The engine has changed, so it seems. Many are experiencing a drop in FPS. You might have more luck with the 32-bit client, rather than the new 64-bit client. Some have found the change in clients caused issues; some did not.
I’m not sure resetting your preferences will make any difference, but it may. You can also do it by adding the Command Line Argument, -prefreset.
As a note, the Tech CS Team answers all support tickets submitted, but rarely just posts on the forums.

I noticed a pretty big drop in zerg fights any area where theres alot of players around..My fps dips to 15 lowest,that never happend before where it usually stayed atleast 30+.Ive tried reinstalling drivers but it didn’t help.The issue just came out of the blue,and cant figure out why.
That fight you had on your human at north camp/bl at around 5:00 onwards was really well played,gj.
I think the second clip you showed it was merely because of your flurry burst locking you in place a sec.The first one does happen to me aswell usually when strafing a – d while going forward.
Well be thankful its not happening on every movement skill you use. I found using an asuran warrior helped decrease it dramatically. I totally rerolled from my human to the asuran because of this bug….its rly bad on human race in my experience.
I still get it alot on my asuran sometimes but i find it depends on my build. Right now im running 90%-100% edurance regen with sigil of energy on my alt weap set. If I’m dodging an insane amount I find the bug to have occcur ALOT less…its almost nonexistent at times. Pretty much swapped builds on account of this lol.
Personally I have another problem with gs 3 though and thats the fact the delay from when I proc it to the actual evade/spin is a ridiculously long time lately….and it keeps getting longer. It can’t be just lagg since I can use other abilities fine and yet as soon as i gs3 there might be a very very longer delay before the spin than usual.
You mean it’s happening race specific ? Cus that could very well be true,im a maxed out norn myself.Im dueling a charr buddy of mine alot on the same build,where he Never complains about the bugg at all but he does see it happen on my norn.|
I got the delay you’re talking about aswell though,or where whirl starts stuttering mid way barely making any proper distance while im not lagging.
It’s a deadly bugg..It just keeps on happening so kitten often to me,even had it happen yday on thief..a class i barely even play at all because i suck at it.Thought it was mostly related to gs on warri,but nope..
Op is merely claiming it’s easy to spamm dodge all day while doing dmg in the meanwhile,it’s just a kitten mechanic.
A warrior’s healing is mostly passive, yes. (Although i could point out you have to be ACTIVE to proc Adrenal health) but your fooling yourself if you think that the warrior is passive by nature.
Minion Masters are passive. Warriors are probably the most active class in the game with elementalist a close second. (I have explained this before)
Goes AH need a change? maybe, but not a major one, as a warrior is required to be up close and personal with the enemy and wasting time to heal when you are up in your opponent’s grill is stupid.
I know there are much more passive builds around though.But running without defline makes you realize that warri still needs much more work when it comes to sustain.
It still is promising…or i should say, it is promising again, because lets be honest, pre HoT warrior was in a bad space that then got worse until they fixed it.
“Fixed” Really,what got fixed ? Adren hp buff is like a huge band aid because they don’t know how else to balance our sustain.
I don’t like how our class is so passive atm,and everything just depends on hp regen.Try to go without defline / Adren hp,and see how fixed warri is.

It happens most often with rangers because of the sheer amount of immobilize that a ranger can dish out, and because of this rangers are capable of exploiting it. yes, ancient seeds procs it, but so does Pin down because they both have immobilize. But warrior’s immobilize is one 3 second proc. where as Ancient seeds is Five 1 second procs.
also it looks like the stuck bug fix is already in the testing stages according to the bug tracker. so i’ll end the discussion here
I doubt its only because of immob honestly.I was fighting a buddy tonight in guild hall arena,,warr that ran condi sw/torch,mace/shield.I ran gs/axe shield..I got stuck in movement when i was far away from him even being able to apply on immob on me,it’s just me applying the stuck on myself after a fast swap and another skill use right after it.
Its not limited to one class Warlord,its also not limited to being immobilized only.It happens randomly in a fight after a swap weap to gs and a whirl.
Not saying that ancient seed isnt the cause of the bug either though.It just happens so randomly vs diff classes where at times im not even near them and im not even being hit..Its me applying the immob to myself.

