Never used them- don’t even know how to do it- something to do with pve I guess?

Don’t make any real difference in combat when someone dumps huge stacks of conditions on you in a micro second having hit you from stealth with a condi bomb whilst rooting you to the spot so his necro friend unloads on you too, that extra 20hp will save you for 0.001 seconds…

Roaming is pants now- you will generally be attacked from stealth by 3-4 (or more) and as they are also the most mobile class you’ve pretty much had it.

Vs players, in any kind of larger fight with all the other effects, it is impossible to spot.

Condi cancer has now reached epic levels in wvw fights and it’s got to the stage where it’s just not mush fun any more.

I’m not a fan. But the annoying thing is a lot of mastery points are locked behind them or collections are dotted around in them- hence my annoyance at not being able to do them.

The other annoying issue is long ones, where you lose waypoints if you happen to log off, which means next time you miss a jump or fall off you have to start over- which is just time to log something different before you damage something.

Thiefs are already a pain in the kitten adding a 1200 range weapon for them isn’t going to end well in wvw, no matter what it’s spec is (unless it’s pure healing others).

We don’t know what it will actually be yet, but given the ‘balance team’s previous efforts, we’re not confident it will be anything other than brokenly OP in wvw until they nerf it in 12 months time.

I can hardly wait for the usual 3 thief one mes or engi team to one shot people from stealth at range…

Nerfing ACs isn’t the answer- using your brain is. Trebs are a wonderful way of removing siege from most objectives (I’m ignoring Deserted BL, that’s just a mess) as well as forcing the enemy to either come out and fight or lose outer and inner walls/doors.

It’s not necessary to rub your nose against the wall or doors- a fact most people seem to forget.

I’d like to see an addition to siege, which is the portable fire pot. Takes 25(would need to tweak this) supply to build, can be dumped over a wall or gate and removes 50% of the HP of superior rams or catapults in a small area. Would make people stop and think about placement and shield gens/bubbles rather than ‘throw 6 sup cats against the wall and wail at it’.

Most people turn off their thinking when they enter wvw. A fine example this evening- mounting an attack on PS keep in EB. Couldn’t get anyone to come over and build a ram on the tower that is completely stacked with siege but undefended, which we could have flipped with three people. Or a couple catas on outer sm whilst attacking one of their towers which their entire zerg came to defend.

Multiple targets are too difficult for most pugs and pug comms to cope with- the zerg just wants to blob.

Legendary Armor and WvW [Merged]

let me see if I got this right:

1. Raids have a cool down, you can only do a Raid once per week.
2. For completing a raid you get a chest. a chest that contains 13 Legendary Insights.
3. you need 125 Legendary Insights to craft all 6 pieces of the legendary armor (among other things).

that’s a total of 9.5 weeks just to get all 125. is that right?
and yeah Legendary is suppose to be something hard to get, but whats the logic behind the cool-down on raids; Time Required = Challenging Content?
yet another reason why I dont want to do Raids.

Not quite right

1. You can only get the guaranteed exotic, rares, gold and legendary insights once a week per boss.

2. All raid wings are divided into a number of boss fights, wings 1, 2 and 3 all have three bosses which give the rewards mentioned in point 1 once per week. Wing 4 has four bosses that give the rewards once per week for a total of 13 legendary insights if you clear all 4 wings.

3. It’s 150 legendary insight to craft a full set of legendary armour the first time. Each subsequent set of armour costs 300 legendary insights, 150 for the precursor and 150 for the upgrade to legendary.

To get 150 legendary insights, assuming you kill every single boss it takes 12 weeks and you can slack on the last week and kill only 8.

No idea about the weekly limit, I guess it’s to stop people essentially farming bosses for LI’s as there are players who would easily be able to get 50 a week without really trying and that’s with any old group. The really try hards that are really good could get a full set in 2 weeks easily. We also don’t know how many more raids there will be, if we got another 2 wings with three and four bosses then you could earn 20 LI’s a week making the time frame much shorter to 8 weeks.

Not all bosses are the same difficulty as well, wing 4 is fairly easy with the right strategies and comp to the point where you could have 3 or 4 good players essentially carrying hard. There’s also a few other bosses that are much easier than the rest, if they gave LI’s daily you could craft a set in half a year without having to do anything difficult at all.

