Something about a car race in poor english which i couldnt fully understand
Only thing you are forgetting is the fact that stealth users cant attack. Compare stealth to, for example, a shoutbow warrior.
Thief regens ~300hp/second, excluding his heal skill. Thief cant attack but can still get damage by any player that has half a brain.
Warrior regens ~400HP/second, excluding shouts. Warrior can still attack and damage the thief.
While in stealth, the thief (or other classes with stealth) CANT DO ANYTHING besides positioning himself better. He can still get hit very easly, and it doesnt require much to drop a thief.

You can not compare a warrior to a thief. Warrior have responsibility and duty for them-self and for the team/party. Warrior duty and responsibility is to sacrifice their life for the party and team. That is why majority of commanders are warriors: they stay behind and die for their team and party.
That is why i agree with warrior having high regens and high damage.
In the moment: i do not see what responsibility and duty thief have because all they do is stealth and instant kill and run away and restart fight over again with no risk or consequence but reward only for hiding while like the other profession take risk for them-self and others while visible except for elementalists profession and engineer profession
Suggestion: Remove all skills, mechanics and traits conditions while thief in stealth.
In my opinion: thief is a selfish profession: not a team player profession and that need to change.
-Thief should have been one of the most challenging and fun profession in the game-

It Is Fair!!
First of all, it make no sense to do 1 thing and another thing in the same time. Stealth is stealth Period!! Not do something inside stealth or do something while inside stealth! It make no sense at all!
That is another big problem with Arena net design of stealth for thief profession: everything happen in stealth in result make stealth a very poor design and most important: make stealth no challenge-free reward-reward only-no risk requirement.
Thief stealth can heal conditions, can do everything.. do that make sense to you for a challenge and fun game? while other profession have to work very hard to do all this while visible?
Example: requirement race-pit stop
Cars that are damage go to the pit stop to repair tires and change tires… with only exception 1 car.
Why exception to this 1 car? Is race requirement for damage is to go to pit stop for damage tires? Again, why make 1 exception to this 1 car that do not require it?
See how other professions take risk and be reward after like pit stop? Now compare this to the 1 car that is exceptional to them? Now compare this 1 car that is still racing? Now compare the result of the race of this exception car to the other cars?

I will continiously say again and again: hackers use tools that is already exploit in the game. Why do you think majority of hackers are thief and mesmer and use Permanant-Teleports , Permanent-Stealth and rewards only?

A lot of hackers roll Mesmer or thief to make it hard to tell if they just stealthed or portalled etc.
However this is not the case here. These two flip an entire border in 15 mins. They reappear seconds after you kill them. Yesterday they were even flying golems into a fully upgraded and defending SM. Yes, flying, not even hiding it.
Moraxxo, I believe there’s a person to contact in game called proheals, there may be a few more devs that are on and can help too. He can swap to that server and check or ours when it’s happening.

This remind me of mesmers and thieves hiding in keeps after the keep is captured by opposite server. I suspect they abusing that same code. That is why alot of player suggested before; once a keep is captured, all the enemy server players who are hiding will be kick out- like thief and mesmer.
And the only way a keep can be captured is to break gates and wall. So why Arena net refuse these suggestions?
If Arena net write codes to enforce that, none of this would ever happen or would be very hard for hackers to do.
Suggestion:
Example: not a coder or programmer
code 1- Entrance to keep is restricted only by destruction of gate and walls.
code 2- All entrance to keep will automatically be ground targeted “weigh down” -no jumping.
code 3- all entrance to keeps will be ground level.
code 4- limit portal and stealth access inside all keeps
code 5- restrict all stealths and portals once inside lords keep
code 6- Enforce a strong security system in all keeps: example; like a security system in a car- any disturbance or force entrance will call immediate attention.
code 7-Alll keep lords and guards will have full permission to instant kill any threats and disturbance and ban them automatically temp. until Arena net investigate.
code 8- give all lords and guards “true sight” abilities and “true sound” abilities to spot hackers and any threats.True sight- Ability to see invisible like stealth

Adjustment can be made like a timer. Example: downstate timer to wp. Difference is, timer in keep will be invisible to all enemy players inside keep.
Timer can be adujusted to 3-5 minute.

Again from number 2: there will be a adjusted timer: 3-5 minute to recapture lord keep or to leave keep. If past 3-5 min, all enemies trapped inside will be instant killed.

I want to share this by a engineer player and want to say: this “turret nerf” will not solve the problem at all. Like i say to many times; the main problem is in their traits: not only in their turrets.
See here as evidence: A true engineer will laugh at this “turret nerf”as a joke and they know it.
No Celestial adjustments: nerf, no change to Engineer being OP.

- Engineer turrets will be able to be critically hit. (Edit for clarity: this change means the turrets can take critical hits against them, but they still cannot deal critical hits themselves.)

