Given the level of the posts across the forum I don’t think they’d stop even if Anet gave them gems or a character slot. Gems work to a degree since the people who only have one character would continue to complain since they have no use for a character slot. However even though the others can purchase a character slot with those gems they’d continue for the character slot in addition to the gems.

Furthermore people would complain and demand the same gem discount of 50% that the Ultimate edition is getting. There is no solution to quell people right now they’d be best to wait a week for people to cool down before doing anything. The base game included three years of content this expac will also contain every update they make until the next expac which is dirt cheap in the realm of MMO’s. It’s not the base anything but rather the span of time and content released during that time that people are paying for so more than likely this outrage will die down too it is the first day after all. However gives first but after a week I expect this to die down drastically most likely when new LA and trait changes hit.

$50 from now until the next expac and this level of response is shocking I’d say wait a couple months until a price drop but Drama is obviously your target. I’d say try another MMO but I’m sure they’d have a heart attack seeing what other companies do.

There gonna pre-order or buy the game regardless and start a train of Drama from one end of Tyria to the other. Those who have decided to skip the next expac or simply wait a couple months after release have obviously already committed to this and thus wouldn’t post on these boards with there Drama.

$50 for the expac and every update they make to the game until the next expac is a bargain. It would take 4 monthis in a sub game to surpass this amount but GW2 isn’t a sub game and thus every patch, every update, every change made in game until the day they choose to make another expac will be covered by this measly $50.

Heck apparently I’ve bought WoW 3 times already because there expacs come with the core and all prior expacs every released prior. Not even the worst community out of any MMO has shown what I’ve read today in this forums and seen in game. This community has become has simply surpassed them which is disgusting. People will either buy the game or wait till a price drop yet all this people are out forcing there opinions on each other a jolly good show of entitlement.

That’s too much I’m an entitled gamer and you all are white knighting Anet shame on all of you the expansion should be purchased with gems so it can be free. Also $30 with no character slot, bag slot, or new race???? Shouldn’t even cost gems should just be straight up.. wait no Anet should be paying me to play this game cause I’m super important and self absorbed I cast down my divine judgement on all of you because your not aloud to have a different opinion than me.

No one hear honestly beleives this will stop even if Anet makes changes this whiny entitled generation of kids has found it’s way into every level of gaming. They lower the price they’ll QQ for a character slot if they do that they’ll complain the $100 is to high.

Vocal minority the same people posting on multiple forums and starting disputes in game with this nonsense. If you don’t like then don’t buy wait a year for when it’s cheaper this kids are out to convince everyone to their own selfish views they wish for people to not preorder HoT so they can attempt to build the numbers to pressure Anet. Which isn’t going to happen as far as I’m concerned these people would rather see an end to the game other than they or even other people pay $50 for the game because they don’t respect other people or there ideals. Sort of like politics getting mixed in with our gaming. I know I’ll get flamed out of the hundreds that viewed this post there is bound to be someone vocal enough to complain about this post.

If they remove him they’d just replace him with someone worse or strip us from all leadership roles completely. If we took his spot they’d have to make a decision based system but since that would be to complicated in a game without world phasing.

Electro dyes need to return…

As for gemstore “THEME COMPLETION” we have a jack in the box sickle yet no toy themed Axe or Pick. People mentioned the Dreamer so give them a unicron finisher or something. The only theme in this entire game a person can really complete in all aspects from gathering tools, finishers, mini’s, weapons, armor and so forth is a Fire theme. Armor needs to come out of the Cash shop and added with new content as rewards but the cosmetic stuff needs to be completed. We got the made scientist stuff the other day and that was a complete harvesting set yet some early items like the Frost wasp are yet to be complete?

They completely removed clone death mechanic and condition traits from the game.
They also removed Mesmer Glamours Conditions from the game as well this completely kills a couple condition based playstyles. Always felt Shatter conditions were pointless as once your clones are shattered all at once your left open for attack and traiting for that means you passed up on other skills.

