-I can not make a thread at the moment and this is the only life force thread i find that is in relationship with this concern and problem-

Today i decided to ask the necromancer players here and see what action arena net need to take to improve life force.

My experience today-

-My guild leader begged me to spend few minutes in wvw with the guild: so i did-

This is something that has happened a lot when i play necromancer in wvw. This is also what discourage me to play this profession as well. I do not know if this happen to other profession but it need serious change by arena net.

My life force was full and suddenly, a thief and a mesmer attack me. I change into death shroud but i see that all my life force was gone, and that my death shroud instantly gone.

I share this with other necromancer players: they say that it was thief and a mesmer profession resetting and stealing my full life force bar and my death shroud to 0. I know thief have steal and mesmer have interrupt: so how is this possible without me using them? My life force bar and death shroud instantly gone?

I ask players in the guild and they each give me different explanation so in the end: my time ended. I hope necromancer players can give me their own explanation with suggestion.

1. Make Life Force and Death Shroud invulnerable and interruptible to all effects until it ends.

In result of my investigation: he is the only one who can take actions against hackers. What is sad: the evidence was there and i refuse to see it. All the responsibility and pressure is on him. Yes that is correct! Only 1 person is working in taking action against them. I am guilty of behaving to him with anger instead of understanding with patience. So i now know to not do that again.

Suggestion:

Let us continue to work with Arena net: Shazbawt and to be more understanding with with our words and our behaviors.

History show evidence that he took action before. From the evidence: he even sacrifice his time to work on a temp. fix until it gets better. In result: he should be appreciated for doing that.

We should appreciate him for accepting all the responsibilities including all the pressures. He even try to use humor to not feel pain, so let us help him.

I believe he truly want to devote his time to wvw and it is up to Arena net to make that happen for him. Also it would help alot if Arena net hire people to help him: the more help, the better for all of us.

Topic speaks for itself. From 100 to dead real quick. Torment, burning, bleeding, confusion, dead. I have no problem with condition damage being powerful, it SHOULD BE. What SHOULDN’T be is the overwhelming lack of condi removal on all but 1-2 classes. This comes from someone who plays cheese mesmer condi build, cheese engie condi build, even ranger cheese condi build. There’s too much conditions being applied and not enough condition removal.

Would it be easy to remove or reduce high conditions than create new skills to remove them?

Remove/Reduce conditions= less than 2 week work to resolve
vs
Create new conditions removal kills/mechanic= 1 year+ work to resolve
?

Well we can’t deny that the playerbase gets less and less which is pretty normal before a new xpac. But don’t panic, such threads come and go every now and then and is common in every online game.

That said, I think it is a very bad tactic/decision to be so secretive towards player numbers. I think it’s an Asia thing, so NCSoft wants to prevent bad publicity if player count drops.

If Arena net is making great efforts, making serious changes to repair and improve the game: there should not be any thing to be shame of.

I still completely disagree with a lot of the info and suggestions on here. For WvW to be healthy, the players have to be having fun, to be engaged enough, to be a WvW community. Forcing players to separate and force size and scale shows Anet’s lack of caring for communities.

The biggest difference in the Tiers functionally is the scale of combat. People on the top tiers prefer and enjoy the largest scaled combat available. Others like smaller scaled combat like 15vs15vs15. That’s why people are transferring to T3 right now. Trying to force players into a generic “one size fits all” scaling is full of fail. You’ll just end up lessening the experience most players are receiving. Unless you are in that Goldilocks zone of liking the middle.

-The reason i am bumping this thread because this problem still is being ignored and is destroying wvw and pvp very fast. Also, for the new problem: Condition that is doing the same damage and need serious change fast-

(This thread include many other threads are genuine, honest and sad because many players continuously asking is for arena net to make wvw fights to be challenging, fun, with skill-play, using hard-work and hard-effort to rewarded for it, in result in longer fights. Why is that wrong? Is that wrong for any businesses for customers asking to spend more time in the company product and to have fun? Shouldn’t that be a good thing? )

This is the most question many players from mmo games i play always ask me, “Are the fights challenging”? “Are the fights long”? in wvw?