I wonder how that timescale compares to the average wvw player’s time to max out all wvw levels and unlock all masteries. Given the current state of wvw, I can play for a couple of hours and maybe scrape a couple wvw levels…

Supply definitely needs some tweaks. 50-men squad can carry 1250 supplies. It’s 25 superior rams. Who cares about some ACs above the gate if you can just keep building new rams until the gate is down?

Of course, that assumes that everyone has mastery and can stop to carry 25. Also, never seen a figure much over 800 even with a full 50- some are just too lazy to stop by and pick up, usually the same ones that don’t bother building either.

As defenders, you should be draining supply with supply traps and trebs, as well as wiping out enemy siege.

I see way too many just stand on walls, moan about the lack of defensive siege (but don’t ever place any), and watch whilst the gate or wall goes down- when they knew the blob was coming but did nothing to prepare for it.

So all we really know is that they might throw us a crumb of reward changes and maybe eventually some way of obtaining ascended equipment sometime in 2017.

Legendary Armor: Feedback [merged]

It’s basically a set for the people who can spend 3-4 hours in game at a time at least once a week for at least 12 weeks doing raids. And probably on ts too.

For the majority of the people playing the game, it’s just not going to be available. Which is a shame, as being able to switch my armor without having to either collect items and stand at the MF changing ascended (and then wanting to change back ten minutes later….) or craft multiple sets (some of which now cost 500 gold as items are only available in pve) would be of most use to those that frequently change build- wvw players.

But it’s Ok, we’re used to being ignored by Anet now.

At least we know what it looks like now, so it’s brightly painted X on your head if you’re wearing it in wvw. As we know you didn’t earn it there.

I’d happily do a similar collection to making legendaries (just no JPs, please, Anet) for the armor set even if it meant map completion again.

What is YOUR idea for a "Perfect" WvWvW?

Guild Wars had great ways of making the alliance battles fairer is one side was starting to win too much territory- but then GW2 seems to have taken out all the good bits (like templates, for instance) and just inserted inferior stuff instead.

I’d like to see maps redesigned completely so that they are larger but with 5 servers and three identical maps, each one EB style so structures matter to each other and one central keep like SM in the middle of each map. Think of it as 3 map chess.

There would be a penalty applied the more structures you own (think debuff)- a lot of testing required to set it to the right level! So no one side could dominate against 4 opponents.

I would add a boost if you own less structures but sadly this would be exploited if it included any stats so it would have to be similar to the outmanned buff, or a very small boost.

There would be some epic fights – three ways are fun already but imagine 5 and the tactics needed to be successful would be very different- running one zone blob would not work.

Idea to make Siege Ticking less tedious?

Personally I have always been in favor of a more visual display with gameplay impact – no timer at all, just siege constantly loosing hp over time. 10% every 5 minutes, whatever. This hp can be recovered by using supplies to repair the siege out of combat. No one repairing it would be the same thing as no one refreshing it… except now you need supplies to maintain siege.

The amount of static siege just sitting in structures would drop dramatically and if you dont maintain it… well a 10% hp AC get killed pretty fast.

I dont anyone will cry over it, except maybe Rivercart.

Immediate problem with that solution is you will get some spy or bright spark that decides to refresh every piece of siege when supplies are low so you end up with zero just as their zerg turns up by co incidence….

A more elegant solution would be to click on the tower on the map and it lists out the siege (friendly players only?) and remaining timers. Then anyone can see it and deal with it.

I’d hate to see this change. No downed state would reward stupid stealth mechanic builds and huge bursts to the detriment of more balanced builds.

Deciding whether to res the downed state or downed that low HP opponent in a small scale fight is part of the tactics and skill of small scale- it also means that stupid stealth burst or huge condi burst toons don’t get an auto kill.

If you remove downed state then it would push even more the condi meta as everyone would tank up in zergs and there would be even less build variety. Who would want to play ele when the enemy has 5-10 thiefs ganking squishies the whole time?

Get rid of downed state and we’d see stealth wars- or have you never met the 5 man roaming party of scrapper, mes and 3 thiefs (or two and a druid) that appear briefly to down you and disappear just as quickly?

This. When one toon can stack 27 bleeds on you in a couple seconds, it needs tuning down a bit. Especially when combined with other toons that can throw chill around, bleed on chill just wrecks, then epi and it’s all over.

I’d make it around 8 seconds. One simple change would bring them back in line. No need to slaughter the entire class to fix the issue.

Epidemic needs to be nerfed to a max of 3 stacks of each condi, which would still make it ten times more effective than a staff ele’s meteor shower!

