What’s frustrating, is when one group can put down marks and wells, while you can’t never mind pop heals, so you’ll u might aswell pirate ship or die pushing.

Diversity does not really equal balance, due to the choice of gear, runes and food/oil, rather than being stuck with a limited selection of Runes/Amulets you get in sPvP.
When it comes to small scale or dueling, power creep and OP builds/setups are apparent.
Thief is good at resetting fights and ganking, alot like their role in PvP really, but in WvW you can be easily one-shot as a squishy class.

Transfers should be locked to linked servers, especially to much higher ranked ‘hosts’ simple as, to avoid adding to queues. Depending on how long these links last and whether they actually increase activity, it’s not really fair on the Server itself, right now if links last 3 months, then a large population could just transfer there for cheap and reap the benefits.

Doesn’t make sense they didn’t nerf CoR aswell, especially when it can’t be reflected.
Gunflame definitely feels weaker also in comparison, there’s much less burst than Killshot and no piercing, but the AOE and velocity makes it still alright to use, just the burst is much lower.

Feels like nothing has changed. There are just too much boon stripping in WvW.
You mean stab removal in blobs, but in terms of boons in an organized group?
There is too much boon stacking happening and little to counter that, in organized group fights.

Most players on the EU side play normal hours, we don’t have that kind of coverage like some NA servers, so no surprise it’s not competitive for National Servers, International Servers, have it easy.

Reward track speeds are fine IMO, but it should scale faster for smaller groups, than larger groups.

3-5 man?
stay with pvp
PvP is where at least you know you’ll get zerged by a group not bigger than 5, in WvW you can get ganked by 50 at least :p
Also there’s little chance of a running into a perplex, boon stacking druid or like that, things you can’t really fight with power builds that well.
Roamers should spread out on servers, if they want to fight each other these days.

S/d init costs are high enough as it is aswell, fs/ls in total 6 or 8 init whether it procs is harsh, meanwhile c&d is 6 init, in comparison staff is less initiative hungry, it has no split skills, but still good sustained dps and a strong #5 aoe attack costing just 5 init.
Infiltrator’s Strike/Return used to be a stun breaker and instant, they removed the stun breaker bit and then added an animation and cast time to it though.

I wonder if queues are bugged, sometimes my queue pops out of nowhere, when I’m 15th or like last night, 50.

http://mos.millenium.org/servers/view/15/
Of course ticking 500+ all night makes a difference. 2am it’s pretty close, by 4-6am, it’s suddenly almost a 20k lead.
Night capping won’t always win MUs if you tick 100-150 the rest of the day, but it does most of the time, if you tick 500-600 for 2-3 hours.

There’s little point in PPT, other than glicko and match ups, a bit of Server pride too, but winning fights is more worth it than ever winning a MU, which is rarely close or decided by actual strategy.

Poor guys in Vabbi, they will never be able to go to EB…
128 queue on eternal borderlands already… pfff I wish they had decided to merge vabbi with the other t9 servers…
Feels like there’s less than 40-50 on tag actually, as though they dropped player caps, so the queues seem far worse lately. Deso just ktrains @ night as expected against these servers though.

Condis seem fairly easier to manage as a support Melee Druid at least, something with good sustain and with high vitality, also by using your cleanses and heals at the right moment.
If you mess up your skill rotations the conditions will overwhelm you, it’s pretty easy to apply so many stacks of conditions right now, burn stacks melt hp fast.

The new borders are alright, the problem is most commanders only tag up on EB, sometimes they border hop, but not like in the old days at least.
You still get queues to border if someone has an Open Raid, with a few other guilds, during prime, but there isn’t as many Gulds as there used to be here.

It’s just a live beta test, along with the reward tracks, it should go ahead for the sake of testing the change.
Not all worlds will be linked, the problem with content like this, the influx of players it’s mostly short lived, like WvW/PvP seasons. Lower pop servers probably won’t notice much themselves (until the links happen), most players are already on higher ranked servers.

I noticed true shot got nerfed twice?
It says -20% for WvW and again in the patch notes for “professions”. So is that -40%?
They nerfed it once for both modes, tbh only thing left that can’t be reflected is Coalesence, that still does too much damage in WvW. Also boonshare/stacking needs to be toned down, or I guess you could run corrupt boon and thieves with bountiful now.

Acro is still garbage of course standing on it’s own at least, even with Pain Response on 16s, with Don’t Stop on it’s own with 10s as GM? More boon stealing/ripping aswell, still Larcenous Strike only procs on hit and Plasma is even more OP.
Lead attacks opens up for more DPS, but means Trickery will be still mandatory, Init management isn’t much of a problem, since it stacks based on Init used now, means you’ll still have to manage Init, but not at a cost of that multiplier.