I always give the same answer, “no”. In the end, they ask me, “that’s it”? Yes, that’s it!!

This Power Creep including the new Condition Creep need serious change for Guild Wars 2 long term.

Players want to play a challenge, fun game. Not to play a game that destroy their fun, challenge and their preparation in 0> seconds. That Should Never Be Tolerated!

What is the point for preparing for combat than if you are never given a chance use strategies? What is the point for preparing for war than if you are never given a chance to use your skills? What is the point of preparing skills, builds, gears if you are never given a chance to use them?

I know Arena net will continue to ignore this but it is ok… in the end: this thread including many other threads will be evidence in history to why gw2 fail.

Beta crippled by bugs, lack of info & devs

It is hard to give feedback about Mastery leveling speed and the Verdant Brink area when every event chain has bugs that stop progress. These broken events also seem to bug out adventures. We can’t possibly give feedback based on broken experiences.

It is also hard to know what is included in this beta. Core masteries are in the game but we can’t progress them when leveling in Core areas. We can also level Masteries to a point where what we have unlocked can’t be used in a meaningful way.

This beta should have more dev interaction so we know which bugs they know about (and they should tell us so we also know about the bugs) and also they should tell us which Masteries can be used.

I am aware it’s the weekend, but releasing a kitten Beta expecting feedback based on it working properly gives you foggy results.

What specifically is broken and problematic? The point is to offer feed back to resolve the issues, not aimlessly whine about them in an unconstructive manner.

Basically the devs are asking us how “the shoes feel”, and we can’t even lace them because the shoelaces are too short. Then people say “oh you should tell them the shoelaces are too short”. Right. We are all aware of this problem. This should not have been a problem.

Got a link to suggest this is exclusively the feedback they desire?

Personally, I think they should suspend your or anyone elses account for 3 days when you make an aimless complaint thread about bugs, while making a conscience effort to avoid offering any feed back, descriptions, or details, to aid in reproducing or solving the problem.

You appear very misinformed in my opinion. You have made multiple post here “claiming” to tell us what the dev teams expects from the beta.

The betas are to test maps, events, quest, more so then “feel” as you keep trying to shove down our throats.

Did you turn in a bug report as they asked you to do in the blog post?

If your going to aimlessly complain on the forums, why are you not being constructive and listed the event chain? where in the map it is broken? how it is broken?

Betas are expected to be crippled by bugs. That is the point of them, is to discover, discuss, and report bugs to be worked out. The bigger problem is when the beta is crippled by players. “Players who prefer to thoughtlessly rant on the forums about a problem, over the option of offering information to solve the problem, are a bigger problem, than any other problem”.

Does ranting on the forums is still communication? And why do players rant?

Who are the one who fix the problems: the the beta tester or the company (arena net)?
Do reporting problems mean anything if the company (arena net ) do not care to take action to fix them?

Look at the 1 week golem event where many players report problems of hackers, cheaters and exploiters to the company (arena net), what action did the company (arena net) make to solve it?

So I have been out working during the whole day, but it seems like ANET completely ignored the countless requests from the community to stop this event earlier or at least shift this to EoTM only, or, at the bare minimum, fix the Golem Buff exploit so that if we have to live the horror of this event, we at least live it without exploits….

But nothing, nothing at all?

Man, at this point I wonder if ANET even knows they have a forum in their website…..

Golem Rush Feedback Mega-Thread

So i check in my server for few minutes for the Golem Rush event. I see problems already.

1. Enemy Golems with their players take my server keep include our supplies every 5 minutes to 10 minutes. My server and their Golems ignore them and continue to take their keep.

2. ‘Rarely any fights’ because my server is already far into their keep land.

3. Repeat Step #1 and #2 Over again and Over again. Yes that is correct! that is all that happen, that is all Golem Rush Even is.

what i find interesting, the Golem Rush event did not even change my server #1 place against the other servers.

So my questions is:

What is the point behind the golem rush event if nothing changed?

