To be fair, that very likely would have happened regardless of what she did. Her actions simply accelerated it.
I’m actually surprised there aren’t more same sex pairings in the game. Upon first reading on Sylvari I honestly thought we’d see such couples all over the game guess I was wrong o.O
It’s probably because they knew threads like this would pop if there was even one same sex relationship, so they decided to ease into……………course, that didn’t stop someone in beta weekend when Sylvari were introduced from kittening about how the Green Knight story “threw the homosexual agenda in their face”.
I can pardon Anet for having very little faith in the maturity of some of their playerbase.
That being said, when people toss around the gay agenda I am shocked about how none of them mention Sieran, I can’t be the only one who picked up on subtle hints she had a thing for the player character, regardless of gender.
Is Funk said, no system will go without punishing people “unfairly”. How long is too long? How long is too short? Who decides what is too long and too short?
In the end you have two options.
1. No system at all
2. A system that works for the most part, but will unintentionally punish unfairly.
LA = A major city in Tyria, however, it is just ONE city and can be easily rebuilt with time.
The Searing = Brought an entire Kingdom to it’s knees in a matter of minutes, turned the waters of the land into tar, turned the once green and lush kingdom into a glorified crater where life barely clung.
The Cataclysm = destroyed an entire culture, removed an island from the map.
This assault, while I like it, is no where near Searing or Cataclysm scale UNLESS it leads to what people are thinking Scarlet’s goal is.
Honestly, I like the skin texture, I just hate how seemingly randomly placed the armor bits are on the female versions and the fact that the “skin” can’t be dyed.
That being said, after talking with my friend, she and I have come up with a proper name for the female sets.

be carefull though with not authorized retailers though. Two recent examples that popped up on the account forum.
1: player bought the game months ago, asked for a refund, bought the game through an unauthorized retailer and attached it to the old (closed) account. Support directed him to the retailer to get a refund and retailer refused.
2: Player bought the game through an unauthorized retailer and he/she sold him a used productkey.
Bottom line, cheap unauthorized retailers are cheap, but not always trustworthy.

My friend’s friend was buying her an account for like 10$ from some shady kitten site with broken english all over the place. Needless to say I went ahead and bought her for from GMG so I could avoid both of them being screwed over.
Anyways, you’ll find that GW2 goes on sale fairly often, so just keep an eye out.

I don’t like this theory, which is admittedly gaining strength, because the ED’s have never been “one to talk”. In the novels they were forces of nature…. it’s hard to see how Scarlet would have an ED voice in her head. I can see Mordremoth corrupting her and Scarlet acting towards the ED’s end, but this always seemed more like what a god would do.
Keep in mind it’s not a new thing for a Dragon to talk. Jormag is stated outright to promise power on numerous occasions usually resulting willing converts, and Zhaitan talked through his minions.
Dragons may or may not “talk” in the way that we do, but they absolutely do “talk” in some way. Plus, we don’t know the nature of Morde, for all we know he/she could be the most intelligent of the dragons.
Couldn’t care any less what happened to LA.

Congratulations, Anet, you’re doing exactly what most people expected you to do, destroy LA. You’re now jumping on the bandwagon that Blizzard started with Catacylsm, ableit a few years late.
And that’s all fine and dandy, but what does that mean for the players? Is LA going to become a new dungeon? Is this a new explorable “elite” area like the Tower of Nightmares was? What’s going to happen when this update is gone, is LA just going to be a smoldering ruin with a few angry mobs that no one will bother going to outside of world completion?
And the most important question of all: Is this the big, epic, sweeping change to the world that will rock Tyria to it’s core? Because if it is…Than once again, I am dissappoint.
It also doesn’t help that this is part 3 of 4 of the finale, and unless there’s some big, epic reveal at the end of it regarding Scarlet’s motives, than hey guess what, we’ll be going into the final update completely blind of what Scarlet’s plan is, and I’m sure you’ll shove it down our throats in one big paragraph instead of telling it a crossed the past year like you should have.
It’s really difficult to get excited for an update when the trailer posted for it has one minute of “Oh look pretty LA views with recap” and 15 seconds of actual new content featured. And as others have said, destroying a capital city in an MMO is nothing new, nor novel.
It would be really nice if we could go back to how things were prior to Origins of Madness, and have a nice preview page of what the update will entail a week before, instead of a minute long trailer that usually doesn’t even show anything other than 10-15 seconds of content.
Everyone already know’s the “big” reveal that’s going to happen thanks to reddit and data miners. Expect the most predictable thing.
Here’s a hint, look at the GW2 logo.
I feel I should point out that, if one spends any time on say tvtropes (or is experienced with stories in general) there is very little one will find unpredictable.
At least, I can’t think of anything that I wasn’t able to predict at least partially in recent years.

I thought we were rooting for more content, not for them permanently removing more chunks of the map for fun. But that may just be me.
We are, but people have also been complaining that the living story has had no lasting changes. Tower of Nightmares was the first sign we the LS was improving in that regard, this may be the culmination.

Considering that no heterosexual couple has been given the same level of attention, this one indeed feels like a forced agenda – just like another generic minority token originating from the absurds of tokenism policy.
Did you miss the whole Logan and Jennah thing?
For a lot of people homosexuality isn’t an agenda, it’s just life… It’s remarkably insulting to have people thinking that the presence of a gay couple in a game is specifically to try and make some statement – have you ever considered that they could just be trying to include members of their playerbase?
i still cant tell if logan and jennah are a couple btw. I mean i read the first book and saw they were heading that way, but i dont know if it ever happened. And im fine with that, it makes sense that our charachters dont exactly know whats going on there.
It’s pretty clear they WANT to be a couple, or at least did at some point, but their duties basically keep them from sealing the deal as it were.
People spend alot of gold to get their human t3 armor and then a better looking model of the set comes out on the gem store available to all races. Everyone who bought that must’ve at least thought it was a little bit weird or wrong that it was available.
If not. It’s your own fault and you are as blind and ignorant as the people at Anet who made the decision to put flamekissed human t3 in the gem store in the first place.
This is kind of my stance, while I’m not going to shame the people who based their outfit around the Flamekissed, one would hope something like that would set off red flags in a person’s mind.
The original blame does land on Anet, however not for listening to the community’s complaints about the set being released a cultural rip-off, but for Anet thinking that releasing a cultural rip-off was a good idea in the first place.
