wait… wait… wait… the main reason why I was so ticked off was that the queue popped and I clicked to enter the borderland. Yet, instead of going to the loading screen for entering the map, I was once again greeted by the borderland is full message. Having to start the queue all over again from the back of the line. That’s absolutely broken!

To add a bit more information, my position was #2 for several minutes and then the queue just popped. I don’t recall seeing 1 at all.
There should be some form of memory of the queue list. And, if it has issues as it did for me, it’s only just to remain at the front of the line still.

I’ve been sitting in queue for 40 minutes since reset. Finally the queue pop’s and when I clicked to enter the map it gave me the “the borderland is full” blah.. blah… message again. WHAT THE HECK IS THAT ANET???? Having to requeue for a bug is crazy….
Grrrrr…. please look into this.

Ummm…no…not really. The days of human wave rushes being a viable military tactic were rendered obsolete with the advent of the machine gun in WWI. Stacking or clustering of any kind is a mistake in the face of bombs, explosives, missiles, and rockets. Any army employing these tactics today in the face of modern firepower quickly learns a very real and very painful lesson.
No matter how heroic the notion may seem, the days of hundreds or thousands of soldiers bunching up together and marching off to fight an opponent are long gone. It has evolved to where multiple smaller units coordinate efforts across the theater to accomplish a common goal. So, no, zerging and stacking are not real world tactics that win.
And before the response of, “This is a game, not real life.” gets posted, keep in mind this is merely a response to DeWolfe opening that can of worms to begin with by asserting that zerging and stacking are real world tactics that win. LOL

The reason you see a lot of heavies is only because they are the head of the train. Light and mediums are mixed in there too. The meta is fine as is. The AoE cap is fine as is. If they increased the AoE limit all you’d end up with is GC Staff Guards, Ele’s, and Necros melting everything in range. Which would be boring as heck.
For starters a cool thing would be to get rid of all The kittening blobs.
No thank you! You can go roam on a lower population servers then if you prefer small man. For me, and many of my fellow JQ’ers, the most fun we have is full on 3 way lord room battles. We like long sustained fights! We like battling with and against siege! Leave our WvW alone!!! That’s why there are tiers with differing play styles.
I don’t know why folks don’t understand people like different things. Making every tier exactly the same will only hurt WvW more.
I’ve been complaining about thieves since launch and it falls on deaf ears. Unless we get new dev’s, Thieves will continue to be the kitten /troll dishonorable profession of the game. Even if people wish to proclaim it’s all skill, then the class simply has a greater ceiling than the other professions which makes them imbalanced. Either way, it’s not stealth as much as it’s damage output. Thieves scale way too high in WvW compared to their sPvP variant.
Yes, it would have to be 20+. Considering siege, food, and tonics I’d have in that bag. Of course, I’d curse every time I try to put a item, like tonics, that are soulbound. Why something like simple fireworks would be soulbound is still beyond me.
With the inclusion of Ascended Gear, we do require more access to Laurels. Especially when they limit the number of alts we can gear. Again, Laurels are a game mechanic that is alt unfriendly. Which to me is the only real end game there is, to make another character.
Like Karma, Laurels should be acquirable by every character and yet, still be account wide.
Nothing wrong with overflows as long as the events in them are time synced.
Where to begin…. well, I like the content. It’s a fun challenge and it’s interesting to try and organize so many. Interest in the Wurms though, has dwindle greatly. Please, correct me if I’m wrong on your server? But, there appears to be very little interest after that first week. Thus, something I feel should tried to remedy it.
My first suggestion would be to make it hourly. This way it’s more available to fit around the players schedules. It also give us a greater frequency to work at it. Two hours is a very long down time in between.
If not making it hourly, then switching it with the Marionette event would be the second best option. Maybe WvW players would/could take a stab at it before WvW reset on Fridays. As it stands now, they occur at the same time. No way a WvW’er is going to miss out on reset for a PvE event.
For modifying the event itself, all I can think of is further polishing and bug fixes.

