OKay I changed my mind a bit.
OMEGA GOLEMN RUSHES WHEN OUTNUMBERED.
HOly hell this is insanely powerful. 6 Omega in a zerg will melt a fortified keep…..and make repairing the inner gate downright impossible. We got rushed by YB with this on ebg last night. It was insane…i could not dump any supply on the inner gate without dying. Golemns are insanely high hp pools. If you can’t wipe the enemy on the ground, you honestly can’t defend against this kind of a rush. Keep siege does not do anywhere near enough damage against golemns or zergs to inhibit them. GOlemns bubbles are impenetrable even while using an unblockable.
The kicker here? Once they got the keep…..they just repaired the golemns with all the supply we had left in it (honestly all 500 supply was there for them to take probably). in other words…..nothing we did defending and any damage we did to the omega has 0 effect.
TL;DR: ONCE OMEGA GOLEMNS ARE BUILT. And used by a zerg too large to fight in open combat……the whole map is basically yours. The healing meta now applies to siege and the state they start the ktrain in…will be the state they end the ktrain in. That is insane….i can only imagine an army of omega golemns ALWAYS on standby (always being repaired and refreshed) ready for zerg usage. No effort required…lol its hilarious. You blob with the golemns……and u just blob against the gates and blob against the lord. No amount of defensive siege is gonnna stop this kind of tactic. And yes….we would have been able to defend against them if they hadn’t been using golemns. With golemns tho….its impossible to disable and build effective defensive siege….and its even impossible to attack their tail since the golemns have shield bubbles and heals going off all the time. Very very very effective k-train strategy, and siege hammers make it pretty much unstoppable. I was amazed how fast a fortified keep’s walls and gates melted to this kind of tactic. When we spotted them planting rams and committing to the inner gate and we went to grab supply to heal the gate it was already 75%, By the time I heal and grab more supply and come back…its 50%…..then there is so much aoe and damage on the gate that repairing is gonna get me killed. And disablers are too ineffective against golemns to be used. disabling the rams delays the inevitable….there is no way to take out the rams with so much golemn and ele/necro aoe on the walls clearing every possible a/c and siege weapon. And any siege we get up….is of course worthless. It takes at least 3 superior ac firing nonstop on those rams to make any kind of impact on their offense. And at least 75% of prebuilt siege is gonna be taken down in the first 1-2 minutes of attack. Our own repair hammers cannot keep up with enemy aoe damage while incombat.

barely used them. bought like 12 and i slowly go through some of them every so often. Basically use it for repairing siege AFTER an assault. Can’t imagine sitting there during an assault defending some1 else’s a/c or whatever…burns supply very fast and ur basically wasting ur contribution to defense when u do this. man a different ac….get on the wall and fire….throw disablers….assault from teh ground…aoe things. heal people….i mean there are countless other roles that do wayyyyyyy more than repairing an ac.
the hammer is aoe which is kind of nice so u could repair mbe 2 a/c in a pivotal spot where more a/c couldn’t be placed….perhaps.
Underwhelming addition tbh…..but it does stuff so sure keep it in the game.
Vanilla gw2 was awesome. The combat and everything was awesome in vanilla gw2. ty for vanilla gw2 it was amazing.

Bloodstone fen map is a very very very pretty map. whoever did the colours and what not for that deserves high praise.
Well Bloodstone Fen and recent patches are promising, if it goes on like that, this will probably just be remembered as a little stumbling stone in GW history, who knows.
ya. bloodstone fen was a great success overall. i think they totally dropped the bomb on its replay value…its just another ktrain map now. But a few minor changes cvoukd easily change all that for future maps.
Plus why not add dynamic events to a map? weather systems and day/night cycles and events that make the map weorth roaming around randomly….rng events hehe. just combine sandstorm/day/night into 1 map…….the expansion could literallly be just 1-2 maps if they do this…..addd some story and sell it for 1/2 the price of HoT

