SoS has a decent pop from 9pm to 12pm your time, sometimes a lull (though not lately) for an hour, then the early birds in the Oceanic zones come on; with the bulk coming on around 3am your time.

Other points here:
1) My understanding is that we literally can’t match NA and EU servers up. It is about the physical locations of the data centers and the speed at which data travels. So, until that changes, interleague is off the table.
2) We are making some changes to bloodlust in advance of the season. More specific details will be out in the near future, I’m not sure when exactly.

I like this. As other have mentioned, T1 servers (and others) are buying players at this point. I reeeeeeeally hope that the new achievements bring a lot of PvE types into WvW. That will cause all those T1 bandwagon jumpers to get stuck in queues. Fantastic.

Are queues really that long most nights, or do you have to be on for reset to get rewards?

If you need to ‘achieve’ these achievements, then it will follow that the lowest rank servers will have the hardest time getting the rewards as they will constantly disadvantaged.

Congratulations, yet ANOTHER reason for low tier guilds to transfer higher! If you are on BP or CD, you’ll might never get a chance to get the reward since you’ll have more populated servers in the match, making sure you can’t do anything.

BG and JQ players will max out their achievement lines probably before the first week is over, while the T4 servers will be lucky if they complete them at all.

Other than T2 in EU somehow all rolling down into the T4 matchup; EU looks pretty balance this week.

Which means the “Firehose O’ Stupidity” will be turned on NA with full force tonight!

They are our last chance of a sub-Tier 2 rival (though DB is starting to look vulnerable) so we really want a piece of them.

Close this thread and give the creator a 3 day ban as an example.

Can you imagine what will happen to this forum if the folks from SoR and Mags thought they could get away with creating a “hah, we got you this time” thread for every fight!?

I notice that the “we don’t PPT” features a lot when Mags loses a fight or match, but you don’t see it much when they win a fight.

The only folks that I’ve seen that hold true to that motto all the time are Ark.

I like fights with BP because they are always trying something new in tactics. Our first matchup they were too obsessed with Ebay (right after they finally beat them) but in the 2nd one they tried traditional stacking meta. The 3rd match they realized that didn’t work so they split into small groups and kept things hairy. This time, it was a lot of siege.

The only thing that is constant when fighting BP, is Aeros’s bad attitude.

My issue is that I cannot play to win, players seem to be overly aggressive on earning their karma, world xp. When i first played wvw, I used it as a means to level my charc to 80 now that I am 80 I want to contribute to my server in achieving victory or at least competing that includes playing the defense game. But when the score is an absolute blow out, there is no motivation but let the winning server cap what they want, then just take it back. I personally enjoyed defense, upgrading structures to hold what you spent resources to capture and maintain. Probably the greatest demotivation currently is how it could take an hour to upgrade keeps/towers only to find at one point that an enemy server took less than a minute to break down reinforced gates and now are inside lords room with 2x ur numbers before the system displays that the upgraded structure you wished to defend is contested:(

Defense has to be more active than it used to be. Superior Arrow Carts placed in hard to reach places manned by people with multiple ranks in mastery. Cannons, also with ranked operators, and so on.
Scouts who are willing to watch an empty screen for long stretches.

It takes a lot to hold onto land all week, but it can be done.

From the outside I would disagree. This week was a good chance for JQ and BG to directly test each other without SoR playing kingmaker.

SoR will double down on one of you, either BG because of perceived weakness or JQ to demoralize their recent transfers.

So you won’t have an accurate assessment of the change unless you get TC or FA up there.

Darn, why is SBI so remote of a chance? They shouldn’t coast into T3 on downrolled matches alone. Throw in Ebay so we can 1v1 SBI during the work week.

Not very fair to BP, because some of them do like to mix it up; but I’ve seen more ridiculous siege stacking this week (who drops AC’s on an open field ATTACK?!) than we ever saw from Ebay or YB.

Oh, I respect Krew in the Bloodlust area. Of course I do mean things like pull our zerg onto any that are foolish to follow me to the Temple (no hurt feelings I hope).

It is ideal for small groups and I expect most servers will have groups that like the small group combat and will probably make it their home in the future.

