Well, I would just add a new storyline related to the awakening of the 6th elder dragon and focus more on character development. For instance, fleshing out the NPCs and characters more to be more relatable to the players (Even though the order Mentors are already awesome).
P.S. I don’t really find Trahearne pointless, but that’s just imo tough
I definitely have to agree the end of Source of Orr was a great moment in the game. It was really great to feel the real effect of taking out the source of Zhaitan’s corruption, and also having the ability to help someone fulfill their Wyld Hunt. But mostly it was fighting those last few minutes to Fear Not This Night (one of my favorite songs in the game).

You seem to be under misconceptions:
The attack was sudden and brutal – they’re not “running for the hills like scared rabbits” but rather the injured (of which there’s a lot of because it was basically a blitzkrieg attack) are heading out of the battlefield. Furthermore, those being attacked are rangers and individualistic norn – they’re not fighters, on the whole.
The norn didn’t stop charr invasions solo – the norn have been stopping warbands (read: 5-20 individuals per warband). There’s a big difference. It’s even outright stated that if the charr were serious about taking the Shiverpeaks, they would have roflstomped the norn.
The norn knew Jormag was coming since it woke up in the far north – north of where the norn were living. They had time to prepare for him, and they went to meet him at first. Unlike now where the enemy came to them and the norn were unprepared.
As far as we see, and we’re seeing a lot now with those portals and invasions, it is a dredge/Flame Legion attack. The reason why its so effective is because it’s so sudden, and they’re attacking some of the weakest spots.

The humans are definitely to be respected for their accomplishments in the past, but now their alliances are really keeping them afloat. If there wasn’t a treaty between the Charr and the Humans, they could easily be wiped out. If the absence of their gods continues, Human influence in Tyria will diminish. That also raises other good questions about how the six Human gods could intervene, and what kind of impact they could make in the war.
Probably bad. Remember how Athena and Ares intervened in the war between the Greeks and Trojans? It did not end up well. Same might go here in this kind of situation
Thus far, we’re told and see it as a Flame Legion/Dredge alliance.

- Mainly because I love how the battle took place. Also, as much as I hate seeing Seirran die, I love that moment of the story because it had an impact to me. (First time an MMO made me care about their characters)

I for one find the patches they make fun.
For one thing, the thrill of trying out the patch is already fun and playing in the changes is even more fun.
Also, the patches just keep on introducing cool things. I don’t really see why people have to rage though but it’s just probably me being optimistic!

Agreed with OP, I love this game! I started playing it from the BETA and wow, I have done so much and yet so little. How? I have spent countless hours playing this game, yet, I have only scratched the surface of it(Literally!). In other words, I am having a ton load of fun in this game!

Was wondering what everyone thinks with regards to how much effort it takes to amass the gold required for Cultural armor, high level mats, etc. Are you “farming” at an acceptable rate? Are you forced to buy?

I’m doing just fine in getting gold. IN fact, it’s quite easy! Just go to Orr and start farming for mats and do events then bam, you can end up with 10+ gold in one day. And if you’re lucky, probably more than 50
Oh yea and I forgot to mention mystic coins! Mystic coins make alot of coin in the Black Lion Trading market!

It’d be a bit silly for them to go through all the effort of creating Winds of Change to establish the lore behind what happened to Cantha and then never add it to the game.
Good point. I really hope you’re right. From a cost perspective though, continuing Cantha 200 years later would be cheaper and less time consuming for ANET than creating a whole new idea/place.
They need to make new never seen areas. The actual size of the world is massive.
They have a lot to work with and I hope to see more of the rest of the world.
Cantha would be nice but personally imo…there is a whole lot more they can do first.
On the pic you see the zones that have already been done for GW1 and 2….there is so much more..
Heck even the Southern Part of where Cantha is located could be cool?

It made GW2 handle like a true action MMO as it should’ve been. But Anet took action against that reddit post. I saw the vid. It was just a simple tweak with autohotkey.
I guess Anet wants us to play it our way, their way.

Relax people, I have over 5000 screenshots already, there’s a simple fix for when you reach the 1000 cap that obviously most of you are not aware of.
On Windows 7 there’s a folder in: C:\Users\<Account>\Documents\Guild Wars 2\Screens
Just rename the “Screens” folder (or move it to another location if you want) and when you make another screenshot in-game it will remake the folder so that you can make more screenshots.

My main character has 100 % Charm and my alts have mixed personalities
I think this is to add RP elements and immersiveness to the game. Or they just made this as a base for future updates that might change the way personality systems work.
I don’t really know for sure, but I am just being optimistic about it. Also, I would love to see differences in voice dialogue depending on the personality of the character.
Once ArenaNet has fixed the kinks of GW2 in the Mac, then they can start working on the Linux version of GW2
Why would you want to take trading away? It’s a very good system that help contribute in the economy of Guild Wars 2 and in keeping the immersiveness in check
