I LOVE Costume Brawling!!! I have all the costumes and love mix and matching them. Especially swapping out the toy on the fly for different support and attacks. What the heck is going to happen to costume brawl without having town clothes???
I made another thread specific to town clothes mixing. This is really a top priority to me. I use two accounts and bought most clothes and costumes on BOTH accounts. No less I buy gems with real money!!!
There’s A LOT I like about where you are going with the dye and wardrobe changes Dev’s. You have to take it all the way with town clothes though.
In fact I’m looking at screen shots and most everything I do is mix and match. No matter if it’s town clothes or armor sets, I mix them up every time.

How do you suppose WvW players will see the difference between a guardianand an ele to focus someone?
Don’t give this kitten as a false excuse. No one is using armor appearance to target opponents. Every Asura should be banned from WvW then. Since they are the size of a tic-tac on screen. In a zerg, with the fields flying all around you, you aren’t picking out armor. Then comes the fact that a lot of player play with the character model quality set to low. Making only the generic character stand-in appear.
I have a few questions that other might have. For one is, I love to mix and match town clothes. I seriously hope we can still do this as I own most of them. Next, will these mix and match town clothes looks be able to be applied to armor now? Which would be awesome!

Video or it doesn’t exists. By doesn’t exists, I mean it doesn’t involve instances or flipping. Also, what is a “few” hours??? I just spent 3 hours in WvW and made a tenth the amounts you’re saying. The whole time was spent zerging and I have a few hundred kills in said time.
Thus, again, back to the fact that gold is gated in a few very specific tasks. The games rewards should be more balanced.
Because the classes aren’t balanced. A staff ele for example has absolutely no chance in 1 vs 1 against a d/d thief.

And then comes crafting the Legend And considering I just dumped another large batch down the toilet just 3 days ago, I can tell you it’s not very kind to everyone. A session like that reinforces the belief in a hidden account modifier to drop and crafting rates.
Let’s cut the bull patties and define what a casual or hardcore/pro really is. Because a couple of post are using casual as a slur. For the most part, those terms are only describing the duration of play, not the play style or skill of the player.
The RNG of the game does not recognize player skill but, it does discriminate game modes. As instances having a guaranteed gold reward at the end, they are immune to RNG. The only thing RNG can do is make them more lucrative, not less. I’m going back to what I said earlier, we all know instances are where the greatest gold creation is coming from. The present inflation in game is more than likely being driven from instances.
For the person saying he earned 16g in 3 hrs of WvW, I’d just like to point out that that is an abnormally high amount.
Absolute waste of money. The trading volume hovers in and out of the single digits. Whomever priced these got it WAY off.
Though I will agree some people just buy without the slightest regard it seems. I noticed a low level craftable food had no supply. So I put one up for 1g and it was purchased in no time. I just shook my head in disbelief.
If by “farmers” would you be referring to key farmers? Then that would not be the case as blue gear is account bound. You simply reuse the same gear over and over. Not to mention with every pass you are still acquiring drops too. So farmers would be adding supply, not adding demand.

Could be a new group has formed to sell gold? No real reasoning for an item with no character or esthetic value to be trading for such prices. Only other reason is someone mistakenly put in the wrong values into a piece of software before going on holiday. They’ll be sorry when they get back home
The same goes for a level 3 weapon. It’s a rather poor choice in stats and you blow past level 3 in 15 minutes.

Never! Players that spend actual money on the game will always be THE MOST important players in game. Paying customers keep the company and the servers running. Without external sources of revenue to the company, that’s the bottom line.

It’s “easy” to gain gold in this game – that’s why others have many of them . You just need to tune your activities into correct ones.
In other words, you can’t play to have fun or play as you want. The dev’s want you to do x,y, z, (all instances) and flip the TP. Everything else will keep you poor.

Actually, people were more than likely earning more! That’s why the cost of living in Tyria is starting to displace players. Just like in the real world, these things happen. And yet, players have been shouting to nerf Thieves since launch! Burst builds should seriously be reduced as they are WAY to potent. The few times I’ve killed a thief is when they over extend or try to sit in shadow refuge. Which soon they’ll get a 50% damage reduction which is insane! Exactly the opposite of what players are asking for. So, I wouldn’t say they caved, they are just doing whatever they want.
I swear the Dev’s rarely if ever go into WvW and see what the players are actually doing. Too narrow of vision on tPvP.

So not only does work have no merit, neither does honest work I see. Ok, well… there are those of us whom actually DO NOT cheat the game. We actually are actively playing the content, not botting it. As in, the entire game and it’s players have to play where and how you want us to? How about, NO! For one, I don’t play the game to be stressed out. Queensdale is one of only two zones I actually like! How about you ask for new zones with the same pleasant lush green fields as Queensdale has and then maybe some of us will go there.
Why do I have a feeling this is just a selfish request to try and get ahead in the games economy. Instead of having anything to do with the zone itself.

