nah. i just think calling it natural is kinda a misnomer, but hey popular vote decides reality.
ive seen some folks with what i would consider to be natural, and it looks oily, mangy, and outright disgusting. but….
if you are referring to the google results of “natural hair”…natural away
When I say Natural Hair style I mean naturally grown hair style that is not affected by neither cutting the edges, grooming, combing, trimming the edges, hair gelling, and etc that requires actually attempting to directly affect the hair style a person would have if they did not tamper with it.
Natural Hair styles cover both short, medium, and long so they can cover 3 different lengths

I think it is more of the matter of what role Trahearne was put into. He had a character that served more as a advisor with the Pact Leader Role could have gone to a more motivated personality leader and they could not put the Player character as the leader of the Pact because it would cause a Lore Issue where the Player Character is ignoring his or her duty as Pact Leader just to go off adventuring during the time gaps between each storyline.
Though MMO like Star Wars the Old Republic address the Player as Leader of the a Large Organization quite well being that the Alliance is being run by multiple leaders and advisors in specific areas so the Player character can go off on their own tasks leaving them only needed to perform major choices on who to side with and which important people to recuit.

Wait, is this an issue with female characters? Male humans have lots of those hairstyles. I can think of like 4 off the top of my head.
Yeah, it is. Female humans only have straight or wavy hair. Lots of different styles but all for the same type of hair. You can see all the default options here: https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/File:Human_female_hair_styles.jpg
Wow, you’re right. I even looked over the style kit options, and human females literally do not have one single hairstyle like this, while males have half a dozen.
Ya it is a bit of a issue I have with the Female Human hair styles being they focus a lot on clean cut hair styles and lack natuarally grown hair styles that have not been cut and groomed.
Just to add, I’ve also noticed that there are a lot of traits with a circuitry drawn. So we get light theme combined with the circuit theme?
Death Shroud like mechanics was something I suggested some time ago for the golemancer elite spec – getting a golem suit with separate abilities that would provide additional protection and functionality. I wonder what “charging” mechanic for it would Anet use. Whether it would need just kills like Death Shroud does or something else.
The Light is still generated by a machine so most likely it involves modifying the circuits of the thing that generates the light in specific ways such as increase intensity and adjustment to focus.
No anime hairstyles
More practical hair and manes for Charr!!! NO MORE GOOFYNESS
Black and natural hairstyles- seriously they are overdue
More celtic braids/hairdo’s for norn.
Long hairstyles for all the other races.
I didn’t like the fact they switched the human and norn.More Facial hair options for men. Scars, tattoos!
Honestly Lu Lingqi’s Hair style is probably one of the most normal hair styles to add into GW2.
it is a simple messy short hair style commonly used as a counterpart for the straight clean short hair styles which GW2 has.

I’m a Engineer main. What can I say…
(edited by EdwinLi.1284)
The first wave of elite specs should not be used as an example, imo. It was their chance to fix some holes in the professions and they tried to do too many things at once.
With 2 specs to work with, they can go back and rework aspects of the first specs. Scrapper was supposed to be a tanky spec, not power dps. They can push that identity further, and make holosmith the dps option.
Well as I said before Holosmith looks more like the DPS focus Elite Spec for Engineer where Scrapper is made for Tanking as we see traits for scrapper focus on stability, increase defense, and Toughness
Two of the skills look like traps being a Cage trap to lock a person inside for a Arena and there is a saw blade skill that could be a sawblade trap. However, looking closely at it more it could be a Range attack Utility being the Holosmith launch a holographic sawblade at a enemy at range with this Utility skill.
there is also the 2nd utility skill obtained which has a Shield around a person which is most likely the defensive HoloBarrier skill for protection when fighting. The Elite Skill looks like a laser beam attack from the art design.
As for Utility it looks like a mix of offensive and defensive utility to survive engagements but what they do we just have to wait until official reveal.
Bring this back up because there is some talk about current state of Commander’s group… Now then…
I disagree. The Pale Tree is a important on various levels, and a lot of people are going to have complicated feelings about her now, what with her keeping the big secret and all. Learning that Tyria’s newest sentient species, who were one of the driving forces behind the Pact and the first ever death of an Elder Dragon, were meant to be dragon minions themselves is also not something that I imagine people would just shrug off and ignore. It’s both personal for the PC and political, and both aspects deserve to be addressed, as more than a throwaway comment here and there.
