Ashanor is right, i just tested that right now in pve on a mob. Combu shot doesnt give me any adrenaline. Amazing how good balance team we got.

Second test; combu shot gives adren with furious trait on.

Hmm, interesting. I cant play right now, but im curious.
With furious, does it award you 1 adrenaline on non-crits?
And does it award you 1 or 2 adrenaline on crits?

He is WRONG. It was mentioned multiple times in the post where he said that. Go see for yourself instead of blindly taking the words of a developer as fact.

I have seen for myself, MANY times, including roughly 50 combustive shots in a WvW zerg last night alone.

My Combustive shot actually does the exact same thing as the Dev’s, it can quickly fill up my adrenaline if I hit multiple targets with each pulse.

I’ve just been assuming anyone who claims they dont get adrenaline from it is crazy or unobservant, but now I’m starting to wonder if certain people legitimately dont get adren from it….

Answer: Combustive shot doesn’t give ANY adrenaline.

A lot of thought went into the change to combustive shot. This skill was simply too effective at renewing itself. One of the drawbacks of the burst skills needs to be losing your adrenaline, but this skill was easily able to restore all of the adrenaline it lost. Rather than reduce the burn duration we reduced the # of attacks this skill creates because we felt it made it more counterable in PvP and less reliable in PvE as an adrenaline builder.

That sounds like a fairly massive nerf for adrenaline generating outside of Combustive Shot.

Guess what? Some people use burst skills that are not Combustive Shot.

Can’t say I would get behind this.

I get what you’re saying. Your protest seems to be based on the number of strikes per bar.

Under the current system (10 strikes per bar):
Full Adrenaline: 30 hits vs 1 foe, 15 hits vs 2 foes, or 10 hits vs 3 foes.

Under my proposed system (6 strikes per bar):
Full Adrenaline: 18 hits regardless of foes

I suggested 6 or 7. Maybe 5 strikes per bar? Though that may be a bit too low… What do you think the magic number is Olba?

Dand.8231, they already stated that they felt exotics were too easy to get and that they wanted ascended to be a mid-range yet longer term goal, with legendary being the longest term goal. You can discount drops all you want, but it’s still a means of acquisition. And your whole math bit discounts the part where we get a choice with the current weapon box drops.

If they give trinkets crafting, then I’d ask for weapons and armor to have a token system to match. But so far it’s been tokens/drops or craft/drops – no reason to expect different with armor.

Lastly, “play your own way” does not translate to “do whatever you want and everyone gets everything”. You can play every aspect of this game in lower tier gear (most even naked), and while doing so you gain means to get the better gear. Just because it doesn’t flat out give you the gear, doesn’t mean you’re not getting it, you just have to put some thought and effort in to it.

Pennry, you’ve obviously completely missed my point.

You seem to think I want to be able to run around naked in starter zones, auto-attacking ambient mobs, spamming the chat channels and expect to be given ascended armor. THAT’S NOT WHAT I’M SAYING. I just want different and alternate means of acquisition besides crafting and RNG drops.

As I’ve stated, with Exotics, there are multiple ways to acquire. I’m not speaking about the ease of acquisition, just the variety of methods.

Consider this; Exotics are fairly easy to get. If they wanted to make exotics three times as difficult to acquire, they could simply triple the dungeon token cost, triple the mats to craft each one, etc.

But if you removed all methods of getting exotics except dungeon runs, it wouldn’t make getting exotics via dungeon runs harder, it’d just mean you’d be forced to do them instead of being able to, say, craft them. And if you hate dungeon runs but love crafting, you probably wouldn’t be too happy.

The TL;DR version is this: Variety =/= Difficulty. I don’t mind if ascended are difficult, require work, time, thought, and effort. I just don’t want them gated behind Crafting and RNG drops.

TL;DR: All attacks generate 1 strike of adrenaline, regardless of the number of targets hit. Reduce the number of strikes needed to fill the bar from 10 × 3 to something like 6 or 7 × 3. Revert the 3s pulse for Dec 10ths combustive shot, to 2s or 1s.

Adrenaline is a fairly straight forward mechanic, generate ‘strikes’ with each swing, spend them to activate burst skills. Some skills and traits grant you free adrenaline, and some even reward you for having a high adrenaline.

