I don’t think Guild Wars 2 would be interesting enough as a tabletop RPG.
Well they’re making an expansion-sized announcement on Saturday, so, pretty good.
We don’t know if this is true or not.
It just feels weird with one cinematic you see Eir, Logan and Zojja hanging on to a falling ship as it burns in the sky.
In the other cinematic, they “blow up” instantly.
I finally got the stuff to load and I looked it through. I would say it looks decent.
But it also looks very cluttered with pictures on everything. Making pictures on everything is not always good.
Far fetched I would say.
I can’t even open the links, they keep loading forever.

Charr just looks weird as guardian.
they are actually look really good. with heavy t3 cultural especially they look beast. my personal opinion is norn for guardian, charr for warrior, human for thief, etc. with the cultural armor for them they look really nice.
Charr is more fitting as engineer, because they are, an engineer race. Of course, warrior fits too, but norn fits much more as warriors, because of the way norn are in lore.
Human just fit as everything, because every piece of lore about the professions boils down to human.
You played only as human in original Guild Wars. Warrior, monk, elementalist, necromancer, ranger, mesmer, assassin, ritualist, paragon and dervish.
Guardian in lore got its roots in paragons, that later on learned the way of the monk. Guardian also got a tiny bit of ritualist in them, the spirit weapons.

Hard to see in the shadows there but I would say any dye that’s in the range of Fog and Fluff Dye on the armour, and the cloth piece is like Gold Dye.
When in doubt always roll human female.
Also: human male empower animation looks like him taking a poop in the middle of woods. Just to put that thought in your head.
Every human female just looks like barbies, all of them look the same. The human male empower animation is far more awesome for this reason alone that’s linked below. So go ahead and float or whatever, look all bland and boring. The human male guardians will rock the Freddie Mercury.

Human for various of reasons.
Every armour piece except the cultural looks completely crap on charr. The armours are usually first created on a human model to then stretch out on charr, which makes armour on the human race look much better.
Charr movement can feel (and looks, IMO) very clunky, as well as walking around in narrow areas, you can barely get good sight with charr characters for being so big.
Then there’s this (again) whole armour deal with horns for charr not appearing correctly and everything is a huge clip-fest for them.
Human guardian, IMO, just feels more right too, having the knight archetype and everything. Charr just looks weird as guardian.

What is natural for non-human races though?
I’ve been using shield since the beta weekends and the headstart.
Not because it’s particularly good or anything compared to the other off-hands, but it’s fun to use and it completes the guardian profession, and it just feels “meh” always going for the max damage weapons all the time.
So lowering the CD on the skills is appreciated.
I picked Ascalonian because master ancestry.
Good. I think the damage is too kitten high party.
Good to know shield gets a little bit attention at least.
I’m not good at math so, if you got the Honorable Shield trait (+90 Toughness, 20% reduced recharge time on shield abilities) what would their CD be?

Everyone will pick thief to be able to stealth because it’s such a broken skill.
Reset on kill traits doesn’t work either.
Always a good way to mail people salt when they start to whisper you bad things.
What? Re-read what I wrote. I’m not complaining that they’re charging at all, I’m complaining they’re charging extra for less work.
Doesn’t really change the point of my post though.
They need to charge extra for something. And I am rather certain that most people prefer they charge extra for something completely useless than something that gives actual advantages.

Engineers got more ground control than guardians.
I hope they make something in the future that tracks your toughness, so players who got 3k toughness or over, will take 90% less damage. Not all the time, but during certain events.
Maybe in future raids if ArenaNet decides to make it a thing, a certain room needs a certain amount of people, with over 3k toughness to be able to “tank” damage in some way. It can be anything, like, standing on 3 different pressure plates for 10 seconds, but if you don’t have over 3k toughness, you will tick for 10k damage per second.
You need to give every stat a purpose in some way. At the moment everything is a speed-killing test.
Zojja worries for all player characters that did the story, but I think Asuras get a little bit extra in it.
You can always write a fanfic if you so desire.

I give ArenaNet credit for some things they do, and I question other things they do.
This story began with a human soldier named Ronan whom, while separated from his patrol, discovered a cavern filled with strange seed-pods. This cavern was protected by terrible plant creatures, so he fled, clinging to a single seed to show his daughter when he returned home from war. But, upon his arrival, Ronan discovered the Mursaat had destroyed his village and murdered his family, leaving only ruined houses and mass graves. In agony, he planted the seed on their graves and swore never to return to battle.
Ronan was joined by an aging Centaur named Ventari, who had also begun to lose hope in peace. The human and the Centaur, against all odds, formed a friendship that surpassed the bounds of race. Together, they decided to begin their lives anew and create a refuge for human and Centaur alike. They built their safe haven near the ocean and the budding tree for all those who sought peace and the shelter of friendship.
The pale oak grew under the watchful and gentle eye of Ventari, becoming strong and healthy, and giving the old Centaur great joy. Yet with this bliss came sorrow. The Centaur tribes of the north and west, crushed and driven out by Krytans fleeing from their flooding coastline, grew more and more savage and brutal. As more tribes joined the war, fewer were willing to listen to Ventari’s words, and his new outpost became smaller and smaller.
At last, old and gray, Ventari carved his life’s lessons upon a marble tablet, which he placed at the base of the pale tree so that future travelers might read it and, perhaps, learn the ways of peace and harmony. The tree, white and sparkling, continued to grow. Over a hundred years later, small cocoons appeared among its branches. They called themselves the Sylvari, and these “Firstborn” were only the beginning of a widespread emergence, all born from the same massive tree.
The marble tablet still bears Ventari’s last words, and the Sylvari who emerged from the tree found themselves strangely guided by these ancient lessons. Whether the tree, tended by Ventari, somehow became imprinted with the noble Centaur’s morals and ethics, or whether it absorbed both the remains of the Centaur’s flesh as well as his compassionate soul upon his death, no one knows for certain. But it is certain that his influence over the Sylvari is strong, even so many decades after his death. Their race venerates the Ventari Tablet as their most sacred artifact and testament.
I want to say that people should just stop suggesting things at random because they think it’s cool. It really makes no sense at all and it just looks stupid.