I think the one thing the trinity brought out was different pacing to match player preferences. Right now, GW2 is very twitchy, ditchy, and *itchy. I’d like slower more tanky healing to match my preferred pacing.
For example, my Norn Warrior has to be tankier and have “Death from Above” slotted at all times. Why?…. because I love the feel of stomping around. It makes my character feel right to me. Though obviously people would complain it’s blah…blah…blah not optimized. Though for me the play style feels right. If it changes and I cannot have my play style, I’ll leave the game. So instead of trying to force players into a “Zomg, fast paced, twitchy, blah blah blah, adrenaline, yay me” game style, they should consider whom the paying customer truly is.
The commanders always call out for blasts, and I really want to pull out the hammer. But when you are in combat, that removes some valuable seconds of tagging with staff, resulting in less loot.

maps like Orr are completely empty, and maps like Queensdale are so crowded. Poeple pick easy loot=easy life.
People still don’t get it. Queensdale is crowded because it’s a gorgeous bountiful map. I don’t play a game to be trolled, pressured, and especially feel suffering. If Anet wants my money, they better make me feel good! Which certainly isn’t in Orr….
Can we please get some information on what happening to Crit damage foods? Are the stats’s staying the same or are they changing too??? They certainly aren’t cheap and I’d like to know before wasting any more money on them.

If it were 100 gold, I think a lot of us would walk away from the game right away. Horizontal progression would become insane VERTICAL P2W progression. It would be outrageous alt hate too! Especially right in the middle of Season 2 of WvW. 100g takes weeks to earn. It would be /game.

The actual problem is that they game rewards bad play. If you die at an event because you fail to dodge things EVERY SINGLE TIME you are still rewarded the same as someone who performed flawlessly.
What they need is a sliding scale of reward.
As I suggested in another post in regards to the knights. Give players that get participation 1 chest.
Players that avoid getting hit by the boss mechanics get 3 bonus chests.
Players that get hit only once get 2 bonus chests.
Players that get hit 2-3 times get 1 bonus chest.
Players that get hit more get no bonus chest.
Now players are rewarded for skillful play.
That’s a load of kitten. I don’t recall buying “Dodge Wars 2”. As if Dodging is the only metric of “skillful” play??? Also, dodging doesn’t get anything done!!! So some leecher runs around dodging the whole fight while not outputting any damage. Great, more leeching and making the rest of us have to do even more! GG

Troll thread! No matter how try hard you go, you can’t besmirch Kiel’s good name. And yes, Evan shut down the last open gate at the Gate Hub. Shud shut down the rest after everyone was kicked out of LA. Hence why we couldn’t reenter from either of the 3 adjoining zones until the time loop reset to the beginning.

Ok, but THAT is the cookie the gave me the issue. I cleared them one at a time and closed and reopened the browser to test them. Deleting that one fixes it for me.
If they wanted to have AB WXP in place by now, they would. Were waiting on the power brokers to give the green light or a dev to troll us.

I have to agree as it appears some bean counter thinks we’ll keep playing because of character progression. Instead of considering the obvious that by running alts, we’ll always feel lesser than everyone else. I have 7 80’s atm and it will take years to get them all to rank #455. Which is what I’d consider basic level for the rank abilities. So for years I’ll either run one full time to #455, then start all over again with the next. Or, play a little here and there with each. Either way, the character will always be less than other characters on map for years to come. I’ll more than likely stop playing because of this feeling of futility. For those that play only one character, they’ll more than likely get bored and stop playing. Either way, character progression in WvW is, was, and will be, a BAD idea.
… let’s not even begin with WvW Ranks and the power creep from Ascended gear that’s compounding the issue. The 15+% in addition to the applied’s is utter power creep.
warrior: if you see a thief, go afk and get a drink, come back 5 minutes later and decide to check facebook. Then click on guild wars 2 and start checking what’s happened while you’ve been gone, once you’ve done this, spam /laugh a few times then whack the thief with a hammer twice and jump up on down on their corpse while the healing signet regenerates all of your health that the thief took down (about 5000)
Either my Warrior has broken armor or you aren’t facing good thieves. I’m still hit with 4-6k Backstabs. Not to mention it’s the pistol condi thieves that are an issue. My biggest problem with Thieves and Mesmers is the “rock paper scissors” meta of this game. More than likely I’ll die with my zerg build, swap specs, then hunt them down for it.

Achievement Leeching isn’t the issue. Achievements are a simple one shot thing. Now the loot leeching that’s taking place is a REAL problem. We’ve had naked players leeching blue knight all day and all week. They know they’ll get rezzed during the fight. They are using Rangers with auto attacks to get a tag and defend themselves while afk all day. More than likely they’re using a script to auto loot too. In the past two weeks they could easily have earned over 200 gold for basically botting the knight fight. That kind of leeching is a real problem. Anet really should have had people monitoring LA to weed these people out.
