  • Why hammer auto-attack doesn’t have any particle effets like rest of the melee auto-attacks in Guild Wars 2 ?

Cause its engi.. we always get the worst of the worst visuals. Look at the kits, our legendary effects, even at the REVAMPED kits and so on.. should make it obvios.

I had some fun with the Scrapper so far, but the Gyros can be pretty troublesome. The Hammer is an active melee skillset, while the gyros have to chase you around to keep up, so they’re better for an stationary artillery build. They’re more mobile than turrets, but not mobile enough.

I would recommend hard locking them to the player’s anchor point, not “AI locking them,” in that they sort of want to be near the player, and vaguely wander over to him as best they can, I mean that they will ALWAYS float at a specific position relative to the player.

Maybe Bulwark at 10 o’clock, Sneak Gyro at 2 o’clock, Purge at 8 o’clock, Medic at 5 o’clock, and every move you make, they move exactly relative to your position, as locked into you as that floating plant backpiece.

Jupp, this is what we’ve seen in the original HoT teaser.
This is what we hoped for, along with them being invulnerable to damage / condis.
I don’t mind if they have a low uptime, but I want to be able to use my utilities in the mids of combat, where all the AoE’s are on the ground & melt squishy targets.

So I would rework them like this:
- all gyros are immune to dmg
- all gyros are immune to cc/condis
-all gyros are locked to orbit your character. That includes direct sticking to us when we jump, leap & teleport.
- all gyros & their blow-up effects are insta-casts

Med-gyro:
10sec uptime, 15sec downtime == 25sec cd
- Heal us periodically for 800 every second
- Heal us & allies for 3k when blown up or timed out / 480 range
toolbelt stays as is

Purge-gyro:
12sec uptime, 13sec downtime == 25sec cd
- Clean 2 condis every 3 seconds
- Stunbreak & AoE transmute 3 condis on us & allies when blown up or timed out / 480 range
toolbelt stays as is

Shredder gyro:
10sec uptime, 20sec downtime == 30sec cd
- whirlfinish fields that we move trough and tick low melee dmg / 180 range
- Explode in a cloud of whirling scrap that deals medium AoE-dmg & dazes when blown up or timed out / 480 range
toolbelt stays as is

Bulwark gyro:
15sec uptime, 25sec downtime == 40sec cd
- AoE-buffs protection for us & allies every 3sec / 480 range
- Stunbreaks & AoE-buff 50% dmg reduction for 3 seconds when blown up or timed out / 480 range
toolbelt stays as is

Blast gyro:
15sec uptime, 15sec downtime == 30sec cd
AoE-buffs 150 power + fury for us & allies every 3 seconds / 480 range
AoE-knockbacks enemies, deals medium dmg & blast-finishes when blown up or timed out / 480 range
toolbelt stays as is

Sneak gyro:
12sec uptime, 48sec downtime == 60sec cd
-AoE buff stealth for 3sec every 3sec for us & allies / 480 range
-Buff stealth for 10sec for us when blown up or timed out / 480 range

Special notes on the sneak gyro:
- It is permanently revealed & still orbiting the player, so constantly giving away the engis position for other players. It will not aggro NPC’s
- It’s meant as group-support, to either allow safe-stomps & rezzes by allies, or get people to places so they can focus their fire, while drawing attention to the only remaining visible target on the field: us
- skillful play can include to activate it from behind walls / other obstruction to confuse enemies
- the last 10sec stealth are the solo elite part, that can be activated in opportune moments to get rid of all the subsequent AoE-hate from enemies, but also serves as replaced functionality if no allies is around & you simply want to get away / break LoS.

Class-mechanic, function gyro (renamed into emergency gyro):
30sec cd
-Automatically spawns a invulnerable gyro that moves to the closest downed ally (also can be ourselves) and starts rezzing. Blows itself up & AoE-heals for 3k in 480 range upon successful revival / if the target dies / after 15sec. Checks for downed allies once per second in a 480 range, only if the engineer is still in combat.

Trait changes:

- [Stabilization core] triggers on all gyros / 10sec ICD
- [Impact savant] influences daze
- [Final salvo] also triggers on gyro-timeouts & applies 1sec of AoE-daze to enemies in a 240 range.

yea.. id take that without any complains cause this is relyable and usefull 10\10 Ireno look at this

So..now that my rage turned into a mix of despair and utter dissapointment im pretty sure i can give a proper review.

