratio and give it something else. Pulsing blind or projectile reflect or something, IDK.
Reflexive strike – Traited, it’s an 8s recharge stun break as well as a block/reflexive knockdown. Looks like a really solid overall defense panic button.
Fist flurry – Super situational, but it’s unblockable, be a good CC follow up against anybody that runs passive block. Might be mechanically interesting if you can hold palm strike for a while. Good way to force the target to blow a dodge so you can exploit your advantage of extra dodges maybe?
Distracting Dagger – Looks intended for breaking heals to secure kills.
Impairing daggers – Slow makes it easier to exploit interrupt traits/gear and time dodges. Seems better as an opener than a gap closer.
Elite – Solid finisher. Means you don’t have to worry about stomping if you start the chain at the end of the opponent’s HP bar. If the chain times like autoattacks you could down the target with hit 1, miss hit 2 due to downed knockback, blind, etc, and still have time to run in and do hit 3 and finish them. Great roamer/skirmisher elite to full-kill targets and GTFO fast.
Overall staff seems like it’s got good bones, but testing needs to be done on those damage values they might be a little low, or they might be perfect when combined with the traits as a lesser damage/more durable melee set. It’s nice to see that the utilities/elite synergize well with existing sets and add real options as alternatives to deception utils.
It’s definately a better PvE set for non-condi builds just on virtue of spamming 2 and built in mobility, but it might need some cost/damage tweaks to be attractive for pvp.
Staff is garbage.

Some U-skills are really solid and powerful, elite is very good.
Tbh i don’t see staff replacing nor primary sets ( D/X, S/X) neither sbow, mostly cuz it’s nor more powerful than current sets neither has more tactical uses ( no poison, bad auto, slow skills and backward evade LOL).
Even if some skills damage are very high, their utility is terrible ( D/P has blinds and dazes and stealth combos, S/D has stealth, dazes and inf strike, forward evade which can be also used backward) while staff has nothing aside some combo finishers u can’t combo with cuz u have no fields LOL.
it may seem very cool at first sight but damage isn’t everything, not even in PvE, mind it in PvP where staff will be garbage if released this way.
The idea behind it is very cool, but weap skills needs to be better than this.
I can see S/D, S/P and D/P being very strong with daredevil elite spec instead of shadow arts/acro and 3rd u-skill and elite as physicals.
Staff doesn’t seem like garbage st all, just a weak aa, which isn’t a big deal

I hate warriors in every single game except this one
Warrior is the best solo class. Warrior never stops attacking, not even to heal, Guardian does. Everything Warrior has is to help it kill quicker, guardian is to survive longer. Warrior naturally survived much longer anyway.
Funny thing is, Guardian does more damage and makes team more defensive. Warrior does less but makes the party do more damage

I want to kill them off asap. They are the worst. I was dying to play as one, but after defeating zhaitan without their help you would think they would do something. Scarlett mangles LA which is next to their home and they do nothing. They don’t even help rebuild, even the Kodan did that. I call for complete genocide

I feel taking Reaper makes soul reaping mandatory. Being in melee range, you need the shroud length increase, I couldn’t keep shroud up all without it.

Why are people knocking MM when it’s probably the best necro pvp build. Only thing that stops it from being meta is minion AI. The AI is awful and I completely understand why people hate it but tibsay the builds are awful is silly. MM necros faceroll so many other builds by default
While I’ll hold off on comments about the strength of reaper shroud until next Beta, I do not see why anyone is upset. Necro has gotten more dev attention the past 3 months than it did in the last 3 years preceding it. Necro, regardless of other elites, is becoming popular due to just how well the Reaper is.
I’ll be honest, berserker to me looks unbelievably good and I can’t wait to try it, but stop hating on the reaper. The reaper isn’t about just dps, it’s a walking living tank.
