What I meant to ask was that if a warrior and a thief casued bleeding on a mob, does my necro’s condi dmg affect it the same way as if my necro had applied the stacks of bleeding, or do the bleeds tick the same regardless of whether I applied them or someone else?
Each stack of bleed tick with the caster condition damage, in your scenario, only the bleeding caused by you will be affected, the warrior and thief bleeding will be calculated apart.
BTW, if you get any boon during the fight, like might for example, the bleeding you already caused will get buffed too.

The article “The Movement of the World” is also a great reading to know the base of the lore and changes for the GW2.

Freya Wolfkin sounds like a great name for you. Freya is a Nordic goddess, the suffix “kin” indicate as found of, kin of, in that case the wolf.
The wolf name you can change all the time, so I’ll leave it open

That’s the one I use also. http://gw2nodes.com I check different servers to find one with a grouping of nodes I like and guest to that one every day.
The pathing shown can be not quite the best though.
I do the same thing, specially because I’m kinda lazy and I have 6 80’s, so I parked all of them on Frostgorge and every node reset I look for the best layout and go there.
This current node position I go to Isle of Jantir.

There is the Guild Assassin Backpack you can buy with 5 guild commendations + 5 gold
Also there is the Prototype Fractal Capacitor that cost 1350 fractal relics

The look of the new armors aren’t that good.
I’ll go for it for sure, I have no idea how long it will take me to craft my zerker medium armor for my ranger, but I will.
Legendary armor and trinkets is a sure fact stated by Colin, we just don’t know when, and I don’t think a new level of gear stats will be added (legendary = ascended btw).
(and the other 8 elite specs maxed too)
I still have the cogs and frames from last year. Hopefully I’ll be able to finish them.
(and the other 8 elite specs maxed too)
and finally people starts debating/complaining about something new?
seems legit
Nothing stop them of making new gear with improved aesthetic/effects but with the same status.
The top gear you could get in GW1 in the 1st year in the same you can get now, why it would be different here?
(and the other 8 elite specs maxed too)
Well, i think they might be a thing just for the free stat change at will, no need for fancy effects
Yup.
I would go for it only for that mechanic. You will be pretty much getting every single ascended trinket at the same time.
(and the other 8 elite specs maxed too)
In an interview made by Matt Visual, a dev (I forgot his name) said that they will include legendary trinkets and armor later, they will start by adding only a type of trinket like back piece or rings.
(and the other 8 elite specs maxed too)
They sure can, but as I said, it involves a lot more coding.
EDIT: I remembered a good example a dev said, pet names of rangers can’t be stored because it would require storage capacity that they can’t handle, imagine store the players weapon skill choices.
(and the other 8 elite specs maxed too)
(edited by Belzebu.3912)
Since they’ve already been demonstrated on the right-hand bar, why couldn’t it be implemented for weapons in the same form? (referring to your ‘requires a lot more coding if it’s even possible’ comment)
Oh I see.
Obviously I don’t have the game code nor access to it, but weapon skills have some different characteristics from utility skills like:
- In combat switch of skills (utilities aren’t able to do it)
- Same weapon giving different skills for other classes (there is no such a thing with utilities)
So it is very likely that the function that control weapon skills aren’t the same from utilities.
EDIT: You may think that it is a matter of copy&paste code, but be sure it is far from reality.
(and the other 8 elite specs maxed too)
(edited by Belzebu.3912)
The game code isn’t ready to allow the same weapon on the same class have different skills, to make new weapon skills would require A LOT more coding, assuming it is even possible.
If this function is already in game, I can’t see why you’d think it’s not possible.
In fact, I can’t imagine the code being much different to the code already in place for heals, utilities and elites, since the servers save character data anyway.
That function isn’t in game.
Weapon skills works very differently from utility skills. Change the whole weapon and make a new one is possible, make only a few skills of a weapon be customizeble isn’t possible with current mechanics.