First off i want to ask why drones are A.I. ? Why not upkeep skills with drone visuals and a fuel bar as mechanic like the rev got with energy? Why not mantras with drone visuals that show a drone once charged? Signets that show a drone if passive and turn it to a minion if active? Anything else but more a.i. that is as unrelyable as it can get? They cant even keep up with the FRONTLINE BRUISER AND RATHER MOBILE MELEE USING scrapper to go into melee range…or even jog cause not even thats in their movement budget. Why do they try to attack the enemie rather then protect their master with their functions? Why is even anything?!

That out of the way.. lets start with the hammer.

- AA chain: Slow and sluggish..sure its a hammer but deam why is it sooo slow?
whats with the aftercast? And why are the DPS in fullzerk armor with 25 stacks
of might weaker then the bomb AA?

- 2 : Does what it should do and is pretty darn good.. just needs some faster cast
DPS are fine imo.. is more a defensive thing anyways

- 3: As a gap closer? Ehhhh… i guess it works IF there is nothing near the location of
where you want to go. Doesnt work proper upstairs, loves to gravitate towards
anything attackable in between you and your target (even ambient creatures)
If you want to use it to burst something down you can be certain that atleast
1 hit wont connect… also it got me killed quite a lot. Should just jump in place
if you are in range of the target…sorta like heartseeker does. 3rd leap should be
changed to a blast finisher. DPS are perfect on this one.

-4: Works, blocks infront of you, damage is good…but i felt it was a tiny bit too short for
that high CD…might just be me though

-5: Awesome, no complains…cept maybe the CD.. a little less would do.. maybe on trait

Skills…

Medic: It does whatever it wants cept to heal its master, if i would need to choose
to use this or the antitoxin spray for the rest of my playtime i would go for the spray.
Its slow, dies way too fast and its pulses are not worth it. Toolbelt is awesome though
but before i got a bad heal like this i rather never use it at all anymore.

Purge: I got the E-gun.. it does everything the purge does… just better, this one is a failure if i ever saw one. Should be imo merged with the medic and DUCKTAPED to
the scrappers back to stay near its master to do its darn job. Unrelyable if i ever saw unrelyable. Toolbelt got its use… but then again there is the mortar kit…and its toolbelt.

Shredder: It doesnt move what makes it the best of all, it does exactly what it should do and that can tear slow or immobile enemies to shreds…if you supply it with combo fields to dance on of course. Toolbelt is awesome.. but why this thing even got a health bar is beyond me. And dont come with counterplay.. it cant move.. you CAN move away from it easily.

Blast: Well it works for some odd reason the best with pathing. It flys to where its marker goes and nukes itself…well the devil of this thing lay in the numbers cause i do feel its pretty darn weak and why isnt it a blast finisher? Its name pretty much suggests it is. Toolbelt is usefull.. but short.

Sneak: I got no idea who thought it would be a good idea to make this gyro the leader of the anti scrapper rebellion but its a traitor. Its almost like it was programmed to handicap the scrapper in all ways possible. Its slow and got bad pathing what makes it impossible to run with it to combat, it charges enemies that hit it and leave the scrapper behind AND it takes right away all other active gyros on its crusade to infringe the personal space of everything that dares to attack it…what leaves the scrapper behind alone.

Mechanic….

This is a kittenup if i ever saw it. It rarely works, its unrelyable, it got an insane long cooldown, the function gyro gets confused easily and it takes way longer then to do it by hand.. and NO WAY to even turn it off. Also the rezzing function is a gamble.. cause it often doesnt work either. Rather give me no mechanic rather then this nonsence. That stuff feels like an invention trait rather then a mechanic.. and TWO MINOR TRAITS are needed for that BS? Yea.. right… thanks Ireno.. wouldnt want anything nice for once. Why dont you come over and right away beat me with a brass knuckle or a stun gun… is for sure less painfull then this new “mechanic”. Utterly dissapointed in this … also no wonder it wasnt shown on the stream, i guess it wasnt working back then either. This needs a complete rework and i mean COMPLETE. Check the topics with the suggestions for new mechanics… any of these would do.

