People told me that you didn’t need to grind much in this game but when i played it, it feels like u have to kill hundreds of mobs just to even level once at low level.
This is a classic case of “doing it wrong” in GW2.
Grab every skill point, vista and POI. Do your story quests. Do every single event you run across. Do every heart. That is how you level in GW2.
If you do this, starting with all low level maps and going up from there, you can reach 70-80 before you even touch the level 50 maps.
I like that classes have some sort of logical and visual “identity” that makes a reasonable amount of sense. I like that light armor looks light, heavy armor looks heavy, ect. I like that thieves aren’t doing insane acrobatics in plate mail while heavily armored warriors run around in cloth bikinis. I know people will always say “Its fantasy, screw realism and logic!” but I enjoy my fantasy to have at least some amount of reason and logic to it.
Right now we can get all our traits for a cost of 3 gold 10 silver. If the new traits, which will all be bought individually, cost a lot as some have speculated (100 g per trait) that would mean a lot of players will not be able to buy any traits.
It’s worth questioning where people are getting this speculation from.
Yet again, screwing around “fixing” something that isn’t broken, that we didn’t ask for.
Guild management tools and guild commander tags.
Auto-loot that works.
Perma noob stealth thieves.
Forging multiple items in one pass, instead of repetitive stress injuries.
In-game moderators to start dealing with the hackers.
Game crashes at the massive boss events.
I could go on and on, but there is no point. You’re not listening.
Removing restrictions sounds intriguing. If it’s all weapons for all classes that’s cool. If it’s all armors too..who would ever wear light armor? Unless they balance it out by heavy armor = more armor, slightly lower stats. Light = less armor but slightly higher stats. Medium armor = balance between the two. Or it’s just using the appearance of any armor you want
Removing armor restrictions would probably only go so far as the skin.
For example, I COULD dress my Sylvari Mesmer in tier 3 medium cultural armor, but it would retain the stats of light armor.
Basically a more free version of the current transmutation system.
I was just about to start crafting ascended berserker armor (for my memser). Would you advise to hold off doing this or do you guys think nothing in this feature pack will change either: mesmer’s using berserker as BiS for pve content or change the way ascended crafting is done (I was planning on buying all the armor padding/linings etc)
I’m quite eager to craft it so I’d only hold off if people are sure it would be the best choice..
While it’s likely zerker will remain best in slot, you lose nothing by holding off as far as I can tell. Really though it’s far to early to really make a prediction on that till more is revealed. A lot of those teasers are very vague and thus extreme wild cards at the moment.
Smart money is wait for all the reveals to go through with the crafting. Maybe craft some of it, but don’t complete the process.
Removing Restrictions: I don’t think something so big as unlocking all weapons for all classes. Possibly something more like letting you transmute the look of any armor to any other type of armor class.
So yeah, they kind of do have a reason to be hated and carefully watched.
Carefully watched? Yes. Hated? No. Scarlet was the cause of all this suffering and pain (and a council that mass effect’s would be proud of). One person should not be a representative of all people in that race/group/ethnicity. I’d also like to point out Zojja fought influence from a dragon champion and succeeded. If anything I’d be wary about the nightmare court and trying to warn Marrik’s people of the coming threat.
It was not a fight against just one sylvari. There were numerous sylvari butchering innocent women and children. The Pale Tree did nothing to stop this, she is complicit.
As characters we did not see Mordremoth awaken. We do not know where it is. Signs point to a jungle area but nothing says it in ‘our backyard’. If the dragon does nothing, why would we do anything? If it has a cataclysmic awakening, then why would it be any different to Jormag or Kralkatorrik. I believe we would go after Modremoth, but not straight away and definitely not in Season 2
Why not in Season 2? It’s true that other dragons in the world are currently awake and do not pose an immediate threat.
But what if Mordremoth poses a huge threat because of the large number of Sylvari in the world? He would need to be taken care of, lest Sylvari players drop dead.
In addition to this, IF Morde is connected to the nightmare, that makes him a far more immediate threat as the heart of the nightmare court is located fairly close to the grove.
And if he is connected to the nightmare court, he is the first dragon shown with the ability to corrupted Sylvari. That does not bode well, especially if Sylvari are Tyria’s response to the dragon threat as some think (myself included)
Uhh, Kiel was at the red knight, along with heal o tron. and evon shut down the gates on escaping people, he kind of deserved it. She also warned her fellow captains, which you can meet them all in the camps.

In fact, it would have been out of place if the ‘scooby squad’ didn’t blow off some steam with a few comments concerning Scarlet’s demise.
I for one do not pity the character of Scarlet. She knew that her plans would involve the deaths of many, many Tyrians. It does not matter that she may have been driven to it. In the end she sought out death, and that is what she got.

I don’t want to be bombarded with marriage requests every time I log in because people get turned on by simulated breasts or are too stupid to realise that in-game characters are completely separate in terms of gender, orientation and age to the people playing them.
This isn’t match.com.
This implies a lack of marriage system prevents people from giving you unwanted attention anyways.
I couldn’t count the amount of times I’ve received whispers from people saying they’d “stick it in my kitten ” if they could, and other …….charming……….messages.

It doesn’t have to be completely garbage like this just because it’s in China. Maybe anet/ncsoft should have had someone else handle it to keep the integrity of their game.
Not every mmo has to be like this in china.
But they often are, this type of thing is pretty common in Chinese versions of MMOs.
Trust me, I’m not saying what is being done with the Chinese version is right, but it’s not really in Anet’s hands.

When I’m coming to the end of the development of a large project, one of the things I do is have the team pour over all the open bugs and make a final list of things that really need to get fixed before we disband the team and push it into really low maintenance mode.

But seriously, fixing a trait that’s been broken since BETA is not a little treat – it’s what should have been done over a year ago.
And significant bugs that last for 1.5 years is not the earmark of a AAA MMO.

i am confused. marjorly had an axe and dagger released and braham had an entire armor set released.
Well, actually, Marjory and Kasmer both got full armor releases.
The Trickster Light(F) is the armor Marjory wears. Phoenix (F) is Kasmeer’s outfit, albeit slightly tweaked I think. Both of which I am shocked at not seeing more often on non-Sylvari humanoids.
I hope this stupid adventure box never returns. And if it does, for those who like it, enjoy.
lol. SAB may be one of the most successful pieces of content gw2 has ever released. The funny thing it is also completely random, so random that it almost doesn’t belong in game, because of how much it diverges from the lore. But the game design and philosophy behind so much of it is what makes it a huge success. Of course they will bring it back, for the 3rd and 4th world, and then perhaps permanently keep it there.

Fun fact: We’re still in the realm of fantasy. All technology in GW2 is fueled by magic, plain and simple. The exception being the rather crude charr technology, it is leaps and bounds inferior to that of magitech (Asuran tech).
If anything, the blending of magic and technology in GW2 makes far more sense. You’d have to be a complete idiot to not blend those two if they exist in the same world.
Also, the Human race is an alien species to Tyria, as are their gods and this has been known since GW1. Think about that.

Trying to find a brighter red to match the glow, but no luck so far. Sadly can’t complete my look till level 4 and 11 for the gloves and shoulders, and when those glowing eyes that were data mined are released. (………yes I bought tier 3 and equipped it on a level 2 >_>)
