look at our defence traitline…..how stacked it is compared to the others. nothing on warrior is placed properly.

that said….warriors really can only spec condi or power resistance. its1 or the other. killingf 1 is dependent on finding what they didnt stack. the class is a mess tbh…..it has stitches and emergency amputation marks all over it. if u mess with its balance ur likely to kill it completely.

but ya rr is clearly op against a mob of power users……but where does that exist? and u have to stun them…..so dont stun them mbe? when u spec for certain situations u should be rewarded…rr might be a bit extreme tho but it has the same kind of impact as cleansing ire so how wpuld it be fair to not nerf ci too? warrior is a mess

anets solution will prolly be to nerf balanced state lololol…they alrdy did with the buff to dolyak signet and stances like berserkers

Its like the Nuk$ weapons stockpile you owned turned to kittens and rainbows. While the guy who build the giant trench bunker is jogging around doing the snoopy dance. Aka the opposite of ww2.

Actually in large scale combat, no one uses condition damage because most guilds have permanent resistance through durability runes and pain absorption + boon duration.

Also I would ask that anyone that disagrees with anything in this post, come up with an alternative because just complaining doesn’t get us anywhere. We need solutions.

1. noone said anything about condi…..except you, stating the obvious.

2. complaining about it IS the only thing that gets us anywhere. Solutions get u nowhere on these forums…..you must be new here. the forums only benefit to players is that they provide an outlet to vent. you can solve the entire game and it will get u and the game nowhere. infact making the best solution and never having it considered is more likely to cause most people more strife than pleasure.

The skirmish description is confusing and I don’t even know if its true or not.
Someone clarify it for me please. From what was posted:

-Skirmish starts: everything u own is the same, the only thing that changes is ur warscore resets for however long the skirmish lasts (1-2hours). At the end of the skirmish ur warscore is converted into a placement: 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and from there you get x many points. At the end of all skirmishes the number of points u win is gonna be tallied. This number is called victory points. Whatever you own at the end of the skirmish is what you will own when the normal warscore starts up again.

Apparently the winners of each week, as normally through normal warscore, get victory points of some unknown number as well.

So with skirmishes this normal victory point score will be augmented with the victory score generated from skirmishes. But we don’t know the rating scale or important winning the week is vs how important winning skirmishes is.

Do I have that all correct? Assuming all that is true…its basicallly just resetting the warscore at any given time during the week for a set amount of time. Meaning that the ability to get points is stilll going to be largely due to “what” you own prior to the start of the skirmish starting. So really if you organize urselves really well in a loser server….and you outfight and out ppt the other “server populations during the skirmish time” ur stilll gonna be at a huge disadvantage since ur server had nothing at the start of the skirmish.
Like what if u own nothing on any map and the enemies have everything else and its all fortified. You start the skirmish with a superior fighting and ppt force…..but by the time you retake ur corner and fight through the sloggy zerg fights you own most of the map but ur ppt is still third place at the end of the skirmish. Really the 1st 2nd and 3rd place servers shouldn’t change at all in skirmishes….3rd place will stay 3rd place in a skirmish too.

Color for Temp Commander

blue would be the best colour for that then since noone sees them anyways. Highjack tag

Basic:
purple could be for Pug groups open come and go, game based communication.

yellow for groups using voicechat and 3rd party communication outside of the game.

Specific:
Red for havoc/roamer groups

Green for independent guild runs

Orange for open join guild runs where anyone can get involved.

It would be cool for anet to adopt guidelines to give to the community, this would allow all servers to adopt such standards. Otherwise…. colour tag specific roles are never gonna be a thing unless you have a realllly realllllly tightknit server. it also means most people will never be able to use all the different colour types, or the colour type they want, when they command.

Turn off Auto Targeting and you’ll never have this issue again.

I don’t think that would fix it unless anet has some weird coding going on. gs3 doesn’t snap to a target i didn’t thin (first time ive heard of that)…..? gs5 goes off in the wrong direction when im not near anything enemy related, and when i hold the “disable auto targeting key”. Maybe u really know what ur talking about, likewise you might have no idea and are just saying something that seems to apply but in reality doesn’t.

I guess I’m talking about duels.

Today I was just trying to do dailies and was killing a guard. Two people came up and started fighting. Well I fought back.