bro ur not gonna find anything other than misery if u compare warrior skills to other classes…..if there is something comparable ours is gonna be worse than theirs. Thats why our meta builds have mostly warrior exclusive traits in them.
Gs still gives you more defense than a shield will (for player vs player)…..which I find absolutely hilarious.
I mean gunflame…u got ur rifle doing all the damage. And ur alt u just gonna want mobility and defense for it to run away…travel….and kite the enemy when needed. What’s the best weapon for doing this? Its gs. lol. Which just so happens to be the best weapon for melee damage as wellll….(conspiracy? o.O).
Anyways shield on a warrior is a very good weapon when you DON’T compare it to shield of other classes. I mean thats what u have to keep in mind. The cd could be better tbh….i would like the shield master cd decrease to be the baseline tbh. But ur gonna be taking defense line anyways if u are using a shield (honestly i cannot think of a viable build that takes a shield but doesn’t take the defense traitline) so it is passable.
Shield mastery really saves the shield tbh from being a subject of scrutiny. That might on block was always amazing…the reflect was even better. Shield mastery gives u 3 things. Most traits will only improve upon a weapon 2 ways….and this is a tier 1 trait unlike forceful gs which happens to give 3 ways and it tier 2. Shield is great. If they nerfed out shield tho ……we would have something to complain about and we would complain was hard as you are presently in ur OP. But right now….just don’t look at the other classes
Take what we can get, and what we get from shield is borderline awesome as far as im concerned.
We lack the group and aoe abilities which HoT made meta…but thats another story.

infact the best RNG thing i’ve gotten was a ghost pepper node from a random bl chest key i found killing ogres in wvsw oneday. which i sold for 80g or something….NOT TAKING INto account the tp fees.
2nd best thing ive found was a gs in ascalon dungeon with celestial stats that was worth 20g last i checked on the TP.
So no luck at all with RNG. Then again I spend most of my time in wvsw…so..ya. Did all the pve that gw2 launched with on my 1 character…..and only did a bit here and there with other characters and haven’t done map completion for all the hot maps yet since i don’t care. or raids yet. dungeons ive done everything on….cept running them all a million times, only run a few of the a million times. prettttttty boring.
Managed to craft 1 legendary on a whim…the predator. now im broke again and can’t imagine farming all that stuff again to make another….not gonnna happen.

Because the GS trait and food have no cooldown and 1s cooldown respectively, you should be critting often enough that you can fit 25 procs within 6+Might duration seconds.

with 100% quickness uptime yes this is all probably true per every 6 second interval. but some1 50% slower…no.
can prollly hit 20 might stacks eventually after way more than 6 seconds of whack-a-mole.

ya #4 blows on almost everything. shield bash the one exception. rifle 4 is decent, yet awkward and contradictory.
Signet of humility is the least of ur problems if this is a big deal for you. Honestly go and learn the moves you get as a moa, it will help alot especialy the run one.
Getting double moa’d is a sure death for many people but at least it has a 180s cd…..plenty of others things that are a sure death for many people that have 60s cd.
Getting really really tired of downing 1 person and then them being instantly revived by another.
Did a 1vs2 against daredevil and guardian. When thief got downed the guardian did something to instantly rev it.

Then I got to thinking…..what is the ideal kill order for this and future situations?
Rev, warrior, engie, mesmer, guard, ele, thief, necro……If I was fighting any combination of these classes, and they were all the same skill level, who should I focus fire first and in what order?
Today’s experience indicates that DH is probably near the top of the list.

its not as bad when u finally figure out how everything works in the event. Just the lack of information and wiki entries is one of the main problems. If everyone knew exactly how the event worked…they wouldn’t care enough to complain about the other many problems it has lol. Just do it…i farmed bloodstone fen while waiting in a squad. Find a squad doing them…join it. Go farm and wait for them to callout where/when the creatures spawn….do them….go back to farming….repeat. Hopefully ur squad will call out the enemies before they are below 50%….had to jump through hoops to find a 2nd arc because they didn’t call it out properly the first time.
Anyways the reward for the whole thing is cool enough. Ive done it….won’t be doing it again lol. Less to complain about now, but it needs alot of work still. The concept is cool just….it just needs some major work and clarity.

