A-yup. EU event trackers broken again. How about we get a fix to this soon? The matter is all the more dire as the world boss/temple events are the only way of reliably farming Dragonite Ore.
Yeah .. especially the last 2 days all the shown events on d2stuff.com were totally wrong at least in the evening when most people played. It worked better later at night but doing Jormag at 3:00 or 4:00 is not that easy.
Best MMOs are the ones that never make it. Therefore Stargate Online wins.
the overflow for tequatl is probably because people know they won’t be getting easy kills when the new patch hits on him anymore.
“do it while it last”
If its not for the Dragonite they also can just ignore him. I at least just wanted to kill him for Dragonite, and i also for example killed Jormag 5 times on friday because of that.
If they make Tequatl harder, i can just imagine even more people go for Jormag.
Best MMOs are the ones that never make it. Therefore Stargate Online wins.
The reason for the overflows is more the Dragonite i think, since today there are also overflows on Drakkar Lake for example, while i had no problems on Friday even on Elona Reach with a champ-zerg running around.
Also there was overflow for Tequatl .. and i don’t think there are so much Champ-Farmer in that zone.

So ever since Ascended stuff came out everyone’s been screaming that the game turned into a huge grind. So…… where is that grind?
On paper, Ascended stuff looks like a hugeass list of mats to put on your to-grind list but if you just look at what it actually is, it’s basically stuff you get from playing any of the major contents of the game. Comparing it to a grind is like saying every Zelda game is a grind for pieces of the Triforce/whatever else is in its place.
There is a very subtle difference between a grind and not giving it to you on a silver platter.
You have to look at the bigger picture .. not only ONE Weapon, but maybe 3 weapons and 6 pieces of armor in the next future. Oh and don’t forget people who have a lot alts and/or use more weapons and armorsets with different stats.

The MF bonus from food isn’t working for me, I have 54% MF but when i use a MF food, it doesn’t add to the total.
Anyone having the same issue?
If you use food that gives MF when you have active boons, the value was never shown in the hero-panel.

In saying you only got “3 times ectos”, do you mean you got at least one ecto as a yield three times, or 3 ectos total? Either way, you’re still close to the low end of the deviation in the sample size of 20 results I have gotten, which is reasonable.
I’ve got 3 times 1 Ecto from salvaging 20 yellow lvl 70+ items with the mystic kit. Salvage 4 more items after i wrote the thread and again not even 1 Ekto.
I’ve now bought again a Master’s Salvage Kit, and the first 3 tries i had 1, 3 and 1 Ectos, so i think i use the Mystic just for trash and buy again better Master Kits.

Hi
The last 2 days i salvaged around 20 yellow items with that kit and i only got 3 times Ectos. Is the kit bugged, or did i have just so bad luck ?

Working as expected, so you can’t camp a character at a JP and log him in once each day to get the reward.

Its always better to ask about gold per hour instead per day, since you can make a lot more if you play 10+ hours than someone who only plays an hour per day.
At the moment i can make around 5-6 gold with harvesting wood and herbs. Changes from patch to patch a little.

Ascended armor and weapons will be account bound and time gated… so no you won’t…
I think i’ve read that the mats you need are accountbound, but you can sell the final product.
Best MMOs are the ones that never make it. Therefore Stargate Online wins.
I have bought all 3 for 4 characters now, however account-bound wouldn’t really help me since i rotate the chars when i go harvesting. The only real solution for account-wide in my eyes is to make them like the achievement-skins so that every character can simply take one if you bought them.

I think dynamic events should reward more silver. I mean what’s the highest amount of money from an event? Like 20 silver? It’s no wonder people prefer to focus on the champs instead who have a chance to reward hundreds of gold worth of stuff.
20 silver ? That would be great .. Events all give the same like 1.20 Silver or so no matter how long they take.

I really think making Longbow a hybrid weapon (giving it a condition) is a bad idea.
Maybe put the stealth onto 4 (Knock back and stealths) and change 3 into a ranged root/slow.
Of course, something like this would be great for pvp/wvw but not pve.
I’d like to see Point Blank Shot get the stealth and become a blast finisher, put vulnerability back on Hunter’s Shot and make Rapid Fire cripple or weaken.
Change Long Ranged Shot from damage variability to crit damage variable. At close range no crit damage, at mid range +5% and at long range +10%.
Leave Barrage alone.
This sounds not that bad, i really like to get rid of the damage scaling on distance for Longbow.
And yes .. leave barrage alone. Only change i would like to see is maybe shorten the cooldown
And Rapid Fire should be 3,5 seconds just like 100 blades.

yes man, you are right … but as i said before i don’t like full zerker builds :<
Mix Zerkers with Knights. If you take Knights armor instead of Zerker the total effective damage difference is around 14%.

Hmm .. personally i only see a damage decrease compared to now where i often directly start with 20 stacks of vulnerability.