I’m not very good so I thought I would die.

Amazingly, I got one person in a down state. But I noticed the other person was not doing anything.

I finished the one person and was not sure what to do next…so I attacked…..lol I quickly died.

I guess what I’m thinking… either both or one wanted to challenge me in a fair fight or not.

Anyhow how do I know how I should react in a situation like this?

sounded like they were dueling near you and u jumped in and killed 1 of them, and the other stopped fighting when u jumped in. Then after he killed you out of revenge for interrupting the duel.

I wouldn’t really worry about it. if they were close to you as u killed a guard….then they were probably too close to an objective anyways for safe dueling. Just do what you want in the future, if they don’t attack you…..don’t attack them (or the opposite if you plz doesn’t matter).

If you happen upon 2 people fighting in a more secluded spot and it looks like a duel….just let them fight though. Its rude to interrupt them in that scenario.

Presence of the keep – supply extra not working for pretty much every keep now….. off and on

-npc like repair and bank spawning and weirdest and worst places possible.

-getting pulled/attacked through walls…i think u fixed that recently but like cmon….that was fixed a longggg time ago and u broke it again.

-TARGETTTING!!!!!!! Good kittens….this is the worst thing u broke. I use target and target closest enemy and it used to work well….now it can target people behind me or people who aren’t in ur immediate los that you don’t want to target. Its hard enough telling who is targgeted…it used to intuitively target the guy infront of me first now its literally anyone around me. target closest enemy too is pretty crappy lately.

-My rifle shots are disappearing midair when fired at enemies if im on uneven ground. Like fighting by the sentry S of bay…..illl fire and the rounds will disappear in the middle of the air (3 m away from the target) without hitting the enemy…ill jump and they will clear and hit..there is nothing visible blocking them (from players or the terrain) the environment or something is bugged.

-you still haven’t fixed the ram bug yet

-people getting stuck in walls.

Idea for color blind Commander Tag

Being one if the colour blind people what I would like to see is a tag that glows if its the one I am following. Similar to what it does when you cursor over it now except it doesn’t stop glowing.

That would make it super easy to spot always.

This is valid, all the other requests are not valid. Were not gonna put a giant COMMANDER text wall ontop of everyones map for the sake of one human defect.

Still waiting on the delay bug on Earthshaker to be fixed so that hammer becomes viable for vanilla warriors again. was fighting a hammer warrior today in ranked, and he was actually really good, but the poor guy could not land earthshaker because it delayed for like a second and a half when he cast it. so he just stood there like a moron. He did all his rotations perfectly otherwise.

whens the delay on gs3 gonna go away? always a good second where i can get rekt. used to be able to combo whirlwind with 3 dodges for total invulnerability before the last major patch 1-3 months ago…..add in an endure pain and endurance regen shenanigans and its a good 10 seconds of invulnerability.

Stronghold - New Map

I thought stronghold was an entirely new mode for HoT users (pvp, wvsw and now something new). When I found out it was that pvp map i’ve played a few times……was not impressed. And the fact they gated this map behind the expansion as a selling point…not impressed. Its just a basic pvp map its really not all that amazing or interesting.
For what it is though….its funner and more interesting than most pvp maps although I still agree its far from amazing or spicy compared to basic pvp maps.

In a keep fight it’s not difficult to lose more than 5 people in a blob… This would make it nearly impossible to flip a defended keep. Even if it was nerfed to 2 supply per death anywhere within the keep aura seems harsh.

1. Welp I don’t know what kind of tier you play in. In tier 4 this doesn’t happen though, a blob will lose maybe 5 people max/total while they make their way through inside the inner. If they lose more they have already failed their attempt, and will have to try again.

2. you are saying that bouts of 25 supply are gonna make a defended keep impossible to flip? i don’t know what game you are playing but its definitely not the one i’m playing. Lets assume you are right though and 25 supply is a huge deal…..how often would u have to get that 25 supply to make a keep become nearly impossible to flip? 25 supply a minute? 25 supply every 30 seconds? Can you picture how many attackers are dying within the course of 5 minutes to make this a reality? If the attackers are doing THAT badly how on earth were they ever going to get into a properly defended keep to begin with? Have you ever tried to attack a properly defended hills? you are telling me that feeding the enemy 5 people every minute is gonna be the thing that keeps you from taking such a keep?!>!??!?!?.