Necro have some very good zerg support skills though. Freeze and condi bombs and what not.
would be cool if all warriors were allowed 1 physical skill slot in their builds. I mean if I designed warriors from the start id probably have give done this from the start.
How about the trait “dual wielding” and when going berserk? would it be a combined 30% attack speed?
That’s actually an interesting point. That would be very very stupid if it didn’t.
The very idea that none of the warrior’s attack speed increases stack is rather stupid with 15% attack speed being one of berserker mode’s primary abilities.
This is happening with my gs 5 too. It sends me backwards or sideways or every direction BUT to the target. .__.
ya ive had this as well a few times……died each time it happened cause it made me go backwards into the giant zerg each time. I have G binded to the ‘untarget all enemies’ so i just hold G+5 and it lets u go straight in the direction I am facing. Since the patch though it sometimes sends me in the opposite direction of what I am facing….again nothing is targetted, so thats not the reason. I alrdy mentioned it in the previous thread by all my gs attacks are much much laggier and have higher latency since the patch. i also used to G+5 away from an enemy and then target them and it would let me 180 turn and send charging towards them while still in the channel…..i can’t do this anymore since ls3 tho. Which really sucks.

Id like to see the dolyak escorts kill someone.
The key to defence is to plan for it BEFORE the objective is attacked.
Supply traps – place them, renew them if they drop.
Ninja attacks on enemy held objects with 5 people- even if you die, if you breech the wall or gate then they need to spend supplies repairing.
Trebs – place in defensive spots so you can take out enemy cats/ballys. Place supply traps on likely cat spots. Trebs drain supplies very fast, make sure the person firing it knows to use cows and is traited.
If you expect to defend a tower by running into it when’s it’s already under attack and start building stuff then, it’s not going to happen against a zerg.
Too many servers don’t use disruption tactics to drain enemy supplies, then are surprised when 10 golems come knocking on the keep door…
Or just surrender the map and wonder off to another one and flip there until they come back to defend then move again and split your forces onto several objectives so their zerg is much less effective.
This all takes work and co ordination and that’s sadly lacking these days on most servers, where most are lazy zerglings and just want to steamroll the opposition with their 70 man ts guild driven blob.
Can’t really tell if ur explaining what u have to do in the current system. And/Or if u are validating the current system. The point of the thread is to question whether or not the system is valid. And it isn’t, there really is no room for debating the topic anymore.
Almost all the things u listed are not viable given the defender:attacker ratios. The only thing that is valid is the ‘abandon everything you have and go to a diff bl to k-train’.
Sadly though we are not crows, and are not going to scavenge through some1 elses leftovers. The most important things in the game are waypoints and certain guild upgrades like presence of the keep. Noone is going to abandon these things so we can ‘guerilla’ k-train flimsy towers and camps all day…running away whenever the enemy zergs spot us. That is not fun. Everyone deserves a home they can defend, thats what keeps people playing. If its a drop in and ’go where the towers are flimsiest and undefended" ….people will lose interest in the mode completely since that is a boring process.
The system is boring when u can’t make an impact by defending. The system is boring when you can only make an impact by attacking. THe system is boring when you can’t own anything. The system is boring when everything u do has 0 impact. The system is boring when you beat an enemy and can’t kill them. The system is boring when you are always 3rd place and ur enemy is always first and ur enemy gets waypoints…..upgrades….stat increases…..‘healthcare’…..giant zergs….bankers…repair stations….everything basically, and you have nothing other than urself and a few willing teammates. The system is boring when you are treated this way, not for lack of trying.

Defending in T4 is one of the most pointless things ever atm with the changes. Offensive siege is twice as powerful as defensive siege with the changes made.
You have any idea how painful defending is against giant zergs in T4? When the k-train comes we have to abandon our entire bl. Huddle in garrison and start sieging the kitten out of it. And pray that they go watergate….since its the only thing that our defensive siege can actually defend.
We do wayy way wayyyy more damge with direct attacks on the enemy siege. Funny thing about that is….they can hit our defensive siege on the walls. We CAN’T hit their offensive siege since they are either ‘proxy cata/ram’ or they have so many people and bombardments going off that its impossible to fire from the wall and not die.
Plus what’s the point in defending again? Defending is when u can’t wipe the enemy in ground combat. It seeks to keep the enemy out by destroying their supply. I mean you can’t kill anything…there’s 2 r more of them for every 1 of you and they rez their downed and killed in seconds. Killing and downing some of the enemy has absolutely 0 effect. You kill them all or you keep them out. WE can’t kill them all cause of the healing meta. WE can’t keep them out cause we can’t waste their supply.
Just….whatever, I cannot follow developer logic since HoT. You can’t keep placing the blame on why ur changes fail on population imbalances. Start making changes that are ‘designed’ to work. You gonna fix it or not? Simple question that deserves a simply answer: yes or no?