Yeah, same. 5+ wins, 5+ losses, 1 game in 20 interesting. I gave up and rolled a max damage troll build for fun. GG ANet. You win… You know you are in trouble when the second you get into match your teammates are commiserating and yelling obscenities into chat… Before the match starts. LoL. Play with a team or GTFO.
It seems to get worse over time aswell. I might get lucky somewhere along the line and get some good teammates with a decent comp, but it’s not something I want to waste my time on. I should just party up with any random team that I get, that wins and hope for the best tbh.

I’ve had enough of the kitten Solo MMR system this season, took a break and came back, but it’s the same thing as 4 weeks ago.
Almost every single game, it’s either I get players with no rotational awareness, ones that die in one shot and or have no idea how to kite with their Characters, even I manage it playing multiple alts.
Now and again I get a game or two, where the other team is as mention above, which makes no logical sense, to go from a lose to a win streak, or just W L W L W L W W, often lopsied either way. Honestly I have to say this Season is a failure, unless you put up with ELO hell, somehow have good MMR, a decent team or get out of ELO hell somehow. Now back to WvW, oh wait..

Maybe later this year when (if) they can fix population imbalance and scoring, but right now there’s a big drop in population atm (EU), alpine’s won’t bring back as many, as some people think, it would take alot more than that, especially to bring back any Guilds that went inactive.
It might bring some PvE’ers into WvW with ‘better’ rewards and Achievements, in the end though, it causes more drama than it should and players burn out over it.

Because wvw isnt really fair or balanced, there is almost always five or more players, who are waiting to gank players running out of spawn, so a zerg chasing is not unusual.
Roamers don’t usually look for fair or challenging fights, even when outnumbered, they run high sustain/mobility, versus zerg builds.
Try roaming as a warrior with Defiant Stance instead Healing signet and run into a roamer with superior mobility and sustain; like a scrapper or Mesmer, or even a Thief, which has a chance against Warrior at least, the warrior with a zerg build will lose easily.
It’s rare to see Roaming groups fighting each other, on the EU side at least.

Then again, it’s the only way to counter Boon stacking right now.
Well the counter to boon stacking is boon removal/conversion, but I understand your point, in a strategic sense it can be. Boons themselves are in an unbalanced state as well, but they at least have some limitations. You can only stack a boon to a certain point from a limited number of sources. With condis, you can basically keep stacking and spamming, some are limited to 25, but others go to 1500 I believe..lol…
Boons can be OP, depending on build and group (small/large) comp though, due to Boon Share and Duration buffs, that’s the state of balance in meta though, even when Condis can be pretty broken, especially in 1v1s.

This make no sense at all, when you suggest solo roaming takes more skill.
Alot of it, especially 1v1s are all about the build most of the time, also most players there are not running builds for small scale fights, nothing is really balanced in WvW either.
sPvP is about rotations and small group play.
Nobody with no sense of skill rotations, in any form of PvP; even organized WvW zergs, can spam skills if they want to stay alive or win a fight against skilled groups/players, apart from corruptomancer with scepter perhaps.

The current upgrade system is best, it prevents it from being exploited by siege trolls, also less work for players doing dull tasks, but they should make Waypoints inside the Borderland Air and Fire keeps an upgrade.

Perhaps a GM trait should give access to stability, like 3 stacks for 4 seconds on something like a 10s CD. Traits like Don’t stop are completely overshadowed by Dash, in the DD line, at least that would make Acro useful against hard CC.
But that’s more a problem, due to how Elite specs were made to be that much more better than vanilla specs.

Happens in wvw aswell, latest build doesn’t mention any fix.
Plays completely opposite professions to his main Teef.
Easy for Choo-Choo, good for small scale I guess aswell, better Waypoint mechanic if they bring that back aswell, but always preferred EB when it’s dead quiet for roaming.
Hope they change the layout a little, make it so you can just k-train a border with 5-10 golems in about 20~ mins, but of course, night capping can’t be fixed that easy.

Why we loved so much this WvW game mode? In truth we haven’t. What we loved was our community: the friendship that formed during hard times, during cooperation, the memories of epic struggles. We fought for each other. And now we lost each other… WvW meant the people, those who made it alive. That’s why we still keep logging back sometimes, and still take a sad look at these places, full of memories…
Players and Guilds just transfer and stack onto other servers, Anet just got things wrong on that front, from the beginning.

WvW isn’t really that balanced, even the role of a Thief is limited really, other classes can do heavy burst from range nowadays and sustain better, especially in zerg fights or GvG.
Plays completely opposite professions to his main Teef.
Tone down ranged burst (or even ranged DPS), ranged shouldn’t do as much damage as it is with so much CC, especially revenants and Warriors.
It almost makes focus parties extinct, since they can hit multiple targets, rather than single target burst from thieves and mesmers.
Also tone down boon sharing/uptime abuse, perms protection and, all that, especially with revs additional duration trait.