Don’t talk about something if you dont know about it… And yes, this specific set will be raids only. That doesnt mean that theres no cha ce for other game modes to get their own (even tho i dont see it with the kitten they get from players for both the rune system and the looks).

You’re delusional if you think they’ll spend another 18 months making 3 legendary sets for 5 races and 2 genders for a game mode that traditionally gets the short end of the stick.

It was their first time using that tech for armors. Usually when someone get more and more used doing a certain yhing they become efficient with it.

We don’t even have an ascended vendor in wvw…if you think they will design a legendary set for wvw you obviously haven’t been near wvw for long. This is where dreams come to die.

There is no wvw dev team. Therefore, posting ideas for a ‘better wvw’ is a pointless exercise- although some of the ideas at least have amusement value if nothing else.

Actually, I think I’ll make sure we do that after it’s released- after all, they worked so long and hard hopping through same routine many times, seems only fair to teach them there’s no script to wvw and they might need to vary their rotation here.

Any half decent set of roamers can keep SM outer walls down and drained of supplies – it’s the lack of walls to break at inner that makes it so hard to cap at t3- but even then some ninja teams can break inner doors whilst the owners are occupied elsewhere.

It’s an attrition game when it’s t3- don’t expect to be able to k-train it, you might need to actually use that grey mush between your ears to cap it.

Still nothing about population size i see. That is the main point i am trying to get at but i need to see why i wanted to know. This is not about the reason why i wanted to know but a blunt question what IS the population size of gw2 that play raids regularly.

That’s been answered: we don’t know. We can guess. ANet (like other MMO companies) isn’t likely to release any metrics.

GW2 Efficiency has among the best “proxies” for measuring participation … and it isn’t very good; it depends on people creating an account and allowing their data to be collated along with others. Here’s what it tells us:

  • 10% of all GW2/E accounts have at least 46 legendary insights, meaning they’ve been present at 46 boss kills over the 18 months since the first raid encounter was added. That’s also slightly better than one Escort kill/week since Glenna started leading us to McLeod.
  • Those numbers drop down substantially for players with fewer than 1000 hours in the game and triple for those with more. Of those with 4000+ hours, 20% have 126 LI.

It’s hard to conclude much from this data. For example, it’s likely that players with fewer than 500 hours aren’t signing up to GW2/E. We also have no idea how many people have logged duplicate accounts.

Looking at Provisioner tokens (ahem) provides us with some <cough> insight: it takes 300 tokens to craft legendary armor and only 0.5% of players with 2000 hours logged have that many, while hardly anyone has even as many kitten tokens. In other words: hardly anyone is preparing for this, according to GW2/E. That’s different from the impression we’d get reading Reddit or even some threads in these forums.

Another comparison might be looking at how many people own bauble infusions, which would serve as a proxy for counting skilled SAB enthusiasts. Only 1% with 500-1000 hours are registered with any; that goes up to 10% for those with 2000 hours.

Or in other words, based on GW2/E registered accounts, those with few hours tend to play neither raids nor SAB; far more of those with fanatic-levels of hours have participated in raids (high end group content) than trib mode SAB (high end individual content).

However, there are so many caveats to that comparison that it’s easy for people to draw different conclusions (trib mode SAB is, of course, nothing like raiding, for example).


In short, there’s no answer to your question because ANet won’t release the data (for reasons both good and … questionable). That’s why it’s worth knowing why you want the data — it might be possible to answer your question with an estimate or even a guess.

For example, I have no idea the fastest I can go on my bicycle (no speedometer). However, even without the approximate number, I can tell you, however, it’s fast enough to escape earth’s gravity, but only for a short period of time.

edit: I missed Bhag’s announcement with the stats. That’s probably a better proxy than GW2/E. Thanks to Vinceman for the link.

I’d have to say that based on those statistics, very few people raid regularly. Raiders are much more likely to be game enthusiasts and registered with GW/E, so amongst the overall population we can assume the average number of LI to be much lower.
Is there a total number shown of GW/E registers, or does it only give %ages?

There are also people selling raids, so a number of people will have collected LI without really being fans of raids.

I’m sure people who do raids regularly ‘enjoy’ them. I prefer non-scripted encounters with real live humans, preferably a lot of them, and not knowing how they are going to react or play for the next ten minutes whilst I wear down 10m HP.

