I might be in the minority on this, but I really enjoyed the mechanics of the Marionette fight, and I’m actually kinda bummed that it was only a temporary Living Story event. Well, you do become a “honorary” member of a warband in one of the Norn stories if I recall.

It’s not unheard of, just very uncommon. In general the fives majors races seem to be rather forward thinking and open-minded.

Any item requiring 21K achievement points seems completely insane to me. That’s a completely unreasonable amount for a vast majority of the playerbase, at least at this juncture. Maybe in a couple more years it’d be OK, but even then only for players who have been playing the game for a long time.

That is the entire point of a achievement point system, or it used to be, till games started giving you achievements for opening your first door.

It was a reskin of tier 3 human cultural, cultural armor being something that is by design meant ONLY for the specific races as a means of providing an extra layer of uniqueness.

This is why it was removed before and now changed, and why it has been known for months that yes, they absolutely are willing to refund it.

If they had intended a completely new skin, they would have changed the med and heavy skin as well.

Not sure why people expected anything else. That being said I believe it was stated they will hand out refunds for those who are not satisfied.

So, finally getting around to making a charr and I am considering making her a warrior. However, the only real weapons that caught my eye were dual axe (maybe mace also) and rifle. So, my question is rather simple, how do these weapons fair compared to other choices in all areas of PVE and WvW?

Yeah, the annoyance at ranger pets on this boss have made me laugh since i’ve seen more than one platform fail without a ranger in sight and a more than a few with 2 rangers tear through the thing. It just comes down to people knowing the warden and how to beat it, or not knowing and eating it on the platform.

Well, Im not rich, I have 1 legend and no where near another. Been playing since release and never played the market except for a couple of things. I had 5 of the dye’s in my bank including the expensive one. All together I could have sold for about 500 gold to “highest bid” or wait and probably get about 1k gold if I posted a little under lowest selling. I was just about to sell, literally this or next week.

What to say, I can’t really do anything now. I find I need goals in things I do including games and my current goal was to craft another legend and the primary money was coming from these… sucks……

well before the re-release there were only about 10 on the TP and were at almost a stand still. Now there are 50+ with probably many being hoarded so it will be many months until they get remotely close to that price.

The difference with me is Im new to gaming so I don’t panic, I don’t “troll” (new word I learned), I don’t grief the same way you would about real world things…. I simply am saying that it does leave a sour taste in the mouth of “investors”. See the thing about games of any sort is that they are games and are meant to have something within them that is enjoyable for everyone out there. The TP isn’t really why I play the game but I have been slowly looking at it and trying to give it a shot. I was fortunate enough to have something of value and was really happy because I don’t have tons of gold. The little hope I had for a “pay day” is gone for at least several months with the possibility that it won’t reach the same heights it would have. Buyers might simply wait until they re-release again and sellers will be trigger happy to sell, I assume.. And yes, some will keep them but as I said, might be many many months until they reach a high amount.

Anyways, no point going in circles.. ANET broke no rules.. we know that. But sometimes right and wrong goes beyond “rules”, at least that’s what I try and teach my students. They are essentially removing an aspect of the game that im sure many people consider there primary source of enjoyment.

Actually, I recall they rose back up to original value the last time this happened very quickly.

It will be no different this time. A few of them seem to even being starting to climb back up in price already and it’s not even over yet.

As I recall, last time this was done they quickly rose back in price. So yes.

Also as a tip, doing this with BL newly released weapon skins tends to be a smart move also. When the aetherblade pistols came out they were about 40-50 gold. Now they’re almost 300 gold. Of course, your patience is a large factor in your profit.

Depends on what content you play most. Berserker is always a safe bet. Go Zerker trinkets then soldier armor and weapon for WvW. Then when you play PvE you just switch to Zerker gear.

I’d also suggest Knight armor if you want a set for both areas of play. It’s a good middle ground for someone who doesn’t like carrying multiple sets (such as myself).

Im a civil engineer and I Work 60-70 hours a week in the field. I love this game and really enjoy the time I get to play it. Ive got 4 level 80s, two with map completion, all in at least exotics or better. I unload real money on the gem store regularly.

Im getting discouraged by content like tequila and the worm/marionette because I have not completed any of these, not even once. I realize that if I log at the exact right time after guesting to the correct server and sitting in the zone for an hour+ to get a spot then maybe I have a chance to complete these but that’s not realistic for me.

I have a wife and a 3 year old, they need my time too.

At least I have Spvp solo Q, hot join. If it wasn’t for the fact that I don’t have to gear grind to be on equal footing Id have never bought this game. On a side not that’s why I don’t do WVWVW, because of the ascended gear power creep they implemented.

Back before I got a real life I loved to spvp in WAR and later SWTOR and Rift for a time. So I consider myself a kitten fine player.

Please make content for people like me. We are the ones who actually bring money into your pocket with our real jobs and gem store purchases.

cut out the garbage with the power creep gear grind nonsense, make some more content that I as a great player can do on my own schedule without needing to depend on having no life and the stars aligning.

So, they put in a couple of fights that you can’t just queue up for and do “on your time” and by your utter convenience and suddenly this is a big deal? You think you’re the only type of player who plays this game? Plenty of people here are willing to put in the time, casual and hardcore, and try and down these events. Nothing is stopping you except for your own real world commitments which is not anyone else’s problem.

The majority of the game is very casual friendly. It’s not dependant on gear. It’s not a hardcore raid or die game by any stretch of the imagination. Most content is catered towards people like you, and people who just want to take the game at their own pace.

They put out less than a handful of bosses that are challenging and can’t just be done in a night and out come the wallet warriors and people who, with a 60 hour a week schedule, a wife, and a small child, have no business playing a video game anyways.

Geez. Reminds me of WoW, except this time there is no excuse for it, because like I said, this isn’t a raid or die game by any definition of the term.

Actually, based on the fact that stories overlap, it will probably be longer. Could even be for the duration of story finale. I believe Anet said it would remain as long as it made sense for the story.

A casual player doesn’t need Ascended Armour/Weapons at all, as casuals don’t run higher level Fractals.

Plenty of people do fine in all aspects of the game (except high level fractals, of course) without ascended gear. The vast majority of this game is still extremely casual, as others have pointed out.