It make no sense at all. Even many of my server players already not logging in wvw because of that.

Also. some of my server players do not even care if the enemy server take all of our keeps because it take 5 minutes-10 minutes to take them again

I find after few minutes i am only wasting my time for nothing. Same no challenge, Same no Risk-Reward, Same no Fun, Same instant kills, Same no skill-play, Same spam same buttons, Same Ignoring the problems, Same no serious change, Same Everything!

That is all!

Suggestion:

Fix Problems First Before Make Event!

(A player in my server made us laugh and said, “the Golem Rush Event only gives wvw: broken game mode better suits to wear” )

This is something that Anet should have Devs for in ALL aspects of the game. If you’re not going to try to understand the player base of a certain aspect of the game, remove it….

Remove what? WvW? This is the only reason I’m still playing this game. Tried plenty of others since playing this one and yet I get bored of them fast and come right back to just WvW.

Yeah, this game isn’t for you. Everything you listed is a hallmark of this game: no gear treadmill, no holy trinity, being able to get gear however you want (dungeons, pvp, crafting, buying it off TP), and when it comes to leveling the journey is as important as the destination. Basically this game isn’t a rush to level 80 so you can grind a bunch of dungeons so you’re able to grind even more dungeons.

It sounds like you love everything about the standard MMO, and all the things that GW2 tried to modify/do without. So yeah, unless you can break out of that frame of mind, this game isn’t for you. But at least you gave it a try.

I am talking about conditions in general on any build geared towards condi dmg, they are too potent.

There is no fun in fighting someone who has high defensive stats that can run circles on a point and spam conditions that ignore all your defenses, it is just NOT fun to play against. conditions builds are the most passive way to play and are frustrating to play against.

The not fun’nes is even more pronounced in wvw with dire gear and no drawback to siting in stealth while the world bleeds.

NOT FUN!!

Especially if all they do is focus you and daze/immobilize/blind you non-stop so you either can’t do anything or anything you can do is irrelevant. As a Warrior with 3,467 armor, and roughly 20,000 HP, I still die in like 2-3 seconds, while I can neither fight nor flee. What’s even the point of trying to build defensively if it’s irrelevant?

Things like this are why I play PvP only for the reward tracks, and nothing else. This mode would’ve been all but dead by now without them.

You already said it: what is the point? What’s even the point of trying to build defensively? This is why i play pvp in other game that is challenging, fun and reward skill-play, hard-work and hard-effort.

My suggestion to you:

" Never waste your time on things that does not value your time "

It’s my fav but the mechanic is hated on in every MMO. Sins in GW1, Stalkers in CoH and Wildstar, Rogues in WoW and AoC, Witch Hunter in WAR, etc, etc, ad nauseum.

I get it as they are often horribly designed and even more horribly implemented. Most game devs seem to focus on Warrior/Monk/Ranger and Mage classes first and foremost and everything else is the kittened cousin nobody wants to deal with hence the stealthy glass cannon class is normally broken at release and never truly fixed or completed.

Usually they just get nerfed to the point of death even though fans of the class like me will play them…self-gimping or not.

At the end of the day nobody likes to be ganked. It doesn’t matter if the ganker can be killed in one hit if the victim has any semblance of skill or awareness. The majority just hate the fact that if played well, outside bad or broken design, another player can “bamf” kill them “bamf” gone.

There is also the issue that most devs seem to design them from the ground up as a PvP specific class which tends to make them inferior in PvE which just adds more hate from the general community as while everyone else is able to finish the game spamming an auto attack the “Thief/Rogue/Glass Cannon/Whatever” class drops dead as soon as a mob farts on them. As for gated content that requires grouping…yeah…welcome to being last on the list to get an invite to that party.

This is now deeply ingrained into MMO dogma and the overall psyche of the genres player-base.

Personally I just love the play style but yeah…I get why they are hated on.

I do not hate thief profession: i hate Arena net challenge philosophy of reward without risk. The latest evidence is with the mesmer profession: do you see it? Arena net is using the same: ‘reward without risk’ philosophy with the mesmer profession.

