I strong believe that there will have a LS season 2, season 1 was the Scarlet arc, the devs/writers learned what they can do, how the players react and so on, so I’m very optimist about the season 2.

Guess what, there are people that finished their ascended armor already.
Time gated items are great for people that want to profit with crafting, if you only want the armor, then work harder to get the gold and have the last tier of armor of the game.
(and the other 8 elite specs maxed too)
Yup, the name fits the asura naming convention, the title is great.
(and the other 8 elite specs maxed too)
My main is a ranger, but I also have a lvl 80 eng.
Rangers are amazing WvW roamers and duelists, and average at everything else, engineers are well balanced at everything, nades are amazing long range, bombs are great “melee”, gives good support (healing turret, elixir gun, some toss elixir skills and so on), so if you like a more complex class I suggest engineer.
(and the other 8 elite specs maxed too)
I’m pretty sure it works, Compassion Training rise the pet’s healing power.
(and the other 8 elite specs maxed too)
Really that you guys only knew it now?
In the update where minions got 71% HP buff, it was only in PvE. Not in WvW and PvP
(and the other 8 elite specs maxed too)
(edited by Belzebu.3912)
I didn’t, I’m sure that if there was an healing for the pet it also would have a cooldown, I omitted the information since both would have it.
Unless your idea was to heal the pet and then switch it, in that case the pet would still be in CD, also the healing and it would also be bursted.
If we don’t get a way of mitigate the damage of high bursts, there is no amount of heal or HP that will prevent our pets from dying.
(and the other 8 elite specs maxed too)
We all knew that pets only got the HP buff at PvE, and just as you, we have no idea why the buff was left from WvW.
We got no dev answer for that.
(and the other 8 elite specs maxed too)
So you switch your pet and it gets bursted and your saying my F4 will save my pet?
Implying that if you had a healing instead of switch your pet wouldn’t be bursted?
I might be a bit noob but I couldn’t find the logic.

I have 2 Total Makeover Kits in my bank, both from BLC opened with keys from personal story/daily , as others mentioned you can also buy with in game gold, and it is just an aesthetic change, besides all that, many will even use a helmet and hide his uniqueness …
In other words, I’m totally fine with this.
(and the other 8 elite specs maxed too)
Send a ticket to the support, I’m sure they can check it.
(and the other 8 elite specs maxed too)
A dev posted that Scarlet WILL have an end, so be sure of that.
But we have no idea what we’ll get after Scarlet, it can be great, it can sucks … who knows?
(and the other 8 elite specs maxed too)
I agree 100% with Veron, there is no reason what so ever to delete a toon that you invested time, doesn’t matter if you invested gold too, just buy a new toon slot and go for it if the problem is lack of space.
In worst case scenario, you’ll have the ranger as mule for items.
(and the other 8 elite specs maxed too)
Exactly, “Feature only” would be updates with no need of a story attached to it.
They can’t be specific on those kind of posts because if a small thing change along their plans, and it always happen in any project, the comunity would go nuts.
(and the other 8 elite specs maxed too)
That is the set you wear during the Down the Hatch personal story step from Order of Whispers line.
Very fun one where you distract pirates in a drinking competition
(and the other 8 elite specs maxed too)
Engineer with grenades are very powerful at long range probably the best at long range, GS and/or Staff mesmers are also very effective.
(and the other 8 elite specs maxed too)
Yeah, there is a good chance that now you have more experience as a player and the new class you are playing is easier/strong to play.
BTW, it is Personal Story and not Living Story, they are different stuff.
(and the other 8 elite specs maxed too)
The suggestions are good, but if they don’t have hardware to handle players saving the pet names, do you think you’ll be able to save pet stats?
(and the other 8 elite specs maxed too)
Mesmers in WvW isn’t all that good either, but they have a couple skills that are useful, but in dungeons mesmers have many really useful skills like feedback and time warp.
Are we playing the same game?
Mesmers are pretty crucial in zergs and small-group combat, and they make fantastic roamers. You might not want a lot of them, but every group wants at least one Mesmer for clutch Portals, Veils, Mass Invisibility, etc.
