GW1 Observer Mode was a fantastic system, if possible GW2 should really try to get the same thing asap – it may save the game.
If you’re wanting 150 wins and a less stressful time with random elements I’d suggest you try to form a steady group or join one. It’ll be more fun and you’ll be less inclined to hit the desk with your head.
You’ve all known for over a year that condis arent good for large numbers of ppl pve content, if you have failed to get a power set by now frankly you should be ashamed at your inability to think and change.
1. It does 2-3 times the damage of a Blurred Frenzy so don’t make that comparison.
2. If you split it then you will have Thieves using the stun part out of combat and just blurr porting for instant damage – the cast of the stun is the ONLY thing which lets you see it coming.
3. It can be used 5 times in a row with the basic 10/30/0/0/30 setup <- this is unacceptable.

Lets not get out of hand here, shouting at someone for views that are just based on ignorance (I don’t mean ignorant in a put down way I just mean you don’t understand how silly “What if they killed Jory off and Kas eventually found herself some male?” sounds) will cause them to tighten up and defend those positions more.
Having same sex couples in popular culture is an important way to get integrated into society as a whole, introduces it as a perfectly normal thing to kids so we have a newer generation growing up with less prejudice or feelings of isolation than the last (which is good for everyone).
It definitely got better towards the end, from the Tower of Nightmares onwards the content was great and I cared more about the characters they focused on (wasnt too bothered about rox and braham). The world felt bigger from those updates.

If Rox and Braham mate, would they produce a kodan? What about a human and a sylvari, would it produce a burrito?

Yes, members of any of the GW2 races can (and do) mate with each other, but the devs have stated that such unions would never result in children.
They aren’t races they are species, races are factions of the same species. Of course any 2 species can have sex but only things of the same species (or 2 very early on in an evolutionary split) can have sex lead to offspring.
Was a very nice OP and good to read the replies from the community. Glad this sort of thing gets recognition, characters in popular culture do matter to people and can be real agents of change in perceptions from Lt. Uhura to Tyrion Lannister.
What I’d like is for there to be a net to catch mesmers if Lyssa gets changed in a way that loses the condi cleanse. Also our heal needs a look at I think, add a condi remove that doesnt require traiting there – every class in the meta is either a warrior (who have a heal which acts as a condi buffer and have the best controllable removal and an immunity to them anyway) or has a heal that deals with condis in some way (yes im definitely including the immob removal from thieves). Other classes get a 2 for 1 when they perform healing mesmer dont have that luxuary. (If we take the trait we lose shatters removing boons – kinda nullifying what we do better than other classes)
And I’m not sure what else to add because I dont want to make a monster. Oh I’d like thief sbow to get annihilated, or maybe split the evade arrow into 2 skills (1 cripples 2nd evades) so they cant get evade frames with no opening while moving away.
Mainly I’d rather have anet balance the other classes down than bump mesmers up too much. Maybe a wee trait rejiggle though.
I think it makes sense when you introduce something to do this but it should be phased out after a while.
I’m in the same situation, spent all my glory and now using it for dye craft components and not salvage kits – no point in salvaging more cause i wouldnt be able to convert them to dyes. So I’m opening the chest and manually deleting the contents – its not the most fun I’ve ever had :P
A 1v1 mesmer cannot hold a point, other mesmers cannot hold points either vs any bow warrior or thieves.

Are you guys getting heirlooms from rubble 100% cause I’m mainly getting a disposable weapon and no heirloom. Searched 30 for the achieve and must have got under 10 from rubble.

If they drop some sort of ticking damage effect before they die the blind effect will be used up by one of those ticks too
Sounds like the runes are broken then, that combo should make the daze last 1.5secs.
You cant 1 shot people but you can 2 shot . Basilik venom+ CnD+Backstab is what a thief has to do to kill you . To get such high damage he will probably use assassin’s signet which takes away 1 of his defensive utilities. He probably has no point in shadow arts therefore no blind on stealth , no condi removal , no HP regen .
Conclusion if this little combo misses, the thief can die from simple autoattacks . Is it OP? Not really , this is what we call a glass cannon

Its a good map for hotjoin, it has 4 objectives lots of pits to fall in and be knocked in and a big anti zerg mechanic. It works well with lots of ppl running round like a quake 3 map.
Then you look at it in soloq and you get 5 ppl with 4 objectives and suddenly bunkery specs get a massive buff because there are 1 hit kill options sitting everywhere important and LoS options on the points (when coupled with the hammer aoe just makes me sad). Because of the limited ppl in soloq (which is the right thing) you’ve got a map that isnt fun because you have not got the dps spread to effectively deal with the objectives in a way that doesnt waste time or end up with you getting pinged off by a bunker engi at some point (regardless of how many you dodge you will eventually get hit by something).
tl:dr Map is fine for hotjoin, player number contraint of 5 makes it ridiculous for soloq.
I think I’d keep them the same and just make them medium health pool characters.
I like having any class on my team tbh, just as long as there is a good spread of abilities – from roaming to holding. Generally I like 2 reasonably tanky things though just cause I play Mesmer and its easier to just run between the points they are defending as needed.
Needs sorted asap. Imagine stealth emptied adren or initiative, clones are our resource.

So you opened 8 and the timer increased by an hour each time, then opened the 9th and it increased by a few seconds, then the 10th increased it by a few seconds again. You then opened a further 50 each one just resetting to 8 hours total and you never thought to stop at any point?

