“1-4 exotics per 2.5 hours” – is this just me – or is this just a liddle bit too high for a single player droprate ? If i remember correctly, my droprate would be 1 exotic per 5-8h.
Exotics .. i think my droprate of exotics is more like 1 every 1000 hours at least when i count only what was dropped directly from mobs in the open world.
Most exotics in the last time i got from opening chests when i collect empyrial fragments.
Best MMOs are the ones that never make it. Therefore Stargate Online wins.
MF doesn’t affect chest loot, so running world events says nothing about MF. You should better just masskill normal mobs.
Best MMOs are the ones that never make it. Therefore Stargate Online wins.
What also most people don’t know is that in Phase 1 when you can attack Claw, you should use your melee weapons between his Head and Claw, because then you do double damage.

Do you like the concept?
No .. total different kind of game / genre.

I was thinking of bringing up the argument about having the day/night cycle match the actual, IRL one.
That is one of the worst ideas ever .. since then people who work would only be able to play in the night all the time besides maybe at weekends.

So Tyria will have thousands of Kings and everyone of them has armys of thousands of men ?
Would be funny if 100 Kings with 100.000 soldiers would go to kill Jormags Claw ..
This is NOT a single player game .. so how should that work .. and what has that really to do with game ?

We can expect the new Guild “WTS” will spam in every thread how easy it is to join WTS to kill him .. thats all i really expect.

A dev mentioned the possibility of player housing. I’d like to say this addition would be amazing, if you do it correctly. This would add extra end-game activities and distractions while people aare in the leveling process.!!!!!!
ArenaNet, make it happen!!
I hope if housing is implemented it is been done in a fun way, where we can craft our furniture and get items from quests that can be put in our house .. and not that its just something like in Runes of Magic where they only sold us housing items via Cash-Shop.
I would really encourage the devs to take a look at the housing in Everquest 2 .. something like that is what i really dream of

In a group, say the champ train in Queens, at level 40 in green/yellow gear, my guard, who is not a zerker spec, more balanced, already was dealing more damage than my condition spec necro who’s at 80 with will exo/asc gear if running the same content. Running solo, or WvW, my necro is awesome. Not so much in groups.
In Queensdale you do nearly the same damage with knights gear than with berserker since crit-damage scales down, crit-chance however not.

So I’ve been playing a Ranger pretty steady for about a month.
In any MMO I’ve played Rangers have always been my favorite class, ever since everquest and everquest 2. I love the whole woodsman/outdoorish archer class. I’ve never had any issues with the play style and I love archery.Guild Wars 2 however seems to hate Rangers and have passed this on to the players of GW2. Especially the elitists and their extreme narcissism.
Don’t know how the actual state of Rangers in EQ2 is these days, but when i played (until RoK) everybody there also thought tha SOE hates Rangers.
All the problems we had there with arrows alone .. then that we needed to manually change weapons in melee range .. and we didn’t even had pets to tank for us.

Tequatl is a whole different kind, since the revamp of the event forces people directy to go for overflows or guest on high populated servers. If you are annoyed by that, vote also for a reverse of that event to the old state or at least to make it scale.
Else i personally do Jormag or Shatterer now and then on Desolation, and i only see a problem with that on Weekends that there are overflows especially at Jormag. I also did the champ train there sometimes later at night, and never saw a problem with aggressive people.
For the french people .. you know that Desolation is multi-lingual ? So they may even be regular players from your server.

I can attest to this. I remember the early videos highlighting night and day in GW2 and being absolutely stoked about this visual mechanic.
A bit darker would signify that it’s actually night time.
But to go even further with this, I would love to see the following:
- A variation of creatures from night to day, such as ghouls and goons (well maybe not goons), bats, trolls, etc.
- Weapons such as torches being an advantage at night, or weapons with light affects.
And here the problems begin :
Personally, and i think i’m not alone, i think Trolls and Bats are really annoying mobs, so 1. will be a change that may just annoy a lot of players and make them feel forced to play at other times, or maybe guest on other servers if they maybe have another Nighttime or whatever.
2. Happily i have Jormags Breath on one of my Warriors so i can play without Torches, but everyone else can ofc also spend 100 Golds to make that weapon to have a better gameplay at night.

I remembered each day of the week in FF11 is based on an element, and skills related to those elements get bonuses
They also had bosses there that needed 30+ hours to get killed or whatever .. so we really need more ideas implemented from that game.

What wouldn’t be liked would to be force darkness on everyone, and you also now that because you suspected that most players would just use the slider to avoid the darkness.
So instead you say : I know noone wants the darkness, so don’t give them the option to turn it off.
Next forbid monitors where you can change the gamma settings .. or lets programm games just in one color : black .. then no setting will help you

Ascended cooking would be the most silly move in the history of gw2. Say “no” to ascended cooking!
Just wait for Legandary cooking .. 2000g for a piece of food where you can select the stats and that makes you glow and give you footsteps for 30 minutes

Everything thats making this game look nicer isn’t wasted.
Also, like I said, it wouldn’t be too hard to implement and, like you can see at this threat, there is a huge demand.Your suggestion is gamechanging, therefore it has to be balanced and tested.
I… I didn’t realize you were threatening me.
Kidding, of course. It would be wasted (imo) because it wouldn’t be used except by maybe a handful of people, and it’s questionable if they’d keep it full time.
So you want to force however something on all players where you self think that most of them wouldn’t like it at all ?