3. And 2 supply per kill is HARSH? are you kiddding me? What would be okay for you then? 1 suppply? Why is 1 supply not an option then for ur critique? Why did u skip 1 supply and just dismiss the idea completely?

I’ll pass on ur opinion, since it carries no weight to it. Try again, if its a bad idea ur going to have to give some proof/evidence rather than these baseless claims. If you don’t like the idea out of personal taste then you should just say so…..cause these things you are saying are completely ridiculous.

legendary armour could easily let you choose the runes for each piece. I mean its gonna cost ALOT and its endgame….giving u free runes is a realistic expectation. Maybe it will even cost 1 of each rune type to make each piece? easy solutions, IF they bother to address them. They could easily not care and just make them like legendary weapons. Or some other option might come into play….like maybe there is a new item that lets u extract the runes idk its boring at this point to think of how/why…..legendary will be for the skin nothing else.

all siege shields need fixing

can u fire through shield generator shields with an unblockable (like with a bow or ranged weapon)?

with golemn rushes u literally cant do anything since their shields are impenetrable…unless somewhow u get inside the shield and disable them (if u can do that). disablers wont work from within cata shields afterall…7 cata r immune to all siege, disabler, and ranged dmg with bubble rotation

Sarcasm? I mean think about it for a minute. Let’s assume we have revive orbs in the game.

You and ur zerg wipe at bay in the lords. You and ur zerg decide “hey why don’t we sit and wait until the enemy has left, then we revive orb ourselves and take the keep!” So ur zerg in all their infinite wisdom waits…..

The enemy leaves and they are left there alone. They all start and revive orb themselves. What happens when they get up? Well anyone within range of a guard’s aggro is gonna die. Other than that though, sure lets say enough of them aren’t in aggro range and they survive. They sit and wait in the keep and when the effects wear off….they heal their dead and voila you have a new zerg back where they fell ready to take the keep.

What happened in all that time though? You ‘wasted’ all that time sitting there…when you could have just ported and travelled back to the point where you died in a similar time frame. Maybe the people who wiped you pushed past to the other side of the map within that time frame though and ur fine with sacrificing all those points for the objective, maybe you take the objective u spent all the time on. Maybe its a win.

And yet all the defenders need to do to wipe you is have 1 person sit and guard the dead zerg. Maybe the zerg chances it and a handful of them make it out alive..just think of all the time they wasted doing that operation to get a handful of zerglings back to life. They could have ppt’d multiple towers or another keep in all that time. Having an entire enemy zerg docile like that…and “out of action” trying to revive themselves inside a keep is a huge plus for the defenders. All it takes is 1 guard….and in return an entire zerg worth of players is gone from the enemy forces. If you have maxed ur que on a map at 80….and 30 are sitting there trying to revive while 1 enemy keeps them dead….what does that do to ur side’s overall combat abililty? It destroys it completely.

Or even easier lay traps ontop of the dead bodies.

Its not as simplistic as you seem to think it is. Body guarding is a thing, it would still be a thing with revive orbs.

If ur zerg is way into enemy territory and it wipes…..all u need is 1 player to survive and you can revive ur entire zerg! But having 1 person guard the bodies….that destroys that avenue completely. revive orbs would simply automate the process that already exists in the game….the counter to such a process is the same that already exists!

See how fun and how much exploring you can do when you put some thought into an issue?

Druids are overpowered in wvw

You’re not supposed to ignore the pet, you’re supposed to deal with them too. That’s the entire point of them as a mechanic.

Its impossible not to mention highly impractical though like choppy said. I’m fully aware of bunker druids and ive on many occasion killed both the pets and then targetted the druid. Even then the window it gives you makes the process pretty fruitless. I think killing the pets gave me a victory one time in the past, the other times the fight was going nowhere and i just gaveup. The option of killing both pets makes fights last way longer than they should. There’s a difference betweeen fighting a good p layer for 5 minutes nonstop and spending 4 minutes killing 2 pve creatures and 1 minute finihing off the druid.

How does this game work?