So my Rampager’s Ascended armor is worthless and I’d very much like a respec or a return of my original playstyle. Actually my heal is worthless now too because it relies on clones on the field for passive regeneration and shattering prevents that regen so more than just gear needs to be changed with the trait changes and trait removals they are doing in this game.

PVE is dead for clones as like the TC said there is way to much AoE

Phantasm discussion thus far seems on tract since even though they’ll die quickly they at least last long enough to accomplish something. Agree with the distortion too but all this survivability talk probably wouldn’t make it in due to the PvP aspect. Clone death was such an easy fix but adding survivability like people are talking about to fill the gap would just make other PvP players QQ so I find it doubtful.

Reducing the cast time and shortening the CD might be workable though

- Making Interrupts more viable
- New traits are fun and interesting
- More Support options
- More AoE options (and even more with Chrono)
- I might finally be able to cast off my centaur runes forever!

Overall I feel we’ve been spoiled, especially in comparison to some other classes.

Disagree, also how can anyone even state were getting spoiled when none of the other classes are revealed yet?

We were the first class chosen and we are also the only class given and offhand(2-skill weapon)

You always save the best for last and the most controversial thing for your intro. People are complaining about mesmer because there are things to complain about and the devs are aware of it. However it doesn’t matter because they have several other classes to reveal and all of this will get buried from the hype and satisfaction of the other classes. They get more weapon skills right off of the bat and the changes made during the 3-trait line changes for most of the classes were minor when compared to mesmer and all there playstyles are even intact as well.

So I expect the Chronomancer and the Mesmer to get overshadowed by the other classes when there Elites are revealed. The only class that will probably see anywhere near the amount of complaints is the Necromancer as there boards are still upset over the last stream just like the Mesmer boards.

It’s a build that people used and the entire mechanic was removed from the game completely. They didn’t even give and alternative and what’s the point of clone now anyway? They’ll die before they can get off any of the so called Critical Hits anyway. You summon a clone in pvp it gets nuked or destroyed almost instantly but with the current dissipation line it wouldn’t have died in vain. With this new line there is no point to them at all. We can’t even spread conditions anymore Debilitating Dissipation is completely gone and adding none damaging conditions like Blindness completely destroys any Mesmer who has any sort of condition damage on their ascended gear as relying heavily on confusion is just as bad as the Condi Burn Guardians whose have to rely on second burns since their Condi can be cleansed so easily.

Mesmers now lack an attrition playstyle or a style capable of spreading conditions quickly to a large amount of people. They also killed Condi glamours for super speed of all things? I never used conditions on my glamours but I’ve seen it in PvP though that build is also dead along with retaliation thanks to these changes though it died a long time ago with the first condi nerfs to appease the other classes. Anet is just removing Condi builds all together instead of nerfing them this time around.

(Edited from a previously deleted post and at least we know there reading posts but without an actually response what’s the point of any of this there not gonna bring back clone deaths and without it the class has lost a chunk of consistency because you need to make the clones before you can shatter them and those clones are a resource with a CD. So even though they can be dodged or even a miss the option to simply destroy that resource making sure you never get that shatter. They need to run to the target through whatever is happening at the time including an enemy target before they can even shatter. I person picks a class because of they like the playstyle not only have they killed some playstyles but they added a fair good deal of inconsistancy with the classes core mechanic. When another class hits a spell or creates resources for use the effect will go off but with the Mesmer that was never the case but if it failed the clone death effect would kick in which we no longer have in the game after HoT and even the Chronomancer a heavy shatter class is effected by the lack of clone death effect.)

No for the only thing this does is add a layer of restriction and remove a good deal of diversity from the game. I disagree that any of the Pro’s you mention would actually be achieved with such a move.

World of Warcraft did this and the end result ending up being nothing but mindless and trivial rotations with minimum effort. The worst type of elitism that forced players into set builds rotations on play styles. PvP in that game is nothing but nonstop carbon copies going after one another and the term off heal is completely non existent.