I will say again for the last time: the main problem is in the traits: not only Engineer profession but including the other professions that are not challenging.
Example: if you want to make adjustment to a fast car; changing the car parts-wheels will not fix it. But their engines: the main part of the car.
The traits are the engines-the main parts for the professions. Weapons, sigil, runes etc… are the car parts.
That is why i suggested for the traits of the not challenging professions to be adjusted: they are too powerful!
So why not make adjustments-fix to the engines:traits?
Would that not be a wise thing to do?

I give honor to Ohoni for making this very strong post. Everyone is entitle to their opinion but many players who disagree with Ohoni fail to understand: similar thing is happening to wvw game mode include players where Wvw is being Forced treated by PvP mode: obviously is very too late for that. Yes! that is correct! Did you forget about that? so what do you do after? you get angry at a Pve player who see the same treatment of Pve game mode being Forced treatment by the same enemy game mode: Pvp?
Do you see what is happening? The same enemy game mode is doing the same thing to another game mode that do not want to be treated the same as you. This same enemy game mode is the reason why wvw game mode is dead this way. Do you feel better now? Do you not have any conscience for being treated bad? Instead of protecting this vulnerable game mode: pve, you make fun of them and chase them away to your same enemy.
Respect is all this vulnerable game mode is asking for before it is too late: like you: wvw. So why not all of us players stand by pve side and make this enemy game mode know, “enough is enough”!

I find this thread sad because it is not the first time players make wish list posts and threads in the forums. Yes! same wish from 2 years ago and later. So what changed? Here is the saddest part: Other mmo game company who are not even 2 years old or even 1 years old took players wish and make it happen for them and put it in their games.

I never played Guild Wars 1 but i did alot of investigation and research about it and also read alot of post and report here of how challenge and fun it was include exact what you say.
That they tried hard to work with players to fix problems in result made the game very fun and very challenging.

FFXIV definitely doesnt have 4 million subs. Square Enix like to word things in such a way that they make people believe they have 4m subs when in truth they’d be quoting registered accounts for example. Revenue for all the Digital entertainment section (includes all games IE MMOs, Browser games and Non Online Games) convered to USD was $632 million… if we divide that by 9 we get an average of $70m per month which is approximately the amount of money 4m subs at $15 per month would generate.
However that $631 million also includes all game sales.
They released Kingdom hearts in oct 2014, as per the report itself they mentioned a browser game and a mobile game that continued to have strong sales, they had 3 mobile game releases that had strong performances. They also mentioned strong sales on games released the previous year. Then you have box sales for FFXIV and Dragon Quest X. And what remains is money split between FFXIV and Dragon Quest X as well as what subs they still have for FFXI.So while like everyone else I have no clue how many subs they have, whats for sure is its definitely no were near 4m because for that to be true based on their income at the end of 2014 every other property they have would need to be generating not a single dollar for them and based on the report itself thats not the case.

Why not decrease the turrets effectiveness? like decrease: their damage, condition, range? and add long cool-down to turrets recharge like mesmer clones/phant, range, ranger pets and necromancer minions?
The fix are already in the game by these class: so why not use them for engineer turrets?
I do not get this at all: we player have no problem with mesmer clones, ranger pets and engineer minion because obviously they are not that problematic like engineer turrets so why ignore the good change?
So good change is bad for Arena net? So borrowing good idea from something that work is bad?
Is this really what Arena net strategy is of making this game better? To Refuse what work and to Refuse what is good and Ignore them?
In the end,
I will be honest again: this new change will make this game worse. More evidence of ignoring good and positive change and accepting bad and negative change.

Sunfish actually did the the most efficient thing since proving a negative is kind of hard.
You’re asking him to prove that something doesn’t happen within a timespan. The only feasible way to present evidence of that is to provide video evidence with a timer in between air procs.
Even then he can’t prove it’s not happening, he can only provide a body of evidence that favors his claim. He is bringing it up on the forums for others and the devs to verify if it’s accurate, he could just have filled out a bug report, but this is more efficient in getting turn around since the forums have higher visibility.
Whether it’s actually an issue or not is irrelevant when reality is that this is one of the best ways to deliver the message if it is an issue since you can’t prove a negative and having other players back up your claim is the best kind of evidence you could provide unless you are capable of spending time to produce a video.

The sigil has an ICD of 3s. It has a 50% of proc’ing. With a weapon set doing 1 attack/sec with a 100% crit chance, the likelihood of you successfully proc’ing every time the proc available is still only 50%. So every third time the proc is available you will fail it 50% of the time as well. If you fail it, it takes longer to proc.

Sure does work, but you hit like a wet noodle and heal just as effectively. Plus, you give up all your evasion so in the event you get interrupted, controlled or dazed, say bb to your health.
Its’ good for pve where things dont think, but anything that requires you to dodge will ruin you.

