It’s just funny that mesmers can run condi clear, condition application, stun breaks, reflections, dmg mitigation, a lot of stealth, blinking, daze, interupts all in one build PLUS going tanky with a lot of HP and taughness is just not fun, i think there has to be done something about this mesmer release of unbalanced madness that is not even fight. Most of people simply say kitten this build, and they leave are and refuse to fight 1v1, including me, simply because there is nothing fun about it to duel them, and every body have fairly small chance to win them except if you are d/d ele which is same rank of cancer anyways. I’m just tired of this build being so broken on so many levels.
It’s time for anet to start balancing PvE separately from PvP and WvW.
I don’t care as long as i’ll finally be able to destroy every single mesmer that runs pu, mantra or shatter-mantra cancer Because mesmers currently have to much of every thing, same like D/Ds
And for the boon comparison, you are comparing, a build that requires energy, that has an energy waste + cooldown? AND also a permanent build that you cannot change, do you think your comparison is justified compared to mesmer choice of utilities and build ? you are already OP and you want more, please stop.

I was really mad as a spirit ranger myself. Even if I trait into more powerful spirits they still get 1 shotted in an AoEs whilst they had some survavibility while they were following me
Yep, i was more mad on trapper “rework”.. every thing pre-trait-changes was better on ranger playstyle, except this new QUICK DRAW.. every thing else didnt add anything to ranger playstyle.

BTW, the ping number we show in the client on the options screen is probably different than you see in other games. We should name it something different. Traditionally the ping time is the time it takes for a packet to get to a server and back. In our case, it is the time to get to the server, get processed by the game map you are in, and then sent back. So our misnamed “ping” is much more variable than most ping numbers because it includes game processing time.

I did compare this same result with other games, and i wonder why is anets data retrieve double of the pocket travel of normal ping in average? What is anet taking so long to generate data, or bigger question what is anet making wrong compared to GW1 and other games?
In general anet servers took minimum 50ms to pass the data, while other MMOs gave extra 15 seconds max. Let me point out that I did capture GW2 data while sitting in hoelbrak (norn primary town with minimum people). I’ll show data of games that I happened to have on my PC, and here are average results of 600 second measuring:
Comparison of other games (I know LoL is not MMO but still worth testing):
- League of Legends EUW: 37ms + 8ms
- Lineage 2: 25ms + 15ms
- Guild Wars 1: 38ms + 11ms
- Guild Wars 2: 58ms + 50ms

Hmm…I thought the Devs stated that all characters, regardless of size or race, have standardized hit-boxes.

For example even if asura stands slightly of the wall in WVW you can’t hit it, but if norn does it you can. We did the same test in sPvP maps.
As we all or most of us know how collision detection works, in shooter games you aim freely and if you hit a collision object anywhere, you deal damage, but GW2 has a problem, which causes A LOT OF OBSTRUCTION AND DISADVANTAGE FOR BIG CHARACTER PLAYERS.
In GW2 you don’t aim, you simply select target, and you shoot projectile into opponents direction. In FPS games you can aim in any part of body, but in GW2, player will always shoot in center of body (X,Y). And smaller characters have greather chance to hide behind the hill or stairs in PvP or WvW.
Making smallest asura, will give you a lot more advantage then creating large norn.

We have 3 condi removel in 10 sec interval, where we don’t have a clue when this cleanse will happen, this means you’ll already eat 5-6 sec of burn which is crucial OR your pet will get those conditions and will instantly die of burning unless you are running bear or drakes.. LOLThen we have survival skills to remove condis, really? The last thing ranger should do is waste utility stun break or any survival skill just for condi cleanse. RANGER NEEDS utility to play, not to use them for cleansing condis..
Condition melee ranger with s/t + a/d is fine, because you run signet + remove on survival skill use, because you use 3-4 survival skills anyways. BUT… to be fair if you expect power ranger to run more then 2 utilities that are survival you are wrong, because with current meta, this is IMPOSSIBLE and rangers are literally on the worst position currently to deal with this kind of problems.
Sadly game does have mechanics to prevent power damage, and we know how to deal with power builds, but in condition cases, anet did not provide enough condition clears for classes to make this fights equal, CONDI vs POWER. SO i hope anet got a call from this lecture..