You should ask the squad which teamspeak they are in/using if you desire to follow along more closely and can deal with teamspeak bickering. They should be keeping you informed via squad chat though especially if its open join (you are allowed to join the squad). You can always inquire in squad chat (always) or party chat (if they are all in the same subgroup) on where they went if you get lost.

Thanks for that answer. Why would an entire squad change borderlands? To raid supply?

Each borderland offers the same in terms of gameplay. Meaning each borderland is equal in its importance for the generation of points (more or less). Moving from one to another is generally something people do when they are “stuck” (unable to advance in the current bl), or “moving to defend” (defend something of value in another borderland under attack). There is no objective reason not to change borderlands given players are just as important on one compared to another. The game gives incentive to hold certain objectives that are upgraded or important (keeps/castle)….so things get a bit more complicated if you take that into consideration. From a simplistic perspective though….you can make any borderland your home borderland and each borderland gives the same amount of points so there is no reason to stick to any “one” borderland. Rotating borderlands is the key to success.

What box? probably one of the third boxes (replace emergency wp or presence of the keep), if nerfed a bit then maybe it can replace one of the banner boxes or chilling fog

For? Probably keeps and castle only

Description:
Every enemy kill within the radius of the obj’s aura grants 5 supply to the obj’s supply cache. This number could be changed to +3,4 instead pending on testing.

Intent:
Gives fight guilds the ability to look after and help ‘fix’ damaged objectives without having to spend time running supply to do repairs. Would be a case of: fight guild arrives to defend an objective that is reeeling ( 0 supply about to fall), they fight and wipe the enemy at lords (group of 30×5 supply = 150 supply to help repair inner quickly and move on). Bl who defend well and secure victories are punished each time the enemy repeats the attack, given how defense wear out, this would help reward defenders a little bit when they secure major victories. Note also if its in the third boxes it replaces other potentially more useful upgrades like emergency wp and presence of the keep….if we weigh the benefits and costs from that perspective it doesn’t seem very OP (on paper anyways).

Problems?
People running into a keep and dying to grant their enemy supply? This is no different than feeding the enemy kills over and over to increase ur bl’s ppk. You could argue that the combination of this upgrade AND ppk would incentive people to do this more/again. I would argue that since ur attacking a keep…ur doing the feeding in a very visible place and it would make ppk abuse very very easy to report and punish (unlike before when they used to do it in OS and more isolated spots).

I’d gladly play for the game I want to play. This would require some pretty ground breaking changes though…alot that most people would not share. I cannot imagine anet ever making this into the game I would pay for though….lol. So the reality of the situation would be no i would never pay for a changed version of wvsw, but i would pay for a different game that gave me a balanced and dedicated experience.

What borderland has been the biggest loser since the Beta first started and pairings got introduced?

For NA I would say Darkhaven, on the basis they have been given the losing team every week in the lowest tier (tier 4). They’ve been third place every single friggin week (except once in the first pairing period i believe), and this third set (although they were 2nd for a while) it looks like its gonna stay exactly the same way for the next few months.

Honestly I’m curious why they gave FC to Yaks bend and not to NSP+DH+?. YB still dominating T4 easily in numbers and coverage on every map. NSP would be first place if they did this, YB second, and Hod+ebay+? 3rd, but at least DH wouldn’t be in the pits again.

RIP DH, feel free to move to Ehmry bay, ours was definitely the most natural pairing to date imo (ur players are exactly like ours) although we were losers together haha (through no fault of our own).

voted for it. love it many times more than alpine even with the nerfed pve changes. I really think they should undo the changes to fire keep….noone with 1/20th of a brain is gonna die to the lava or falls anymore. I like that it looks more ‘opened up’ but alot of the changes there were overboard handholding.

I mean if you wanna nerf pve deaths go to garrison on alpine and fix that….there are hundreds of ways to fall to ur death. Why should fire keep be changed but garri not be changed? Cause people learned garri and they didn’t learn fire keep, and they complained.

