I played GW1 when it was new and I absolutely hated it. I thought it was going to be an MMO but it was instanced and small and reminded me of a bootleg diablo 2 so I tossed it. I picked up GW2 not even remembering was GW1 was, but now that im so addicted to GW2 and not an kitten I want to play GW1 again. I actually have it sitting next to me im gonna reinstall eventually
You can’t use Tomes of Knowledge in WvW after a patch soon after their release into the game, for this exact reason. As for using Writs, spamming up to 20 to avoid a stomp is silly, and saving up that many for this purpose is even more lucrative…
regardless if its spamming or timing or this or that I dont know, I never even thought of it, but ive been drop kicking people and they mysteriously pop up as im about to stomp them and proceed to fight me like night of the living dead. I finally did some research and found it its people using writs, I would of never thought of it personally.
can we make it so you cant use these in WVW? its annoying when you down people and they use them to level and pop back up at full health
seriously, this is just fine. I opened 3400 bags and got around 12 exos or so, and a ridiculous amount of rares and skill points. after salvaging everything and using all the mats for conversion and such I had enough to buy basically everything I needed for incinerator including spark.

OP I’m going to be more honest than everyone else here. You’re just a terrible Ranger that doesn’t understand it’s own mechanics. LB damage kittenes on anything the axe can do in wvw or pvp Damage wise. All F skulls should be equal, if anything the Rangers need a buff. Ranger is my third fav class, Warrior probably 6th and I can tell you all about both. A warrior using eviscerate sucks for them because they low all their adrenaline and with most builds become at a disadvantage. Meanwhile Mr ranger has his F skills to fear, and then his f skill to knock down while unleashing a 16k barrage. I’ll take the ranger f skills over the garbage warrior ones any day

Dude, this is how business works. They’re giving it to players who actually play the game, if you dknt, you have to work a little harder to do something we did for being loyal players. I don’t care if ff14 never deleted anything theyes had to rework their entire structure because of how bad it was, and they actually took things from gw2 so stop. It’s not hard to party up with someone who has the story done and be able to getbjnt. That’s it, it’s not hard at all and it’s free. As for season one it will eventually get released again, it’s not anets fault for having a living world that was evolving the game and giving us something to do every 2 weeks. You spent so much time spending apparently more than 15 dollars a month to enjoy clones of eachother and now you’re hearing crying about free content because you have to wait a little while and possibly party up with strangers. please please please stop.
it depends on a lIt. Warrior Guardian Ele are great in all game Modes. pvp changes a lot for the most part but it’s pretty balanced with engi and ele slightly oN top. mesmer is so so in pvp and so so in pve, but it’s also a class not meant for everyone, I personally love it. Necro is great but not for dungeon speed runs. If you’re gone for awhile I suggest starting with ranger or guard. Ranger is awesome these days

Everquest Next will have it, and even if GW 2 releases new content that makes it as great to play as it was when we first started playing GW 2 leveling our first characters, it simply won’t hold my attention. Multi class should be the bread and butter of MMOs, it´s all about character progression/customization after all.
Prepare to be let down then. Multi classing is almost always a mess eve. Dnd tries to get away fro. It and they fathered it. Eqn will be a complete waste of time. Side note, I will try Eqn because I’m a huge old school eq fan

I like Kudzu but it could get use an update. I honestly dont see how anyone likes the shortbow though. The shiny unicorns is just ridiculous. I know people like it but I just dont get it. Especially since the shortbow is mostly used by stealthy thieves… I just… I dont understand.

What all those people seem to turn a blind eye to is the fact that only the humans actually consider the Gods to be Gods in the sense of omnipotent beings that govern their lives.
Norn consider them spirits of action, Sylvari regard them as curiosities, Asura probably think of them as something to be studied and harnessed rather than venerated or worshipped and the Charr outright want them to come back to Tyria so they can stomp them to the curb once and for all.
Dervish is not gonna happen. A Dervish-ish profession might, but Dervish will not make a return unless ANet introduces Race-specific professions. And that is very unlikely, considering that they didn’t want to differ the races on anything but a cosmetic and conceptual level.
Youre wrong about this. I dont know if Dervish will come back, but the way the lore is going its directly opening up for things like the Dervish to appear. Theres no reason for it to be race specific, its literally making more sense that it doesnt have to be. Also the Humans dont see the gods as something that “govern” their lives, but the great beings that give them blessings. All the races acknowledge the power of the Gods, they just have different names/ideas about them. The Charr see them as Gods but think they can out power them, and the other views all the races have is completely irrelevant. The Dragons are the Big Dee in town now and all the races would use anything they can to win, even charr :: gasp :: siding with humans.

Agreed. I realize they are supposed to be lovers and Caithe cares about Faolain greatly but it’s obvious that is the only appropriate option for someone who has a shred of decency. The only excuse I could think of for her actually going through with the murder is if Caithe was certain that she would lose in a fight against Faolain

That’s like saying ‘hey, why didn’t Lockdown hunt down the autobots himself-why did he need the human-US in particular government to help….how did he go about setting up that agreement in the first place…the premise of this movie’s plot makes no sense’-then you go ‘well see because you can ask these questions the movie is a work of art! It has so many levels!’ No……transformers 4 just sucks the only depth the movie has is how deeply it sucks.
The ‘big’ reveal was the sylvari being dragon minions? Yeah that came about 2 years too late-everybody (with sense anyway….apparently the writers don’t think very highly of us) already knew that. This is yet another thing why this game’s world is just …well…insulting. From the first time I played the game and heard-I never played gw1 fyi-that the sylvari can’t be corrupted by zhaitan I thought ‘hmm…..well the ice, crystal and zombie (didn’t know their names at the time) corrupted dragon minions don’t seem to be able to cross-contaminate each other (i.e. in the story/world there’s never been a risen branded or icebrood risen or some wacky combination). Here we have a weird plant race that just popped up and can’t be corrupted…are you sure you’re not a dragon minion of some sort?’ Then later when I watched woodenpotatoes gw1 videos I’m like ‘yeah they’re totally dragon minions’…that was a new player two years ago. Which is why everytime I see a sylvari in the world and everyone treating them normally I think ‘wtf is this-you know nothing about this race. Nobody finds their immunity to zhaitan the least bit strange? Why are you military people following this sylvari! OMG somebody kitten-slap some sense into these people’
Not to mention-did anyone seriously not notice the copy-paste ‘the pact forward base is under attack and will be forced to retreat into the heart of the base where they’ll use some item to turn the tides’ thing from the personal story? Or how about the excessive ego stroking? ‘Well done boss’ ‘Boss you killed that dragon you’re awesome’ ‘Impressive’…..look I already know I’m awesome OK? I don’t need a game to tell me that. Then again people were complaining that the pixels didn’t tell them they were awesome so I can’t fault ANet for that decision….doesn’t mean I like it.
But if this is the sort of thing gamers praise these days….then in the words of tree-man ‘this won’t end well’. I wash my hands of this madness.

Hmm, I love getting them. Once I finish my 8th alt so I have all the classes I’ll use them on new characters to 1)Run through the personal story, 2)Map complete, and finally 3) Cash out the skill points for w/e.
At minimum you get skill points out of them, with a little more effort you get all the level up rewards.
so much this. I have 13 80s and im at 60 tomes right now. Im being cheap and not buying another toon slot, but its only 118g… I can auto level a new guard since I hate my norn one. I LOVE getting TOK. If you think theyre annoying just use them for skill points. If you dont use skill points… lol.

Lightning rod kills Menders in sw basically instantly due to interrupts. Blinding let’s you melee Teragriffs easier. Shrug doesn’t matter I just find it better for sw