They can add you without your permission and track your activity Morrigan .
They can’t track you .. they only see where you are if you also have added them as friend.
In the end its not more as if they list your name on a piece of paper or a notpad.txt files.

Lineage 2 and Aion have REALLY good duel system – especially Aion
Aion was just ganking without end 6 months after release .. i quit the game since i wasn’t able to level anymore without beeing constanly ganked.
Lineage had at least the karma system to stop ganking.

People wanted weather in EQ2, when they added it mostly it was just depressing rainy weather. Also i played in Lotro while it was raining for over 1 hour and had really headaches after that. And then there was that Snowstorm in Lotro where i couldn’t see my own feet .. of course mobs had mo problem to see and attack me.
All in all these things were always just plain annoying, so i say thanks but no.
So, you get hit with a snow storm, and enemies, who live and grew up in that climate, have no problem seeing you? How is that any different from a Cat being able to see better than you at night?
Its a game .. a game for me should be fun .. and it was NO FUN to run around in a mess like this for me :

I really can’t wrap my head around the idea that people are opposed to consensual dueling in the open world. Just click “No.”
Or heck, make it a toggle on the Hero page. “Allow Dueling? Y/N.” That way these folks wouldn’t even be bothered with having to decline duels.
The problem is, that Duel-Spammer don’t accept a “No” .. so you get a popup in the middle of a fight and have to click “no” just to get the next popup 1-2 seconds later, and that normally 3-4 times at least in a row.
Its just another instruments for idiots to harass people when they can’t directly gank them with open PvP.
Best MMOs are the ones that never make it. Therefore Stargate Online wins.
Edgar, the “placed in an instanced area” is, to me, the ideal form of dueling, were it to exist. You’ll find that most of the people asking for dueling are against that though.
The only reason for it to not be instanced would be for duelists to feel good for ganking newbs, that is, either trolling or showing off. Neither one is a behaviour I’d wish to encourage in the community.
Yea I guess that’s true, but the sole perpose of dueling is to try builds, having fun while waiting, train for oncomming dangers and so on. So an instanced area would do well if it where possible to achieve, it would be what the real duelists be asking for. Ganker/greifers/people who needs a false ego boost dueling low levels can go play WoW or other games with open PvP.
If it be possible. Adding a way for others to be invited by duelers to spectate and look at traits and so on, just like in sPvP. (Both participants must accept every invited spectator)
I would like that.
I have no problems with instanced 1 vs. 1 areas, but i’m totally against anything in the open world where idiots will spam you with duel-requests while you fight mobs and don’t understand when you decline and so spam you 3-4 time at least.

The removal of the Personal Story forum feels like the official death of the personal story system in GW2. Is there a better place to discuss the personal stories or is its removal our indication that no more personal story will ever be added?
I just thought the same of the Dynamic Events Forum
Where should that be discussed now ?

Offtopic .. but .. has anyone else “Carry on my Wayward Son” in the ear when reading "The Story so far .. " ?
I know, right? After so many seasons of Supernatural, even if the new ones don’t have this song any more, I still hear it.
The song is always in the last episode of a season, and it was still in the last of Season 8

Also, too many zones look exactly the same and there’s not a lot of variety to the wildlife and mobs.
Thats also one of the few problems i have .. sometimes i really would love to see a little more “colorful” zones like in Aion or Tera.
And of course more options in the character editor .. the sliders not really make that big difference. Aion was much better and i still like the editor frpm Perfect World the most were i was not bound to templates and could also save/load settings.

For making items accountbound from soulbound there are already the tricks with transmution-cristals or with the splitter for Legendarys.
I think the OP wants to unbind items so he can sell them in the TP.

There used to be tons of people in Orr and it was easy to find groups, but then ANet drastically nerfed loot (Most notably from temple chests) and changed events, making them essentially unfarmable. At least now you have the one a day reward for temples.
What’s wrong with Orr? ANet screwed it up so the reward in no way reflects the effort, so no one goes there anymore. There are easier and faster ways to make money in this game and when you need such vast quantities of money anything that is easier will draw the majority.
Of course they nerfed it because people in the forums were constantly crying that Orr is to easy and you can “faceroll” everything “brain-afk” .. and everything must ne “hardmode” .. and all that stuff
Maybe people should learn to say : “no its perfect, i don’t want hardmode farming” when they like something and others are crying for nerfs just to show the developers that its not the majority that wants nerfs.

Because hard=more annoying.
At least as soon if you need to farm content. Hard is fine maybe for the very first time, but as soon as you need to repeat content again and again it started to gets only annoying if mobs are bags of hitpoints, have oneshot hits every now and then and cripple and disable you all the time or whatever.

You have maybe 30% free of your total memory that is maybe around 3,7 GB .. however like i said before GW2 can only use 2 GB minus Video-Memory .. so it will crash when it needs around 1,7 gb ..
The only REAL solution is to upgrade to 64-Bit, since even older MMOs like AoC or Lotro already had that problem, and future MMOs will also maybe have it.
Else you can just turn down all your settings and maybe even use a lower screen resolution.
