Which one? The one in purple or brown? The one in purple looks like the TA Nightmare set for cloth users while the on in brown sort of looks like a T3 Human Cultural. That’s probably just me though.
It’s kind of awesome to see Arenanet’s devs play the game
Tell me about. I was expecting the meteor shower to behave like other Aoes….until I found out it has to freaking hit the target.. and if the target is fast in moving, you’r screwed
I see. Well, the infusions is probably useful for a big thing..
yeah, but imagine you stand in an elevator and someone lets off one of those loud and smelly farts and you are stuck in the elevator for another minute before you can get out. Its an extremly traumatizing experience, and someone that sufferd from such a fart might report you, just for the terror your name causes them to feel.
Ugh….. well, as long as it’s not farts from Tacos, I’m good
Also, in the Quaggan personal storyline: Quaggan, sounding personally hurt and insulted: “The Jotun are Foo, and won’t share with Quaggan” You: “The Jotun are Foo, alright.”
Crap, I should have gotten the Quaggan! Dang!
Correct me if I am wrong, infusions are just like upgrades you place in armor right? Just curious.
I don’t find any of those names offensive. The first name might offend some people because it is similar to the word kitten you. The second one is just funny, I don’t see why that could be offensive, everybody farts.
Yes they do. It’s worse when it’s silent
PvP might get it’s own design in the future (If there is none in the present). So just in case there isn’t, we can always wait. Besides, the current sets in PvP (While akin to the PvE) are kind of cool
True, but the actual bakestone is actually used for baking in stone stoves.
I think those need to be renamed too.
Haha, I guess we need to go to Oxford and tell them to change it then, if that’s possible
I still don’t see how Fart Sparkles is offensive…
True, but the actual bakestone is actually used for baking in stone stoves.
I hope it isn’t considered as an offensive, that name sure is awesome especially when it’s with a commander Imagine, people will be talking about fats and sparkles
I’m in Borlis Pass…
Well, if you are wondering, there is actually plenty of things to do each day. Just last week, I’ve been playing with different and large groups of people each day. But that was last week, I haven’t played yet due to school but when I went to check on my guild, there are still plenty of people around LA, and that was yesterday.
Maybe, maybe not, we’ll see once the January update comes
There are still alot of people playing in Borlis Pass. Heck, even the starting areas are populated.
Why open another topic? …
https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/game/gw2/January-2013-Flame-and-Frost-prelude/first#post1263721
To start a new one I guess?
I’m getting really excited for the new Flame and Frost update of the game.
- New features
- Improvements on the current game
- Not to mention, improvements on the way it works
So anyways, what’s your input in this, guys?
^
True. Wish they could spread out more mats, or require low level mats on high level crafts.
Mt favorite places to be in GW2 are the starting areas. Just yesterday, I talked to a truckload of people and played with them. It has been the same since release. And this is in Borlis Pass.
O_O
Where is this in Borlis Pass? I’ve seen 1-3 persons on Human starting areas, 0 on Asura, Char, Sylvari and another 1-2 on Norn.
Must be because of timezone differences. I play when most Westerners are asleep/going to sleep.
:p
I’m in the middle east atm and I have seen plenty of people in Queensdale, and I have in fact, played with them in random events, including the Behemoth Which is awesome. Afterwards, we went on doing other random things such as going naked while dancing, talking and the like. Anyways, going back to the topic, Yea, I agree, it must be a big timezone difference. If it’s not a big timezone difference then it I am not sure why it appears empty to some.

I wonder how’d that look on male models
Please make more of these!
There’s already over 30 of them =)
I believe we are up to 43 now
I love the jump puzzles, great fun!
I just checked the wiki and there are actually 45 (If you include the ones in WvW) So awesome.
Guys guys, beating up a dredge with a shovel is nothing..
It’s better to beat them up using rocks!
Removing money is like removing incentives in the game. Without it, everyone might as well have the same gear from the market. No sense of difference, uniqueness or achievement either. I think that by removing money would render a game…. bland and tasteless.
So you mean to tell me all the “hate” and negativity GW2 is having right now is nothing compared to the original? :o That’s shocking.
Remind me what’s RNG again?
Well, in regards to the title, after playing AC, CM and TA explorables (I haven’t done the other 5 yet). It just felt like Dark Souls in a way… in terms of difficulty, yes, combat…..ehh, in a way and the feel, most definitely!
But that’s just in my opinion and what I think.
Feel free to leave feedbacks and all that.
P.S. Not sure if this is the right forum category to post this kind of topic.
I find this armor and color combination epic
I heard that Utopia was supposed to be the next expansion of GW1 but was cancelled due to the development of Gw2. So I would just like to ask: Who lives in Utopia? And what is Utopia?
I see. Wow, personally, the lore of Guild Wars 2 is getting more and more interesting after each reply
Not bad Not bad at all!
“Talk to the paw”
Sylvari folk do have a bit of Drell complexion
Fixed that for you.
Yeah, it’s a sign of a good character creation engine that people are able to come in with their own image of what they want to make, and then do it.