Druids are overpowered in wvw

Druids are pretty much the one thing i can’t burst with my gunflame. I’ll land the hit…they go to 25%, they instant heal. They use that stupid wild leap thing to run when they are in trouble and their pet STAYS ontop of me ccing and doing dmg to me. Then they just use another movement skill to come back to me at 100% hp like they are fully refreshed….and im sitting there with abilities still on cd with hardly anything available to use to defend myself. I played with one of them yesterday…..we did that back and forth 3 TIMES! And finally i decided i was gonna lose the 4th time so I ran back to spawn where i got downed by spawn next to our legendary defenders. They had to fire 3 salvo’s before they killed his stupid pet cause of kitten invulnerabilities.

Srsly fix the pet situation with rangers….random invulnerabilities all the friggin time. I’m supposed to ignore the pets right? Then why can their pet maintain aggro right ontop of me when the ranger is over 2500 range away from me? I wouldn’t be surprised if the ranger is getting ooc and just leaping back to where his pet is mauling me.

We also need to be able to interrupt ranger heals in a meaningful way….interrupting their heal should be a death sentence for them and yet its a “oh lets stealth/run and wait 3 seconds or oh it doens’t matter since my heal can’t be interrupted anyways”.
Should we even rant about thier healing abilities? like cmon…..they seem to make the downed and themselves MORE powerful after getting them up (a process you will not be able to stop without a large force or engie). ITs basically 2 periods of invulnerability for the downed player, and they are just as powerful and hard hitting when they get back up (thanks downed penalty).

I personally would take the downed penalty 24/7 all the time, if in return it gave me 2 separate periods of complete condi clear and invulnerability. who wouldn’t?

Sure. While you’re at it, make Teleport-to-Friend useable in WvW, so you don’t even need to be a mesmer to port your squad into a keep.

Ya that would be something else that could be done instead.

Kind of disappointed noone has commented about the logic of the OP. You are all stuck on the immediate effects and not the long-term benefits, or the logic itself. The logic is sound, whether its revive orbs or teleport to friend or something else of similar consequence…. its irrelevant.

There will be no fix to the mode then, not if the community is in charge, I guess is what this means. As the community is unwilling to compromise on anything that could remotely be seen as threatening. Kind of disappointing, gives you an idea of what anet has to deal with when making any improvement/change. There will never be a decisive and positive revamp to wvsw if the community has enough say over it. Hopefully they make future wvsw community votes more and more narrow than we’ve had to date, that would be best for the mode.

Also, apparently I have to reiterate: I would not want revive orbs in the mode for the sake of having revive orbs in the mode. I only advocate for it since such additions are the best way to move forward, for the better overall, given the current state of the gamemode and the unwillingness to change certain components of it. You should focus on the logic of the argument. If it helps, change the words “revive orbs” to somthing else that has a different effect on the gamemode but a similar overall impact.

There is only the 1 icecream store in town. But if you are willing to buy some chocolate icecream instead of vanilla every so often, the store will be safe. The store owner also assures you that if you do this enough times, chocolate instead of vanilla, then over time they will be able to give you higher quality vanilla icecream in the near future.

What option do you choose?
1. continue to eat vanilla until the store goes under, then drive out of town to get future vanilla icecream risking the potential future quality and comfort of the known store.
2. buy some chocolate ice cream instead of vanilla every so often, so you can continue to get ur vanilla icecream from this store. And in the future you get a higher quality vanilla icecream. You’ll always have to buy chocolate every so often for an indefinitely amount of time though….one day something might happens and you might not have to but for the foreseeable future you will have to.

my movement speed is slowing to under 100% at times in wvsw. I have to kind shimmy back and forth to get it unstuck and back to normal. Like I’ll literally be moving at 50-75% movement speed indefinitely until I do this. I’m running a toon with 100% movespeed base and only swiftness from my signet of rage, so she usually just running at base speed, it happens at base speed not when im at 133% (with swiftness)

edit: I know about ooc move speed being faster…..this isn’t that. I’ll be incombat or out of combat and the speed will be alot lower than what it should be. I just assumed everyone knew about this and would assume i did too? whatever….

You are foolish to disregard this and the potential it would bring to the mode. If not revive orbs then something else of similar value should be used.

Also its not P2W. Its ‘Pay to save time’ = P2ST. Lets not confuse the two. Pve already has P2ST firmly implanted in its skull. WvsW as well has also taken quite a few steps into the P2ST model (guild siege taking less supply, golemns, siege costs in general, commander tag cost, guild upgrades, COMBAT BOOSTERS.etc etc). You understand now? You are already in a P2ST mode. This idea with revive orbs is no different than any of the others, except now its something that will “give back” to the gamemode rather than take away from it.