In this game where we already tie skills to weapons and the choices are already so few. The support and heal skills are already so few and they don’t work in every situation neither due the utilities. Either you want lock pvp into a linear path in which you can tell the heal and elite skills of any character based on there initial skills or you just want to force other people to your will. At any rate I’m completely against such a move and at a time when play styles and builds are getting removed from the game already thanks to HoT changes this sort of topic screams trolling.

If they do anything else for our skills and traits it should be a template system and reworking the system and unlocking skills for underwater combat.

or.. or… maybe just maybe they could simply keep clone death effect then all these topics and discussions about mechanics wouldn’t have a need to exist.

Clone Death filled kitten in the mesmer rather nicely and without it the hole has grown into a chasm. What do you do if your the clones you spent time on creating up to three and picking a shatter that has a lengthy CD fail to reach there target and actually shatter. Should they be invincible, shatter on the spot, or if the fragile things get cleaved your left with zilch and wide open for attack without a way to defend yourself because you traited for those clones those resources.

Also minions and even players target clones if they receive super armor and lets say a necro minion targeted it then that clone becomes an sponge that absorbs dmg thus having unintended side effect as while it’s indestructible it’s a wall. Simple solution is keep clone death or force everyone to shatter there phantasms. Also if you add survivability to clones then that takes away from phantasms as the longer lasting illusion. I feel this clone crit thing there trying to push also takes away if more so as at least with clone death you’d shatter for a finishing blow.

Clone build’s simply aren’t a viable option

however if it fits your play style it can be more viable than other options depending on how the person utilizes it.

many will agree if it works for you then its the most viable play option.

Meant not viable anymore

My play style was clone deaths and my secondary was glamours of all things primarily because it was fun. But oddly enough both were killed and thus I post as often as I do against these changes. Feedback/Null Field no longer blinds and confuses targets as well as the reflection/strip but now just boosts speed along with there primary???
Blinding foes and Dps does more for group support than increasing there speed in such a tiny area during combat of all things.

My play styles are dead and the clones that remain are less consistent they can be dodged, killed, or even missed and unlike other skills for other classes clones are a resource that needs to be set up in advance before you can shatter and the fact that all that can lead to a complete failure leads to added risks and less consistency.

@Doam:
That invulnerability would be for only when illusions (not just clones, both both types) were running to the target to shatter. They would not be invulnerable any other time.

At least that’s what my thought was for that potential solution to illusions being popped before they could actually shatter on a target.

So you’d have:

  • Mesmer hits shatter skill
  • Illusions gain invuln
  • Illusions run to target(s) to shatter.
  • Illusions shatter … unless their target take advantage of terrain … because AI :-p

Just wouldn’t make sense that something so fragile would all of sudden gain super armor. Besides if they did they’d have to make them Un-targetable as well as that would also add a wall effect as they’d absorb damage as they ran in for the shatter. All of which is more complicated than leaving in a simple death mechanic

We can give them super armor when they shatter skill is used and make them un-targetable or we can just make them cripple people around them when they die. For a class that has more glitches than other class and the fact we’ve had problems since the launch of this game I don’t have high hopes for them adjusting the survivability of clones in the slightest. They gave us a longer stealth duration traited most likely in an attempt to mitigate the clones as a distraction tool but that will just lead to more problems than it actually attempts to fix as well. We were already a broken class there just adding more cracks in the glass.

Off topic but tell that to the necro community.

As a reply, I’m just going to re-quote the very post you quoted:

Oh please, keep the tinfoil in the drawer! /rolls eyes
What possible purpose does a for-profit company have in keeping one of only 8 professions from being viable on purpose? To lose frustrated customers? Not logical.

And it goes beyond that. Devs are naturally lazy (as we all are, conservating of energy and survival and all), but their job security is very much a concern. A dev has 0 benefit from intentionally of knowingly neglecting a class in design or implementation.

Best case, nothing changes. Worse case, they’re out of a job because the company folds somewhere down the line.

Not a sensible assumption to make.