Storylines need a (timely) conclusion and epilogue, even if parts of them are meant to be picked up again later.
This can be double edged as if something gets dragged on too long it lose the impact it original had starting out.
The Elder Dragon storyline, for example, has felt a bit slow and made the dragons feel like they’re just waiting to be killed off one by one.
Alchemy is a must have if you wish to suvive against heavy condition attacks. It the meat of Engineer’s condition clense
How much you wanna bet this will happen again?
Can’t say because Anet was not fully ready for HoT release due to suddenly introducing HoT as the 1st expansion.
Don’t forget originally GW2 was never planned to have a expansion in the beginning thus they did not prepare in advance for the time required for what they wanted fully finishing in the 1st Expansion.
it showed considering some maps we saw in the HoT first trailer were not in the HoT expansion and certain maps had to be reduced in size to meet the release date time such as the 4th Dragon Stand path in the Dragon Stand meta involving the Nightmare Court joining the fight against the Mouth of Mordremoth which leads into Duchess Chysanthea being in the final battle against Mouth of Mordremoth.
(edited by EdwinLi.1284)
Well if the rumors are true we may not be paying $50 this time for 2nd expansion.
I heard the price is going to range around $30 dollars this time but that is just the rumor I heard.
scrapper has a pretty strong electricity undertone and i would be disappointed if holosmith does as well
Scrapper was not originally going to be what it is now.
Original design of Scrapper was going to be Fire Theme with fire theme attacks and a unique Heat Mechanic that builds up heat in a Heat bar that cause the Scrapper to do more damage as the heat builds up. The theme was to follow how Scrapper use a Hammer and Heat to build things.
However, Anet could not finish Scrapper’s original design on time before HoT release, most likely because it was their last Elite Spec to work on once the other Professions were finished beofre HoT, and had to “Scrap” it and make Scrapper into what it is now.
Scrapper as of now is more like a Core profession +1 Elite Spec that brings no real unique mechanics and only add the F button for just long range res and finisher due to being unfinished.
As for the Holosmith, as I said the theme of it seems more about Energy theme focusing more on Light based theme skills through amplifying light for laser attacks and creating holographic projections to create physical objects through the use of light. Electricty is of course required as the mechanical parts of Engineer’s ability to manipulate Light through the Holographic images it creates is still required.
So for now we can consider Scrapper for Eltectricity theme and Holosmith for Light theme.
(edited by EdwinLi.1284)
didnt the leak say that engi gonna be support class with water fields and light fields?
Really?, we dont have a lot of those fields already?
We don’t have any confirmation what the elite spec will do yet.
From the image shown of the skills in the tree so far we see a sawblade type skill, shield, a strange eletric Orb, a Energy Cage, and the Elite skill looks something shooting a Laser beam. The Traits has a lot of electricity imaging into the traits arts as well. We can see one Support trai being the HP Cross and other traits arts shows amplification arts such as the Square one showing a beam of light going through and out of it and the magnifying glass trait that is focusing a beam of light.
I can only guess this elite spec may be more focus on a trinity path aspect with the traits covering Support, Defense, and Damage.
Though we can assume this Elite Spec theme is based on Energy theme considering how strongly the art emphasis on light beams and electricity.
(edited by EdwinLi.1284)
Well GW2 world design and theme falls mostly into what is now because what Era the civilization in GW2 is in.
GW1 was the past where advancement of technology was not so relevent and needed but now in GW2 the world is at a crossroad where Civilization is advancing in technology so rapidly that the old world style of culture and fighting are slowly being replaced with new and more advance technology.
Most Fantasy world either set their timeframe in either the Old world or the Future world of their setting but GW2 is set between the Old and Future world setting thus it being at the crossroad of technology advancement between old magic and new technology.
it is actually a nice setting unique to GW2’s fantasy world because as the story progress we are seeing how a world that once depended on magic only for their culture is now developing into a culture that depend more on advance technolgy.