It’s extremely difficult for any class to fight hambow warrior on a point.
The HUGE fire field, their sustain, large HP pool, immobilization, interrupts, (and the sword bug). Berserker stance is broken especially with Lyssa runes that procs every 60seconds. Losing all conditions AND gain all boons (especially stability and aegis) is just outrageous.Lyssa runes need a 90second internal cool down, in my opinion. I don’t think ANET ever considered having it proc every 45sec or 60sec. Runes should not define any class, but in this meta Lyssa runes is just as broken as healing signet.
How bout on extremely high spike damage, with multiple sources of stealth?..this is what all thieve’s have with venoms. Only hammer warrior has what your mentioning. This whole argument has nothing to do with healing signet at all. Thieve’s can produce healing per dagger swing and in stealth making lyssa and passive healing more stronger on paper for them than it is for warrior. Another warrior hate without looking at the actual facts that what you are complaining about is more exploitable on other professions than the one this forum is meant to be about.
I think the point is you can’t do extremely high spike damage to a warrior, if I hit one with a shatter combo that would kill a guardian or bring a necro to 15% a warrior will be able to face tank it and stay at 50%. And if you’re refering to the thief trait which heals in stealth thats used for wvw trolling and still doesn’t heal as much as heal sig with 30 trait points invested (though i still think its an awful trait).

Depends on the classes you have available but something along those lines.
In the Angz duel server you’re not allowed Soldier’s, Cleric’s or Settler’s Amulets, did you use any of those, if so that might be why ppl were shouting at you. The duel server is set up so there isn’t ridiculous tanky stuff that slows down play and stops people having a turn. Same reason why Prismatic Understanding is banned.
People also tend to get kittened off at Condi Mesmers and Condi Warriors just because awful players can win a lot with them, so people who frequent the server tend to try to shame people who use these builds to stop their use.

Hmmm thats a little disappointing that it was an error. Have submitted ticket hopefully it will be sorted out soonish.
My account was hacked last week and i submitted a report and requested a roll back Today on trying to log in the game said my account had been terminated for gold selling. Is this termination part of the roll back process or has there been some sort of mistake? Just looking for clarification.

Its a good direction for the game to be going in, reducing proc damage. It may require a few iterations and other tweaks to make sure condi necro doesnt get completely wiped from the game.
I think Necro should be viable but I support moves away from unblockable, undodgeable, unblindable damage.
Remember PW does at least double damage of Blurred Frenzy with no CD and a stun attached.

We’ll be discussing this change more internally. Most likely we will make some adjustments or look at other options such as replacing clones not triggering Debilitating Dissipation so it does not impact mesmer play as much which wasn’t our intent.

Also, the increased cast time on Pin Down is a BUFF, I can actually fake cast it now instead of wasting it on a sudden block/dodge/blind/skill queue and not being able to cancel it.
Why would you need to fake cast something they wouldn’t see anyways?
omg signet heals more than the active in the long run… but u can get poisoned on that period of time and really not get that much “op heal”

Warriors get stronger when a cap point is involved, Mesmers and Necros may be able to kite a warrior to death on open ground with no time restrictions but they cannot do that in a tPvP setting. Trying to claim warriors aren’t over powered by using useless evidence is not helpful to any discussion.
There are many lists of Shatter Mesmer plays that are so important to the player and spec’s survival around I hope Anet take a good long look and think about the consequences of the Deceptive Evasion change they proposed. You guys want the population to be vocal and get involved with balance and we are.
We recognise the intent to nerf clone death cheese, please find another way as this method of nerf will cripple the Mesmer class. Summoning clones at our location with dodge is so utterly fundamental to our play you cannot press ahead and hope the players can salvage it through build change or w/e. You are on the brink of completely altering our class mechanic in a way that you havent even tried with other classes, it goes to the very core of the Mesmer.
I won’t quote all the different things that we as Mesmers do with clone on dodge and how overwriting old clones is an important part of it you’ve seen it all before but please really think before surging ahead – just think how many months you’ll let this experiment sit for to give it a run, is it worth what you’d do to Mesmer players?

At the moment if I have 3 clones and Shatter they all run to target but I can spawn new clones before they reach their destination. I have been told that the changed Deceptive Evasion will not spawn new clones in this situation because it counts the circle indicators and does not use the current system of not counting clones sent to shatter regardless of the circle indicator count.
Please you must go back and look at this coding again and make it work as the old system did, this will really badly effect Shatter mesmers especially those who use Staff/GS as all their clones/phants tend to keep themselves at range to the target. If this change goes through without being looked at it will suverely damage the 1 Mesmer build which has a bit of honour to it – you said yourselves you wanted to stop the cheesey stuff.

Anyone who says ‘GW1’ for an example of no FotM pvp needs to tell everyone they didnt play it. GW1 had a changing meta based on OP buffs and the new classes they added. Ele was removed from GW1 GvG for AAAAAGES because of Me/E, Warriors were almost removed at one point because of D/A spike, Hexway came and went throughout its lifespan based on Necro/Mesmer/Monk elites being nerfed and buffed. There are many other examples but please dont say ‘GW1’ when someone asks for an example of no FotM MMO because you’ll be mistaken or a liar if you do.
All MMOs have a rotating ’who’s the best now’ system. Ones which don’t just havent been patched in a while.
Please ANet reconsider the Sigil plans you have, Fire+Air or giving Energy to all classes without them sacrificing a damage sigil for it will be terrifying. The double Sigils for 2Handers is a good idea and fair but please please reconsider the CD lockout removal.
I think they should just make ele a medium health pool character and maybe try to make the trait lines less self preferential. I do understand the fear of eles because they do have the potential to be very op, gently does it with this class.
Besides the whole “it goes against the philosophy of the game” it would increase the power of players damage and we don’t want more of that.
No because I do not think the company is organised in such a way that it would result in instantly better balance and content for pvp. I am happy with the game as is – definitely got my money’s worth and enjoy playing it but I wouldnt go so far as to pay monthly for it.