With the pvp reqs for monthlies, I’ve never completed one. Oh well I guess….
Uh what? Since when we must do pvp/wvw to finish monthly?
I think that was before they changed the monthly so that we can choose 4 things out of a list. I never completed a monthly before that.

As a result you might be better off mining the gold ore in the zone just south of Lions arch. You only need 30 to trade for 1 box (you can also use the trading point but expect these materials to increase in price as this becomes known).
My tip .. harvest wood in Dredgehaunt Cliffs, and of course also the Gold there. You only need 35 of that wood, and you find much more wood than gold.

And under which criteria gloves are worth less than an helmet or shoulder pads? On token cost for dungeons these pieces are usually worth the same amount.
A lot people don’t show helmet and / or shoulders, so in my eyes its better to get the gloves earlier since more people maybe want them and don’t care about the rest.

Do you all think Divinity’s Reach when you talk about the home instance ? Look at Hoelbrak, the home instance there is not more than Eirs Hut.
That’s not the norn character’s home instance. Norn characters get a large chunk of the the main lodge as their home instance. It’s the place where you meet with the different Orders while you decide which to join.
Ah ok … still small against what we have in Divinity’s Reach. Also i can’t really see something as my home when its a big room with 10 NPCs hanging around.

I bet all the furniture will be ONLY available from gem store, pass no thanks, brah. Never raided in any game so i’ll try that and hopefully it’ll be fun for more than 2-3 runs.
I wouldnt mind if the furniture was only avial in gem store. cosmetic, gemstore..as it should be.
what I dont want are gates to content. They’ve walked a fine line thus far, and wavered a bit with guild missions. Lets see how they do with this.
Make or break for me.
Would’ve been much better if all the furniture/trophies and whatever you’ll be decorating your house with would drop/come from dungeon chests. I really enjoyed this in PSU and no way in hell im exchanging gold for gems at these absolutely stupid prices (its what? 30gems for 1g? wtf…). At the end, if furniture is only available in the gem store i will ignore it completely.
Heh, if it was available only in dungeons I would ignore it completely.
Seems that no matter what they do, someone will ignore them completely.
I repeat myself but i again say, they should make it like in Everquest 2 where you had a Crafter that could make very much furniture of course, and then there were Items you could get from Quest, Mobs and also Dungeons of course.
So a lot of stuff to get for each playstyle.

Eh, I don’t know why people would fear that. Off the top of my head, the most in-depth housing system I’ve ever seen was in EQ2, and FFXI had a decent one also. Both had cities full of people. You’d only invite people in when you wanted to show them your stuff.
I loved the housing in EQ2 und would really like to see something like that here. However in never liked raiding and that is one of the main reasons i’m here.

I would love to buy them, but they are fugly. The light armor set is especially hideous.
If they put up armor sets like Lady Kasmeer’s feathered armor I would buy 5-6 sets of the kitten thing.
Yeah, very much this

All this game ever does is creating gold out of thin air. Every single drop from an enemy is creating items out of thin air, which are then sold to vendors, converting them into gold.
Thats not really correct. Most loot you sell to NPCs are not really worth much. You can play for 3-4 hours and make maybe 50s with that stuff. The most money you can make is with selling crafting mats over the TP and with that the game always removes 15% of the money. So you find maybe a T6 mat that is worth 1s or whatever at the NPC, but you sell it for 30s at the TP and so there is mystically 4,5s less in the game.

Well making a weapon rack bleed is kind of….unreal?
It always looked strange to me when i had poisoned things like weapon crates or cars in Champions Online, but on the other hand its simply fair from a balance view, and who cares really about realism in a Fantasy or Superhero Game ?

Here’s an idea: Heart Tiers, 3 tiers of heart rewards Gold>Platinum>Diamond. Increasing rewards for each tier. Only gold is required for map completion, other tiers take much much longer to fill, but can reward with some nice items.
I already see the new posts in the forums where people cry that Anet “forces” them to grind
Best MMOs are the ones that never make it. Therefore Stargate Online wins.
If GW2 was anything like Rift, I know I would NOT be playing it, and even less giving 20€ or more worth of gems per month to the developers.
There’s some things like housing and mounts that I hope to see in GW2 someday, but other things like raiding that would make me quit immediately. So in other words raiding shouldn’t even be an option for players, and anyone who likes raiding should quit GW2 and/or go die in a ditch.
Seriously? Why do people insist that GW2 must cater to a certain type of audience, why can’t it expand? It’s not as if adding a raid would remove anything that you like in the game, I cannot wrap my head around these utterly selfish ideas.
Because a lot of players started playing GW2 exact for the reason that there is no Raiding and no endless gear grind. Also there are so many other games that cater to the raiders, why must they try to turn every other game in another EQ or WoW clone ?
Btw. i left Rift after 5 months when i noticed that it was in the end just another dungeon and raid-grinder and you only got crap for fighting invasions in the open world at max level. I played then Champions Online until GW2 was released since i never again wanted to play a gear-grinder.