Must not play many MMO’s

It’s a completely reasonable assumption heck WoW is widely known for there FOTM classes. The first set of condition changes in this very game is a testament to it as well.

It’s not about neglecting a class but building up another class in the game the conditions Confusion, Retaliation, and can’t quit remember the third were nerfed heavily because they require to user to basically damage themselves. So in order to help the Warriors who were too busy and important to check the conditions on them they decided to nerf them. With this Zerker became supreme as the majority of the players were made happy by sacrificing the minority. The heavy condition class the Necro became a joke and there neglect goes back years the term No Necro’s is still fairly common in none Zerk only groups. This is the same deal as other classes probably complained that Mesmer who didn’t just spam clones but mimic’d those clones to the point that people would destroy the wrong target were to difficult to deal with and thus they went on this campaign to push mesmer’s to give up there position and shatter more often. If the field is full of clones why roll or use any skills the clones cannot and the target dies. Any build can be as easy or complex as you want it to be.

The golden children are made greater and some people will probably leave to play those classes hence the FOTM. Though unlike WoW they don’t change things up and Warrior has basically been the FOTM since launch.

Crippling Dissipation

in Mesmer

Doam.8305

You make some clones and then you shatter them when you think about it that’s a long process compared to anything else that the other classes can do.

Devs removed all clone death skills because they said it was unhealthy and they removed all glamour based conditions on a similar note for a speed buff of all things. These changes bring up more problems for the class than actually fixing anything. Most likely one of the golden classes QQ’d because they couldn’t tell clones from the original so the devs are off trying to push us to shatter them.

If your clone dies you at least get an effect for your time and effort since you have to willingly give up other traits to increase the effectiveness of your clones and shatters. Every Zerker and every mesmer in the dual line had a security confusion blast.

Now since they removed clone death skills there is no security your clones have to run to the target before they can shatter and they will probably get destroyed by AoE/Cleave and with Crippling Dissipation they have a clear shot at you and you still have to wait for your clone skills to CD. Every shatter or clone build lost that extra security as clones are fragile and die easily so naturally a person will target your clones now until CD catches up to you and with sacrificing other traits for clones it makes you an easy target. Also the added DPS that ocured when your clones were wiped out do attacks while running to a target for a shatter is completely lose so that’s a drop in dps for those type of builds.

Just by removing clone deaths that added a great deal of uncertainty for Mesmers and as for PvP I’ll be bringing skills to wipe out anyone foolish enough to be using clones after. The replacement mechanic is based on your clone crits and crits even with a high chance is still a form of RNG but the clones won’t live that long to get any crits and as a resource clones will be targeted and destroyed with a higher priority as it’s not like they’ll be crippled/punished as a result.

Dear Robert, why clone death matters

in Mesmer

Doam.8305

Clone build’s simply aren’t a viable option

The shatter can already be dodged and the sheer fragility of clones coupled with the fact that they have to run to there shatter target means that there is a chance that the build up and shattering of clones which takes time mind you won’t always result in a hit or any sort of damage. This clone critical hit deal there trying is a clone engine all it’s own with great flaws than the current for the they may only get a few strikes if any before they are destroyed. Way to much RNG and uncertainty introduced compared to other Mesmer builds like Mantra and Phant.

Clone death traits were built into a line so matter what happened at the very least clone death resulted in confusion for Zerkers and those traited into dueling.

This talk of increasing the survivability of clones, making them immune to AoE, or even making them shatter in place just complicates the issue even more. Simple solution was clone death which we already had with we grant immunities and survivability then that might make them superior to Phantasm unless they too get a scaled buff. Shattering in place for a ranged clone wouldn’t hit the same number of targets as the current shatter is an AOE. If they Shattered in place then they fragments would head to a single target the one they were locked onto. It would be single target and while they could make it AoE burst on that target they couldn’t make it an invisible projectile. It would need animation and keeping the same clone running animation wouldn’t make sense because giving the projectile animation the current clone running animation would be that same as granting them super armor at the press of a shatter.