It’s not an exploit so there’s nothing to fix. Your inability to “resist” it doesn’t change that: ArenaNet cannot fix your laziness for you.
Dagger/dagger and sword/dagger are both a lot more fun to play, though.

As long as he submit his weekly report it’s all good.Which is pretty sad because I think a lot of us thought this was an effort by Anet as a company to be more engaged with the community and to improve their image.

If you just walk backwards and swing your weapon in most cases thief won’t have enough stealth time to backstab you, so he will wwaste it on facestab or just run out of stealth. SA thieves are sure annoying as hell, but backstab itself should be totally fine for anyone who played thief ever once.
Why the emphasis on backstab? Just a facestabbing thief can kill you and just stealth when you try to counter him. Facestab, stealth, facestab, stealth. You die either way.
Don’t pretend there’s a punishment for missing a backstab. It hardly matters.
There’s a team getting actual money to make sure things are balanced.
They needed to be sacked before the game got released. Stealth is the biggest mistake any game can make. I say this as a Dark Age of Camelot shadowblade (rogue) of four years.

If you watch carefully you’ll see that Colin is very excited talking about the features and things, while Joe just shakes his head in agreement and says “uhum” most of the times, theres only 1 or 2 topics he seem to find decent the whole interview.

There is couple of videos by Angry Joe calling Guild Wars 2 a “Spam game” and he also criticize the downstate, mobility, stealth and stacking in the game as being “horrible design”, “what was Arena net thinking of” and even say “how dull the combat system is” and “how there is practickly no fun element in the game as long you stand in a circle and hit the same keys over and over” + other words i will not put here.. and made fun of it and laughed about it..

Gunnars Hold does NOT support hacking so stop blaming a whole server for the actions of 1-2 persons doing this.
Servers do not just have 1-2 person but more like 1-100+ hackers. Still you are correct because can not blame all of the server for their action. So if there were more reports of GH players hackers, than would need full investigation and aggresive action but so far I do not see a lot of reports of GH hackers from my investigations in other guild wars 2 forums. (maybe there are?)

I watched the video of Angry Joe: if you listen carefuly, he say he does not play Guild Wars 2 and that he need to be convinced to buy next expansion. i am sure he read the forum and have negative experience in the game because he already quit the game. That is not a good sign at all.

I only play Pve game mode: sometimes would take risk to play wvw until i instant die by the same reward only no challenge classes. It is obvious why i do not play wvw and pvp.
Serious! What is the point of using all of your time for a game company who refuse to make the game fun and challenging: especially by the same classes? Yes! players do not play games because of professions but for wvw and pvp: it do matter.
There is no balance to make the classes in the game fun, challenging and risk-reward. Why would you pay anything for the same problem? why pay anything to see the same problem getting much worse? Why would you pay anything for the same ignoring our problems over and over agin? Why would you pay for anything when you report problems and wintess your problem hide and than be deleted? Why should you pay for instant death?- to always play for 1-3 seconds?
Since i join Guild Wars 2: i only pay 1 time and that was the end of it. I do not pay for problems be ignored, I pay for problems be resolve I do not pay for no fun and no challenge, I pay for fun and challenge
Lest me ask you: would you pay for problems? or would you pay for solution?

Isnt static discharge one of the hardest engie builds to pull off. It has super low sustain, and ofc that video is in wvw where most people suck :p
a better example of why engineer is overpowered is cele rifle or turret. Turret isnt really that OP, def not as useful in stronghold. Cele is also not really OP, but definitely needs to be fixed since you have good damage and great sustain. The problem with engies compared to other classes in this map is that you need ccs to stop channels and doorbreakers, and engies have a ton of ccs.
Ofc stronghold is on its first day of testing, and i dont think we can say any classes are GROSSLY imbalanced but i have a feeling engies will be brought up again. They seem to benefit alot from this game mode.
I understand what you say and i am glad you agree that engineer is a problem and need fix. Last: other class need to benefit a lot from this game mode; not only engineer. You are also correct about engineer problems.

Based on your post you lack serious understanding of gw2 active combat. First of all, that’s WvW, Second of all, all classes can do some variation of that.
stronghold, wvw= open field= no serious change= no serious affect on these classes.
No Change= No Seriousness. If No change to these classes, do not take anything serious.

What happen today damage Arena net (company) and us players (customers) relationship a lot. It was not nice at all: it was dishonest. So i have a suggestion that will help fix our relationship a little more: prevent us players from purchasing episodes entirely until all problems (bugs) involve are fix.

Interesting thread: i agree with you Jade Arkadian: Toxic Pvp Players should be taken very serious include their toxic behaviors. Toxic behaviors push players away from pvp and go somewhere else that do not tolerate it.