That is what I meant. Mesmers are useful, but you only need a couple of them in a zerg, while guardians, warriors and eles the more the better.
As roamers / duelists yes, mesmers are are great, also are rangers and thieves, but duels doesn’t help WvW much.
So between mesmers and rangers both are not that good in zergs and both are good roamers, but in dungeons mesmers takes the lead easily.
(and the other 8 elite specs maxed too)
The problem with ranger is that they aren’t really effective with bows, like LB damage depends on you staying at long distance and because of that during dungeons and bosses you stay away of the group and from the buffs, and at same time you can’t buff/heal the group since are away.
Mesmers in WvW isn’t all that good either, but they have a couple skills that are useful, but in dungeons mesmers have many really useful skills like feedback and time warp.
Resuming, rangers can be good if played right, it looks weird but bows aren’t a good weapon for rangers, mesmers are good supporters and also have good damage.
I have both classes at lvl 80 but my main is a ranger, I can’t give a direct answer, but if you want to be the archer, you will get disappointed as ranger.
(and the other 8 elite specs maxed too)
If I wanted a melee 1h weapon on my ranger I would use the sword.
The only reason I use a/a on my ranger is for the range attack, btw axe #4 is also ranged, traited it is 1200 range, so I really don’t see what you are complaining about.
The only thing I want to see on mh axe is an improve for power builds, but the mechanic seems good imo.
(and the other 8 elite specs maxed too)
Those are the 2 sets I use on my ranger:
Left set
Head: Thief hood
Shoulder: Norn T3
Body: Named coat
Glove: Heavenly Bracers
Leg: Order of Whispers
Boots: Order of Whispers
Right set
Head: Hidden
Shoulder: CM shoulder
Body: Order of Whispers
Glove: Heavenly Bracers
Leg: Durmand Priory
Boots: Durmand Priory

Because guard need to check the current state of the AI of your pet and the time the server need to do that is in that cast time.
That is the same reason why pet F2 skills can’t be instant cast.
(and the other 8 elite specs maxed too)
I really doubt they will increase the level cap.
GW1 did fantastically well with the same level cap since launch, I’m sure GW2 will too.
(and the other 8 elite specs maxed too)
I -tried- to make endless tonics last year. After 20 or so attempts I gave up. I have plenty of cogs and frames in my bank still, but not stuffing and glue.
You know you can buy those, right?
(and the other 8 elite specs maxed too)
Really nice post, YAY for free time
(and the other 8 elite specs maxed too)
I can’t understand these posts that start with ‘I just crafting [legendary] and I’m disappointed.’ Didn’t you preview it? Read about the effects/footfalls/auras on the wiki and look at screenshots and videos of people wielding them? I’m not attacking you, I just don’t get how any visual aspect of a legendary could be a surprise to you.
I knew exactly how Frostfang looked like before I crafted, and among the ranger weapons I usually use, the axe was the best looking one, and I actually like how it looks, but you need to agree that many legendaries, Frostfang included, can be improved visually.
(and the other 8 elite specs maxed too)
Forums unfortunately.
I have a full time job, here I have access to forums but I can’t play, so I can spend a good part of my 8~9 hours of work here on forums, but I only have around 3 hours/day to play.
(and the other 8 elite specs maxed too)
Play as engineer is fast paced as hell, for most players even too fast.
Try to control grenades and a 2nd kit (myself usually bomb or elixir kits) while chasing or being chased during a fight, that is really frantic.
(and the other 8 elite specs maxed too)
Besides stealth from smoke field, you also have Toss Elixir S
(and the other 8 elite specs maxed too)
Ulfsdóttir implies that her father was called Ulf , Wolfkin or even Ulfkin would make it sound more metaphorical “Wolf’s Daughter”.
(and the other 8 elite specs maxed too)
Yeah, I also crafted Frostfang about a month ago, and I agree with you 100%.
I think a nice Ice aura or an attack trail like you see on Twilight, smaller of course but the same idea, with a white/blue tint on it would make it feel much more “legendary”.