The other classes have builds that don’t take advantage of there core mechanic as well but I don’t see those play styles getting removed. If you want a constant and reliable form of DPS then clones are no longer an option as your better off shattering your Phantasms as they have the survivability to get a few hits in and make it to there targets safely in order to shatter at a much higher rate of success they even added a trait. For those who might try this clone crit build there adding then think on what you would do if you had to fight such a build? Simply AoE kill all the clones your not gonna get crippled, conditioned, or punished at all and the Mesmer is open for attack while waiting for clone skills to CD. If they shatter you roll and your safe or since the clones are coming to you then just destroy them before they can shatter.

People like consistency so I figure less shatter builds/Mesmers overall unless they make some hearty changes to the clone mechanic to replace something as simple and easily implemented as clone death.

Man, someone didn’t get any hugs as a child.

People aren’t sheep, shills, etc. for disagreeing with you … especially if they provide facts for why they disagree.

Personally, I enjoyed on clone death because it did just as you said … made sure that almost no matter what my clones were going to have some impact on the fight.

What this change does is force us to re-evaluate how we make use of our illusions … just like any large revamp should make you re-evaluate lots of things.

Many of us are okay with the removal of clone death because we believe the other things that we are getting are sufficient enough to make up for it … or some people simply didn’t even use clone death so couldn’t care less. It was actually not a very common build.

That make it a bit more clear?

I’d give you a hug, but I think the salt levels would give me a heart-attack or stroke.

Mmmm… Salt
Killed my build to be sure but what this change does more is kill the use of clones there is no longer a 100% chance that Shatter skill when used will land a result. Minor AoE will kill them before they reach there target and World Bosses will just be more problematic. This will just drive people to use something more constant like phantasms and will narrow down the options people will have not just because they removed the play style completely but because not only can a shatter result in a miss which came through changes they made through the year. Even if the shatter would connect there isn’t a back up in case that clone was destroyed as clones need to run to there target first before they shatter. So why use clones there not gonna live long enough to crit anyway they gave us a phantasm shatter trait which is probably what they intended for Mesmers.

Also my Rampager is ascended and without Debilitating Dissipation I need a new ascended set. So praise the salty goodness

in Mesmer

Posted by: Doam.8305

Rampager’s stats:

  • High precision means that you and your clones will crit often … more bleeds & confusion
  • Power means you won’t hit like a wet noodle … just won’t hit like a berzerker
  • Condition damage means your conditions will hurt … not as much as Rabid/Carrion/etc. … but quite a bit.

As far as what you need to do to get the cooldown … they mentioned it was Mesmer’s autoattacks AND the clones’ autoattacks.

A Mesmer with just 3 greatsword clones (don’t know why you don’t have a phantasm, ignore that, lol) is going to have each clone hitting 3 times every ~1.5 (see wiki for: 1.4) from 1,200 range without having to worry about anti-projectiles … applying bleeding and confusion on crits.

On top of that, they will be reducing the cooldown of your Greatsword skills. Whether the Mesmer is auto-attacking or doing something else is irrelevant.

Debillitating Dissipation is gone
Rampager’s might as well be dead as well with these changes if your just gonna trait to a single condition like confusion it will just get cleansed same problem the Condi guardian has had over the years.

Clones get wiped out even from minor AOE as well so the chance that a clone will actually get some crits off in PvP or even in PVE is next to nil not to mention clones are completely worthless for World Bosses now.

No point to a clone now as I can see it as it will get killed even running in for a Shatter Skill.

What is the point of clones if not for a distraction and now when someone mistakenly attacks a clone and destroy’s it they are no longer punished by effects. My ascended armor is even made mute I can no longer spread conditions to the masses by spamming my clones to the field so Mesmer’s can no longer spread the gamut of conditions at the previous speeds.

Then they killed glamours as foes are no longer blinded, confused, or so forth so the other source of mass and random condition dmg is also removed.