This has been going on for months now.It happens so often that im stuck in movement for about 2 – 4 sec after a weap swap to gs and a whirl.I doubt it’s lag related because ive had it happen in my gh arena yday aswell where my ping was 30 average.
I ran sw/torch,mace/shield alot and havent had it happen on that build the way it happens on gs atm,and usually it’s after the swap to gs followed by a whirl.
Our guild had an Anet employee who would pop his tag which made enemy groups break formation and charge straight at him. He’d get plowed over, but we’d wipe them every time (even when they had double our numbers). That tag makes people go nuts.
They can just remove the tag aswell though ?
With a game mechanic like that it’s not hard to figure out what class a hacker is gonna pick.
Banners need to act like the pulsing boons from rev to make them viable.
There’s really no sense in not running berserk atm with the amount of adren hp gain you get and able to burst far more often,i’d really swap strength for berserk if i you were you.Restorative strength is a pointless and wasted trait to begin with while berserk line is far more usable.You’re not using cleansing,and with berserk line you can swap out last stand and grab eternal champion.Also ditch hamm and make it a axe/shield gs build.
Also alot of long lag spikes happening where it seems you’re about to dc but in 5 sec youre back to normal again.It happens to alot of people ive been playing with lately.
Careful though…The guy is a pro warri !
Laugh it off,Remember who it was,go find him..kill him again,sit or jump for extra rage while you blocked him so he can’t tell you how mad he is now.
I would say Warrior is the problem, and Necro is a response to that.
Warrior can deal immense amounts of damage with basically no counterplay except boon corrupt. Necro has lots of on-demand boon corrupt, so it’s a good choice in the meta. Warrior gets stability, immunity to direct damage, and like 30 seconds of resistance. The only option is to corrupt resistance and transfer back the condi bomb.
Of course, you could play Scrapper or Ele which survive with their own invulns/heals, or Mesmer or Thief, which escape, but IMO Necro is best for actually dealing with Warriors rather than just running away for 30 seconds.

Condi’s can be cleansed,regen will fight the ticks in the meanwhile.Like i said a 9k hit wont be regenerated as fast as a condi burst wich can be stopped with resistance aswell.
The point is, it doesn’t matter if you take 9k from a single hit or 9k from condi over a period of time. Unless the damage leads to your death, then AH is equally good at mitigating both. See for yourself….
Power Scenario:
- Warrior eats a 9k hit
- Defy Pain procs for 5s (due to Last Stand)
- Warrior dodges next attack, and uses Shield Stance
- Time elapsed: 10s
- Total AH mitigation: AH/sec * 10s
Condi Scenario:
- Warrior gets condi bombed, etc.
- Time elapsed: 10s
- Warrior ends up taking 9k over time period, after all condi mitigation, minus AH
- Total AH mitigation: AH/sec * 10s
You originally said something like, “unless the warrior kites, etc. in the case of direct damage”, which is similar to what I have in my power scenario above.
Except that makes no difference at all unless you’re actually claiming power builds are more lethal than condi builds. For example, if your take on the scenarios above has the warrior taking 25k in 10s with the power scenario and still only 9k in 10s with the condi scenario, then you’re comparing apples to oranges.
As I said originally, condi or power, it only makes a difference if the spike kills you outright. Sure, your health pool will drop down more with the spike, but it’ll come right back up by the end of the time period and end up exactly where the health pool would have been in the condi scenario using the same incoming damage numbers.
Thats a nice wall of text but i know from experience that adren hp does more good vs condi than it does vs power spikes.
Besides your power/condi scenario is all speculation and theory.A fight wont always go like that,and my post wasn;t based on 1on1 fights.

I disagree. AH is is clearly a buff to general sustain that works as well against power builds as it does condi builds, just like Healing Signet does.
Sure, it doesn’t save you from massive spike damage (including condi spike, btw), but use a block or dodge on that spike and you’re now better off than you are against the condi build who lands multiple condi hits on you. The longer the fight goes, the less the spike matters.

Start by lowering the damage Meteor does on siege…3 balls hit and Poof siege !
It doesn’t,i did fine before the buff aswell,it sure does help regenerating while i really need it though.
You can run rabid or any other half decent condi stat and manage to do the same.Condis are the issue here,although i would love to see perplex nerfed,asking for the removal of stats isn’t a good thing.Class imbalance and condi’s being over the top in general is the real issue here.

I would understand a hate post against something like perplex runes..But durability is all fine imo,it does what it needs to do and if im not mistaken it already got nerfed a while back.
Can you fix some of the warrior’s sprint movement skills as well? Like just “SOME” would be goood at this point. Shield 4 not breaking immobilize is really hurting me.
happends on bind root mostly for me,either it gets applied right after the bash or you’re just stuck in it.
The current system seems to work fine.The only thing I’d like to address is the imbalance in the downed skills .One class can move in downed state when others can’t .I beleive that a common set of downed skills for all classes or at least an equal action set of downed skills for all classes is warranted.
This is about outmanned fights where downed state is the result of the outcome of it.

