I hope you don’t get dissapointed. The Story of Arah is probably the worst boss fight of all the times. So boring that I almost quit the game after that. Thank’s god the tower of nightmares happened that same month and it hooked me until now.
For those that can’t have a good christmas. Those that won’t be happy. Those like me that are sad tonight, or can’t just smile like everyone else. I want to tell you that it’s ok to be sad. The life is going to give you these moments, and sometimes it may look that it’s too much, but it’s never too much. I want you to be strong, take a deep breathe, and hold on for whatever stupid reason that you can find. The reason doesn’t matter at all. The life eventually gets better, you just need to be there when it happens.
You are not alone.
i dislike the way they try to force us to try PvP or WvsW. Please re-consider to add more dailies for us to choose.
As a sidenote: I’ve been thinking for months now that GW2 would be better without PvP, but they are focusing lot of people into that and even doing tournaments. The big problem is the way they can’t add major skills changes for PvE that would be nice just because it would unbalance PvP. It’s a big facepalm…
Please Anet, if we dont like it, don’t force us to play that.

Sorry to break your bubble, but you had got it wrong all the time. The red nightmare in spanish would be “La pesadilla roja”. The nightmares are considered females in our country, for any reason that i don’t even know O,o.
Reading “El pesadilla roja” is as bad as “They lion guard”. Please fix it ^^

Kinda unrelated maybe but the other night I did Arah p4 at simin somebody casted an ember by accident (you know the one used during teq/3h wurm) and 3 sparks aggro’d onto it lol. The fight totally got bugged and somehow simin respawned at 50% and never healed up after that :/
Now that you say that, there was a mesmer clone nearby (fighting simin) involved when i had the aggro on 3 lights.
i did got the bladders on red and indigo at the first 5 tries. Right now for amber i got 6 CONSECUTIVE fangs… it’s really discouraging.
Godzilla precursor is epic hahaha, my favourite so far.
I got a ranger friend that name his pets after some guildies. His bear is named “Aens the pooh” because my main character is named Aens. He also got a drake often called “Toothless” from How to train your dragon.

As a proffesional writer myself (at least in Spain), I don’t like how you’re doing so far (i mean Anet with the LW story-telling, not you, Peter).
The story is messed up with so many secondary stories that it’s ok for a while, but paccing them after so many weeks it makes the player to forget the earlier stories. Think about it, do you think now people remember everything that scarlet said? I can guarantee that only a small percentage of the players will do, yet we don’t have the answers that we needed related to season 1 and you already started 2-3 different new stories with more questions and little answers. By the time that you deliver the answers that we needed in season 1 it will be already pointless, unnecessary or too late, because we already lost interest on it.
As example: It’s the same as when you look for the name of a song that you like a lot, then you stop liking it 3 months later and then someone tell you the name of the song 1 week later. Ok nice, you know the name… but you don’t like it anymore.
In my opinnion, a good story must be leaded by a main thread and the other sub-stories should be started and closed before the player lose track of the main thread. Which is not happening in GW2 and that’s why the community feel so lost.
Edit: I did like season 1 more, the marionette, lion’s arch battle and the tower of nightmare because of it’s mechanics, not the story related. Funny uh?

I probably lost track of other little side-stories that were introduced but never closed. Marjory, braham, taimi, rox, caithe, canach, ellen kiel and so many. many characters should make clear what they are doing. Otherwise, unveiling only a small part of each of them will eventually leads to a confussion of “who did what?” or “when did that happen?” because nobody will remember it.

I didn’t think in those scenarios… and I guess you are right. This suggestion was entirely focused on PvE. I will never really like the PvP of GW2 no matter how they make it and i guess i can dream with changes that would be awesome in PvE… until i notice that it would cause issues to PvP.
I’m wondering if Anet could make different rules for skills in PvP and PvE.
If any combo fire field could cure chilled (slow movement due to freezing), it would just makes sense and would also be a nice way to slightly improve combat.
I’ve just done Arah p4 with some guildies. I was doing the lights at Simin and due to the fact that I missed to place some, i ended up with 3 at the same time. Those 3 were following me and didn’t reset.
I didn’t test it more, but i believe it “might” be fixed.