I’m confused why it took you 2 years to realize that legendary armor was raid only. Like was the raid only Legendary Collections not a big enough hint?

Also I’m pretty sure most raid bosses are harder than blobbing

I didn’t. Just expressing my continuing disappointment at the neglect of my favoured game mode.

Most raid bosses are just gimmick and timing- jump here, move here, spam from here, avoid this telegraphed attack, rinse and repeat until down. Learn off by heart and it never changes.

So it’s official. Only way to get legendary armor will be by doing pve. No random drop in wvw or anywhere else- it’s go dance around some stupid pve boss mechanic, execute your toon’s dance correctly and collect your reward.

So those that probably almost never change their build will have the armor that would be most useful in wvw…

If only I could face repeating the same gimmick mechanics 1000 times whilst trying not to fall asleep from the sheer boredom of it all I’d be working on some legendary armor.

I will laugh at the first person I see wearing it in wvw. But then, as an Anet guy once said, all us wvw’rs are really pve’rs in disguise anyway…

A Quick Update on DBL

The majority of people either like it or are ok with it. I think the amount of people who would not play because their guild or commander is running on DBL is almost non-existent. .

Wrong. The majority of people, as seen by activity on the map, don’t like or are not OK with it, or there would be more people on it.

We have people in our guild who won’t bother raiding if it’s on DBL, mainly because the pickings are so lean and it’s ‘run around looking for something to fight’ most of the time which gets boring real fast when you’re raiding, looking for fights. In the end, a lot of the time the raid moves to an Alpine to find some action, as pvd isn’t really our thing.

It’s not a map conducive to tactics, objects aren’t connected or impact on one another and entire zergs can run past each other without noticing.

About the only time it gets interesting is when two servers decide to attack/defend it, but even then trying to get small parties to split off and press other objectives is difficult as the response generally is ‘why bother, it has no effect here and it’s too far to run/boring/lack of loot’.

A lot of people voted, rightly or wrongly, to keep the Deserted BL because of the implied threat in the obtuse question that was set.

The one easy way to resolve the issue is to have another vote with the simple question: should we remove or keep DBL?. Just that. No caveats, questions or answers, just that. Then we’ll know the true measure of the wvw player base’s thoughts on it.

I’m not a fan of it, but not sure which way I would vote. Personally, I’d like to see less total maps but they won’t spend any time working on a map and three copies of EB would be a tad samey….

A Quick Update on DBL

So the conclusion to be drawn is that there will never be a third map? A lot of people assumed that the ‘vote to rid ourselves of it and there will only ever be Alpine’ was as it stated and hence might have voted to keep Deserted BL. People voted to keep it in the hope we’d get a third one, as opposed to never getting a third one.

That’s quite a simple question. Which can be broken down into parts.

1. Is there any work currently happening on a new BL?
2. Are there any devs working on wvw?
3. Are there any plans in the 2 year game roadmap to develop a new BL?

Perhaps if we knew the above, we could have a straightforward poll rather than one coached to obtain a certain result.

Here’s the poll we should have:

Should DBL be removed permanently (perhaps brought back for a couple weeks a year as part of a wvw focus fortnight to pull in players). Simple yes or no. No caveats.

Then we could put this argument to bed once and for all.

WVW Ascended Vendor

If they ever add this I wouldn’t be shocked to see it tied into the skirmish rewards that they’re supposedly working on.

This will be the real issue- if they do ever bring it in, it will be behind some huge wall that requires shed loads of different types of play in order to achieve it. A bit like pve masteries being hidden inside those mini games, etc.

g v g v g would exclude most of the current wvw population. It would also lead to zero people being involved in wvw at certain times of the day. it’s also not going to happen, it’s way too late for Anet to implement that as a replacement for wvw.

Sadly they missed the boat not copying across many of the great features from Guild Wars into GW2, such as alliance battles, HoH, Guild Wars (yes, real gvg). even random arena was fun.

Breakdown of desert borderlands issue

Whether the actual travel times are different or not, they FEEL longer. I’m also interested from what spot in, say, fire keep you measured to.

Spawning back in an Alpine garrison and running back to bay FEELS faster than spawning in DB garrison and running back to the lord room in fire keep, even without environmental affects slowing you down.

On Alpine it’s quicker to port back to the spawn point from NC then go to the NW or NE tower, you need to factor that in on travel times.