Traits….

All the minors are pretty useless.. yea.. even the mechanic one and the one that trys to “spice up” the mechanic… but lets go over them in detail.

- Function gyro: 30 sec CD for that unrelyable nonsence? Make it a random invention
trait and nobody would be the wiser.. this mechanic is not on par with any other
spec mechanic in game.. ESPECIALLY not with the druid one that was also made by
you and your team ireno. Thats a big ouch…

- Decisive Renown: This should be merged with the…“mechanic” trait to make it worth
atleast something

- Impact savant: So yea.. engineer got 2 stuns, shield and hammer… and there we go.
Why would anybody slot that if they would have a choice.. what they dont. This
would make a pretty darn epic mesmer trait though.

- Shocking speed: This should be the 2nd minor…

- Stabilisation Core: Another trait arround the “mechanic” that needs two rather
specific things to happen? Why doesnt this work on all gyros on a short ICD?
Ah right.. cause it would be nice.. nevermind.. carry on.

- Recovery Matrix: Good trait, no complains, really usefull for tanky builds

- Rapid Regeneration: Good trait

- Expert Examination: Good trait, cause it works with dazes.. unlike impact savant

- Mass momentum: Good trait, allows for more tanky setups without loosing too much
power, works with juggernaut and perfectly weighted whats a good thing

- Adaptive armor: Thats how you make a grandmaster… no complains

- Final salvo: Should be a minor imo… cause that way the gyros would atleast serve a
purpose if they get destroyed without the need to trait for it.. and lets face it.. they
WILL die easily.

- Perfectly weighted: Good trait.. even if i personally miss some flavour.. i dunno what
flavour though.

That would be my feedback… I only wanted something nice for once… atleast one time in my time as engineer main. Something that makes people WANT me in their groups cause i can do something others cannot… appreciation in wvw for beeing there and pve without having constantly the fear to get replaced by a guard or ele. This spec certainly wont grant me my wish… and who is gonna need this nonsence in a raid? Nobody… so yea back to solo… was a nice pipe dream to hear “yay we got an engi”…but alas… its not meant to be..

In fact gyros got a hive mind.. and the sneak is the nexus. If the sneak gets annoyed and wants to lay the smack down all other gyros you got out follow it… cause isnt like the engi would need em or something. God just stick them directly on the engi as visual effect and call it a day. Then they atleast work

I want to say, I do not think Anet heard us, we asked not to have AI and we explained why , with relevant points for the elite spec, and we got the AI affected by the relevant points described. It is an underwhelming mechanic at any levels.
Moreover the traits affect mainly the utilities (gyros). Bugs are still here…

So I do not think we will get love until 2/3 months after release, and it makes me sad.

love heh… oh ireno poured out a lot of love for his two specs… thing is we got 5% and the druid 195%.

Gyros unreliable? First two minors not worth it?

Must…resist…. mustn’t say…told you so

No need to.. everybody knew it would happen, there was just a sort of… denial going on. Everybody wanted em to be good, cool and relyable cause many people just wanted to have their engineers go on another level… and not faceplant with a concrete slap on the back into a cactus field grown over a mine field that houses mega hornets armed with rusty chainsaws. Im honestly sitting here right now staring at the screen, refreshing the forum all few minutes and think about how to give my feedback without to throw something through the room or start crying like a little girl… and im not even joking. Just wanted to have a nice thing for once… Is that so much to ask for as engineer?

Scrapper shows me clearly that “busy with druid” should be our new motto….cause druid works..scrapper does not. The gyros fit right into the theme though they often wander off and leave you there… betrayed. Got a similar feeling about the entire spec right now.. utter betrayal.

Waited one year for something that makes people appreciate me in groups rather then just kick me to make space for another guard or darn ele cause they do what i do much better. A reason to be welcomed in a wvw zerg…but nope the drones cant even keep up with a darn zerg…or a scrapper that just runs at a reasonable pace.

Only the hammer is sorta good.. and even that needs tweaking. I think i saw enough… back to soloing everything.. my rifle..bombs and e-gun. Nobody is gonna need THAT in raids either… so why bother. Shame for the juggernaut.. but maybe i can use it some day on something else…or sell it

So… lets get this out.