Time for attempt #4! I made some slight adjustments (anim speed, attack radius, increased travel velocity for the small leap at the end) to the skill that should (hopefully) make it land more consistently.

Totally agree with this post,i would upvote this +1000 if i could.The times im being frustrated to hell cus im losing an outmanned fight unable to finish or cleave enough while getting interrupted trying to finish the guy off ( switching isn’t always possible in these fights either) is getting on my nerves.Ive been contemplating to ask for the entire removal of downed state in wvw but that would bring alot of nay sayers anyway i reckon.
You can’t say “bring the right tools either” ( trust me i already do ) because in the fights you will use stabi,you will use invulns and your blocks,depending on how many.Then still while in a finish stabi can get insta gibbed,knocked back and the guy is getting rezzed up again.
I truly think downed state carries people in these fights way too hard.
E.g if its 1 on 4, where 3 ppl go down ( Lets just say youre unable to finish them off somehow ) and they keep getting rezzed in the process,where it ends up you losing the fight in the end..Is just wrong imo.
I am talking about small scale fights btw that being 2v6 or 8 for e.g.
Half the hp of ppl in downed state
Make ppl enter downed state ONCE and the next time they insta die ( 4x being able to go into downed mode is too much honestly….. )
Or get rid of it..

I think its good to keep dbl in rotation ( with some tweaks to the map i hope ).
Would be a shame to see all that work they put in the map vanish like that.Imo get rid of all the automated stuff and bring some objectives a bit closer to each other.I still think the map in design and atmosphere is amazing.

If you want the stun dont enter zerker mode. If you want conditions enter zerker mode.
Its good and gives alternative plays.
I only find it a little too strong when you manage to interrupt someone with it (8 stacks of confusion) but warriors interrupts are not ranged or instacast like other classes so they take more effort to pull out. And if you are against a team with necros you murder your own team…
4 confusion,8 is only when you trait for it.
It’s only strong when you get hit by full bursts,and in that case youre either playing it wrong or you got simply outplayed.

When he procs his shield, I proc Acid Bomb (unblockable)
I Always proc Stability to not be CC chained, and I never CC him (Rousing Resilience)The best way to counter a class is to learn well how to play it

Depends if the person shooting it was unblockable via Signet of Might or Signet Mastery. If they were unblockable, then it’s not a bug. If they weren’t, then it is.
It’s no bug,alot of people are just unaware.I remember a guard pm me in wvw that i was hacking cus i hit him through block.
You can get the best gpu on the market,this game is all about cpu..Not saying there wont be an increase when going from low or mid to high end.But i switched some months back from a 560gtx to a 970 and the perf increase is barely noticable in this game.

There’s a bug where leaps or any mobility skill will not remove immobilize.I already made a thread about it a month or longer back.Please look into it,it’;s going on for far too long now and can be a killer in a fight.Bugs like this need to be resolved before gemstore patches and pve fixes,please.
Happens on savage leap and bash alot,sundering leap util even.

I’m ruby and I’m not even good at pvp. I’m a baddie. I don’t even know what rotations are or what they mean.
Just been riding condi warri this season from late emerald ALLLLL the way to ruby T1 with nothing but STRONGHOLD games because I’m a bogan.
Surprisingly it’s been very fun and my only problems was last tier of sapphire hitting a few losses and class stacking of necro’s or being hit with double ele’s and you can’t destroy their breakers… Maybe it’s just been good luck with getting decent team mates for me? I don’t know but I’ve made it this far and I’m having fun.
Well, I try to pull my weight through each game – warri has it so easy with all their passives…. it’s kind of lame in a way and yes I feel guilty of playing a class that has all that and can get away with it most of the time. I honestly gave up playing any FUN original builds… meta or face plenty of losses.
Now I’m hit with a 56+ minute queue time as I’m typing this. Fun, right? Before it was a 21+ minute one… I hope more people reach ruby and soon. I spend more time in the queue than I do actually playing pvp.
RIP me.

Does anyone know if Anet plans to fix the Earthshatter Warrior burst skill for Hammer? It drives me nut that when I jump down hill at a group of people in WvW I do no damage because it goes off in the air above their heads. It basically renders this ability completely useless if you are attacking from an up hill vantage point.
Never gonna happen,they made one fix to this across all skills a Long time ago,but it never really got fully fixed.
Maybe get rid of all those boons that arn’t yours to show your real stats.

There are some skills with insta cast,even if they showed it you won’t ever time that right in regular fights,unless long cast skill offc.Most interrupts are pure luck besides some heavily telegraphed skills,from which there arn’t enough imo.
