It depends A LOT of the build, and that is for any class.
Rangers have precision and crit damage in the same trait line, and have spotter that add another 7% crit chance, so maybe ranger is the class that benefit the least mixing assassin’s.
What may influence is that ranger is affected a bit less by power than other classes, so rise the crit% may be better, but again it depends on the build.

rare/unique pet skin? Yes, please
rare/unique pet stats? Definitely no.

I would like to have the rainbow phoenix like I had in GW1, but having the same stats/skills as a red moa or an eagle bird for example.

A ranger can also throw a dagger and an axe 300 farther than he can fire a shortbow.

I think the problem isn’t that rangers are bad, the problem is compared to other classes, a “bad” ranger is REALLY bad, other classes are more forgiving and even a bad build/player can do something a bit useful.

Humans have a lot of cultural references, the Krytans specifically are more like south americans imo, darker skin, near a forest region and beaches. Ascalonians are the europeans, Orrians are more like arabic culture, Elonians are Africa based and Canthans are asians.

I would bring Vow of Strength if could be used in other weapons, if not I would bring Splinter Weapon.
Ranger Axe #2 would be awesome with it, barrage would too.

The problem is most NPCs are static and repeating the same lines minutes apart. Weather only occurs in static locations. You can hardly tell the difference between day or night. There is hardly any immersion to be found at all. Especially with the world broken up and not seamless with all the instanced zones.

I got a bit curious, which other MMOs have you played?
At least the ones I played never had dynamic NPCs that learned new paths and dialogues.
About the day/night I agree, it is barely noticeable in GW2.

Sadly this is the internet, where when people don’t like something they won’t argue politely, they will yell angrily behind the safely of the “anonymity”, remember that a big part of the people here are young and don’t have the maturity to be reasonable about something they aren’t happy with.

You may think that the CDI is walking slowly, but organization and transparency takes time but it is a sure walking forward, the results from the CDI appear in game make take even longer but the Devs are getting the feedback from us for sure and we know it.
Many other games the players only talk to Community Managers and Moderators but never with a dev, so they never know if their feedback are reaching the people that really matter.

I agree that the forum layout and color scheme is really nice, among the best out there, but the search tool need to be fixed, I use google to search on this forum, at least it brings something sometimes …

In most small scale fights conditions are very strong, specially in duels, so I would suggest the cond/regen for sure.

Use crafting boost makes you toon level less, the crafting will level faster, so you’ll need less craft to level giving you less EXP.

Mesmers are a bit hard to level, but at later level they get much more stronger with the right traits, at level 80 with a phanton build and the new healing signet mesmers have a much easier life.

Elementalists are very glassy, I’m leveling one now and it bother me a bit, but they are versatile for sure.

Necros are very tanky, highest HP base along with warriros, and Death Shroud gives even more HP and have many playstyles, condition, power, minion master, I really enjoyed leveling my necro.

That is in test/dev ambient, they can make anything at any number.
They probably won’t release that, specially after our CDI feedback about vertical progression.

If you are not from behind then yes, the runes will affect.
The problem is that the game consider “behind” everything that aren’t in a cone in front of the target, so most of the times you’ll cause stun instead of daze with Hilt Bash and Concussion Shot

Every weapon/bundle item scale with race size.

Pay attention that it scale with the RACE size, there are some kinda funny screens of norns created with the smallest size with proportionally huge weapons.

10/10 for all 3, they follow the Asura names and fit your naming taste, so win/win

You need two parts of your armor with the “minor rune of divinity”.
So you need the boots and a 2nd piece with the same rune.

You can always make the game with the theme “similar” to Guild Wars.
Like Battletoads was a copy from TMNT but it wasn’t the same, so no copyrights infringement.

Yes, they have to fix bugs, but how long it will take is another issue.

My main is a Norn ranger, and I’m totally satisfied. I have 100% of the JPs done and all with my Norn, later I discovered that you can use tonics to make JPs easier, it is just a matter of get used.
The norn elites are very unique and fun, the bear form charge is really cool and the cultural armors are also nice.

I’m pretty sure that the tower may come back as fractal later with small tweaks.
The whole purpose of the Living Story is the temporary nature of the events, the consequences are permanent but the event can’t be.

Like the Karka invasion, the Southsun is a permanent place with many people/NPC there, but the invasion itself was a one time thing, the Nightmare Tower was an event and we as player had to put an end to it, but the landscape will be permanently changed.

Believe, if it was permanent it would soon be ignored, just like the Scarlet invasions across the maps.

Of course, I think Anet got that the Karka zergfest wasn’t a good idea.

The only books I know in game are the ones in the Durmand Priory, they are all very short stories about some characters and events from the past, and also in the Ebonhawk (there is even an achievement to read them all in a day) that tells the story about the foundation of the city.

I wish there were more readable books in game, many of the books we find in DR ,that we can only see the tittle, sounds so interesting but we can only dream about it.

Who knows why they don’t add the books in game, they wrote many cool stories in the blog/news section of the site, so we know that they have information to add, they just don’t do it the “right” way.

Well … maybe you need to be a bit more specific, I finished the tower instance, I read the dialogues but still I have no clue of what you are talking about, or maybe was something I didn’t noticed.
Try to quote what she said/did and the people may comment or at least they will look for it in the game.

Minis, Back items, tonics and tittles are great ways to reward a player for others look at him and say “look! he did that stuff”, I’m a bit jealous of people that have the mini Liadri for example.

Chamber of secrets and the PoI in Claw Island are very common ones to miss.
A few way points was added with updates in Straits of Devastation, Malchors Leap, Ashford and a couple other maps, most are WPs for the guild puzzle missions, try to check it isn’t the case.

Nothing official was said about it, maybe just rumors.

I’m pretty sure it is intended, on patch notes Anet said HP buff in PvE, most of us only assumed that WvW was part of the PvE, but apparently we were wrong.

Yeah, it was known that the 71% pet buff was applied only in PvE.
I think devs thought that pets in WvW would be too OP in small/solo fights so they didn’t buff there.

I agree that Anet could reduce the time game, but not remove it, otherwise ascended gear would be like candy.

If there aren’t time gate the players that had “monopoly” of materials would be able to craft tons on items and mold the market at their will, with time gate the same person will now only be able to keep in the market for a longer time w/o buying more materials, so the competition is much more fair.

I also have ascended weapon, I saved a lot of materials, and now I’ll profit from the initial batch of timed items, and when the price stabilize I’ll buy them with my profit and finish my armor.

I really see no harm in that mechanic. Ascended gear was developed not just a vertical progression for the game, the main reason was to make people spend time making it, and I think Anet really did it.