But the core of the system has a bit of an odd quirk, which has always existed. Each foe struck generates a strike. Therefore, if you hit one foe with an auto-attack, you’ll generate 1 strike. If you hit 3 foes with that same attack, you’ll generate 3 strikes.

Therefore, odd situations occur, where your adrenaline generation can literally triple by having extra foes nearby. This is part of the reason the Dev’s are nerfing Combustive shots adrenaline gain;
If you hit 5 foes with 4 pulses, that’s a total 20 adrenaline.

My suggestion to balance this out, is the following: All successful attacks generate 1 strike of adrenaline, regardless of the number of targets struck. As a result, the adrenaline bar would be shortened somewhat, to keep adrenaline generation roughly the same. As it stands, it takes 30 strikes to fully fill (10 strikes per bar, 3 bars). I’d suggest reducing the number to around 6 or 7 strikes per bar.

With that out of the way, combustive shot can be set to pulse every 1 or 2 seconds, instead of every 3 seconds. Pulsing every 3 seconds is apparently only being changed to nerf adrenaline gain.

Adrenaline gain or not, Comb shot pulsing every 3 seconds is painful! Many other AOE skills (Rangers barrage) pulse faster, in some cases MUCH MUCH faster. Barrage 0.6 second pulse, vs Combustive shots inc 3s pulse.

Hey everyone, just have a few random questions I couldn’t quite figure out from reading the preview notes! Hope someone has the answers!

1. Can we still buy +5 infusions (for 75 relics) after the patch hits?

2. Will we be able to combine any pre-existing +5’s into +6’s?

3. What’s the highest +AR infusion level available? +10? +15?

4. What happens to existing +AR infusions in an item? If you have a +2 in there, and socket a second +2, does that upgrade it to +3 (since 2 +s’s results in a +3) or does it simply overwrite?

If you frostgorge champ farm, you probably down a champ every 3 minutes on average. 180,000 kills x 3 minutes = 540,000 minutes, AKA 375 days of NONSTOP 24/7 champ farming.

That makes it unreliable to acquire in any reasonable amount of time.

Last I checked SINGLE (YOUR word used in YOUR quote) means 1 and 1 is less than 2. My math may be a bit rusty, but it’s obvious you are disregarding the RNG drops (or at least were at the start of this thread) because you don’t deem them as a plausible way to obtain the gear. Again, does not change the fact that it exists as a method to get the gear.

Actually, I had to make a second post, to point out the fact that you’re calling me out on disregarding RNG, LITERALLY the post after I explained I’m disregarding RNG as a viable means, and WHY.

Can you please read before you post?

@BG, You seem highly confused. I clearly answered this in my posts. Please read them before commenting on them.

ONCE AGAIN, I dont consider RNG a reliable method, because RNG is RNG. Random is not reliable. Just like the lotto is not considered a reliable source of income, a low low drop rate is not considered a reliable way to acquire gear.

Crafting is reliable because if you put together the materials, you get a set result. It’s not subject to RNG.

For exotic gear: Dungeon Tokens are reliable. Laurels are reliable. You could even consider WvW badges, which are a RNG drop, somewhat reliable simply due to their very high drop rate. And you can consider the TradingPost reliable, in that expenditure of resources (gold) WILL get you the desired item. Yes, the exact price and availability may vary, but in the sense of expenditure=result, it can be considered reliable.

But (look up at my rough drop rate math) the only reliable means to get Ascended in any reasonable time frame, remains crafting. You saying 1+1=2 does not change that fact.

RNG is pretty reliable, once the average rate has been established.

The rate on weapons is extremely low, from the data I’ve seen. Armor is unlikely to be different. Then, you have to hope it’s the slot you want, (x6), the armor type (x3), and the stat type (x10? probably more actually).

If the drop rate is 0.1% of all champion kills, to get a full set of your desired type, that’s: 1000 kills x 6 slots x 3 types x 10 stat types = 180,000 kills to get your desired set.

You seem to be under the incorrect impression that crafting is the only way to obtain Ascended items. What is absurd is expecting the Ascended armor to be obtained differently than the existing weapons.