This thread is about condi cleansing. On my ranger, the only class I’m 50/50 beating is Mesmer. Everyone else falls – condi or dps build. Rangers have amazing condi removal.

Totaly agree with all of this. But the main problem i already said thousand times is not the fact we dont have enough condi cleanser on demand, is the fact that condi can be applied too much in this game, plus the fact condi should never burst. Its a support damage, every build that has condi damage as the main source of damage should be checked, cuz its wrong.
I think condi should have burst, but that should be controlled very carefully because current state of mesmers, engies and guardians in condition build wise they are just one broken ***t that anet left unbalanced on purpose to change some of meta which i support, but keep them balanced!
PROBLEM WITH ANET IS THAT THEY DID NOT DEVELOPE GOOD ENOUGH CONDI CLEAR MECHANICS.
We have dodge for for psychical dmg, but what do we have for conditions?
I’m ranger + thief main! In order to get any conditions work we have very stupid way of removing them and this is main through “interval condition clearing” which is … sorry anet kittenED.
For example Empathic Bond removes 3 condis every 10 seconds.
HUGE PROBLEM:
- we don’t know when the 10 second mark
- by the time 10 second mark to clear condition is up, your 6 second of 3k burn is already removed by itself.. and after 10 second mark they can apply conditions again, and this makes this trait STUPID and UNPROFESSIONAL RNG ***T anet seriously?
- no matter what pets you use, your pets die even bears and drakes! I won’t even mention how fast birds and spiders die..
SOLUTION: - Ranger should have Empathic Bond reworked, remove 2 conditions every 5 seconds of first condition application and not rotate the stupid timer on RANDOM… kittening hell!
- Ranger pet auto attacks should clear conditions
- Ranger should get condition removal on evade!
Other ranger problems:
- wasting defensive utilities just to clear conditions (2 condi remove on survival skills use), is pointless, because as ranger your survival is very dependent on saving this skills for something else then removing conditions! This type of play style only benefits condition rangers and NOTHING ELSE.. which is dumb.
ANET NOTE: If you want to make your game more eSports…. STOP more RNG into the combat mode! It’s ruining fun and start working on active combat! You still have a lot of work to do to make this combat eSports worthy! So chop chop!

2v2 needed to happen ages ago. They even recognized the popularity and said they had most of the technology to do it. They’re missing an opportunity because WoW is already moving toward the direction of removing Gear treadmill in PVP, which will kill one of the biggest Arena (and general PVP) draws GW2 had… Games are moving toward smaller and quicker games, which is why 1v1, 2v2 and 3v3 are so incredibly popular.
Disappointing, now that Stronghold is HoT’s big pvp-feature, that means we’re in for another big wait, and by then, I’m not sure GW2 will have the pvp community anymore for it to matter as much, if I’m completely honest.

Problem is loyal people wait long, up to 3-5 years, and that time is about up.
Stronghold is waste of resources if you ask me, i did try the game mode, and it’s not playable for longer then 1-2 games per week because of boring concepts where we lack of fights, to many obstructed areas, clustered, and NPCs have to big role to actually do something. So basically this is short call for PvE people to join PvP with minimum fights ROFL.
UNIQUE REWARDING OF BEST PERFORMING PLAYERS!
Currently there is nothing to drive me into sPvP, not even future changes of ladder, why? Because there is simply NOTHING to push my limits for, i rather join king of the hill map for 1v1 or roam WvW solo or find a 2v2 3v3 premade fight, to satisfy my duel spirit.
There is nothing more rewarding to me then, joining WvW and find a person for 1v1 duel and not stomping her/him. It’s amazing to see how during duels people stop by and slowly add up to spectate those duels and participate in them by waiting their turn and respect each other. Currently my trophy’s are 1v1 recordings, but for PvP, trophy would mean an unique weapon/armor skin!
BUT WHAT WOULD DRIVE ME CRAZY TO DIG PVP
Simple answer: unique monthly title of best players of X class.
- Create 9 statues, for each class in PvP lobby
- Each statue represents a player of the month for specific class
- Each statue will show data how did player perform
- Each player gets temporary unique legendary for the next month if she/he got entitled (Just like yellow shirt in cycling)
- Temporary items are removed on the next month if player did not repeat best performance again
- On the end of the year, players that got legendary title of the month at least once, will get unique season legendary item as a reward ( this way we would give out maximum 12*9 = 108 legendary limited weapons each year to those that proven their worthy for their dedication!)
- Every person that got on the top 100 list of specific class, gets a monthly reward as well (something worth fighting for, no soulbound/account bound items)
- All rewards except legendary weapons are trade-able
This are the things i would dig pvp for, unique reward that people deserve not by spamming the games, but playing with honor and playing for the title that not many people own, why? Because you have to earn it!
All formats would sum up on the end of the month
- Stronghold 5v5
- Conquest 5v5
- Death match 1v1 (we need this)
- Death match 2v2 (we need this)
- Death match 5v5 (we need this)
This would apply also for GvGs and keep them 15v15 and best team on ladder gets monthly rewards that we mentioned up there!
People always claim they don’t need anything but brawling to keep them in PvP, but pushing on the way to the top is so much sweeter if you know, that there is trophy to lift on the END!