Had now 2 hours of time to test the spec. Long enough to give some feedback. Ill keep testing tomorrow.. for today im too salty and angry to keep going

The gyros are WAY too slow. They cant keep up with the scrapper whatsoever…so basically the thing that should aid the scrapper in melee cant keep up with the scrapper going into the range to do said melee. Bulwark seems to LOVE to run from the scrapper as far as possible and medic and purge often take breaks to ponder about their life decisions… i do belive purge even thought for a moment to build a hobby basement and get a midlife crisis…dont quote me on that though. Blast is afraid of blasting and likes to take its sweet time to nuke itself. Also such high cooldowns for these squishy things? Really? Why? I should get 2 of them with each cooldown to pay off. And stealth doesnt stealth another stealth…would be too nice to have that…

The mechanic is frankly useless…sorry to say. Not even in a 1vs1 the function gyro can kill a downed player effective…and i did a test with a buddy who let himself get downed on purpose to get stomped by the gyro while trying to fight back. The gyro managed to do it 1 out of 10 attempts…the other 9 it got destroyed or didnt do anything. So basically the very situation based mechanic doesnt even do its job proper in said situations…quite salty about that mess… in fact a bit hurt actually.

so yea.. small feedback so far:

Hammer: Awesome.. just awesome. I sorta feel it needs a blast finisher though.. but that could be just me.

Gyros: They cant keep up with a scrapper in any case… cept you walk.

Also the double sneak gyro theory doesnt work.. they dont stealth eachother.. just throwing that in

but then again… they show of what the specs do, the skills, traits and weapons, the mechanic and what not. Thats atm the important part and in HotM everything is controlled. You see how skills act against the armor classes and clusters of individuals. Also i do believe a complete new costumer will most likely care about everything else but a spec he cant even use till lvl 80…well not saying he\she wont care…but specs are shown off and made for players who already play the game a while and look to put a new twist into their chars and have some understanding of what they are dealing with here…or have a reason to play classes they didnt like before (sorta what happened with me and the reaper). Believe me if i tell you that the last i wast paying attention to in the spec streams was how dull HotM looks… though yea.. for promotion i really would have liked to have these clips they had for DH, chrono and reaper…but alas.. there we are 26 days away from HoT.

The mistward armor is perfect on charr… but from what i saw with the specialisation armor pieces.. and especially the scrapper helmet its pretty darn save to say that the mistward only looks good cause they needed a pretty charr for the trailer. :\

Always remember.. NEVER EVER get your hopes up that new armor looks good on charr…

What i look for? A massive kick in my rear for once, challenge and sweaty and shaky hands. A fight where everything can go horrible wrong any second…and where you dont run up to the lootbox once its over and click the exit instance button right away… nope.. you walk to it to claim what you deserve, dance on the corpse of the fallen boss, pose with it and celebrate and then wear the enemie´s skin as a trophy….ehhh well their items they drop, good enough for me. Basically i want that feel back that i had waaay back then where i overcame my personal limit and skill. The first solo on a champ… beating liadri the concealing dark, fighting lupicus solo and defeating it… so many awesome memories. And this time i can experience it with my guild and friends, already looking forward to it.

Scrapper: 99% of my time i play engi.. so yea
Reaper : pretty darn obvios…
Dragonhu- nah.. jk. Druid, finally a reason to make a ranger

As for the rest.. i surely gonna check em out and enjoy most of them.. cept tempest and dragon hunter… those 2 are pathetic compared to the others

Corrupted data. I don’t have the original source of that info, it was just said on reddit, so I don’t know if it was corrupted character data or account data. I’m sure they want you to be able to continue leveling your masteries, so if they could save that data, they would.

This might not be the case, they said you would be able to continue leveling your masteries, but that was before the wipe. It might just have been the characters that was wiped, or it might have been the whole cloned account.

Scrapper Mechanic Needs Reworked

simple fix… make the function gyros act on the targeted thing.

Downed allies: Rez
Allies: Superspeed and protection before exploding
Downed enemies: Stomp
Enemies: Blast gyro like attack without knockback but with daze and a lightning field.