Cosmetics is, for me, in a sad state, as they’ve released next to nothing in the past 2 years that made me go “I want that!”
Honetly I am more disappointed how thick 95% medium armor designs have become in GW2.
Anet has shown it is possible to make Medium armor design that is not so EXTRA THICK on the body armor piece but for some reason they keep chugging up EXTRA THICK Medium armor designs.
I am not Aku so I don’t want all new Medium Armor design make Medium Armor characters look EXTRA THICK.
(edited by EdwinLi.1284)
Nothing in the leak relates the holosmith with fire. Well, not exactly true: one of the traits has an image of a lense focusing light like children used to do to burn ants. But at the same time, there’s one cross that ressembles too much a healing cross. Anything else is related to light and energy.
I’ve looked at the image again today and the character is wielding a one-handed hammer made from light in it’s right hand. So maybe thats the reason he’s taking his sword with the left hand?
We are not saying Holosmith is the Fire Elite Spec. We are saying they should make the next one after this one being the 3rd elite spec to be the Mace Elite Spec that uses Scrapper original design being the Heat Mechanic design and fire theme Elite Spec.
Holosmith, 2nd elite spec, so far looks like a Laser and Holographic projection Elite Spec being the Energy Theme Elite Spec using the Sword for Energy base attacks and holoprojections to amplify their laser attacks and to create shields and traps.
You should notice that they did not show the right hand in the art when all leak images showed both hands for the other professions.
We most likely are not seeing the full art and there maybe a sword on the right hand as well.
I think what the engineer needs most is a mace, with skins for wrenches and stun batons.
lets just make scrapper again, this time with a 1 hand and no ai
Honestly I think they need to use Mace as the Elite Spec that was originally going to be Scrapper.
Scrapper was going to be a Fire theme Elite Spec that had a Heat Mechanic for the hammer that would build up to cause more damage but they scrapped it for current scrapper because they ran out of time for HoT release.
Hopefully this use the Utility skills to be fire theme as well. Maybe call it the Forge to represent how the Elite Spec theme is the Fire of a Forge.

Interesting. I would not have pinged Joko as the mysterious benefactor.
This raises a couple questions (how he knew of Zinn and the asura, how he got that powerstone used in R.O.X. and what, exactly, it was) and adds in a very important new point about Joko: This is the first time players are told that Joko had any interest outside of Elona.
Well it goes back to more GW1 lore again….
After EotN Asura race started to create multiple small settlements out side Rata Novus basically being the early outside labs we see now Asura create when they wanted to separate themselves from Rata Novus. This attracted the attention of a lot of people from all the countries due to how advance Asuran technology was such as Nicholas the Traveler.
Nicholas the Traveler revealed that Zinn created NOX, ROX, POX, and MOX as the first generation of Golems that would use Ruby Djinn Essences to power them which is what gave MOX his Dervish abilities as a Hero in GW1. Of course where Zinn got his supply of Ruby Djinn Essences was unknown but now we got our answer being Joko supplying him with it from Elona.
Nicholas the Traveler also revealed that the Gwen Doll he sold was powered from inside one of these Ruby Djinn Essence Golems.
(edited by EdwinLi.1284)
- Mainhand sword, power – would need to have 3 really OP/powercreeped skills to compete with hammer for melee power damage because hammer 4,5 > shield 4,5.
- Mainhand sword, condi – still allows offhand pistol. would probably be overall top damage because melee tends to be more dps than range.
- Offhand sword, power – awkward hybrid build with mh pistol.
- Offhand sword, condi – competes with oh pistol. As mentioned, it’d have to have insane damage or utility to be chosen over p.
My guess would be main hand power, but that it will still be worse than hammer.
Sword main hand may be Range as one possibility because we are using Holographic images to cause physical harm which would allow Sword to create holographic slash waves for range attacks or use sword as a type of laser beam conduit using Holographic plates to charge the sword to create these things.
Honestly I am a bit ticked that there is no Race specific dialogues involving certain race specific events nor past choices in Zhaitan Arc. However, I guess this is mostly due to how players can skip the Zhaitan Arc and just jump into Season 2 to Season 3 storyline thus the story may have issues if they did go through Zhaitan Arc and complete certain storyline points to reference their actions.