Haha thanks Sorry, I did not see that I typed complexity instead of complexion Also, it’s kind of awesome for the engine to allow us to do this kind of things
I see… Btw, in regards to the spirits, are they closely related to the gods or are they something else?
After playing ME2 and 3, I decided to make a new character named Thane Xeros (Since Krios isn’t available). I attached an image and I have to say… Sylvari folk does have a bit of Dreel complexity
P.S. forgive me for those who haven’t played Mass Effect yet.
There are alot in Borlis Pass but I can’t really guarantee that they are on all the time.
Whoah…. It’s actually pretty awesome for Anet to communicate with the people personally (On a forum-level anyways). Once again, thanks
Advertising works, Its a known fact.
As far as gaming goes, I can still clearly remember WoWs ‘Wrath of the Lich King’ adverts, ‘Cataclysm’ ads and who can forget MrT doing the WoW commercials !Id love to see Anet investing in some serious advertising, speculate to accumulate guys !
:)
About that… it would be awesome for Anet to post a huge poster on the side of a building advertising GW2
What makes me happy is fact that ANet is not kindergarden. They are pursuing they artistic visions of their own project and are not obligated to fullfil whims of individuals with ego problems.
You want to oneshot things? Go kill rabbits and bird they are everywhere. Go now and show them who’s da boss…
That’s an awesome way to put it
Mordremoth is supposedly the name of the 6th dragon that has some influence over nature and has to do with corruption of plants (Husks, nightmare hounds, poison flowers), and possibly with the sylvari dream and the nightmare court.
Interesting, would be awesome to fight him
http://wiki.guildwars2.com/images/4/47/Tyria.jpg
In the center you can recognize Tyria and Elona, in the south Cantha. As you can see there are more continents that curently are unexplorable, they even don’t have a name (yet).
Sweet thanks for the map
The gods, maybe, it’s save to say, they reside in the Mists and they have a certain degree of power over it.
The EDs are not from the Mists and they lack the ability to go there. Only some minions of Jormag managed to get into the Mists by capturing the Wolf Havroun.
I personally think this is the reason of the god’s silence. The EDs basically consume magic and the human god’s are magical beings, meaning they could potentially be eaten by a ED. However they have the ability to go into the Mists, which the EDs lack, so they can hide there and wait until the threat is dealt with. They are basically helping humanity and the other human races, by not risking to make the EDs even stronger than they are.
I also think mosts of the animal spirits went into the Mists after owl’s death, only 4 stayed to guide the Norn, minimizing the risk of the EDs getting even stronger by consuming them.
Just my personal theory though.
Whoah. Thanks again! This is getting me more and more interested in the lore of GW2 than I already am
Okay, after reading posts and articles about the supposed “sixth” elder dragon… Who is this guy named Mordremoth? Is he something far more ancient than Primordus or is there something else about him?
I hope they don’t make a horrible advert like these guys:
I was kind of shocked to see that trailer
Whoah. That is one big revelation to me. Really, it’s surprising to find out that the Mists is probably the multiverse of the game (Where almost everything goes to). After reading your reply, it makes me wonder… Did the Elder Dragons and Gods come from the mist?
No problem! Of course as the old saying goes, “Build it and they will come.”. There is no better advertisement than creating a great game that people want to play. At that point, word of mouth becomes an advertising tool and they will get more accolades like what TIME has given them.
That’s an awesome way of putting it I sure do hope that GW2 wins more awards! It is a game that deserves them
P.S. I counted the awards GW2 has atm, and I counted about 10 Overall Game, MMO, PC of the year
It’s to make it fair for others plus it’s not always fun being the god and the strongest in the area. It’s actually pretty interesting to know that you are just one single person. no matter how powerful you are, you will always die from something small if you’re reckless. Pretty much reminds me on how real life works.
and yet sandly you cant really die in ares where the mobds are lvl 7 or so and lower, unless you deliberatly let them beat on you for like what? 10 minutes+ while doing absolutetly nothing currently, really really wish the scaling were more harsh in the lowest area’s
While true, the scaling down just keeps it realistic (Although it’s a fantasy game, things are not meant to be realistic but still). That’s just in my opinion though so I am not sure how you guys view it
how is it realistic if i go outside in the wild somwhere and find say a boar to try kill it with some kind of melee weapon, it sure will give me a hell of a fight. then i go out in the wolrd and fight a lot of differnet opoening both animals and humans and whatever else you can think of to fight, and come back a couple months or even a year later to same area find a new boar in same area and try kill it with the same type of weapon, and i can assure you it would STILL give one hell of a fight for its life (sure i might ahve giotten better at fighting but i would still ahve to watch not getting killed by it) so making the scaling MORE harsh would in fact be waht made it more “realistic”
BUt then again why talka bout realism in a game where some classess fling magic left and right, and teleport from one spot to the other in and instant… sure is the right game to talk about what is and waht is not realistic
Alrighty then… you made your point but I going back to the topic, I believe that the scaling is done right in terms of the lore, game play and social aspects
Agree with the OP. Please make this happen Anet.
Plus I would love to have titles like Ice-cream eater, Animal Killer, or etc. Just random tihngs