I am in no way implying that this could not or should not change in the future, but right now there are more than 2 sources of obtaining Ascended gear. You opinion on how “fair” the methods are does not change that fact.

My opinion on how “fair” it is, is exactly that. An opinion. I’m not saying that im wrong or right, I’m saying that ascended weapon/armor acquisition is, in my opinion, poorly done, and I personally am of the opinion it should be changed.

Look, if I’m wrong about there being 2 different ways to acquire Ascended Weaps/Armor all means, let me know. If possible, link your source as well. But everything I’ve seen thus far, indicates 2 options: RNG Drops, or Crafting.

See, what I actually meant, was exactly what I said. Not sure where you got “I r teh madz cuz of bad rng luck!” Reading comprehension FTW.

To explain it again, there are plenty of reliable ways to acquire full sets of BiS gear. Crafting is one. But there’s also WvW badges, any one of a dozen different dungeons, fractals, laurels, guild commendations… heck, you can buy some of it on the Trading Post.

For Ascended weapons… it’s RNG drops, which are not a reliable means or Crafting.

And as a matter of fact, ANet devs DID say in a past interview they want people to be able to acquire top-tier gear by playing their own way, even if it’s not the most efficient way to do so.

Rune, I assume you mean Dolyak? Anyone can use…. except it’s terrible. So really, no one can use.

That leaves us with Warriors Healing Signet (6 button) , and Adrenal Health (class mechanic + 15pt trait), neither of which are OP.

Compare that to Guardian, for example….

Resolve Signet (#6 button) and Resolve Virtue (class mechanic) and dodge heals (15 pt trait).

Long story short, not OP.

The way I see it, there are 3 standard methods of stomping a downed player: Stealth, Multi, and Stability. IMHO, all balanced #2 skills should have 1 weakness, and 2 strengths. Observe….

Guardian: Wave of Light (AoE Knockback)
Strong vs: Multiple Stomps, Stealth Stomps
Weak vs: Stability Stomps

Guardian is a perfect example of a great #2 skill. It’s strong vs Multi and Stealth, but countered by stability.

Necro: Fear (Single Target Fear)
Strong vs: None
Weak vs: Stability Stomps, Multiple Stomps, Stealth Stomps

Warrior: Hammer Toss (Single Target Knockdown)
Strong vs: None
Weak vs: Stability Stomps, Multiple Stomps, Stealth Stomps

Engineer: Grappling Line (Single Target Pull)
Strong vs: None
Weak vs: Stability Stomps, Multiple Stomps, Stealth Stomps

Elementalist: Vapor Form (Movement + Immunity 5s)
Strong vs: Stability Stomps, Multiple Stomps, Stealth Stomps
Weak vs: None

Thief: Shadow Escape (Teleport Range 600)
Strong vs: Stability Stomps, Multiple Stomps, Stealth Stomps

However, notice how some of the other classes have a serious disparity with their #2 skills. Some are strong vs all 3 types, and some are weak vs all three types….

Lots of replies here, so I’ll respond in a general sense rather than quote anyone specific.

Economy Collapse
First of all, a direct trading system exists in virtually ALL other MMO’s out there. To anyone saying it would “destroy teh economyz!” try to keep that fact in mind. GW2 is the exception for not having a direct trading system, not the other way around. It’s economy is a black sheep among MMO’s that has no direct trade, CoD, or other such means.

Scammers
People will always get scammed. With, without a direct trade system, it doesn’t matter. Scamming and Social Engineering goes back to the very beginning of recorded history and is one of the darker sides of human nature. It exists across all mediums, and as long as people are they way they are, will always exist regardless of what they use to carry it out.

Technical Exploits
Any system out there can be exploited somehow. I’ve seen people place buy orders on the current TP en-masse before they can all be fully processed, and then cancel them en-masse backlogging the server, claim the gold they haven’t yet been charged for to place the order, and then mailing it all off to an alt account before the server can catch up, creating hundreds or even thousands of gold out of ‘thin-air.’ For the record, ANet fixed this a long ago.

So everyone whos saying the TP is flawless, and does everything we need… Sorry to burst your bubble here, but: You’re wrong. Your cherished TP is just as vulnerable to exploits as anything else.

I’m sure there will be rare drops too. They’re there for ascended weapons, so most likely will be for armor too.