(and the other 8 elite specs maxed too)
Yeah, that is something you should not worry, you can make every class with every race and still have a good window to create new toons.
(and the other 8 elite specs maxed too)
Yeah, I also would wait Dec 10th to see the skill changes, but in general condition/regen builds is really powerful in 1v1 situation.
(and the other 8 elite specs maxed too)
As a passionate ranger, I would say no to that.
Give ranger a bit more options to disengage the fight is fine, but a plain higher move speed wouldn’t be either fair or really that useful.
(and the other 8 elite specs maxed too)
Go for I5.
GW2 for some reason doesn’t go really well with AMD CPUs, also games in general works better with Intel CPUs.
(and the other 8 elite specs maxed too)
I personally think that cond damage should have personal stacks, but since such a thing can’t be done because of technical limitations, bring power down should be the answer.
PS: I run power build, but I also played a lot with cond build. Also, I agree that in PvP and solo fight, cond damage is very powerful.
(and the other 8 elite specs maxed too)
I’m starting to think he did it not long ago and just realized that he could have acquired the same thing much cheaper, and now “he mad”.
(and the other 8 elite specs maxed too)
Yeah, I imagined such a name would be taken, Jorunna is also a good one
(and the other 8 elite specs maxed too)
A bigger stack because 100% of the players cause direct damage no matter or what, so more people could enter in the stack.
Also cond damage have 5 ways of proc (bleed, poison, burn, torment, confusion), while in that scenario power would only proc once, so make the only way power cause damage have a higher stack cap would make up for the higher cond diversity.
I know such idea will never happen, but it is worth a good discussion
(and the other 8 elite specs maxed too)
Champ train I have no idea, but Crown Pavilion was really fast, but I don’t even think it is still available to enter, if it is, there aren’t many people there to make leveling worth.
(and the other 8 elite specs maxed too)
Crafting for sure. It is expensive, but in 1 day of crafting you can reach lvl 80.
(and the other 8 elite specs maxed too)
40~60 FPS outside Shooter games is barely noticeable, most FPS spike down are in high player areas like some WvW zerg attacks and PvE world bosses, but there is no computer/setup in the world that can handle that 100%.
Your CPU is also great, if you don’t feel comfortable overcloking it then don’t do it, the FPS return won’t be that great either, it is just a much more cheaper option with possible better results ;D
Supposing that you have all the setting on max I think letting Render Sampling on “Native” is a good start, Shadows (not shaders) on high instead of ultra is also barely noticeable.
(and the other 8 elite specs maxed too)
I don’t think the improvement an 780 SLI over a single 780 would be worth, GW2 is heavily dependent on CPU, a 780 is most likely near the maximum of the GW2 visual capacity.
I would work on Overclocking your CPU, the H100 offers a good safety net for overclocking.
(and the other 8 elite specs maxed too)
Other solution I can see is make direct damage work like conditions, but with higher stack, like 50 or even higher, and stack on damage, but affected by power instead of condition damage, of course.
That way it is fair with both sides.
EDIT:
You do realize there is an achievement for doing 300k dmg in 1 hit right?
And still I got it as a ranger running hybrid build under lvl 80 with masterwork gear about 2 months after game release.
Damage caused on ambient creatures (white mobs) count towards the achieve, and you can also use environmental and siege weapons.
(and the other 8 elite specs maxed too)
(edited by Belzebu.3912)
And how exactly you were betrayed?
(and the other 8 elite specs maxed too)
I have 6 80’s, my main have legendary and full ascended trinkets, 2 other 80’s are full lvl 80 exotic, 3 others are undergeared.
I’ll only make ascended armor for my ranger, the rest we’ll see … maybe in a distant future.
(and the other 8 elite specs maxed too)
Well, there is a condition damage priority for the highest ones when there are multiple sources but most of the time the majority of your stacks will be ignored.
(and the other 8 elite specs maxed too)
Well, thief stealth will be nerfed a bit on Dec 10th, and engineers also have access to stealth and will get some really nice buffs on Dec 10th update.
I personally like eng more than thief, specially at WvW.