:/ I want shurikens, katana’s, AK-47’s… (AN-94 works too, <3 it in BF3)
Katanas and AKs could be sword/gs skins and rifle skins
I would like GW1 Paragon’s spear and shield on my ranger and Dervish’s scythe on my warrior.
(and the other 8 elite specs maxed too)
I’m also hoping for a box, for people that mix armor status would be a pain, but still I think that make 2 boxes would be better than make the individual pieces.
(and the other 8 elite specs maxed too)
The problem with weapons skills is that they would need to make a new mechanic to the game, since currently we can’t choose it, the skills are imbued in the weapon.
Difference between choosing utilities, given a race (the elites) (like a weapon, never mind the class difference, just race differences), and choosing skills given a weapon?
But yeah, poor mechanic that’s not so customizable…
The game code isn’t ready to allow the same weapon on the same class have different skills, to make new weapon skills would require A LOT more coding, assuming it is even possible.
New weapons on the other hand is a thing that is much more plausible, the only problem would be balance but that is just a matter of testing.
New utilities are much more simple because those are already costumizable in game.

You’ll need the crystal, even if only for the skin.
(and the other 8 elite specs maxed too)
Yes you will be able.
The final product depends on the stats you pick, if you get lvl 65 skin with 48 stats you’ll be fine.

In the book Sea of Sorrows, guardian is described as a paragon with teachings of monk e ritualist skills.
(and the other 8 elite specs maxed too)
I REALY doubt new classes will be added in GW2, new races maybe.
Guardian (spirit weapons), Engineer (turrets) or Ranger (spirits) are the closest you can be from GW1 rit.

10/10 Magnus son of Olof you have a 100% Norn name, can’t discount anything.

They aren’t exactly the same, but co-related.
Every 10 levels (purple bar) you get a new PvP rank (Rabbit, Deer, Dolyak and so on)

Your ping time (latency) must be quite high.
Try to do this, in game type “/ip”, that command will give you the IP of the server you are playing, then on windows run the command prompt and then execute the following “tracert x.×.×.x” , where x.×.×.x is the IP you got from the game, that command will send packets to the server and check the status of every step, if you get values over 300~400ms then one of the servers along the way must be having problems.
Also, you can’t have a good MMO where you have client side actions, the client must be basically just for rendering and animations, any action must be server side.
(and the other 8 elite specs maxed too)
Your story is exactly the same as mine, except I bought a few gems for toon slots and bank space.
Grats on the legendary.

Largos are good, but not abundant enough.
Largos are stealth assassins, if you don’t see many of them is because they are making a good job.
I would ally with the Kodans or Largos, but more inclined for the Kodans.

We can’t tell exactly the time when Thaumanova exploded, but both events aren’t co-related, we only know it was in a recent history.
In the Edge of Destiny book you can find much more info about the events of the Kralkatorrik awakening, including when, where and what happened.

Yes you can make them, but not using the new bloodstone brick recipe.

Depends on what you are aiming for, you can get +healing from your trinkets or even from runes.
(and the other 8 elite specs maxed too)
I think this should be posted on the Guardian forum.
Anyway, I think every healing skill and traits that cause healing, like AH and that heal of dodge, all scale with Healing Power.
Try to check the trait on the wiki to see if it really scale.

I’d use PvP builds as a starting point, as that’s quite close to what roaming is. You need to be mobile and have several survival tricks up your sleeve.
not nearly enough to be useful in zerg fights, and spirits will get pummeled by zerg AoE.
I just want to point that, Fluffball is talking about roaming and you about zerg.
For roaming Fluff is right, it is very similar to PvP, zerg/group fights is another story.