First off, I sincerely hope that this is untrue. The whole theme of this game is to play the way you want, correct? Some people love to craft, some love to hunt achievements, run dungeons, or even aimlessly wander the landscape.

For the most part, top tier gear can be acquired through a variety of activity. You can reliably get full exotic weapons and armor from…

  • Mystic Forge
  • Crafting
  • Any 1 of the dozen dungeons
  • WvW Badges
  • Trading Post

Meanwhile, Ascended weapons (and armor if the rumors hold true) can ONLY be reliably earned from:

  • Crafting

Why JUST crafting?! Some of us HATE crafting! Aren’t we supposed to be playing this game our way?

New Weapon Skills + Capes

I like this suggestion.

Perhaps each button on the weapon can serve a similar purpose, but in a different way? To use one of the better know weapons, Warrior Greatsword:

Alternate to #2 Hundred blades (Purpose: Damage) – A flurry of attacks that inflicts less damage, but allows movement during the skill.

Alternate to #4 Bladetrail (Purpose: Cripple/Gap Closer) – Throws your sword at the enemy with a chain attached. The first target stuck is reeled in, pulled to melee range with the warrior.

Alternate to #5 Rush (Purpose: Gap closer) – A shorter range, but quicker more responsive leap attack

Fixing Mechanics: Boons and Conditions

My main issue with condition builds is not the conditions themselves but the stats required.

DPS builds require: Power, Crit Change, Crit Damage.
Condi builds require: Condition damage….. and that’s it. They can too easily spec for defensive stats while maintaining high damage output.

We attract the wrong type of player.

Got into a 2v2 battle in Hotjoin sPvP, myself (War) and ally (Engie), against 2 thieves. I managed to down the first, and badly injure the second, before I got downed. The downed thief was nearly out of health, and the up thief was on the verge of going down… the engi stood there in the Cap point roughly 10 feet away, watching most of the fight. Not helping stomp, or DPS, or even rezzing me. Nope. Just…. capping.

Needless to say, I ultimately got killed, and the downed thief rallied. Both of them, then double teamed the engi, who died. I suggested to him that, the fight was easily winnable, if only he’d intervened. Rez me, stomp the thief, or even just throw down his supply crate on top of the whole mess, anything but stand idle. The responses I got back were a barely legible mess of name calling, skill insulting, cursing, and suggestive sexual implications regarding my maternal parentage.

Needless to say I report the heck out of him, but honestly, this type of player will always be around, and will always act this way. Sad, but true.

Unbreakable Transmutation Crystal (unlimited usages transmutation) for 800 gems.

I’d love for this to be available, I’d buy it in a heartbeat. I played WoW briefly after their version of Transmute was added, and I loved mixing up y gear style often! Makes me sad that you have to pay an arm and a leg to get new, disposable transmute crystals in GW2.

Toggle Skills -AKA- The Engi Kit Treatment

This is something I’ve been thinking about for a long time now, but I feel like there are a handful of skills out there that are SORTA cool, and I ALMOST want to use them, but I just cant quite find a use for them. Either there’s a better option available, they’re too situational, or… primarily, the cooldown and the effect just dont match up.

After thinking about it for a long time, I feel a lot of these skills would be more appropriate if they were given the Engi Kit treatment. Now, hear me out before you start flaming, because I know it’s a big step.

Here are a few examples of such skills which could benefit from being the Engi kit treatment:
Warrior: Rampage
Guardian: Both Tomes
Engineer: Mortar
Elementalist: Conjured weapons
etc

Racially, there are a few skills that could use the same treatment:
Charr: Charzooka
Human: All 3 elites
Asura: Powersuit
Norn: All elite animal forms
etc

Now, yes, not EVERY skill is suited for this “Engi Kit” treatment exactly as it currently is. Some would absolutely need some readjusting. But with some minor tweaking, I feel this could easily be balanced, and opened up as new viable options, and new builds!

Finally, the cooldown versions can still remain, for those who like them as is…. as there was mention of new unlockable skills being added, perhaps an alternate version of some of these skills can be made available?

I understand the reasoning between rotating which minigames are available, but I feel like Keg Brawl is bugged. It only seems to be the daily minigame once per week, while the other three each appear twice per week.