So yes HoT is killing build diversity as they want everyone to be a physical Zerker
Wore ascended Rampagers and now there is no point I’m forced into the Zerker meta and I’m not even a Dungeon runner as I don’t care about mindless dungeon runs.

Main hand Shield for a Mesmer or and Engineer would make sense though not sure what the off-hand shield does the reflecting and abilities of a Mesmer could make use of it.

Also Captain America main hands a shield and that’s Murica’ so nuff said

To be honest I’d rather they seperate skills from the weapons or at least give us some sort of customization for the weapon skills.

Other weapons like Crossbow, Polearm, Knuckle, Tonfa, Great Axe,, Launcher/Cannon, and so forth would be nice but in a game that forces skills and weapons to be combined I doubt they’d be made available part of the reason I think skills and weapons should be separated to a degree as a new weapon would require a new play-style in this current set up.

Humans/Norn while that game has Human/Gnome/Dwarf and they have a Norn like race too it’s just not playable and the elves are just humans with long ears. Sure that’s only the alliance but I’m alright with the Norn.

As for the two dragons the water one should be deep sea or at least I hope it’s the deep sea while the other is the high mountains and will probably have more of a Norse feel to it. They’ll have to fix underwater combat though or at least I hope they fix underwater combat.

Lastly there are more than two mistakes and the largest one I can see was that temporary content deal they tried to pull. Living story one still isn’t up yet and after nearly 3 years they barely have anything to show for it mainly due to the fact the vast majority of the content they did have was completely temporary. New players can’t see what Super Adventure Box was like or the Labrynth Cliffs. They don’t even have any idea what LA looked like prior and the current state of LA is a perfect example of the current state of this game. Broken scattered and in dire need of repair every time you log into this game for months the dreary and broken LA is all you saw. Not only there but the only thing that wasn’t temporary was the garbage the wreckage of toxic tower, marionette, and those beacons are all eyesores none as big as Lions Arch itself. How do they expect to retain new players when all they see is debris from past content they’ll never get to experience or understand.

We’ll implemented proper anyway we have the Flying,Carpet, Drill, and Magic Broom all of which are Cash Shop items and they’d make a killing if they added a Cash Shop Horse for instance in the same guise as the others. Mounts are mainly a cosmetic choice for instance WoW has hundreds of Mounts but the speed is still the same speed regardless. They can even make them unusable in towns for all I care.

Basic point they already have mini mounts in the cash shop and if they implement real mounts they’d just be primarily cash shop items. So that’s a guaranteed revenue stream even more so from loot crazed collectors.

Will HoT fix damask?

How about dropping the Silk Requirement in half…

Spool of Thick Elonian Cord only takes 50 Thick Cured Leather Squares
Lump of Mithrillium takes only 50 Mithril Ignots
Glob of Elder Spirit Residue takes only 50 Elder Wook Planks
and…
Spool of Silk Weaving Thread takes 100 Silk Bolts

It should be brought down to 50 like all the other daily CD ascended mats and the price of Damask and silk for that matter will plummet. Bad enough cloth is the only mat not easily farmed but they make you use double the amount when compared to all the others.

If your tired of this game and you don’t like the other games on the market why do you come back to this game?

People have some serious addictions there is a third optioned called stop playing an MMO and face the cruel harsh reality of the real world. This game isn’t the best MMO by no means though the community is better than most and that community seems to blind people.

Can we get to be dwarves in the future?

Dwarves can be easily done and it would be workable on all levels in fact if they do start adding playable races I’m almost sure Dwarves will get the pick eventually.

Quite easy really as I doubt anyone here actually believes Primordious will be the final Dragon to get the axe. The Dwarves became stone to stop the Destroyers whom are minions of the Dragon. So when his turn comes up and we fight this Dragon and defeat the Destroyers the Dwarves obligation will have been fulfilled and they’ll more than likely loose the power of the Great Dwarf and either revert back to flesh and blood or completely die out. I’m going with they’ll return to flesh and blood and with a design similar to that of Norn and Human why wouldn’t they become playable or a major NPC race in the game.