At least female have a couple more options, male toons are cursed to wear trenchcoats.
(and the other 8 elite specs maxed too)
1 – Tengu as playable race
2 – Expansion, or a REALLY big LS
3 – More non-trenchcoats medium armors.
(and the other 8 elite specs maxed too)
No, for example a boss have 1% to drop an exotic, but if you have 150% MF you’ll have 2,5% chance to get it.
Except we have no idea what the base values are because Anet refuses to tell us.
It could be so low that even the fully grinded out 300% MF+ wouldn’t make a difference.
We just don’t know.
Yeah I know, but that is how the mechanic works.
As the other guy said, if you have 1 in 1m to get an item, 300% MF will give 4 in 1m to get it, it is still a very small increase, but an increase nonetheless.
(and the other 8 elite specs maxed too)
Click by scrolling I never heard about it, I know that if you actually press the scroll wheel it has a click function, GW2 recognize that wheel click as M3, I use it as my healing skill.
BTW if you want to use it, just go to the button bound menu and when is asked to press a button to bound just do the scroll wheel click.
(and the other 8 elite specs maxed too)
No, for example a boss have 1% to drop an exotic, but if you have 150% MF you’ll have 2,5% chance to get it.
Magic find works as a multiplier of the drop table of each mob.

Frostfang. You get a dragon champion for a weapon
This.

To be clear here, we are only talking about PvP end duels, right?
Because bunker condition in any other scenario (dungeons, PVE, group/organized WvW) is just a waste, 2 or 20 players with similar build cause almost the same damage.
I used to play a cond/regen trapper ranger, roaming alone in WvW and when I was the only cond damager in a dungeon it was great, but now I play a power build and I feel so much more useful in any place (barely changing my survivability), and higher crit gives so many survival or even more offensive possibilities, food that grant HP or Might on crit, sigils that grant on crit, HP , AoE explosion (modified by power) , might, vuln, cond cleanse.
If you try to go a glass cannon cond build (rabid/rampager) to also use the crit possibilities, your limitations will be even higher, since you won’t be able to contribute with high damage and won’t have enough survival.
(and the other 8 elite specs maxed too)
I didn’t really understand your question, but … you can change your hood wherever you want, so that option doesn’t matter, it is just a skin that you can remove any time you want.
(and the other 8 elite specs maxed too)
Without the 400-500 no, you can’t.
But the exp left to 80 will be kinda small, play a bit and done
(and the other 8 elite specs maxed too)
Any MMO where all/most the process are client side and then sync with a server is doomed to fail.
(and the other 8 elite specs maxed too)
Condition alone is as bad as power alone, you need cond duration to make sure the damage will be on the target and to get big bleeding/torment stacks, also you need to be able to re-apply conds constantly (or because target is cleaning it or the duration) and most condition need crit% to proc.
Besides all that, condition damage is only useful if you are alone, if another player is also causing condition damage they are pretty much canceling each other, while with power they only add.
EDIT: But I agree that make defensive builds using cond damage is easier and more effective.

For the same reason people craft legendary, or solo Lupi and so on, for the fun of it, the fun of the challenge.
(and the other 8 elite specs maxed too)
Looks like you are playing from Australia, a ping of around 300~400ms isn’t bad at all, I play from Brazil and have similar ping time.
Also, allow client side contend in a MMO is just impossible, all the code of the server side would be needed in your computer for that, and it would give a way for people getting the code and make hacks.
(and the other 8 elite specs maxed too)
Yeah, mesmer with s/s is really good in a phanton build.
The oh sword block is very useful and the iDuelist hits hard and is more mobile than the iWarden from the focus.
(and the other 8 elite specs maxed too)
Male or female? If female I really like the T1 cultural set, I use it on my mesmer (even she being lvl 80)
Necros are better with staff imo, so I suggest making one.
(and the other 8 elite specs maxed too)
With current pet mechanic even making them tougher wouldn’t help much, the bigger problem is in situation of 1 hit kill skills from bosses or in constant damage like in WvW zergs, w/o better ways to mitigate that damage, like dodge, aegis or something, adding HP will only make pets OP (adding too much HP/invulnerable) or won’t even matter.