Now that it’s almost full, i can give some feedback about SilverWastes, and there’s a problem. There’s so much things to do that people have issues to complete the meta events.
The issue
It happened twice already that even with the maps capped at maximum population, the events couldn’t be done because of people not doing them. Why? Because they are doing something else.
So… what?
Well, the map is great, the mechanics are great, the events are nice and I love everything about Silverwastes! But it’s all on the same place. As long as you need most of the map population to complete the meta-events, i’d suggest to Anet to not add a system that can break down the players interest with another system on the same map. They are nice, but they deserved a map for themselves or another kind of fix.
The labyrinth was great because you can’t do defense of castles while the labyrinth is up, and you can’t do the labyrinth while defense is up. Those 2 don’t break down the other system because they don’t happen at same time.
TL;DR
Please don’t add systems that can break down another system or divide the population’s focus on the same map.
As much as I like this program, i’m horrofied about the fact that most of the known players that would apply to it are in my opinnion toxic players that will encourage berserker gear to do things “fast and efficiently” instead of encourage players to find it themselves.

If you want lots of jumping puzzles, go play a jumping game- there are thousands of them already out there.
I was hoping for a continuation of the first part…
So you want twice the fun for your desired content, but none for the lovers of other kind of content? That’s a bit selfish. The way i see it, you already had what you like in the first part. Second part is for players that enjoy a different thing than just killing stuff.
That said, the loot is a tonic to become the legendary thief skritt! I love it XD

I just finished it after 2 hours. Without guides, without friends, without help. The hard way! and I never had more fun in a game for a loong time. I love silverwastes caves

This very same problem was showing up in the spanish forums a few days ago. We figured out that it was a leveling issue and the players with problems could complete the story after they were 30 without issues.
Maybe just editting the mail text could be an easier fix, Jeffrey, something like “This step will be unlocked after levels 30”

Season 2 indeed has good points. I just hope they stop doing so many focused solo-player instances. If the mordremoth fight it’s inside one of those, it’ll be as dissapointing as Zhaitan’s fight and will discourage most of the playerbase to keep playing. It must be something as big and huge as marionette or lion’s arch holograms fight, or even permanent like Tequatl.

I had a similar experiencie as Orion Templar. I joined a new overflow and checked the map, was at 99% before the breach. I was near amber tower and I though i would go to help, but when I did get there I found the npc dead, no players around and the timer on 70 seconds. I just used my elite signet to get there quickly (as warrior) so I had 60seconds cooldown before i could equip the Elite banner to rez the NPC. I would do that just because it was challenging, all the doors and walls had enemies and making my way through them was a good idea
So… at 15 seconds before the timer runs out I was already running towards the fortress, dodged first enemy attacks, a teragryph, skill cooldown is off so I equip banner before I get into combat, find the npc, throw an immobilize to the teragriff aiming at me and throw the Rez banner…… The NPC got rezzed in the very last second and I check the right side timer… 2 seconds. Yeah the freaking npc died at 2 seconds to complete the breach and everybody left that castle because they wiped. But no worries ladies and gentlemens, here there was a ramdom player that was new in the map to save the day lol. You can’t imagine how epic I felt after defending that castle.
After that, I tried to solo the Troll champion… it was a bad idea xD