Though I still want Tengu but with Char being the least played they’ll probably go with something that’s pretty and more humanlike.

Tired of the wait/Hype seriously going down

Three years is a long time for any MMO to go without an expac and it has indeed taken it’s toll on GW2.

The problem with Hype is that they announced it then built up hype yet never gave any indication of a proper release date. Some people came back to this game on that wave of hype and they’ll leave just as easily. We’ve seen footage and gameplay but at this point it seem that Anet is more focused on taking the game on the road to these shows and expos than an actual release. They’ll take HoT around the gamut to E3 and beyond before they actually release the thing.

So yes hype will go down and TC is correct as they announced it early for the shows and that they’ll release it later for the same media coverage. By that point GW2 won’t be the only MMO totting a major expansion and the other companies will have plenty of time to time their own content and launches to steal any thunder available. This is a market and the longer they take parading the game the more time the competition has to prepare a counter.

RioT!

Hmm how to riot?
Oh yeah log out and play something else until I get word of them actually implementing SAB. Even added in the Mini’s and not to mention airplanes with a 1940’s screen the WW2 esque feel around the time a plane crash involving germanwings is plastered all over the news…

Something wrong with this entire picture…

[Suggestion] Perm gathering tool sets?

We have Molten, Dream, Tron, Tireless, and this new Mad set as permanent tools there are others I’m sure. However I bought the Frost Wasp Logging tool because I preferred it the problem is there is no Mining or Harvesting version for this set. It doesn’t have to be Wasp it could be a mining Beetle and a harvesting Mantis or any other combination of bug or insect. There are other tools that could use counterparts as well even if they are just for aesthetic reasons.

SAB better hit before HoT or I’m just gonna take a break until HoT hits also SAB should be permanent due to the cash shop coins people bought and I do feel sorry for all those people who bought coins in support of SAB then got stabbed in the back.

Changing "We don't rez the dead" mentality.

In the time it takes to rez one dead person how many downed people could you have saved in that amount of time?

The dead person who doesn’t WP is a burden and a completely selfish individual. So don’t rez the dead rez the downed people as for instance with Teq in the time you took to rez that one dead person you probably created three or so more dead people by not reviving those who were downed. So your really creating more dead people by trying to rez the dead and the amounts will just increase in time as well.

All I gotta say is that Mesmer shield better have some OP skills and I’m not just saying that because my main is a mesmer.

All the other classes get two handed weapons and 5 shiny new skills while the elementalists gets a mainhand and three shiny new skills. While we mesmers have to settle with an offhand that will only give us two skills so something needs to compensate.

Mesmers the eternal step child of gw2…

9/10 I like the back story and your gear choices Leyliana and Liana fusion is nice wondering if their was any back story for your original Sylvari Liana

My Sylvari is called Alara Uniden
Based on the mytholigical plant creature the Alraune
Alraune / Alra Une / Alara Une / Alara Uniden

Maxed charmed and Uniden for a more realistic last name like the horror movies based on the Alraune and the media characters based on the thing like Alura Une’s in Castlevania or Poison Ivy in Batman and Alraune’s in other media Alara fits the stereotype.

Have to agree barely any difference mechanic wise between these things and actual mounts. I suppose the only reason their not is to save time in designing the actual mount. Though the number one reason for mounts is Vanity and these kites do offer a speed boost and they are something people can grind for that isn’t a weapon or a peice of armor. Rather sick of everything boiling down to gear so I’m going to farm keys and try to farm all three of these kites for that sole reason.

The point of illusions as decoys

in Mesmer

Doam.8305

Depends on the clone and your attacks as after I spam a clone I give it a second to build aggro. On top of that I generally spam sword clones there the only ones that constantly chase the target and the best to act as a decoy lastly the skill decoy works rather well in dropping your own aggro if you already have illusions on the target. Only time I care about decoys in pve is for either champions are large mobs even then its not required.