Also, check travel times when garrisons are tagged. Again, the trip from spawn to, say fire keep seems a lot longer than spawn to bay,

It takes quite a while once you reach fire to reach the lord room. But if you time it from fire lord room TO somewhere else, it’s considerably quicker as you can ignore all the ramps and elevations.

I maintain that the whole Deserted Borderlands is actually a converted pve map meant to slot in next to Silverwastes with gliding in mind but then found to be spare and mashed up to serve as a BL. Hence why the elevations are so much and why they had to add all the gimmicks.

You’d have to be a fool to consider sPvP a viable method for acquiring ascended. The current ascended gear is sPvP is both just as expensive to acquire and requires even more grinding than standard crafting.

The best acquisition method for ascended is raids.

Followed by wvw where they free drop on occasion.

What is guild wars without the guild and the war part?

It’s called Guild Wars 2. Shortened by most to GW2, so as not to insult the only real Guild Wars, which had guilds and wars. this one doesn’t.

As for reserving spots for guilds, not going to happen. Learn to deal with the ‘pugs’, who outnumber guilds considerably, as well as contributing more to the score than some bunch of posers standing in start area for an hour taking up space whilst they ‘form their raid’, then spend all night doing very little, letting everything else upgrade, and then retiring saying what a wonderful job they did of being farmed by the enemy who held bay all night.

If you don’t want many ‘pugs’ around, move your guild down a few tiers. Or learn to help them, and maybe they might even become guild members and show you how to play.

Anet missed the boat not having proper guild fights from the start (ahhh, how I miss Guild Wars) and factions, and something like HoH. In fact, all the best bits of Guild Wars seem to have been lost in GW2.

I’m not sure what they can do at this stage to fix wvw.

One thing I would really want to see:

Better scouting. Where are enemies going? Where are our guys going? This is a vital piece of information that makes or breaks the game mode. All too often there’s a group of players sieging a tower and capturing it without any opponents coming to defend it. That’s because none of the opponents know what’s going on. White swords pop out if you do as little as engage the guards (without even killing any) and last for a long time. Boy cries wolf and invalidates the message.

Then, after fifteen minutes or so the tower is recaptured again with no resistance. It makes WvW have this “player vs. door” type of gameplay that is not very interesting.

Scouting needs to be made into a role. Individual takes up a spot and relays accurate information automatically. It could work like a sentry feature. Marking enemies should stop contribution loss.

What about the part of playing with other people? I suggest that players should be able to highlight their presence at their own discretion on map, similar to how squad members are highlighted. Maybe just to tell other players on their side that they are not alone on the map and without leadership burden that comes from showing a commander tag.

I’d prefer if NPCs took up the job of scouting. You could still send an ele up to kill them and it only ‘sees’ the ele (or whatever) if you position your attack right. If you just bulldoze up to the door then you SHOULD be visible on the map, as in RL signals would be sent, etc.

The idea of jobs would have been a good one if was here at the start, so they could ahve adjusted them by now to even out advantages.

Bringing them in now would just make things even more unbalanced. And let’s face it, hardly anyone wants to scout anyway as the loot is poor, contribution zero.

wvw would be a much more interesting place if you had to think about attacks, positions etc if you don’t want to be detected.

A thundering herd of 40+ should be visible on the map all the time.

Sorry Gaile, it isn’t about in-game rivalries. It’s about frustration with Anet who has a more direct hand in match-making now through manual glicko adjustments and server linking choices without taking the time to understand the community trends going on with those teams.

I thought your post was nicely written and quite clear in expressing an opinion.

There’s a downward spiral caused by lack of visible action where wvw is concerned. Perception is very important to retain and gain customers- just ask United Airlines.

It’s all well and good coming on and reminding us of the direction you’d like to see posts go Gaile, but seeing as the only other visible dev post in these forums is about working on scoring phase 2 which has taken six months, you can expect the majority of players (who haven’t already left) to be fairly salty (except the white horse riders).

It would encourage wvw players no end if there was even a wvw team, and as others have said, for a dev or two to pop in and comment on issues people raise in these forums. The ghost thief issue is a case in point- months and months of complaints in wvw forums, nothing done. As soon as one solos a raid, wham, nerfbat.

There is a item, you combine with a normal hero weapon to make it into a mistforged. Same item is used to turn the normal hero armor to the mistforged. That iten already exists. ANET said they haven’t decided how to release it. I think that personally its not that cool and they should just release a way to get it.