It is a reference to the event back in GW1 being MOX’s Companion Questline where a “Mysterious benefactor” tricked Zinn into creating three Golems named NOX, ROX, and POX to kill royality of each Human Country. The GW1 Hero stopped them with MOX but Zinn was then outcasted for almost causing mass Genecide on the Human Kingdoms.
It is now revealed that the Mysterious Benefactor is Joko and most likely we would have learned this years ago if GW Beyond was not cancelled.
Will we ever going to see Gear Progression?
in Guild Wars 2: Heart of Thorns
Posted by: EdwinLi.1284
You picked the wrong game if you are looking for a MMO that has gear grinding.
There are already a lot of other MMOs that follow this single formula but GW2 main kick was that it advertise itself as a MMO that does not follow this formula of Gear grinding.
This game main focus is not about getting the best gear in the game but about the world of the game itself which is why it does not increase level cap like other games and why it do not keep dropping higher tier gears to the point player would be able to solo old contents.
GW2 is still considered by a lot of people as the top 3 best MMO today because it follows this unique formula focusing more on the World of the MMO instead of Gear Grinding while every single other MMO follow the Gear Grind Formula where they focus more on adding high level and tier things for players to just grinding until they got it and then grind some more for something better to replace their old stuff for a slightly higher stat instead of focusing on the world of the MMO itself.
FF14, for example, is considered one of the best MMO today but in the endgame all it has is Gear Grinding. Once people got the Gear they want they just drop the game and wait for some new gear later to grinding some more. All it ha sin the end is gear grinding and nothing else. Raids, Trials, Hard content, and etc all are just one big Gear Grinding fest until you got everything you need and just never return to those places unless they introduce something that require to return, and you guess it, grind that place for a certain gear or gear material that you will replace once again in 6 months.
(edited by EdwinLi.1284)
That what i’m afraid of it, if it will be off-hand, it will have some power-creep support abilities that we didnt had before, otherwise, as i said in reddit, its doomed against the damage supremacy of pistol-offhand, no sinergy with pistol if it deals power damage, and it would have to be a big power creep if it tries to compete in condi damage.
You’re assuming the only option is a off-hand weapon that is far more overpowered than Pistol.
Ever considered they may make it more equal of power in condition damage to rival the pistol.
Or maybe
We are getting both Off-hand and Main Hand Sword weapons but we only see one hand because of the art design position and the full art design released later in the main website reveal shows both hands having swords.

He only returned to the Mist.
Balthy will be back in 2nd expansion and more powerful than ever.
His quest to gain back everything he lost is not over and if following GW1 events of Fissue of Woe we may finally learn the end result of the war between Balthazar and Menzies but best guess is Balthazar lost and Menzies took everything from him from his powers, his Eternal army, and his realm.
We haven’t heard from Zojja since the HoT expansion.
We may not be seeing Zojja join DW since she is currently in Vegetable state as revealed in Episode 2 saying her brain is “Scrambled” and she done nothing but “Drooling” in her bed while recovering.
In this state it is most likely she is gone for good and we most likely will only see her once in a while in a wheelchair as a brain damaged cripple.
(edited by EdwinLi.1284)
Idon’t think we can rule out planning Joko to be the mystery client all along. There was a lot of chatter, before GW Beyond was canceled, that the next chapter would be centered on him and Elona.
it would be interesting if there are references to GW Beyond once we go to Elona involving NPCs mentioning people from GW1 time tried to send a Message to the GW1 Hero but the messenger could not make it and was killed by Joko’s forces in a attempting to escape Elona to deliver the message that would have sent the GW1 hero into GW Beyond thus providing a lore reason why GW Beyond was cancelled.
Balthazar may have also recruited souls/ghosts from the Soul River of Spirit Vale to become Eternals.
Well he lost all his old powers so I am guessing something is blocking his path or he thinks about going back there later once Tyria is destroyed because by then there will be far more souls to recuit at a plant scale.