And here I thought it was just me. It rarely seems to be made available.

I think the reasoning is to help populate the minigames better, but I feel like we could have 2 mini games a day, and still easily maintain a decent population in them.

Yes, there are plenty of bugs, flaws, and issues. There are tons of useless abilities I’d like to see revamped, and reworked. But as a whole, the class is in a good place and has been since June.

  1. Won’t happen, as Warriors have a ridiculous good access to blast/leap finishers. For example, Sword/Mace with a Longbow.
  2. Not going to happen. Would give far too much CC to Mace/Warhorn

That is true, though it’s all just a suggestion. Take it with a grain of salt.

  1. So what kind of cooldown are we talking here? Because it better be hefty, otherwise you’ll just make Distracting Strikes/Rune of Perplexity even more ridiculous than it already is.
  2. All nearby foes? I sure hope you don’t mean that, because a blowout that is not limited by the AoE cap would be ridiculously OP.

Cooldown on Kick or Stomp I figured would be similar to their current CD. Could even stand for an increase in CD, in the instance they really did get moved to an F3-4 slot considering they’d always be available.

Also, dont nitpick the wording. AOE is always capped at 5 targets. This holds true for 99% of the stuff out there, and none of them specify a target limit either.

  1. But where are you supposed to pull out infinite axes?

The same place thieves get their infinite downed state daggers from!

So basically make it the best interrupt downed skill? Nice…

No I’d say it’d be about on par with guardian.
In the case of the hammer throw being a mini-ground target AOE, it’d be slightly weaker than guards AOE shockwave move in regards to multiple foes, since Guards hits everything in a 360 radius, whereas the hammer toss is a tiny green circle. But hammer throw would be knockdown instead of knockback, and have a slightly longer max range, which I feel makes up for the difference and puts the two on equal footing.

Thrash is basically the same concept as Guardians 2 skill, except with a smaller radius, and a blowout instead of knockback. Again, it’s a tradeoff, and I feel it pretty much breaks even.

That would be like Vapor Form on performance enhancing drugs. Pop Vengeance, Dodge, Whirlwind Attack, Rush, Savage Leap, return to downed state, heal self to full HP.

Well I hadn’t quite considered that part. Though, Vapor form is immune, while Warrior Vengeance is not, and can be CC’d, Crippled, Immob, AOE’d, or just plain bursted down.

I wouldn’t bother buying that stuff at 78. Just stick it out for 2 more levels. Then you can start gathering up your lvl 80 exotic gear.

For Weapons and Armor
Your best bet would probably be dungeons. Decide what gear set you want (Soldiers, Clerics, Knights, Zerker, etc) then look at the vendors to see if your desired set is offered. Run that dungeon to earn tokens, and buy your dungeon pieces.

For rings, amulet, accessorys
Save up your laurels and guild commendations, and buy the ascended versions from the laurel and guild vendor.

For back slot
Buy a decent rare or exo at 80, because it’s a loong haul to craft your own ascended backpiece, or earn the fractal version.

Revamping Banners

Banners are fine. Compared to ranger spirits they are indestructible, mobile, and give extra skills. They can be placed on the run. They are reliable. They have good duration. They buff a group. They are fit for purpose with no trait support at all. If they’re not worth a slot in SPvP because warriors don’t need to specialize to defend points … well it’s a non-issue, in my opinion.

First off, they’re NOT very mobile. That’s the issue. Once you place them, you have to waste like 5 seconds in the middle of a fight, to get to them and pick them up. The auto-run-pickup glitch has reared it’s ugly head again, so sometimes trying to grab them gets you stuck running straight for a second or two, with no way to stop. Then you have to spend another second to either slam the banner to put it down, or quick-drop-swap it… which bugs your weapon swap out now too.

The “extra skills” they get are barred behind the above mentioned issue of wasting time getting the banner in combat. Thus, these extra skills dont have any real use. Plus, they’re rather weak and not worth casting for the most part.

The part of banners that makes them worth using, is the passive effect in PvE they see tons of use, because enemy mobs dont move. In PvP, enemies can easily force you to fight away from your banners passive, and it’s completely impractical to try and grab them to bring with you. Thats why you rarely seem them.