People keep asking for the tournaments to come back to get the item but this is stupid. You can’t have tournaments with balance so bad in every aspect of the game.

It is true that, there currently is a reward track to get the basic Hero’s weapon, and you CAN upgrade that to a mistforged hero’s weapon via the mistforge, however, to do so, you need the ’ Gift of Heroes’, which is also only obtainable via Tournament tickets.

It’s almost at the top of the devs list- just as soon as they finish redesigning and recolouring hats for every NPC in the entire world.

Actually, wvw and waiting for changes is like one of those annoying telephone waiting messages ‘your call is important to us, please continue to hold’. After 15-20 minutes it pipes up ’we’re sorry, we cannot answer your call, please try later’ and cuts you off.

The WvW team is currently working on Scoring Improvements Phase 2, which was determined in the last priority poll. This involves adding rewards to Skirmishes and improving the Skirmish UI.

It’s only taken over five months…

And they failed to address any of the current issues.

There are no wvw devs. Hence the lack of action. There are dedicated fractals devs, raid devs (spot how quickly ghost thief was nerfed after it solo’d one), maybe even a pve focused balance team. But no wvw devs.

There is one guy who occasionally does something on wvw.

Every few months when they have nothing better to work on (like, say, an NPC’kitten colour needs changing) they do a couple hours work on wvw scoring update phase 2. It’s only taken over 5 months so far.

It’s a shame really, as it could have been a real success and a long term crowd puller, but instead they decided to concentrate on the failed spvp e-sports and create raids for a small minority and fractals (as they are easy to create, being self contained).

Maybe one day someone will wake up and see the potential, but I suspect it’s too late for most players who have already moved on.

Oh, and in before they move this post to the wvw forum graveyard.

And yet no one can run out the side (with or without stealth), both sides at the same time, run around and also push from front and destroy their siege, or run off and start capping camps, or go to another BL rather than feed the campers?

It’s kinda sad how little use of the grey matter in people’s heads they actually use in wvw. It’s like there’s a brain check at the entrance and most seem to leave them there.

It’s like whenever there isn’t a comm on the map, people will mill around rather than see objectives that need recapping, build trebs to knock down walls, go cap the towers when they are called open, etc. But 3-4 will try and fight against 10-15 in the hope of…providing the enemy with sport, I guess.

Perma evade pistol whip thief

Condition stacking Thieves isn’t hard. Read the trait description carefully, “remove conditions when you evade attacks.”

Once you’ve applied a few, sheath your weapon and stop attacking. Let the conditions do their work, rinse and repeat. Most of them will panic mash their dodge or kite.

Since I see in your signature that you’re a power Reaper however, I’d suggest entering Shroud as soon as they get near you, using #2 which should Blind them on the initial stun which will deny them the lockdown, then see if you can bait them in to spending more initiative by skill cancelling. Go aggressive after that and keep your eye on their return spots from Infiltraitors Strike so you know where they’ll port to.

It’s hard to give appropriate advice since every fight will vary so greatly depending on the circumstances. Practice makes perfect so if you’re having trouble with them, either ask one if you can duel them or look for ones to fight.

So, enter shroud. Assumes you have some shroud ready. Then the thief just watches as you burn through your shroud, waits until you switch back, then attacks…only a dumb thief would commence attacking if you shroud before he attacks….

evade.cleanse.evade.cleanse.evade.cleanse. You’re doing basically nothing to them, if you can even hit them.

And of course whenever they feel like it, they can reset the fight.

On the other hand, as a necro, you’re unlikely to be able to get away from them so kiting isn’t effective and LoS needs nearby objects (thiefs usually attack in wide open spaces, easier for them to escape if their cheese doesn’t work).

Give me a res signet and an extra slot to put it in (10 minute cool down) and you can happily remove downed state from the game.

Stealth gank thiefs should be happy, now all they need to do is keep ganking and in a couple of minutes they will win the fight as the enemy will run out of res signets whilst not being able to target the thiefs or down them.

Will scale up nicely- if you are defeating greater numbers then it might take you a little longer but your superior skills should win out.

In the meantime, remove all stealth finishing.

This thread is NOT about removing downed state.

You stated your preference for changes to downed state. I’ve stated mine, as I think yours isn’t practical and does nothing to improve gameplay.

In fact, changing the duration would only help gankers, stealth users and other low lifes, as it would promote 3-5 thief stealth teams instantly downing players from stealth without having any sort of counter, making the game even less enjoyable.
