Better not be any of the characters we have seen i the game yet.
I don’t like this either.
Original Guild Wars way of handling expansions and campaigns was far, far, far more fun and interesting.
I can’t even feel any hype towards Guild Wars 2 patches.
I did not play Original Guild Wars during the development of new campaigns and expansion, I played everything afterwards, but I did play World of Warcraft for a very long time and the expansion hype is really something unique.
Guild Wars 2 patches can never reach any kind of hype. The only place it gets hyped is the Guild Wars 2 reddit which is just filled with players who praise every single thing ArenaNet does.
The more Guild Wars 2 goes on the more ’’meh’’ I feel towards everything.
Let’s see todays patch… tooltip fixes… 3 new missions… another 1/5 part released of the whole map… more gem store items…

Stop being silly.
Finally some kittenty Quaggan gets in trouble. Boring that he didn’t die, they could at least made him a hanging loot piñata that drop gold if you bash it enough times.
Playing the Trading Post is obviously the best way to make gold. Might not be the fastest, but it’s the way to make the most amount of gold from.
Hopefully Eotm was a test to see how stuff worked out, and they will add more stuff like this to real WvW.
First they need to fix the bug Human shield users got.
If I have a backpack set on visible and I pull out my shield, the back item gets unsheathed too and slides from my arm to my back, it looks really ugly, and I can’t believe how long this has been in the game.
This is a really old video I made last year, and this bug is still the same.
Hunting down special mobs with elite skills with the signet of Capture to get that elite skill.
Vanquishing zones.
Doing challenge modes to get armor for your heroes.
Actually miss fetch quests because lore was written down in them.
Meh.. I dont care a kitten about achievements.. I just want to have fun in the game =D
I dont get it why ppl always want to get all the achievements anyway..?
Achievements are fun.
(Meant to post a suggestion but Anet locked me out of suggestion forum)
They haven’t locked you out, it’s like that for everyone.
They have put the forums in the archive and locked it so they can review all the suggestions without getting new topics added all the time.
It’s even more people that got Twilight or Sunrise than the rucksack.
We have entered a new age of gaming, where skill and dedication does not matter anymore, but the one with the biggest credit card does.
I can’t see it in the locker.
I’ll repeat myself..
“Having scars + scar tissue on my hand/ fingers jumping is near impossible. Having met players with Rheumatism and some with muscular disease, I’d like to thank Anet for excluding a zone once again. Fractals can not to be done, and now this zone.
Yes, jumping can be fun indeed (no sarcasm there)."
It sure sounds really bad in having all those diseases and scars, nothing to laugh about.
But I seriously doubt ArenaNet got you guys as their target audience to begin with. They are not going to skip on map design because ‘’Well, we can’t make the map like this because there are people with muscular diseases. Let’s make the whole kittening map flat instead.’’
Here, have it: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yd_1HJbMngE&feature=share
Ninjas sucks.
Probably every Thief player there is. Except all of them are Human Females with black leather underboob and blue colored haircut with the flower.
Gold seller post in disguise.
I think the master of peace is the one after the power, Aerin is innocent and was trying to stop him.
Anyway, if I’m right the new season is gonna be a cliché fest
In original Guild Wars, there was one thing called a Bloodstone in Maguuma Jungle, holding great magic.
And here we have Master of Peace going on his own journey, telling no one where he’s going and that no one should ask where he’s going.
Just sayin’
Don’t exclude the possibility of one more culprit.
I think the Master of Peace is rather suspicious. He might not have bee the one to kill people, but he could very well be pulling the strings.
After all, he is going on his journey, alone, as he said on the story mission. And no one should ask why or where he is going.
Also the achievements that unlock don’t seem to give access to some kind of ‘unique’ reward
This was specifically asked for by players. All over the forums, repeatedly, throughout season 1. To not bind stuff to the meta-achievement or the achievements in general, so as to remove the “forced grind” of it.
And they listened. :P
Could at least give a title or something, since it is permanent.
They are the new Bloodstone Dust.
This was really easy. Can’t believe people want this nerfed already.
ikr
i just jumped and got it first go…well, lucky you.
it’s not “luck”, lol
You’re telling me, diving off the platform, with no visual of where to go, and succeeding the first time, isn’t luck?
well ok then.
Actually, no.
People are able to scout their surroundings. They are able to see where the water is, and if they look up they can locate the debris, and where they should aim when at the top.
I did not make it the first time, I actually died 3 times before I got it. But I checked where the water were, and then I looked up, to use one of the big wooden beams as a guidance if I should jump over it, or before it.
So it’s very much possible to do it on the first go, it’s just that the majority of the people are so hasty and rash and needs to complete it ‘’NOW, NOW, NOW’’ in an instant, instead of taking their time to check the surroundings.
This was really easy. Can’t believe people want this nerfed already.
what about dashed advantage? i found the room…. twice and never got the ach
Did you kill the golem? You need to secure the crystals he’s carrying. Just kill the golem first as fast as possible, and then finish of the rest.
How did you do Zephyr’s Ascent? I don’t have a clue
Just jump up to the highest point during the misson ‘’Falle Hopes’’
It was easy.
Stop hyping over nothing.
The funny thing with World of Warcraft is that I actually prefered their music before they got an orchestra.
During Classic, all their soundtracks was made by one or two guys at a computer. I really loved the music they created.
They got an orchestra which was around the middle or at the end of The Burning Crusade expansion. The music they did with the orchestra wa absolutely awesome, too awesome infact, which in my opinion, made it annoying.
Everywhere you go now, every zone, every moment, everywhere, you hear some really awesome, epic, orchestra, and it just gets too much, it’s just too loud and in your face, all the time. Even places where it doesn’t need to sound loud and epic, it is just that, loud and epic.