The real laberynth in gw2 is the guild mission proxemic lab
We should be able to join the laberynth from activities, have lot of achievements inside same as sprint sanctum (as example). That way we wouldn’t burn it out so quickly and will be able to be done in 4-5 months from now. Otherwise when nobody defend the fortresses anymore, most of the players will miss out the laberynth because it will rarely appear.
For future updates with similar mechanics, consider this suggestion.
It’s going to get difficult if we have disparate issues posted in the same thread. I wonder, first: Have you reported in the game? In case that’s not a clear process, here’s a handy image. (Go to the upper left first (notice my discrete red arrow ) and then type out the report on the pop-up.)
I always find it easier typing /bug in the chat than trying to remember in which menu it’s. (Alternative suggestion :P)
i guess my friends were right, this game is fun untill 80, then it just flattens out so hard.
That’s a funny statement, everyone that i know and plays gw2 thinks the opposite, the game is terrible boring until you are lvl 80.
We don’t play to get gear (that would feel like a job :\), we play because IT’S FUN. Of course some player’s goal is to get X reward, either legendary items or such, but most of us just play because we like to play it. We like to smash enemies in WvsW, or we like to kill dragons like Tequatl in an organized teamspeak with 50 more friends, or we like to go to the new maps and defend the castles against mordrems like if was an Age of Empires game for 1 hour.
I hope you understand my point. Most MMOs makes you “work” to get your desired items, GW2 instead let’s you get them easier so you can enjoy playing. This game offers a lot of activities, I made a post in the spanish forum a few days ago listing all what you can do at level 80… the list is really long. If you think that you have nothing to do just because you have your gear, then please go back to WoW or other MMOs that force you to “have this equipment or gtfo”. This is GW2, this is different!

Personally not really feeling that it’s important for SW, but it seems like a nice way to go about actually rebuilding LA and not just waiting around to see if it changes.
It’s mostly useless in SW, because each time you waste your bandit crests for it, it’s only for that specific overflow. Most of the time we’re jumping between overflows often enough to not give it the proper use. It also sucks when you pay for something, then you dc’ed and when you come back you are in an overflow where what you payed for is gone…
Yeah, think about it.
1.000.000 gold from players to build just the bank building.
500.000 gold to rebuild the lion statue.
150.000 gold to remove the broken pieces of the breachmaker near the lighthouse.
etc
I would really like it, but this thread seems to not get any attention so i’m not sure if everyone else would like it.
Ok let’s face it, this is a living world, but it’s the Anet developers the ones moving it, why don’t you make the players move the world instead?
This suggestion will use 2 systems already in the game so it’s easy for you to understand.
Ok, why not to combine them? Make the npc ask for (obviously more than just for 1 map) 1 million bandit crests, as example, but make that shares across all servers (or more accurately, for each megaserver) but once reached, the built feature will be built forever on every overflow.

Make a big thing of this. Make us feel like we’re actively working in a living world. This won’t happen if you just add 2-3 things to vote up in the game. You need to add 50-100 different things so players don’t burn out and farm that event in 2-3 days. It’s a lot of work but it’s a way to involve players into living world.

My point is, there is place for 25 stack, why make it so that 1 person can almost use all that place by itself.
Exactly my thoughs. That’s why I suggested something that wouldn’t make most of the players useless (if they go condition builds)
I like the direction the game it’s taking, but it has a major issue. There is a lot of dev resources to the Single Player features of the living story (even if you tell me that 5 players can join those instances, it still sounds as an excuse). I think that it’s isolating more and more the players and they’re slowly turning gw2 into a single player experience.
I’d like to see more Multiplayer content focused instead of just a little piece of the map (This time it’s the labyrynth) for each update. Something replayable that it’s epic or fun it’s what i’m asking for.

Have you ever had that much fun since you were little and played that old pacman?
In the SilverWastes, after the breach, the new maze door opens up and you need to get some items before the enemies 1shot you
This way you can just unlock them doing the maze in the new map, which opens after the breach and it’s FUN (we had lot of fun laughing about the pacmans in the teamspeak)
No need to defeat the bosses, we killed just 4/5.
Seems like the map works this way.
It’s a pacman! to not die inside that, use dodges, invulnerabilities or skills that mitigate all damage, such as Endure Pain from warriors. You can outrun them as well with celerity.

none of you didn’t seem to understand my example, please scroll up and read the numbers again: the duration was NOT increased, the DAMAGE was increased. That way works same as mesmer Greatsword autoattack :P.
The longer you can keep making bleeds, not duration but damage would be increased, to a point where you can do even 50k damage bleeds each second (if you manage to keep a bleed that long while attacking with more bleed skills to upscale the damage).
That way the condition builds would be forced to keep spamming bleeds to the time never goes to 0, and each time they spam a bleed the damage increases (but not time, the time should be always between 3-4 seconds). The only problem that i see is that punishes lagging players.