attended one of those ‘training’ raid things that are apparently a thing. since i wanted to just try out a raid and see what the big deal was.
Upon joining they asked me which class i was playing…i said warrior. And then they were all on about how they probably have too many warriors (3-4 ttl), and that they needed tempests. I asked them why it mattered and they harped on about how they wanted to get to show everyone the final part of the raid. Then they suddenly said "ty "name"" and kicked me.
So…….just kinda flabberghasted by that. Supposed to be training…for fun and learning and kicks. Regardless of how good a player I am though i’m not allowed to join cause I’m a warrior…? isn’t the goal of raids to do as much damage as possible within a timelimit? warriors don’t do damage? tehy don’t provide daamge for the team? they don’t tank? they don’t have condi? like….screw ur meta its training and i want to play. As long as I’m a good player and running a fully geared char I should be allowed to play in a training session….no? i feel i got kicked cause other players are inadequate at fighting…and they need supports and the proper meta so everyone can get away with pressing ‘1’ to win.
I mean is that really good design to create a game where to play in the different modes you have to have multiple chars and classes? thought the point of hot was to expand on each class so they each fill enough roles that they can be relevant in any part of the game.
tldr: Mentors are lame if that’s how this has got to go down.

my mouse doesn’t have side buttons….which having 2 of them helps alot with warrior and other classes. i bind dodge to my mousewheel (mouse3) click. so clikc mousewheel down and it proc’s the dodge. i could bind something to mouse wheel up and down i suppose but i have a hard time with that stuff.
if ur gonna go warrior the hardest problem i can see is the f1/f2 binds…..even i don’t have any other keys to put them on since my mouse doesn’t have left/right clicks and my keyboard is already full up with the other binds. kinda hard to position those keys….idk if gamepad makes it easier or not, who knows. a mouse with buttons on the sides would help you alot though probably. i don’t know if any other classes have less key binds but know that playing warrior will takeup all ur keyboard space….and leave u wanting 1-2 more easy to reach keys (like on ur mouse).

Your point is irrelevant. I wasn’t saying SBI was bad or that CD was better….so get that out of your head. I was referring to the ‘balancing of tiers’ component. Whether SBI is able to get more ppt then CD in the T3 is irrelevant. CD finished a very very close third in the tier in their first week there….that’s a 100% success story right there in terms of balancing tiers. And SBI has been very fightable in T4 thus far while CD was almost always untouchable in T4.

Where did I even try to refute SBI was bad or CD was better or claim you said anything of the sort or even bring up the matter? Where did that even come from? You just went off on your own tangent and somehow derived that all from a single sentence. Good thing I don’t generalize a group of people based on a post, otherwise it would seem nobody on your end knows how to read.
You said that SBI was more suited for t4, but they won t3 and CD didn’t. I just brought up a fact to suggest that statement may not be accurate. I didn’t even say you were wrong, so it looks like being sensitive is being a projection. Sure, you can dismiss it based on whoever PPT harder but we do have certain facts as reference. And PPT is still a good indicator of population.
It’s simply a matter of discussing coverage and score, which have little to do with skill rather than ancedotal pvf that is popular these days.
And of course, I know we’re more suited for being t3 then CD atm, because I’ve seen what happens in t3 and t4. Have you? You have to remember that WvW is a 24 hour game mode, and thus while you may be enjoying a great deal of success during the time you play, it might be incredibly boring for people that don’t play during that time period. For example, in T3 people during the late NA timezone can fight with SoS for sure.
Finally, a lot of our regulars simply logged off when they saw the matchup. So you’re going to get a lot of casual fairweathers and people looking to PPT out of the tier. Naturally the zergs are softer. Well, even more so.
Are you writing this to convince me or yourself? Cause you ain’t succeeding on either account. Yer gonna have to play alot better to convince anyone other than ur SBI frats that you belong in T3. There are only 3 spots, and CD is way more qualified than your server at this point, and you know it.
When you go into berserker mode it says it increases attack speed by 15%. Was wondering if, when you also have quickness, whether the 50% and 15% stack in any way?
We get a few second quickness by default….and there are other ways to ‘get’ quickness and have it running at any time during berserker mode.
Are movement skills capped at 150% speed? Well, even if they are capped warrior’s extra 15% maybe wud stack in some way as an unintended ‘feature’.
Regardless, ANYONE KNOW? 165% attack speed would make warriors the fastest atttackers with stuff like axe would it not?