In WvW, a similar issue occurs, carrying the banner with you all day makes you a glorified buffbot. You could just roll SHOUTS instead, and end up better off.

Warriors are not asking for banners to be made overpowered, we’d just like to see banners be brought up to the same level of usefulness as an existing set of abilities we ALREADY HAVE.

I still astonished how Anet allow Thieves to drop an entire Shadow Refuge (and dark field), but not fix or rework these banners :/

Banners and SR are two completely different things.

Yeah thats apples and oranges.
But if you want to be outraged… take note of the fact that they’re nerfing longbow, a weapon that’s perfectly balanced and no one was complaining about, and yet the bugged longbow traits, and bugged combustive shot range, has never been looked at.

Or even just look how hilariously bad Powerful Banners is. 200ish damage if you summon a banner on top of an enemy…… So if I summon 4 banners on to my target, I may deal the same damage as a single auto-attack hit…. um, WHAT?

I was exceedingly skeptical, as I prefer our current system to several others I’ve experienced elsewhere. Nonetheless, you have convinced me; these changes sound very nice.

Yeah, I was sorta skeptical too, but it’s a solid tree. I know for Warrior, there are some traits (especially weapon traits) buried in the Master line that have NOTHING to do with either stat, or the minor traits offered by that line. It makes very little sense to me.

For PvP and WvW, downstate serves a legitimate purpose.

But for PvE? I think only Champions, and Elites should be able to go into down state. Vet’s, and normals should outright die.

Tomes would be really fun and add diversity if they were used as a toggle weapon option rather than the thing we have now.

Ofcourse they would need a total revamp if that happens.

Adrenaline v2, Downstate v2

Hello fellow Warrior! I hope you’ve been having the time of your life caving in enemy skulls with your mace and hammer, slicing and dicing foes with your blades! Today, I’d like to talk about a few specific Warrior mechanics, that have been bugging me for a long time now.

First up, Adrenaline
Adrenaline is a fair straight forward mechanic, generate ‘strikes’ with each swing, spend them to activate burst skills. Some skills and traits grant you free adrenaline, and some even reward you for having a high adrenaline.

But the core of the system has a bit of an odd quirk, which has always existed. Each foe struck generates a strike. Therefore, if you hit one foe with an auto-attack, you’ll generate 1 strike. If you hit 3 foes with that same attack, you’ll generate 3 strikes.

Therefore, odd situations occur, where your adrenaline generation can literally triple by having extra foes nearby. This is part of the reason the Dev’s are nerfing Combustive shots adrenaline gain.

My suggestion to balance this out, is the following: All successful attacks generate 1 strike of adrenaline, regardless of the number of targets struck. As a result, the adrenaline bar would be shortened somewhat, to keep adrenaline generation roughly the same. As it stands, it takes 30 strikes to fully fill (10 strikes per bar, 3 bars). I’d suggest reducing the number to around 7 strikes per bar.

Burst Skills are another topic I’d like to discuss. Yeah, having an F1 is great, but I would love to see more diversity, more options. One of my favorite ideas is to have an F2 burst skill, based on your offhand. Here are two examples below:

F2: Dustbowl (Offhand Mace) – Strike the ground, kicking up a cloud of dirst, dust, snow. Damages and blinds nearby enemies, and creates a smoke field for [2/3/4] seconds.

F2: Shatter Eardrums (Offhand Warhorn) – A sonic screech that dazes all nearby foes for [1/2/3] seconds.

F3: Kick: Knocks back target foe, always consumes 1 bar of adrenaline

F4: Stomp: Smash the ground, causing a blowout of all nearby foes. Consumes 2 bars.

Downstate
1. Throw Rock – “I wanna Rock! ROCK!” Oh… wait, no I dont. Throw Axe. Make it happen. It’s just a visual change, I know, but it needs to be done.

2. Throw Hammer: All around inferior to Guardians #2 (which IMO is a solid, and balanced ability). Hammer is hard-countered by Multiple foes stomping, Pet/Minion body blocks, Stability, Immunity, Stealth, or even a well timed dodge since it’s got a moderate telegraph.

Fix 1 – Hammer becomes ground target, with a small AOE, and a faster cast animation
Fix 2 – Thrash: Damage and launch all opponents in a small radius around the Warrior, Radius 240, Blowout 240, CD 12 seconds.