If he needs a new Eternal Army strong enough to beat the Shadow Army without expose his actions to Menzies then he may be looking at a more mass recruit before risking exposing his actions to Menzies so that Menzies does not send someone to eliminate Balthazar in his weakened state.
(edited by EdwinLi.1284)
Something just come up about Balthazar’s reason for wanting to gain the power of all Elder Dragon’s magic and why he would want to destroy Tyria killing a entire planet of balthazar followers but it goes back heavily into GW1 lore so I put it in the Lore section…
https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/game/lore/SPOILER-The-Fissure-of-Woe/first#post6575900
I’ve heard nothing but good things about people’s experiences in the fissure of woe, so I’d love it if we got a chance to go there in GW2
Ya it was GW1 version of raids back in the day. Hard, required coordination, and team work with rewarding one of the most expensive and best armor in the game.
Still back on topic:
We know the Eternal Army consist of all dead followers of Balthazar. If balthazar has lost his old Eternal Army due to losing the war against Menzies then that would also explain his lack of care for destroying all life in Tyria because once he gains all the Elder Dragon’s magic he will now have to power to rival Menzies again and with the death of a entire planet of Balthazar followers he will instantly have a new Eternal Army to fight the Shadow Army.
This all goes back to the question “What will you sacrifice if you lost everything?” and for Balthazar it is the destruction of Tyria to gain back everything he lost back from his power, his realm, and his Eternal Army.
(edited by EdwinLi.1284)
Spoiler below this line! Pass this line and you enter the SPOILER zone!
So with the current Episode revealing Balthazar there is something that just popped into my head when Balthazar mentioned he is seeking to gain back the power he had lost by draining the Magic from Elder Dragons.
That is the end result of Fissure of Woe and his battle against his half brother Menzies.
What if Balthazar is doing all this so he can gain enough power to defeat his half-brother Menzies because he lost the war against him and was stripped of his former power.
Balthazar use to have a Eternal Army but now he is not using it but maybe he lost all of his Eternal Army because he lost to Menzies.
We never saw the end result of the war between Balthazar and Menzies but now we may finally learn the end result in the 2nd expansion.
So what do you all think?
Spoiler below……
Pass this line is the SPOILER Zone.
So a few references here and there in Zinn’s log and we learn a few interesting information that relate back to GW1 events.
Seems we learn that Joko was the one who tricked Zinn into creating ROX, NOX, and POX.
Balthazar is not dead as Taimi stated and may return.
He is still alive and will most likely return even more powerful than before in 2nd Expansion and at that point we may get actual explaination and meet the other Six Gods to learn why Balthazar is trying to gain back the power he lost without caring about it destroying the world.
They’re probably going for the “Sylvari” treatment for the Human Race in 2nd Expansion but more on the Human God blessing side of things instead of racism.
(edited by EdwinLi.1284)
It is actually not out of character as Balthazar is well known to be the most Cruel of the six gods with some Humans calling him the “God of Mass Murder”
I need a link or source.
https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Balthazar
Don’t mind the part where when he first appeared in tyria that he was carrying the decapitated head of his own father. :p
And this is the point. Maybe most human hated him. But soldiers and warriors will probably worship him the most. And don’t tell me that he will have no followers. Just listen to some of the human Pact Soldiers on the new map. Some of them say they worship him as their main god. But A-Net will probably forget about the conflict this would create and never mention it in a story Q ever again.
As of right now only the Pact and the Commander knows about balthazar’s return.
heck we never wanted to fight him just stop him from causing any major harm and even tried to reason with him to stop but he refused and said screw the Human Race. Thus force us to stop him from destroying the world he help shape.
We have yet to see the full long term scale of his Return effect on the Human race as a whole yet since word has not reached far yet.
You can’t really expect news as big as this to suddenly reach all of tyria within a day when it only been a single day in Tyria that he just revealed himself to the world.
(edited by EdwinLi.1284)
The six distanced themselves from humanity. They didn’t abandon them. All of the human racial abilities are blessings from the six gods, and they provide every time. Hell, you don’t even need to be human to get their favour. Orrian dragon zombies could invoke the power of the Six and they would answer them every time. There is a desecrated shrine to Balthazar in Old Ascalon that Grawl worship, and Balthazar grants his blessing to them too. Going back as far as Guild Wars 1, there were non-human characters which received the blessing of the gods too. So yes, humans do have a special reason to worship the Six.