Some lights are stronger then in other ares, and some lights are closer to character in character select, which could be easily seen from character select ( we have a very close light on top right little off center)

Hi, did you ever wonder how to improve mechanics and how this game could become more reactive, and responsive in play style?
Lets take for example defending, lets make it more reactive defending in fun way!
But how?
One simple solution is reduced cooldown on reactive playing, some examples:
Ranger: Signet of Stone 80sec(traited 64s), 6 sec duration.
Warrior: Shield stance 30sec, 3sec duration
Warrior: Endure Pain, 60sec, 4sec duration
Guardian:Shield of Absorption,24sec, 4sec duration
Lets say you are in danger and you see major burst coming and you want to reactively block it. For example Guardian with skill Shield of Absorption, would use defence just for 1 second, then hit the skill again to stop defending, and reactively put it on the reduced cooldown, because he used only 1/4 of skill duration, it would get 1/4 skill reduction which would put Shield Of Absorption from 24 sec cooldown > 6sec cooldown.
What this would mean for the game? Players would be able to actively decide how long they want to block and think about when and how to defend yourself on more responsive way!
Lets see what skill reuse cooldown would player have on used skill if you reactively put it on cooldown, check attachments for some examples:

Reflects incoming projectiles. Mirror (1½s): Reflects incoming projectiles.
What does this mean, on dodge they have 1.5sec reflection and cooldown, so every time they dodge they reflect no matter what.
Compared to ranger trait Primeval Reflex, in order to get 5 seconds vigor, we need to evade, and we have 8 seconds of internal cooldown.
Either ranger needs removal of internal cooldown or mesmer needs 3-4 seconds internal cooldown. While we all know that endurance got drastically nerfed!

Anet is simply became what i did fear the most, they are nothing like GW1 devs that did care a lot for community and gave every thing to stay as close to them and they did know good that, keeping good relationship with fans is the best to be honest. A lot of anet core members left before release of GW2, and they recruited new people. I don’t want to judge but, it seems that as anets roster grows, we share less and less mutual respect and quality experience in last 3 years.
Anet, don’t take me wrong, but that post is just reflection of your communication, it seems like you guys don’t care any more for what your fans think, you only care for those that whistle how you should make the game..
We know for very long that you guys don’t listen to WvW and PvP players, but i was not aware of not listening any of play base, which is kind of sad.

Hello i’m here to let you know that, when you’ll purchase the game.
- 90% of the time WvW game mode doesnt work (6 second skill delay OR 150+ ping) which makes the game mode unplayable.
- PvP match making is so poor that as soon as you’ll have 10-20 games, you’ll be ranked fairly quickly with group of people that are very skilled and far above your game knowledge.
- PvE is nothing but boring afk 1111 fest with no challenging content, and boss fights are noting as epic as trailers show.
It feels like i should stress this out.
Some of us play GW2 only for WvW. Arena net expanded roster, and has more problems then ever before in GW1, is this a problem that we should address? Is GW2 only existing because GW1 made the name? Or can you prove to **** fix WvW lag once for all .. and please…
REVEAL the data that you were so carefully “collecting” during this map cap for 3 months..
NOTE: this is not a rent post, this is a decent expression of average frustrated WvW player that cares for the game.
EDIT: People will try to convince you one thing, but i think new people should know what is going on in current game, and how nothing is done in less then 3 years from addressed problem. Since beta, we still have the same problems as Day 1 of GW2 Beta