3. Vengeance: Ah the heart of the imbalance. Vengeance is both OP and UP at the same time. What a mess this skill is. It’s also buggy and very RNG; sometimes I rally after a kill even without Sweet Vengeance, and other times I dont rally when I DO have it.

Vengeance Fix: Duration 8s, Cooldown 25s.
-After Vengeance expires, the Warrior simply returns to a downed state, instead of outright dying.
-Sweet Vengeance now increases the duration from 8s to 16s, and gives the Warrior 5s of stability and protection when vengeance is activated.

I entirely agree! The only two activities I like out of the bunch are sanctum sprint (and I don’t like to hop in that one as much as I would have much preferred Sanctum Arena… Ellen won after all! Why didn’t we get Arena instead of Survival?!) and Keg Brawl. I would love to hone my keg brawling skills whenever I wanted to >:D

Sprint is boring, and repetitive, because you’re not really competing against other players. 90% of the time, you’re the only racer for the first 60 seconds, before more people join. With such a massive headstart, you should be ashamed if you even see another player during your run.

Also, trading is already fulfilled by the TP.

Many MMOs, including WoW, borrowed their mail concepts from the US postal system, which was founded in the late 1700’s
The Charge on Delivery concept predates the interwebz by several hundred years.

And this form of trade is obviously NOT fulfilled by the TP. The TP is great at what it does, and often this method of trade is a cornerstone in many economys (both real and digital) but it’s nothing like a direct trade system.

Thus, both of your statements, are incorrect.

If both were at 100% crit chance, thats olny 2 might difference (70power) and since gs scales poory with power..its not all that much. Why olny 2? Last the stronger strike ending combo.. I agree on part about defensive mindset tho..ppl goes crazy when they see big numbers. And thats where the “mobile hb would be op” thing comes into mind, but i actually know that even if hb was mobile its would be still useless (look whirling axe) without cc.

I disagree. If 100b were mobile, like whirling wrath, I think it’d help out.

Gotta disagree here somehow;
-HB (will explain below)
-Bladetrail hits olny close range enemies, anyone with iq over 5 knows to run in circles to avoid it.
-Rush is good for running away, but not so much to actually deal damage.
-F1 is useless

Too bad gs doesnt have a cc skill on its own so its has to come from other source such as offset/utility. Sorry but a bad desing is bad, and forcing to use weapon ppl might not like is just wrong. A weapon should be viable on its own, a offset can improve the main weapon, but making a offset following the rule “i must have it in order to make gs viable” is just wrong. Again..bad desing is bad

I also agree with you on BladeTrail. On paper, it looks good, throw your sword out to 900, cripple, and it even comes back for a second hit! If it worked exactly like that, it’d be pretty darn solid. Except, it doesnt.

Why Bladetrail looks awesome, but actually sucks
1. First off, the casttime/animation is slooow. The primary reason to use it, is outside 130 range, and within 900 range, which means opponents have a bit of extra reaction time. It’s easily dodged, and can even be sidestepped. It’s highly telegraphed.

2. The projectile-sword-throw is sloooow. The slow travel time means, that by the time it reaches 900 range, your opponent has continued to move further away, and may be outside the maximum range. When you’re chasing an opponent with swiftness, or with any kind of movement ability, it only travels slightly faster, than you or your foe, and thus the range feels more like 400-450.

3. The projectile sometimes doesn’t feel like coming back. If it hits anything, a wall, stairs, even a tiny rock, it vanishes and never returns. Yeah, I love having half of an already questionable ability lopped off because I’m not fighting out in a wide open, perfectly flat, field.

4. It’s just odkittenhrowing my actual sword? A magical copy of it? How do I make it return, even when it doesn’t!? And why can I keep auto-swinging while it’s flying through the air?!?! Yes, all minor complaints, it just strikes me as bizarre.

So, my suggestion for GS#4 Bladetrail? Easy.
Bladetrail: Throw your Sword, with a chain attached. If it strikes a target, the target is wrapped up, and immediately pulled in.
Faster Projectile, Range 600, Pull 450, CT 1/2, Cripples 4s, CD 16.