Yes it is provocative and ‘threatening’ since it confirms what the gamemode is and has become. But once we accept this….we can move forward for the better rather than drowning in ignorance to the bottom of the sea.

You should be happy with ideas like this….!
You can’t help the mode if you can’t admit to what it already is
Most of the other ideas for improvement were ‘seflish’, that is why they failed and why anet disregarded them. This is an idea that accepts what the mode is.

Then last time you posted the NA server relinks as a reply to some1 elses thread instead of ‘editing this one and putting them in’ or ‘making a new post saying they are up’.

Its really a no brainer to do this.

-WE already have to guard corpses….if im defending anything corpse guarding defeated enemies is an active part of that process. People can run along or just sit and stealth spam 24/7 to revive an ally’s corpse.
-Solo roamers are always at a huge disadvantage in this mode, the inability to be rezed while dead has always been a major part of that disadvantage. u stay ded if u die.
-u make some money from gem sales…ALOT of money.

No brainer. Personally I’d go the opposite route and keep the dead…..‘dead’ completely and utterly, but given the design choices made this addition is a good idea.

imagine a zerg wiping and all of them procing a revive orb….ARMY OF THE UNDEAD. Gives the people who killed the zerg an easy chance for double the bags given the penalties after using the revive orbs. Besides the zerg would just wp and be back to where they died in under 30 seconds or less. Really its giving the ones who wiped the zerg the advantage….rather than the zerg who got wiped.

Two words: GEM SALES
Every zerg is gonna want revive orbs! in the course of 30 seconds imagine 50 revive orbs being used in a single wvsw spot.
MONEY AND GEMS. SO MUCH MONEY AND IT COULD BE URS ANET.

For the naysayers….who still say “NAY MELORD!”. If anet is getting a large source of gem sales from wvsw players…..what do you think that will do for the mode? I mean whats the difference between pve and wvsw players and why does one get significantly more than the other? Perhaps it will allow them to invest more money and resources into improving and adding more features to the mode……….

Plenty of classes don’t have the kind of stomp abilities others do though.

Base warrior has nothing to allow them to secure a stomp. Base engie….is the complete opposite.
Ranger has a pet to block cc’s, blinds, stealth
Mesmer has stealth, blind, illusions and crap to keep a downed player downed
Ele has mist form, damage reduction galore they can equip, heavy aoe with no worry
Guardian has its blocks built-in
Rev is close to warrior in its inability to do anything in its base state
necro….aoe’s like ele has…..although not as strong as ele (in all fairness)/minions

Not being able to res fully dead players makes it easier to overcome larger groups now.

My guild have ended fights against overwhelming odds purely via a targeted CC and damage spike on a downed person of importance in an enemy zerg.

1. false, you can rez fully dead players in as few as 4 seconds even in the middle of a huge fight. happens all the time, its very easy to ooc from combat if u kno how. zergs push back and forth and each time they push to a dead body their backline will rez it while frontline lands shields and reflects. the enemy will still be at a disadvantage if they jump to stop this rezing due to the trap/aoe meta. people dont need more than a second to empower and buff their allies….there is no loss to the zerg’s defense and offense capabilities in rezing for 4 seconds…there is only gain in having 1 more person alive.

5 people in a zerg inexplicably dying suddenly, like a /kill suicide command, has 0 effect against impairing or damaging that zerg…at most it grants a 5 second delay to the zerg’s movement before it regenerates…and that is why the meta is frustrating and unfair. its like playing a fps, killing 2 of the enemy players and 4 seconds later the respawn ontop of their bodies with 2 seconds of invulnerability…..then once u kill them u have to kill them again to make them dead dead…but then the cycle repeats another4 seconds later.

its a case of managing movement and cooldowns. any victories at the start of a fight can be completely negated 10 seconds later, and people find that frustrating. every enemy enjoys a total victory or every enemy dies…regardless of how well u play.

2. if u can end a fight this way the enemy is alrdy losing, training, inexperienced, or much smaller than ur forces. small group fights can be ended nicely by bombing a downed player tho if ur specd for that, large fights tho….no thats not what wins a fight.