If anyone can not see the evidence: i will help you see it.

1. Stealth
Stealth: reset fight, no risk

2. Burst
Burst: exterme damage, instant kill, no risk

3. Mobility
Did Arena net say they make adjustment to mobility?
Unlimitted access to run away from risk, reset fight, no risk

4. Teleport
Did Arena net make adjustment to teleport?
Reset fight, instant unlimitted access to teleport away from risk

4. Condition
Condition is not counter!, unlimitted access to stack condition, no risk

5. Acccess to Extreme Damage with little cooldown or no cool-down
Obviously, bad design because only reward with no risk,

6, Counterplay
No counterplay, no risk

and more….

Do you see the pattern?

Thief with reward with no risk, now is mesmer wih reward with no risk? It not only that, Arena net make mesmer a perfect copy of thief? Yes! like creating a Super Power Elite Army?

So before i write this, i test mesmer in wvw using stealth.. i was able to run into a enemy zerg: 10-15+ players and not get counter at all. I read before that memser can do same like thief stealth so i tried it and i was surprised.

Last i tried thief with stealth and change profession: same thing happen but i was reveal because i did not use strategy of timing stealth.

Here is difference with mesmer and thief

1. Thief is hard to play to be perfect
2. Mesmer is very easy to play to be perfect

That is only difference.

1 profession is hard to play but get same results: reward without risk-with less risk
The other profession is not hard to play and get same results: reward without risk

Conclusion:

I do not hate mesmer, thief or any profession, I hate Arena net reward without no risk or with less risk design philosphy.

The only solution i have is for Arena net to see the truth that reward without risk-with less risk will never work and will result in destroying the game and their players because it only result in toxic.

Toxic is not challenging, fun, do not work hard, make effort or take any risk. It purpose is to destroy fun and spread Hate. That is what is happening and happening for 1-2years+.

Arena net is responsible for making the game healthy, challenging, and fun with hard-work and with hard-effort..

That is all.

No tank, No healer, No trinity

I want to make correction of some people saying that trinity roles can not do anything without complete trinity party.

In trinity each role (tank, healer. damage) share similar ‘attribute’ of each roles. Example:

A tank can heal and do damage but not better than the healer and damage role)
A healer can tank and do damage but not better than the tank and damage role)
A damage can tank and heal but not better than the healer and tank tole)

It is not like ‘you have to wait for the complete trinity’, you can roam and solo but require more effort, more hard work, more risk and more challenge)

Buffs:

Buffs (food etc…) help each role to accomplish it. Example: if i am a tank or want to team up with a damager but do not have a healer: we can use buffs including our limited shared mechanic to help us to complete our goal. Also do not forget, our skills and mechanic can work together: skill chain, etc…

In the end again, because we do not have a healer, it require us to spend alot on buffs and to take higher risk with better strategy.

I want to share a plan to bring Trinity to Guild Wars 2: it will require alot of sacrifice (nerfs) Oppinion

-Solution-

Step 1. Chose the professions that fit Trinity role
Step 2. Scale all the professions ‘attributes’ in line with their Trinity roles
Step 3. Disable runes and sigils ‘attributes’ that are not in line with their Trinity roles

Examples:

1. Warrior- Tank> Responsible for taking high damage by doing less damage.
2. Power, Precision, Ferocity, Condition, Critical Chance, Critical Damage and Condition Duration will all be adjusted and be in line with tank role. ( No more high damages, No More high healing ) Toughness and Vitality will be adjusted and be in line with tank role. ( Higher Defense )
3. Mobility will be adjusted and be in line with their role ( No more high mobility )
4. Restrict Runes and Sigils to only buff warrior toughness and vitality.
5. Food buffs etc,,, will not be restricted.
6. Weapons will be in line with their role ( No more high damage, Restrict any buffs that is not in line with their role ( *No more speed buffs )

Again, this is the only way i think Arena net can do to bring Trinity: by scaling each profession to their roles including making some adjustments to their weapons, armors etc,,

Yes! it is a very big sacrifice.