Make em recharge overtime and give us 3 of these things that show up one by one once their “production ICD” is over. Give the “F” activation a low ICD of 10 secs and done. Dont make the dormant function gyros attackable and only give em health bars if you activate one. Thats my take on the thing….sorta like a multi purpose, self recharging minion mantra…if that makes sence. That way they got some us in all game modes and dont loose their intendet purpose…

Also merge the 1st and 2nd minor trait and add a new trait that gives you benefits on how many dormant function gyros the scrapper got swarming arround him\her. This way you got sort of a thing going on where you need to sacrifice your own benefits for the services of the gyros…maybe like:

1 gyro: pulsing speed
2 gyro: pulsing speed and slight damage reduction
3 gyro: pulsing speed, slight damage reduction and slight damage buff

but what do i know..

also for visual eye candy and some indicator that the ICD is over 3 orbs over the stamina bar that show how many dormant gyros are available.

Greyed out orb: Gyro isnt available atm, cause it still gets produced
Coloured orb: Shows that a gyro is available, the more coloured orbs the more gyros
Shiny Coloured orb: Gyro is available for duty and can be deployed with “F”

So yea.. thats my idea how to salvage this certain trainwreck of a mechanic..

Well that WE care is out of question… but if they care is a different song. Anyways.. ill test the scrapper in high level fractals.. prepared enough infused ascended thingies to do so and given that they deleted the past beta chars its most likely a given they re-set the banks too, and the new content including raids. I got the very strong feeling that this isnt gonna be the magnum opus of pve specs… but then again.. busy with druid amirite?

Mine is easy… The “engineer a-net gives a darn about”. Basically the same like a regular engineer just with proper balance, bugfixes and specialisations that take all 3 game modes in account, nice looking visuals and a few armors fitting for the profession. But alas.. “busy with druid” seems to be the new slogan for the engineer forums.

I think those should be added to the cultural armorsmiths tbh :/

no no… wouldnt want to have charr with form fitting armor and especially headgear and hoods or norn with access to a bunch of norn-ish spirit themed armors..or more plant nonsence for the plant nonsence and more casual asuran and human clothes cause they seem to clearly hate having that stuff arround.

my minds about the heal skills…

Medic gyro: BAHAHA! Riiiight, like id slot that over the HT with its 20 sec CD, massive spike heal, huge water field, condition removal AND another very short but blast-able water field. The gyro isnt relyable enough to survive the whole duration..and its CD starts when it dies..and NOT when its deployed. The toolbelt on the other hand is pretty darn epic.. but its not worth to slot the gyro for that…not like it is now.

Elixir-H: Very good in HGH or alchemy in general related builds, relyable and a random helpfull boon ontop of it. Stacks might if traited, removes a condi if traited and got reduced cooldown. Very good and solid heal that never lets you down and doesnt share the weakness of the HT to be a squishy kitten and might be destroyed before you can nuke it..what happened a lot to me in the past. I use it a lot myself in wvw roaming…and even sometimes high level fractals if i dont need to worry too much about group heal, depends on the grouping mostly.

A.E.D: A tricky kitten that can backfire horrible…or give you an awesome safe from certain doom. I personally dont trust it enough to use it.. but i saw some MLG moments with this thing..also stun on toolbelt? Yes please…but not for me, maybe on the scrapper though.. gotta test it proper. Timing is key at this thing and you bet all your chips on one colour if you use it.

Healing turret: If jesus would be a machine he would be the darn healing turret…lets leave it at this. One of the few nice things we got that actually can outmatch something other classes got…and now that i said it they gonna nerf it..i know it…well they did with the turret nerf but im sure they can be creative with it..wouldnt be the first time. That salt aside (that i currently cant turn off for real, sorry about that).. its only real weakness is bad timing, very squishy and easy to 1 shot so gotta take a bit care at using it..specially in fractals where many things can 1 shot it.