Classic’s soundtrack was ambient, and fit the zones very much, and they only played epic soundtracks where epic soundtracks should be. The music in Classic felt very, very Warcraft like, and it was lovely.
As an example.
World of Warcraft, Classic Burning Steppes.
World of Warcraft, Cataclysm Burning Steppes.
Why you hate on ANet?
Nono, listen to me. I got Dolyak Finisher, I know best.
Use whatever heal you want.
Attachment for proof, because I’m pro and all that.
If I did the trailer, I would have showed Marjory’s sister, Belinda, walking in a group with other Seraphs into the Maguuma Jungle, just to give Belinda more spotlight after her appeareance in the Season 1 ending.
I would then have done a bird point of view over Maguuma Wastes, seeing Rox and Braham walking, and giving some other views on the surroundings, on how it looks like, and then, instant black screen with a soft drum sound, following up with a harsh sandstorm, with the siluette of new enemies, walking towards the camera.
At the end, you would see Marjory and Kasmeer standing somwhere in Maguuma Jungle, as they hear a dragon growl very far away, and you would see their eyes panicly look around, everwyehre around them. Black Screen. The End.
(edited by Moderator)
NPC in the corner: “JUMP ON THE DRAGON’S BACK!!!” “JUMP ON THE DRAGON’S BACK!!!”…….
‘’WATCH THE LEDGES’’
Maguuma wastes looked like that in GW, devours and all.
This is most likely the area called Dry Top
Makes sense.
Although I was expecting more of something like The Falls.
http://wiki.guildwars.com/wiki/The_Falls
We have way too many brown dust maps already.
Stop. Linking. Guild Wars 1. Stuff.
Feels. And. Nostalgia. Too. Stronk.
Meh, the trailer didn’t look too interesting.
I gladly accept a new permanent zone though.
Tara Strong is a really, really talented voice actress. It’s sad that she voiced Scarlet which wasn’t very well written.
I really hope Tara Strong will voice more main characters in Guild Wars 2, but this time they should be much more well written.
Legendaries would be fun and interesting if there was a journey for them, making them a true legendary instead of a credit card weapon.
Thoughtless/Selfless potions were not meta achievement rewards. You needed to get 250 Heirlooms (not that easy) and pay 10g to buy it.
I think it was intentional they got left out at this point.
Following a mindless zerg to get 250 Heirlooms is easier than doing metas for the others LS. And everyone should have 10g lol
The heirlooms were spread out all over the map, so following a zerg was so inefficient. You had to split out from the zerg and walk your own path to get them.
-
Selfless and Thoughtless Potion should not be a reward you can buy again for tokens because it was not the meta, it was a side thing for more dedicated players to get.
Learn to play issue.
You will eventually get there.
I killed Liadri after 18 tries, of 19. But for Liadri you cannot make a mistake, it has to be perfect and that is the issue. You can make mistakes. There are some white portals at a very bad spot too. Just on the edge and sometimes the illusion would kill you so it was a bit harder to lead it in. Sometimes the camera angle sucks, but then again if everything goes perfect it’s a cat in the bag.
Liadri allows you to make loads of mistakes, it’s nowhere near for you to make it a perfect fight.
Everything spawns exactly the same way, the same pattern, all the time. you just have to remember where the kitten is placed, really.
Apparently this is a thing.
They nerf the loot and advertise to buy gems to get gold.
I played it on my Guardian.
The only weapon I used was Scepter.
I just kited around as I spammed my #1 attack on her.
Completed it on the third try.
A little bit easier this year since they removed the bubble from the arena.
It took me like 20 seconds from the bottom to the top…
Not sure what you are complaning about, this was ridiculously easy.
Yea, it’s annoys me too when they want money for finishers…
sarcasm
But it doesn’t annoy when it becomes far too much? Far too frequent?
It’s pushing me further and further away from the game as well.
It’s not fun anymore.
Welcome to the cash shop model. If this becomes the standard in MMOs, then I will no longer be playing MMOs. Because I really don’t see how people prefer to be nickel and dimed than just pay a traditional, trivial, sub free and get access to everything in game.
Though if people must play B2P or F2P games, then Rift has a very fair cash shop.
I know what you mean.
The even more scary part, so to say, is that big games like World of Warcraft have started with cash shops, and even taken the step to be selling instant level 90’s (which is max level at the moment.)
It doesn’t matter what people think, or say- other game companies will take after World of Warcraft like they have done before.
You’re not even safe anymore, even paying for a subscription fee.
It’s pushing me further and further away from the game as well.
It’s not fun anymore.
Have you guys ever seen a really good stealth thief in WvW? No joke 20+ people can’t kill this guy.
Now, he’s not killing anyone himself, but it’s pretty ridiculous to watch him bounce around and constantly invis while dozens of people scramble around. Pretty impressive actually.
hahahahahahahahahahhahahahahahahahahhahahahahaaha
yeah because the most important thing in WvW is to use 20 people to kill 1 single thief.
hahahahahahhahahahaha
and i wonder why this forums is worst every day.
Slowing down your enemy is a big plus in WvW. That is why Commanders usually say to not chase enemy player or stop at sentries, because it slows your zerg down, and by that time, your enemy could’ve already captured a tower, or a keep.
So, yes. Having a Thief that can slow down 20 people from a zerg is really good.
So keep spam your ’’hahahahahahahahahahahhahahaha’’ and feel clever about it.
Playing as a Guardian against Mesmers and Necromancer, I have noticed this too. They kill me really, really fast.
Just now, a guild from our server sent a recruit message in map chat for WvW.
Guess what happend.
Other servers started to trash talk the recruiter’s home world, and then, other players from other servers started to trash talk everyone, it was a whole kittening mess.
