Well aware, just think it’s lazy to beg for spoilers. People seem to have this ridiculous need/drive for immediacy instead of just waiting and discovering yourself.

I’d look into changing your distance from your monitor or altering the lighting. However, whenever I got nauseous from a game it was a usually a result of the FOV (field of view, if you’re unfamiliar). Can’t adjust that in GW2, though.

Also, failing to see what a professional (i.e. meant to be used for design purposes, not gaming, and is structured as such) GPU and a lot of ram has to do with making a rig for high-end gaming.

The commander leading the pubbies WPed and the pubbies didn’t, so we had a few adds. Thankfully, most of them wiped on RET’s initial push, but there were still several following us around.

Oh look a guild that doesn’t play nice with others, what an asset to a community. I must say i thought all the guilds with hyper-inflated egos and pvf skills to match them were already on maguuma- glad Ark found it’s way to the promise land.

Wat. We don’t want pubbies running with us for two reasons. First, they rarely join us in mumble (even though we post the mumble info for them), which means that they tend to die and rally entire clumps of enemies. Nine times out of ten we fight groups our size or much larger, and those rallies really, really hurt us. Not fun for us, not fun for them.

Second, they do far more good by following the commander tag than they do following us. Simple concept.

Edit: plus, we like seeing what we can do as a group, so having pubbies with us doesn’t really do much in that department, does it? That said, we had ~10 Agg running with us at the time, so it’s kind of hypocritical, but they’ve run with us several times, so I guess not?

Depends. That’s a pubbie zerg. Blobbing is to be expected. What I hate, however, is when EP, CERN, etc… blob up with another guild to wipe people. If you can field 20 people or more, you have no excuse to blob up like that, even if you wipe a few times to other guilds.

Yeah, some guilds in EU require you to not only trial raid with them for a month at the minimum, but you also have to submit footage of your gameplay for review by the guild. We’re casuals compared to that.

As far as the Agg/Ark combo if you wouldn’t run in 50 man groups then it wouldn’t happen, both of us prefer to run on our own. I know there was a DB commander last night who said the fact that DB ended up with a Q’d zerg in a giant ball was a big foolish and that he wished it didn’t always end like that.

If you have premade guilds that are names of your combined guilds you really can’t say anything when we team up.

My General PvE Build

There’s my 2c. I’d progress in this way:

• 15 Radiance
• 5 Virtues
• 5 Honor
• Go nuts

Empowering Might can be Two-Handed Mastery if you want. Also, if you’re running into problems with purging conditions, swap SY for Purging Flames and take Master of Consecrations VI in Virtues instead.

Basically, Sword 2 + GS 3 allows you to cover lots of ground quickly, Focus 5 + GS 2 provides enough burst to down any group of mobs in seconds, and your two shouts should give you a fairly high uptime on swiftness.

Edit: I just re-posted what is more or less my PvE build, but with a few utilities swapped, so you could get an idea of what a Guardian can do with end-game gear. 3800 attack with Greatsword, 3666 with Sword + Focus. Not including bloodlust stacks. Same survivability and group utility that a tankier guardian provides, except my DPS is through the roof. Food for thought.

Ok, last thing I’m going to say on this because you don’t seem to get it. TG was running and saw that there were orange swords close to where their group was. The orange sword turn out to be us (qT + NS under the tag NAME, which was already proven to have less than 40 people) fighting Agg + Ark (I think there were som Ark) . So TG decided they wnted to go fight because its WvW, not an official GvG and came in. That does not mean the groups are running together. If You don’t get it past that then you are kittened and I feel sorry for you.

Honestly. Is DB incapable of running in anything but a full queue?

In general, traits/sigils/food that grant benefits upon killing an enemy are better for general WvW than something more organized, like a GvG.

That said, you’re losing an awful lot of utility/stamina by speccing in such a way. The typical WvW/GvG guardian build is a 0/5/30/30/5 or 0/0/30/30/10. The latter you would take for a ranged Sanctuary to break up an enemy’s rally. So, by speccing 15 into radiance you lose a combination of the following: Altruistic Healing, Pure of Voice, and Consecrated Ground. In the distrib you listed, you’re losing out on Pure of Voice, which is currently extremely powerful, especially against necro-heavy comps. You also lose on Consecrated Ground, but that’s more of a minor thing.

My 2c says it’s not worth it, but do what you want.

You should really specify if you’re planning to roam or if you want to use this build in zerg play/GvG setting >.>

The 60 man was actually formed up to counter your 3 groups…You guys did a good job of protecting each other and we were too unorganized until we got together. rB tried to run a 30 man but we kept getting doubled after the 1st couple fights so once TG and NS got in DBBL it was blob time

We pooped on EAT in SM twice, and then rolled around DB’s quadrant in EB and farmed a few zergs, but then everyone left. So we went to DB because we heard that there were fights to be found. We didn’t mean to zerg up, I promise

I think Mag, SoS and CD are the most obvious pairings, as well as EB, BP and YB. That’s just due to ranking though.

SoS wouldn’t be fun at all. We rolled over their NA every single night to the point where they stopped showing up. Mag has essentially no night presence and our EU presence is made up of NA people who have the day off work and decide to karma train. We also don’t have any weekend warriors, so we pull ahead during the week when other servers bleed population. SoS, on the other hand, has a night presence, so we’d wake up to a 400+ PPT for SoS and sub-100 for us. Can we say “carried?”

YB we roll over because their coverage is even less than ours.

I don’t really have an opinion on BP yet, though, because it’s hard to find less than 40 of them in a zerg. Judging by that [Agg] steamroll video and the Guardian actually using the offensive book, the outlook isn’t very good.

The only competition we get any more is against DB/TC/FA. JQ was hard to handle because they’d roll around with full queues and drop open field siege everywhere. If you caught their zerg away from a tower and without open field siege, though, free bags galore.

Unlike most commanders, I am not really interested in the idea of epic battles of 1 on 1 skill. GvG, 15 vs. 15, with samurai swords at dawn. Instead, I follow the mantras of two of the best American military leaders. Nathan Bedford Forrest, and Douglas MaCarthur. They give two, very witty but poignent words of wisdom for any aspiring military leaders.

When asked about how he managed to beat the Union so much, Forrest responded simply. “I gets thar firstest with the mostest”.

When asked how to drive the Japanese from the South Pacific, MaCarthur proclaimed “Hit them where they ain’t.”

If I am on the field, I am not trying to test my 1 on 1 PvP skills. I am trying to beat you. That means taking towers, holding them, and wiping your zergs utilizing whatever resources I have at my disposal.

Yes, we did outnumber AGG and others in most of those fights, freely admitted. Also freely admitted, this was 100% intentional. No commander in his right mind would not utilize a numbers advantage, and any commander that did is not worth his hat.

Nah, I like Borlis, more choices. btw, I also love desperate defensive actions. Won’t get that with Jade Quarry. I suppose I’ve just had my hat on too long. I see WvW more as a game of Grand Strategy, akin to something like Europa Universalis 2. Instead of simple pieces on the game map though, its real people I can talk too. Half the time I have my map up rather then actually looking at what is going on in front of my as I plot my next maneuver and where to send the forces following me.

Guild Wars 2 is honestly a very refreshing change for a jaded Real Time Strategy gamer like myself. I don’t see this game as 1 on 1 like Call of Duty. To me, its an RTS where I also get to fight in the battles I help to arrange. Its an amazing change of perspective, and thats the way I like playing it.

Though I have been known to roam on occasion to mix it up, so please look for the red Sylvari Necromancer in white armor. We can fight sometime