Med kit: They should add a sad violin song if you equip it…its just not good…and to fix it would mean to re-work it completely…cept the visuals.. that syringe fist is awesome. Guys.. re-work it, make it awesome…so sad to see it like this.

they should make 2 to 5 tether to allies and pulse their effects to all in range and 1 does its usual conic aoe and a normal aoe arround the engi that does the same.. just reduced effect. And toolbelt should drop 2 med kits near the engi.. then it would be worth it anytime

Im personally disgruntled about the scrapper stuff CEPT the hammer.. no bad word about that bad boy. It feels like Ireno started the scrapper with the hammer and put in a ton of effort and thought into it…and then tossed it aside to make the druid. Not like rangers dont deserve nice things.. but it clearly shows Ireno knows to the point what he does. The spec got no bad trait, the skills work together with the mechanic, the mechanic is something amazing on its own too, the staff is well thought out AND ontop of that a batch of fresh and pretty darn cool ranger pets just to drive the point home. This spec is clearly useable and usefull in all game modes and gives rangers something they didnt had before. And it also is top notch in visuals.. look at the darn celestial shroud thingy.. i mean OMG that is pretty as hell.

Meanwhile the scrapper mechanic feels just like a grandmaster trait…if somebody would put the function gyro into the invention line as a trait nobody would be the wiser. Also the mechanic itself is extremely lackluster for wvw and pve…it surely will have uses in pvp…but how many i dont want to know. Saver to stomp an enemie with the “classic” ways engineers do…cause they might destroy the gyro before it does its job and goes on a 30 second cooldown and rally or something..but i dont pvp so i keep my opinions short on that. The skills are A.I… something the engi already got in form of (now quite useless) turrets and they are destructable and pretty glassy for a spec thats meant to go full on melee. Also most gyros are underwhelming effect wise ontop of that and got insane long cooldowns.. so yea..

Engi can already be a pretty heavy healer…was better back then with healing bombs but still engineers can\could pull off a dedicated healing build without much issues..even more so with the upcoming balance patch where the healing turret scales with healing power. Also you got the e-gun with its group condi cleanse and heal and another 2 water fields to your disposal and traits to deal pretty good with conditions on you and your team…so blast away.

War and thief are from a design standpoint more fighters then medics

Necro.. ehhh.. sorta does the opposide of helping people to life…but there are wonderfull ways to play with conditions and traits to keep team members from loosing health in downed state and even porting them over to you when in downed state..so thats that

Revenant got an entire legend based arround healing and avoiding incoming damage alone

Mesmer… ehh.. dunno much what to do there but im sure somebody does it in some way shape or form and pulls it off.

and the ranger.. who now with the druid got the magnum opus of healing to their disposal… so yea there ARE healers in game if you want to make a healer on other classes but rangers.

you may say that, but they created none of the engineer’s tech.

Actually most asura dont even understand how a combustion engine in a charr tank or a clockwork in a turret works…what doesnt make em stupid of course by all means. It in fact baffles many asura that it even works in the first place. Their tech is magitech rather then what the engineer class uses. Turrets, flamethrowers, mines and other explosives, bullets ,elixirs and other gadgets where developed by charr and charr are also the inventors or pioneers of most of the non magical technology arround. Tanks, airships, helicopters, submarines, mortars and other on explosives based siege weapons, printing presses, grammophones (yea also they are in the game, check ascalon´s devourer breeding pit, you use em to distract fem-devourers from their nests to steal their eggs), firearms in general where refined and still are refined by them aswell. Meanwhile holograms, golems, hovering platforms, portals, the waypoint system and stuff are indeed to the greatest parts magical…in a way that makes it look like sci fi technology. The closest engineer technology that got used in game so far that does involve asuran magitech would be the creations of scarlet that combined magic with technology like she combined weird alliances… and pact stuff of course, each race got their best mixed into those thingies and maybe the gyros of the scrapper.. but then again the spec is based on charr stuff too.. so really dunno where to put them, well time will tell. Given that it took the charr just 200 years to go from tribal to industrial i would say charr are the master race of engineering while asuras are clearly the masters of the arcane and magitech and they can do some crazy stuff with that…time travel, sentient walking pieces of rock (golems), tearing reality itself apart, instant teleporting and so much more.