Balthazar’s behaviour also doesn’t make any sense. For hundreds of years, he dished out favours and blessings to literally anyone who worshipped him or called for his help, and now he acts like he doesn’t care about Tyrians at all, let alone humans? He’s also a God of War and Valour. This kind of sneaky rubbish is ill fitting for his character. What would have actually happened is he would have marched into Divinity’s Reach, rallied people to his cause and gone to exterminate some charr.
But hey, no one on the writing team has any respect for previously established lore, so Balthazar becoming a saturday morning cartoon villain is only the beginning.
It is actually not out of character as Balthazar is well known to be the most Cruel of the six gods with some Humans calling him the “God of Mass Murder”
The gods cut direct contact with Tyria around the time before the first Elder Dragon awakening. By then they have also cut direct links to contact their Avatars unless very old rituals were used such as in the Zhaitan Arc to summon a Grenth Avatar.
the reaction to Balthazar could have been better but he is actually the most hated of the Six Gods lore wise as some Humans call him the “God of Mass Murder” for being cruel and uncaring for the Human Race and the other Races of Tyria. He always seen the Humans as Tools of War and began motivating them to wage war against other races to claim land for his followers becauase he wanted to claim those lands for himself.
Humans follow him because he is the God that brought the concept of War to the Human race and is the Symbol of what they can gain through Strength and War.
(edited by EdwinLi.1284)
So a bit warning now there may be some spoilers for people who have not reach certain point in the storyline if you cross this line into…..
The Spoiler Zone!
——————————————————————————————————————————-
As the story progress I cannot help but feel the Zhaitan Arc/Season 1/Season 2 characters that have been with the Commander are slowly splitting into a path where they become “once in a while characters” or just no long part of the storyline.
Logan is now leader of the Pact but as we learned the new Pact Leader will no longer be on the frontlines and only commanding from the distance in a Office located in Lion’s Arch.
Eir is now dead.
Zojja is probably crippled for life.
Canach has left to travel on his own to find his own path now he has his freedom and will appear again one day when his path cross with the Commander’s.
Marjory is now critically injured and the injury may become fatal.
Braham is blinded by his anger over his mother’s death and I can’t help but feel he may die sacrificing himself to save the Commander after his failed attempt to kill Jormag even when we told him not to and what will happen if anymore Elder Dragon’s are killed. Thus having Braham’s final moments a brief but heroic one where he first apologize because he did not listen behind a blockade he created to help slow down Jormag’s minions from reaching the commander and the survivors of his failed attempt to kill jormag then turns to face Jormag’s minions dying to fight off jormag’s minions so the survivors could escape with the Commander as his atonement for his own actions while also instead of dying as a child with anger issues die as a True Norn in battle fighting a greater enemy. Ya people got their wish he dies but he dies as a True Norn and not as a person blinded by anger he is now.
Lady Kasmeer, Taimi, and Rytlock are most likely staying considering their events with Kasmeer having little involvement that could not support any foreshadowing to anything bad, Taimi is just Taimi, and Rytlock is just getting “things” done at the Black Citadel then plans to return right after.
As for Caithe…. well we never really know what goes on in her head.
Honestly I hope this Elite Spec can also use their Holo ability to provide both melee and range combat skills for all Engineer Primary Weapons.
The concept of this leak Elite Spec seems to follow the use of Holos for direct combat focusing more on direct attack abilities and as we learn in GW2 Holos can be used to turn even a melee weapon into a Range weapon and a Range weapon into a melee weapon if the right Holo projection is created.
As for how this Elite Spec may function from the skill images we see in the leak it may be using Traps created from Holoprojections and create Holographic Shields for range and melee protection. One of the skills looks like a Arena trap where it traps enemies in a protective wall preventing any other enemy from getting in or out.
It looks like a get close range and trap the enemies with the Engineer type Elite Spec for a more “I’m not trapped with you! You’re trapped with me!” feeling combat style.