If nothing else, this week should have made it clear in regards to what is wrong with the Gold League in NA.
#4 being blown out by over 100k by #1 and #3 by Wednesday. #5 and #6 losing by over 200k by Wednesday to #2.
#7 beating #11 by 100k; #8 beating #9 by 70k.

The only thing even close to a wildcard at this point is SBI vs Maguuma. If they don’t meet up this Friday then we won’t have any good data since the next time they meet it will probably involve a T1 or T2 server.

My server is in a lose-lose. If it’s two leagues, we get T1 stomped, if it’s 4 our Oceanics will have nothing to do but PvD for 2 months.

Idk, I think Mag is a good choice. We’ve performed extremely consistently in WvW over the past 6 months and our community is very solid. The only thing we lack is SEA/Oceanic.

The only thing that has compared in entertainment value for this week is the troll recruitment post by Duke on Mags; that half the universe fell for and continue to fall for.

Or you just want to see BG burn like every bitter SoS citizen. It’s not the drama, but rather which guild the drama surrounds. You are so obviously bitter about MERC leaving your server and you don’t even make an attempt to hide it. Your post history would back me up.

SoS guilds and members went to all three T1 servers, and even some went to TC.

I don’t wish any ill will on anyone, but as I said before; I’m amazed that anyone is still surprised by stacking.

SoS wasn’t the first server to visit T1 for a while and drop out. HoD, ET, IoJ, and SBI all went through the same experience. Each time the members of those servers went and moved to the server that they believed would be the next big thing.

What I find amusing is the same people who skip servers, like they have OCD, are harrumphing this as much as possible.

There’s the accusations, the recriminations and character assassinations, the downplaying of it, the counter-accusations, etc.

What no one wants to deal with, is that every guild move is the direct result of the actions of others. Other personalities on the server annoy them, certain attitudes on that server, or even things other people have done to that server in the past continue to reverberate for weeks or even months.

KN is still reeling from WM’s spur of the minute decision to move there, then move off just as quickly.

DB took months to recover from all the guilds that moved off due to the bad attitudes that populated there at start.

A guy from CD and I were mentioning in our own thread that CD took extensive long term damage due to a massive troll guild and it’s immature leaders.

Either way, it’s all up to BG if the removal of MERC is going to break them or not. Either way, I wish the best to BG’s members.

League 2 would be pretty horrible; SOS is the only server with an Oceanic population.

The league as it exists now is a thousand times worse. At least with SoS you’ll be able to cap some objectives to get the achievements and rewards they are adding for leagues.
As it currently stands, you’ll be lucky to hold North Camp on your own BL for more than 5 minutes if you end up in a match with JQ and BG.

That being said, a note to the rest of CD; don’t push SoS in the late evening and then log off. You probably could have kept your towers and SM a while longer if you hadn’t pulled extra people to EBG.
Map diplomacy in Eternal is something we stress when training new commanders. You don’t invite trouble upon yourselves when you aren’t sure you can respond.

Could you please explain this? From what I have read, seen, and heard, a majority of MERC stayed on BG. If so, how is this a move “about the guild”?

It’s gone from a few, to 40%, now a plurality.
In four more hours it’ll be “5 guys from MERC left”.

Is it REALLY that surprising that a guild called MERC, would act in a mercenary fashion?

Is it really surprising, in a tier full of bandwagoners, that some guilds would bandwagon to make a strong server even stronger, and making their lives easier and possibly enriching themselves in the process?

I guess it must be from being in the T1 bubble, but to the rest of WvW the only question left is “why did it take this long?”

A server becomes number one, a guild quits or a guild transfers from one to the other, or new blood comes in droves;
Tier 1 is not static and someone is always going to get done over roughly. It’s BG’s turn, and I think SoR is next; the JQ is going to give us the most spectacular explosion ever at some point after that.

Honestly, IoJ might want to spend the next week doing training and working on communication / getting your transfers on-boarded.

Yak’s Bend gets a lot of crap for their defensive playstyle, but that’s because they are impossible to evict once they have something they want.
You’re going to need a lot more than just a few OCX to beat them for your league’s title.