And, what is an acceptable level of effort???? As mentioned scraps are not so easily farmed. It appears Anet is going out of there way to ensure there are no direct farming spots available for scraps. aka… Linen Banning

Can we please get the World Bosses synced in overflow? Either that or just put them on fixed timers like the Wurm event is please? This way overflows can be synced.
Stryker, twinks (uplevels) in WvW can work but only certain levels and very specific builds. For the most part, uplevels will get wrecked. Basically, there’s simply now way to replace the better trait’s and exotic runes/sigils with raw stats.
Considering many have complimented Snowball Mayhem as being the best PvP in the game, I’d say there’s something to having less skills. As Snowball Mayhem is distilled down to 3 only professions/roles with 5 skills each. It’s certainly better balanced and a lot of fun.
So…. if so many have been complaining in WvW about Thieves, maybe the profession has in fact been a broken concept?

My guess is that they made the metal bits dark to make the red bits stand out more.
Glowy red jewels stand out a lot better against a darker metal frame than they would against a bright shiny one.

Maybe you should Google Valentines Day? When you do, go to image search and you’ll find the holiday color scheme is white and red.

Cultural Armor, in my opinion, was a mistake and should be undone. Unlocking armor will only bring more choice and capacity in making our characters unique.
Lately I’ve been having more complaints than praise on the forums. Though, I do appreciate the style and like the Overgrown Keep. Please keep adding more like this to the game!!!! Whomever did this, have them work on some nice bright, shiny, clean, and crisp stylized armor and weapons please?

I’m sorry Dev’s, EotM is enough of a gold sink as it is. There is simply no way I’d ever spend gold for Siegecrusher. I’d much rather log than waste a couple hours worth of gold.
I go from one overflow and we own two keeps. I leave, reenter EotM 10 minutes later, and I’m on a different overflow. On this overflow were outnumbered and getting destroy. We’re spawn camped and the green team is even rushed the Legendaries for the lulz. The “fun” of this is way too imbalanced and quirky.
A question is, if all “Green” worlds are stacked together, isn’t that a truly flawed method? Shouldn’t it be more like T1 Green get’s placed with T2 Red, T3 Green, T4 Red, so on and so forth? The only color that could or should be placed together is Blue.

And to think, there are people who think eliminating all but Spawn WP’s would be good for WvW. To them I say, here’s a taste of how bad an idea that is! EotM is very slow and tedious. Even running supply takes WAY too long.

What’s funny is that this will only strengthen Zerging. Because why bother going out on your own only to get ganked? Instead people are going to go out in full map force zergs! Especially when it takes WAY too long to run around the map.

I chose not to post on that thread because the OP likes them. No need to poop on his opinion and thread. Also, I wanted to point out the overarching design theme of the game is too dark, Gothic, steam punk, and anti life. Which goes beyond the other thread that’s solely about the Love Struck items themselves.
While the basic design of the new Love Struck weapons are pretty good, what’s with tarnished steel color? Wouldn’t a nice white or celestial base with gold trim been more lively and appropriate for “love”?

Stop thinking it as ‘grinding’. find a way to make gold that u have fun with. for instance I run dungeons (only the ones I like though) for an easy 15-20g/day and am satisfied with that. haven’t jumped on a single train and dont ever plan on it.
Ok, and if you don’t like Dungeons or Fractals as I do not, how does one earn golds in game? The only other way to earn is to flip or farm, which are both grinds. Which is not that fun to do but, it’s what you have to do. So when you’re sitting there mindlessly grinding and someone get’s those “Lottery Drop” precursors, rare dyes, etc. it makes the game far less “fun”. As it’s near impossible to not start resenting other players and especially the Developers for making such a system.
Other games grind and RNG being worse does not automatically make GW2 good.

I don’t mind perma stealth as annoying as it is. If a thief is to be the ultimate scout class, then stealth and mobility all the way. The issue comes from the insane damage output. A thief should be a feather weight, light and fast with the lowest damage output in the game. Not a powerhouse with huge burst damage! That’s what’s completely broken about thieves, the damage output. That includes the condi cheese build as mentioned in the first reply.
Actually didn’t Isaiah Cartwright even do a WvW havok tutorial as a Ranger with 2 thieves and 2 Mesmer’s in his party? I still think Thieves are the Golden Child of the Dev’s.