When does this food type work exactly….

-When I have auto run on does it work?
-when im walking does it work
-when im jumping or midair does it work?

There is only 1 position when some1 is not moving…and thats when they are stationary (not using any of the movement buttons i.e. turn, strafe, jump, look behind).

Playing on my berserker with gs+rifle

Certain movement based attacks don’t work like gs3, gs5, gs2 (as noted on the wiki)
Rifle F1 killshot shouldn’t work either. Rifle 4 probably doesn’t work either.

But will all the other rifle/gs abilities work as long as I’m….‘moving’? ANd like I asked, what constitutes moving?

I find it hard to test properly….since the damage numbers im getting from the log aren’t much different from when im not using it which doesn’t really make sense….given 10% damage increase = about 300 power in my build. Not sure if its glitched or not always working or if im missing something.

Also is there a way to know when rune of the scholar’s 6th ability is working? like i have 20k hp so that would mean if im 18k or higher its working…..but the numbers i get don’t always support this. extra hp in wvsw from claims and stuff or food, do those throw it off or glitch it?

Have an enemy with a block.

I have an unblockable i can use it bypass that block.

I’m using a ranged weapon.

The attack im using, we’ll call it ‘1’, has a windup time

If i want the first attack to bypass the block what is the latest time i can proc the unblockable? The unblockable doesn’t have a windup, its instant on proc.

Unblockable>press 1> animation windup > fires =hits

but what about the other scenarios? like procing it after u hit 1….during the animation windup phase?

Does the unblockable only work on attacks that are keypressed before the unblockable is proc’d? Or is there exception? my own experiences seem to indicate an exception with maybe some weapons or attacks or longer windup times, but its hard to test/tell.
Is there a pve enemy that always has block on it so i can test properly?

ive seen other condi users use rifle in the past. worked for them.
Its gunflame, rifle 2 4 5 that are useful. Engage with rifle, throws them off with what ur running…..when they get close switch and lay in the pain. When they run switch to rifle and gunflame them.

I agree, a very simple easy solution is to NOT have the enemy be invulnerable when downed and rez’d. The combination of the 2 wastes so much time and so many attacks when ur trying to secure a kill……it often happens over and over on the same player. if it happens 3 times on the same player….thats 6 phases of invulnerability they get! and each phase is just over 1 second of time.

WHY SHOULD SOMEONE DYING GET OVER 6 SECONDS OF INVULNERABILITY FOR FREE?

that pretty much sums it up. Double or Triple the numbers on each side and u have the basic “small group vs enemy zerg scenario”. You’ll need a dedicated “downed state killer” in ur squad who’s role is to secure kills…so basically a daredevil or mesmer with a warp bomb. But the enemy is likely to have 2-3x as many of the same thing running….so ur screwed.

I often fight 3vs1, I can down all 3 of them but I know ill die if i don’t leave at that point. You cannot secure the kills in this meta with a warrior. Stability….stability gets rekt by ur opponents downed abilities if you happen to still have it when u down them (unless ur dolyak signet). Just today I came upon a camp, where the ring was up…saw what looked like 2 enemies (1 was necro), fought and downed them both but then it turned out there were 3 enemies. I was still 80+% health at that point, but i had no stability left and only healing signet for condi clear. I had no choice but to run at that point without even attacking the third enemy, I knew I would die if i stayed to secure the kills and/or prevent them from taking the camp.
1. i had to stay in the ring with the 2 downed players and third alive and well player
2. i had no stability left to secure a flag plant on either of the downed
3. i had only endure pain and healing signet as my sustain along with 20k hp

It sounds completely ridiculous that anyone should have to run at that point….giving the enemy both the camp and their lives even after defeating them, but thats how this game plays.

Honestly why can’t downing the enemy grant u stability? I feel like this should be a warrior trait tbh….replace one of the useless ones we have. At this point I feel i might have to take rampage as my ultimate and only use it once i down my enemy…lolol.