As I just said in the cons section, for that to work the Anet team should change most (or even all of them) of the skills of our characters.
It has been stated in the past that condition cap shouldn’t be raised because it put a lot of stress in the servers. However, is that happening because of the calculations that it would take to the servers if more than 25 stacks of each condition needs to do? If that’s the case, I suggest to adapt the way conditions stack.
Right now a single player can make 25 bleeds on an enemy just by himself. That shouldn’t be the case. A player should be only able to put 1 bleed on the enemy, but the damage of that own bleed should be adapted to the skills he/she uses for it.
Example:
Previously you would have 2 different stacks of bleeds on the enemy, but now you only use 1 stack and the enemy is still getting damage from your bleeds. The condition builds would be fun again while they try to keep the bleed active. Keeping the bleed open would result in the damage upscaling with each bleed until you can’t keep it up or the boss cure that condition, which would allow players to choose when exactly use a bleed skill or another one.
Pros:
1: The cap could still be at 25 like it’s right now, but that would mean that 25 players can use bleeds on the enemies instead of just 1 player doing 25 stacks.
2: It would also allow to condition builds to be useful since their damage would be incremental for each bleed.
3: No problems at all in dungeons/fractals or places where you need less than 25 players.
Cons:
1: All bleed skills in the game should be adjusted for this. Skills that put 6 stacks should have just longer timing or improved damage or even less cooldown to compensate.
2: Replacing a bleed stack if 26 players put bleeds on enemy or ignore the player number 26th?
That said, it’s not a perfect solution (but it’s a solution for 95% of the game) because a level 10 player (or a non-condition build player) could still bleed the enemy and take 1 of those 25 for his own useless damage. However, it would be only 1 and it’s unlikely that you will find 25 of those in a big fight. The game is evolving slowly and we’re not required to gather 100 players on an enemy anymore. Tequatl can die with less than 50 and the 3 headed wurm split the groups, so it’s highly complicated to get to the 25 bleed caps anymore with the new conditions system that I suggest.
TL;DR. 1 stack per player per condition.
Rangers are great, but people who play ranger suck.
Most of the time you’ll get ranger without spotter or FS, and they will camp LB.
So yeah most of rangers will be kicked for that, the thing is, people don’t know ranger can be good, so they won’t bother checking if the ranger has a sword and the required utilities.“The required utilities” – required? Who requires it? Last I checked, people can play their class any way they like. Don’t try to be an elitist in a casual game, kthx.
A ranger without spotter or FS is the same as a warrior without banner, a guard without a wall, and a mesmer without feedback and TW.
It’s not about being elitist, it’s about being useful to the team.
A ranger can play nomad, same as thief, but they will be useless.

A warrior without banners can trait Phalanx and give everyone 25 might just with 1 skill of his greatsword (either whirlwind or 100blades). It takes 1-2 seconds and can be done at every single pull of enemies ane every 8 seconds, making fire-blasting or other might-stacking skills useless. Other players can just focus on different skills or utilities because they won’t ever need to build up might, the warrior alone would give 25 stacks and maintain it for everyone while the fight lasts.
What is wrong is the fact that some people choose for you what team skills you should use instead of the ones that you think it will be better for the group (as example you just said warriors without banners are useless, even if i just proved how wrong that statement is). In my opinnion Phalanx > Banners 90% of the times. You won’t have maximum warrior DPS but you will make everyone else have a lot more damage than you could ever do alone with different traits.
What is even greater about this build is that phalanx won’t show anywhere. You can’t know if the warrior next to you is traited for that because you don’t see a signet/buff/weapon/anything. Kicking a warrior because you don’t know what his traits are would be incredibly stupid (I hope to not offend anyone). Now change all that I said about warriors for any other proffesion and you will probably find a new game.
By the way, same a guardian wall can block all projectiles, a necromancer with his darkness whell can block all melee hits. I never dare to go to fractal lvl 50 without a good necro in my team. Even level 43 or 33 would be harder without one necromancer.
TL;DR You should never judge anyone just because of the skills they choose to bring to a battle.