I’ve been verbally abused by 5 man roamers because I decided to start shooting at them with a cannon.
They told me to jump down and 1vs5 them and everything.
I then whispered back something catchy when our server zerg came and ran them over.
It’s not an expansion, it’s just more Living World. Anyone who expects differently is being deluded. There is absolutely nothing about the trailer that even remotely indicates anything more than Season 3

Guardians should have a passive effect using shields if they are forced to keep the way the skills are.
The passive effect could randomly put burn on the enemy target for 1 second when they attack you, just like how those Ascalonian ghosts got the Fiery Block thing, but a little bit different.

Mursaat didn’t have anything spiky around their heads, but if you look at a GW1 model of a Seer, they have a very high spiky collar.
Could be a modern revision of the Seers, but that wouldn’t explain the lack of an extra set of arms.
We don’t know where they are from, but we know they were at odds with the Mursaat, created agony resistance and were around when the Tome of Rubicon was created.
People mention Seers all the time, but they are wrong for different reasons.

The creature in the video got black tendril-like wings coming from the back, similar to just what Mursaat got.
I’m unsure but weren’t Mursaat said to live in a city of gold? In the video, the buildings are turning just into gold, or a colour very similar to gold.
People don’t seem to die in crashes in this game. Flight is a relatively new invention so they don’t go up super high, plus all the ships were connected by the vines that were attacking them, so they could have just run/climbed down the vines as the ship was going down.

I mean, the huge floating wizard castle existed even in original Guild Wars.
Rata Sum also floats pretty high up.
Some things people might have to think about is, that devs can sometimes give things a new design.
I think that is a Mursaat, and while it doesn’t have the exact same tendril/wing like things from the first game, it still got some sort of tendrils coming out of the back.
I thought it sound like her, was mainly surprised that she was just voicing her again.

It’s definitely a Mursaat (not Seer) with what looks like the shape of the White Mantle for its helmet or shoulder pads turning a tower to gold. Yet it has tendrils and a green flow of energy through it’s body.
I was kind of surprised that The Shadow was inside the sealed Forgotten chamber. Does this mean Mordremoth’s influence can basically go anywhere? Finding and corrupting the last living Mursaat hidden away in their capital city would make a lot more sense then.
But why then, would a now minion of Mordremoth be bothered with trivial things such as turning a building to gold?
Color me puzzled.

Caithe killed Wynne to keep the sylvari’s secret from Caithe’s lover and the world; not to keep her from being tortured. Wynne asked Caithe to kill her because she knew she could not resist the torture.
And at that point, Caithe being “good” like the NPCs told us she was right before we went into that set piece, would have been like, “Kill you?! I’ll just stealth you out of here like I stealthed my girlfriend around the Asura that were doing experiments on other Sylvari. You know, the ones being tortured that I rescued?”
So you are saying she would kill Wynne instead of rescuing her from being tortured in front of her by her own lover, but the others she would save? That logic isn’t all that sound at all.
She couldn’t rescue Wynne because the love for Faolain was far too strong and twisted, so being pushed to the brink of doing something, she did what Wynne asked for.

Do people really find it that hard to recognise Felicia Day’s voice? I recognised it in an instant and got surprised that she’s actually voicing her again.
People can walk around with their Twilight, Sunrise, Eternity, Bifrost, The Moot, or whatever legendary they got, and think their footfalls and auras are all awesome.
But none of those legendaries can match The Flameseeker Prophecies. Why? The name alone should tell you why.
The shield itself is named after the freaking original Guild Wars game.

You guys are not understanding. In the phase where you have to wait to get the torch and then stand and like the wall, by the time you go to light the 3rd one the first one has gone out.

Instead of lighting the wall, just kill the shadow with the divine fire buff, and then retake the fire to light the wall.

I actually hope it’s a campaign similar to what original Guild Wars did.
New players can pick it up with no need to worry about what order you need to buy them in, and they can start to level from there (this, of course, depends if it will be anything like the campaign from the original game) and it will also be an expansion for older players.