(edited by EdwinLi.1284)
Mr. E still unidentifiable?
I remmember he was supposed to be revealed at end of Season2? ;- o
Well we always got the end of Season 3 in 2 to 3 months from now.
The Human Gods left the Human race to their own actions long ago and have not interacted with the Human race for years now.
The only reason they stayed was mostly to keep a eye on Abaddon and with him gone they just slowly saw no point influencing the Humans and believed it was time to leave them to their own self development as the Human race could not grow if they “baby” them for eternity.
To them Humans are just minor details to a grand design they created when they brought them to Tyria centuries ago from another world. Tyria already existed before the Human and the Six entered the Land and they only saw Humans as lesser beings that worshipped them.
He acts just like a God by his views of seeing a race that he help uplift from a dying world the Human race originally was from into a new world of Tyria as a less race that he only used.
Heck no one really knows what are the Six Gods anyways nor where they are from. Human race only pictured them as Gods for being all powerful magical beings and for bring them to Tyria but the Human Gods never created Tyria nor the Human race. They only found the Humans and guided them to Tyria from their already dying world.
Though most likely Balthazar is doing this on his own as it is stated he is well known to be the most violent of the Six and was hated by some Humans for being the “God of Mass Murder” and showed little care for the Human race in the beginning. He only pushed them to war to Claim the lands of Tyria because he thought the other races would be easily defeated and their lands claimed for his followers.
Only ones that showed actual care for Humans was Dwyna, Melandru, Grenth, and Kormir.
A interesting side note about Melandru is that the Charr believe she created Tyria but the humans believe she arrived in Tyria. She is probably the most conflicted origin story between the Charr and Human view of her but one thing is certain being she wanted all races to live in peace in Tyria.
(edited by EdwinLi.1284)
My take on the vine was that was the Druid, not Melandru. You follow the Druid’s voice to find him and when you do that’s when the Druid basically tells you to now GTFO or else.
It was certainly the druid’s work and we learn why they are so hostile in Zinn’s Voice logs hidden throughout the map.
Melandru is certainly not helping Balthazar because the Druid wanted Balthazar out of her sacred garden as well but could not because he was still too power for them.
As of now I cannot say where Balthazar stands as a role because his actions is self preserving being to gain back the power he lost after the Gods left Tyria. How he lost it and why he want it back still is a mystery for now.
There is the possibility that 2nd expansion will have its own separate mastery system so if you miss out on HoT you will miss out on HoT Mastery to be used for 2nd Expansion zones which may make traveling a bit more difficult but should be easy as long oyu unlock 2nd expansion mastery.
Still the loss of Gliding will affect your ability to explore to be lower than players who have HoT.
Nah, you don’t give him credit enough. You will see, we get a deus ex MOXima in the near future, where it is revealed that he was put in hibernation to develope THE solution against the eldar dragon threat.
It just turns out cats seem to be a part of it.
it would be funny if MOX appears in Episode 6 story instance having followed us and Taimi ask if “we” can keep MOX.
MOX also probably still has some interesting data stored in his memory considering Zinn made MOX his “successor” to all his stuff and information.
(edited by EdwinLi.1284)
From what we see in the Images I do not think it is a AI type Elite Spec.
From what it looks like we are using Holo to create what I like to call Holo-plates which are holographic plates that we see already in the game often use as platforms.
We may be using these Holo-plates to create lasers by using the hol-plates to amplify the laser intensity and to create shields around ourselves for protection. Along with fields to trap enemies for a Arena fight.
SPOILER Zone below. Pass this line is another place. A Place of Spoilers…
You are about to enter the SPOILER zone…
So MOX has returned and seems to be coming with us.
How do you think his story from here may go?
It is a full steam a head with lore involving MOX and he may even mention GW1 hero once in a while.
It would be interesting if MOX became a member of Dragon’s Watch since we are still recuiting and the old companions are all now splitting up for their own reasons.
Well I treat Season 3 more as a Prologue Storyline for the expansion that focus more on setting things up for the expansion. We most likely won’t get the full story until 2nd Expansion.
If it a sword elite spec I can see Bolt being used a lot more now.
Bolt always had the Engineer sword look to it.