-You can be pulled from the oil pot to ur death
-can’t use ur utility skills while on the oil: stability, damage reduction, condi clear
-aoe gets through the oil shield
-oil shield acts as a block, and unblockables can get through it….unlike golemn shield
-after activating the oil shield it puts the other ability on a long kitten cd
-the aoe radii of the oil abilities is too small considering the other points
-oil does kitten damage to rams and siege and players
-oil 2 is a worthless skill (cripple), make it drip down across the gate like dragon banner5
-the range of the oil is too small considering the other points
-the supply destruction rate of the oil is too slow considering the other points.
-What good is damage reduction. when traited for oil, when u can be pulled and suffer both fall damage and kittenrapier and always suffer condi and aoe dmg.

Yb ppting way harder than u guys were able to in T4. Out of the 3 (cd/yb/sbi), sbi is still the one that belongs the most in T4.

Look at the scores SBI had when fighting in T4. It was higher than what CD ever reached and higher than YB right now and is currently beating SoS as well as CD clearly. CD belongs in T4 the most and I see nobody but you that doesn’t agree with that. But it will change with new linkups anyway.

Maybe you should do some actual research…..

well i guess that explains why dh has been able to get to 2nd place for most of this week so far in t4….and it also explains why yb is pppting like crazzzzy since last reset.

but why do you have to reset the scores? Not that anyone understands what score does or what not but its annoying still that u would kinda do this especially when dh has a chance of getting in 2nd place for the first time since the 2nd mergers….and the 2nd time overall since the 1st mergers (i think thats right).

Like when SBI was in T4? Yeah, balance was indeed a myth…

The Sniper

I proc all the signets in my downtime to start the 5 stacks of precision buff. Then I’ll set healing signet to auto use on my gs while i roam and get to my enemy. This will allow me to maintain the stacks so I have +500 precision when i finally get to my enemy and start attacking without having the signets on cd.

Basically: Find enemy. Proc healing signet or save it depending, get incombat then activate signet of fury and initiate berserker and gunflame asap. Even if the gunflame misses its still better to do it this way (in general), against competent enemies who u know will dodge u initiate with volley first and then gunflame after they dodge. Regardless though they will have wasted 1-2 dodges. Use volley next while moving backwards/forwards. Always keep ur distance from the enemy unless they are low. Rifle does all the damage so never switch to gs unless u have to. To Proc incombat consider keeping a pve creature alive near u and get it incombat…just kite it while waiting. If no other way generally initating with rifle 4 is a good idea since it will proc incombat and give u distance+vulnerability+cc on ur target to allow u to burst without getting shot at generally. Kill with the gs if its safe and u need the killstacks.

Try to keep above 18k hp (ill have just over 20k hp with the other wvsw buffs even tho it says 19k in the build editor) to keep ur +10% damage active.

If the enemy is a thief or some kind of melee user and they get ontop of you….switch to gs at the right time and gs3+hydromacy immediately or gs2+hydromacy if u have endure pain available. The burst from this will generally be enough to down many enemies that, upon closing the gap and negating ur rifle, will be surprised and dead within seconds.

Weakness:
-condi
-heavy cc
-rangers in particular are hard since pets block gunflame shots and they have 6 second invulnerability ANd TAUNTS GALORE…..taunts will single handedly get u killed many times if not careful. Plant bind also is a killer.
-condi chrono also difficult if u can’t keep ur distance or control the flow of the battle
-cannot flag plant
-no sustain, u must tank any dmg u dont dodge

Strengths:
-kills in shortest possible time (short fights one way or the other)
-1 shot kills even without being incombat upon start (a lvl 2 killshot will take down many enemies).
-ability to actually kill people in a zerg when ur running solo, still hard but u can do it with this much dmg.
-100% crit rate pretty much, easy to build adrenaline on the rifle
-ur gunflame does a fair amount of condi damage at times (good for anyone who barely survives a burst and ports/stealths away with low hp…they will BURNNNNNN)

Usage:
-Backline
-Solo roam

Use the predator skin if u have it since it will make reading ur gunflame, and even ur berserker mode if done right, hard to read.

Alternative foods: seaweed (lvl 80 variant but expensive), or golden dumplings if running in a group since boons are lifeblood in many situations.

Alternative sigils: make a night rifle…put sigil of night on it instead of sigil of force. Honestly i hate sigil of force but there aren’t many other options for direct damage/burst….so i use it anyways on my day rifle. +5% damage = basically 150 power, with this build anyways.