We in SBI have been artificially placed down at T4 now for the second week and we are bored out of our minds. As well as our score now is dropping as a consequence. And this is after winning T3 two weeks ago. We want good fights (which we had in T3), not stupid karma trains (pretty much all we have in T4). Please fix ASAP. We did not deserve the drop, and it was only your (Anets) meddling which caused it in the first place.

Each portal can transport a total of 20 people. A really good couple of mesmers can increase that to get the entire zerg in.
However, that presumes that no one is watching for the glow/sound of the portal and none of the defenders are spamming marks and wards and wells and such on/around the site. It presumes that there’s no possible way of attacking the mesmer or the incoming zerg.
To me, it’s an interesting tool, with built-in delays and limits and with plenty of counters.
alot of aoe only hit the thing that springs them tho, and the others have a very small uptime upon proc for others who enter after. And of those alot can be disabled with dodges or blocks by the first user who enters them.
Besides how easy is it to send in a patsy to disable and waste all the enemy traps, and then send the zerg in right after since the uptime is so long. or better yet have that and then have everyone take a second portal to wipe the now trapless/aoeless victims.
counter strats r lacking for portal bombs given how versatile they are. the counter shouldnt be half ur zerg’s utility skills. portals are literally 1 skill. 1 utility skill should not be countered with 20 utility skills. thats insane.
1 skill that can disrupt an entire zerg….is kind of a big deal. the built-in delays and counters are nowhere near enough.
-Change waypoint system.
-Decrease survivability of downed state for all classes.
-No rezing dead people.
There I just saved everyone 7fps and 0.2 seconds in skill delay at prime time, without the kitten ton of work needed to redesign each classes abilities.

ITS RECENT. ONLY AFTER THE LS3 PATCH. IT WAS EVEN IN THE PATCH NOTES THAT THEY FIXED IT IN THE 2ND PATCH OR W/E TO LS3. ITS NOT FIXED THO.
portals are op though lets just face the facts. They pretty much completely determine the outcome of a zerg fight. A zerg that can teleport is a winner pretty much all the time if you outnumber the enemy….and if u don’t outnumber the enemy its pretty much ur trump card for dealing w ith superior numbers.
And it can be used to unlimited numbers of people at any given time….compared to every other skill that alone makes it op as hell. And the amount of time u have to place the opening of the portal….is stupid. And the amount of survivability of a mesmer…and mobility of a mesmer..and stealthy….and illusions and everything makes it stupid neigh impossible to prevent them from portaling allies over a wall or wherever.
Make portals have longer kitten cooldowns and restrict the free movement and time mesmers have between placing the exit and the opening of the portal.
was expecting op to be complaining about quickness sharing mesmers….most op thing in pve. make might sharing warriors look kittened.

I catch it multiple times when I clearly have my cursor pointing forward infront of me. Happens generally when I’m running and using alot of movement skills.
BERSERKER – Rifle+GS….not many movement skills to use tho so its pretty much just the gs.
Not sure when this happened but mortar’s are dropping some crazy stacks of fire now. I thought it only did three per pulse. I watched 8 players standing near their catas go down in seconds… I have felt its heat as well and those ticks are no joke.

Anet doesnt want us to have nice things. It might confuse the salty pve legendary crafting players and cause riots and mass panic.
scholar if running berserker. you will have tons of adrenal health or u will be a glass cannon burst build.
strength if vanilla. u willl be running forceful gs. focus on might stacks and duration.
wouldnt do *hoelbrak. strength just more effective. have tried both for long period of time.
assuming both builds u run a gs…u have to with a power build.