Well.. but it boils down to personal taste and everybody makes his\her own story

Snowblind for me. Not much stability options on an engi and its pretty darn hectic fighting the adds, dodging their really painfull attacks, dodging the knockbacks and lighting the fire that you dont freeze to death AND then run through a snowstorm that may or may not aggro more mobs WHILE fighting the darn boss. Im all for multitasking but that sometimes becomes too much to handle, specially on higher levels. Eh.. i guess with the upcoming scrapper my issues should be fixed with snowblind.. but still F that fractal

Turns out the flamethrower the bandit boss in the raids trailer was holding is actually a rifle skin so no new kit skins for flamethrower and EG.

atleast a nice engi backpiece and rifle skin… thats more then i expected for engi themed armory

Being able to put a skin on my flamethrower kit would be a much welcomed change.

…id settle with kit visuals on this level… but im pretty sure that this is NPC exclusive.. like all nice engineer like things..wouldnt want to have too pretty engineers arround now would we..

the balance update isnt gonna give us the 95% extra love the druid got instead of the scrapper though… So many nice things…new pets, awesome visuals, a mechanic that does so many nice things and even the skills react to said mechanic and the staff of course…equally kitten. What do we get? 30 sec rez\stomp drone thats outside of pvp not really all that usefull and even IN pvp it wont be the game changer cause it most likely gonna get killed before it does its job, a handfull of gyro skills that are bound to become turrets 2.0 cause they just scream to cleave damage their squishy kitten together with the scrapper… and a hammer… thats pretty darn cool but sadly the only real cool thing about the entire spec. Ah yea.. and 2 minors alone for the mechanic… wouldnt want anything for all game modes… Just curios what the balancing gonna do… gonna reduce the mortar another 28% to compensate for the buff you gave it?… Yea my salt is dead sea levels right now…dont care

Comparing it to Toss elixir R, I’m unimpressed:

Pros for Function Gyro:

  • No utility slot taken
  • A bit les cooldown
  • Traitable for stability

Pros for Toss Elixir R:

  • Indestructable
  • 1200 range over 750
  • Can res yourself if used skillfully
  • AoE so it can res multiple players
  • Removes conditions
  • Can be used up close
  • Can be traited for more condi removal, longer durration, might and cooldown reduction.

And fills your dodge rolls up too right away and removes immob in any case to get the hell out of danger…whats a really good thing…and that all on a 30 sec CD…well 60 for the toolbelt but whatever. Also its a light field too.

druid can remove ALL his darn conditions just by going into his celestial form…

And this on an adept trait!

Primal Echoes – Reduces recharge staff skills by 20% and daze enemies around you when you swap to staff.
AoE-Daze + -20% cd an adept trait. Scrapper doesn’t even has a cd reduction and the hammer trait is a GM!

Druid’s trait line looks like it’s overflowing with great traits, the two mentioned adept traits look better than some other professions GM traits…

Ranger deserves an awesome specialization after 3 years of suffering, but as Scrapper I’m feeling left behind with our useless spirit weapons aka Gyros and 30s one trick mechanic.

I really hope the deves will focus on us and our lackluster Gyros, since Druid is revealed now and seems pretty finished.

Well of course rangers deserve nice things.. im the last who would deny em that… its just that Irenio seems to have forgotten that scrappers are there too. Look at the visuals with celestial stuff.. look at the skills, traits…just look at the new pets.. kittenING WYVERNS and pets that can render conditions against themselfes completely useless, turning projectiles to heals,a gap closer\opener with a blast finisher… massive lockdown i mean omg! This even beats the chrono for me. Support like this is insane…and just imagine what you can do if you mix that up with some more power centric traits and weapon sets. Heck even the signets change if you are in your mechanic! Everything works together so perfectly…i even dare to claim its flawless. Its gonna be close to impossible to die nearby a druid.

Who gonna even need our mechanic…who even gonna need scrappers..
But atleast we fit our name now.. low ranked trash crews…

I want more selfish Gyros.

Scrappers are supposed to be downtroden and would first care about themselves then about others since society rejected them.

I dislike our gyros how weak they are and uninspired/boring. Most disappointed with elite gyro.

And Purge Gyro simply sucks compared to all druid stuff and all.
Purge Gyro interval 3s so during 15s he can remove max 10 conditions. Ventari’s cleanse can remove 5×2 condis on skill use. Druid even more.

Wth is with out cooldowns?

druid can remove ALL his darn conditions just by going into his celestial form…

and revenant only 1 condition by switching legend and only with a trait xDDD

dont make it worse else i might really gonna cry now XD