Sms protection is like the opposite of safety. It puts the ball in the court of your phone service provider. linus tech tips got h@ackeD through that method recently.
probably ele. they have always had a place in wvsw and any zerg. Plus they do most of the group heals last time i checked.
gs+axe/shield vanilla doesn’t work well against competent dh trappers+lb even with an unblockable in ur stats. You have no range so u have to chase them into their traps, the cc and combination of condi and power dmg is gonna be too much if u can’t burst them. And you won’t be able to burst them if they kite u properly and use their pure invulnerability at the right time.
ranged weapons and/or berserker mode is needed (just cause it gives u longer reach on ur attacks).
:/ Standard gs+axe/shield build. Was expecting something more “axe” related with the build name….offhand….double axe….axe mastery….axe as ur main dps…..ETCCCC. Standard build, not gonna critique its been done.
double balli dmg. make the projectile less aoe’ish. decrease the projectile hitbox. make it so it can rek players running straight at it, but hard to land on players sidestepping or anything where u have to turn the balli. Great for taking out stupid zergs.

what if the axe furious strikes or whatever the trait line thing was gave quickness or something else to axe’s boon lineup? Axe 4 as well what if that gave quickness or something else that gave a burst of damage. Axe really just copies gs but in a bad way at this point. axe 4 giving fury. Make axe revolve around something like quickness? that would be cool imo. WOuld have to make all axe skills register quickness as well…which was long overdue for every weapon. axe 5 affected by quickness would be more useful, same with eviscerate. axe 1 on the last strike of the combo could give 1s of quickness or something mbe ‘when traited’…..just little thing here and there? Key is to differentiate between axe builds that use doulbe axe and are traited with the furious strikes/or axe mastery whatever…..vs those that are the meta gs+axe/shield where gs is the main weapon.
Since patch, when i burst some1 into downed state from a high hp with gunflame they ‘move’ while in downed state ‘away’ from me. When I do damage to their ‘actual’ position it doesn’t register so i have to move to where they are moving….but they always reappear at the point where they are downed. So they teleport backwards to their original position. THis is really really annoying and it has cost me my life and a couple of kills already. Its like having a downed player with the thief’s teleport downed ability off cd twice in a row. Its mainly wvsw. ive had npc and stuff in wvsw do it as well…some in pve. but mainly in wvsw i see them in a position and fire but in reality they are wayyyyyyyy over there and im firing at the air. Its basically the yak glitch, but with players…..
The fused weapon skins are amazing. However the price is well out of the range for most players. Would you please consider making them available for gems or black lion tickets again.
Well would you agree that some weapon skins should be ‘special looking’ and extremely rare and hard to get in an mmo? Too many people have legendaries now, and they are actually a part of the meta game for pretty much all players at this point. There needs to be something ‘above’ legendaries on the list that only the wealthiest and most accomplished players have access to.
Cause if you do then ur request is really just a case of: pick another weapon to be extremely rare and hard to get cause I happen to really want this one.
Don’t know why the kitten the OP is still complaining. Look at the scores. DH ISN’T LAST PLACE FOR ONCE! Sf and Dh are actually competing for 2nd….there’s actually a chance either one can get it this time. A ton of players have returned and become active on dh again. We’ve had some very good fights this week. SBi is still huge and dominating but they play differently than CD….and honestly SBi seems alot smaller than CD. They have alot of groups running each map, but they aren’t ‘everywhere’ ALL THE TIME in true blob fashion like CD was. We won’t be taking SMC or invading sbi’s garrison or anything like that. But we can actually repel both sbi and sf if we work hard enough on our home bl (today was proof of that). Plus Dh can now fight most of the enemy zergs for once, given sbi and sf aren’t running anywhere near as huge as cd was.
This is honestly a very fun match. Every other week since merging with DH has been horrible, but this week things have finally changed.
We won’t be getting 1st place, and were still gonna be losing all our stuff in EB all the time. But we have actual waypoints and T3 keeps and towers in our home bl! Something we haven’t had in such a long time. Everyone is spending on upgrades and stuff as well, we got a real good turnout and some motivation to keep us going.