Have you fought Mesmers lately OP?
Mesmers will get a big nerf in short amount of time. But this is not a mesmer conversation currently, and on long fight, ele wins.
Pets don’t taunt when you are in downed state.
If you trait you should taunt them!
That only play WvW, we had this one game mode, now we have entire week ahead of BS like this golem rush… EOTM would be totally fine for this kind of event, yes its fun 5 min.. but not entire week.
you are in the wrong place to complain about ele’s. I tell you what. Look at any other class with condi removal in their builds and you have something that is hard to counter.
What I’m saying there is counter to ele, but not wide enough and ele can with one simple build rule over 95% matchups and come out with almost full health. If you can kill ele in d/d build, that doesn’t mean its a counter.
Power/celestial elementalist is the only class that can deal with power and condi opponents without major problem if they play correctly, is that justified? I think it’s very unfair to other classes. They can run 1 build to rule them all while other classes have at best 1 build that covers 60% of matchup.
I think it’s time for ele to have some counter builds for that.
WvW & PvE needs a lot of dodging.
PvP is fine, because fights are a lot smaller and not as intense as for example 15v15.
I think vigor nerf is unjustified, why?
Meta is all about bursting and it’s all about destroying targets as fast. With this kind of combat tempo, we got a lot less options to dodge and survive. It’s literally breaking the game combat, because rotations are faster then we get another dodge.
ALSO BUG:
– notice that dodging sometimes takes 60% of endurance on first dodge, and you cannot double dodge!

I can say that this border lands are 40% way to clustered, there will be trillions of “obstructed” calls, this game is just not designed for vertical fight, amen.
The thing i find frustrating is that they are very nice, but if there is no open fight then kitten it.. i won’t play that map. The only good appropriate name that i can come up with for this border is “BOBSLED”. Full of chokes, cliffs, 40% used map to make cliffs and ruins, but gives no real decent mechanics over that. This looks like one big Death match PvP map. Not anything near WvW centric.
I’ll simply put it this way, why does ranger pet reveals you if they hit, and you don’t get revealed when illusions hit you? That is just not justified. First step would be, removing stealth from all classes that are not thief OR Trapper runes. Mesmer should get mirror/mimic mechanics where they simply swap between clones, and ofc illusions are not killable only shatter-able. Amen.
To me mesmer stealth should be completely removed from the game, and mesmers should get mechanics to mimic between clones (and ofc make clones undead) so they can jump between them, mesmers should be mirror masters, illusionists and not outdone thiefs… Both PU and Shatter mesmers are out of place, and should have removed stealth and implemented different mechanics that would involve playstyle that requires position as every other class. Mesmers have basically no need to position unless you got for that 100 ranger spike, and that’s about it, they don’t even have to face in any direction. So basically mesmers need this, because currently they have to easy job with all this stealth. The only class with stealth should be THIEF or class that uses Runes of Trapper/or if they create some stealth rune in future. No other class not even ranger or engie or mesmer shouldn’t be justified for stealth.
It’s fun for you, and it’s nothing near fun for other people playing versus mesmer with 30% unjustified damage where you can to easily apply conditions and shatter damage on satter mesmer.. while not even geting punished for it. You just apply condis on poor thing, then hide, while the target trying to find you, specially melee will die jsut by standing, and even faster by searching for you.
PU mesmers is number one on my favourite nerf list.
Next one is new “EAZ PZ SHATTER THIS” build.. where requires to press 3 buttons very quickly to make 14k damage. This is not how it should be, every class has insane cast time to make this happend, and then execution, mesmer can deal that damage within 2 second time lapse from casting to damage done, which includes also walking to the target.
2ND on my favourite list is shatter nerf which can deal 22k damage on target with 3,3k ARMOR and 26k HP. Is this single rotation justified ? No.
I’m not having desire to nerf anything to the ground, all i want is equal balance, and fair play. Both PU and shatter hit way to hard, and both are having little to no counter in 1v1 2v1, people say don’t exegerate but my friend yesterday outplayed 2v8, killed 3 and got away with Shatter mesmer, came back and killed the other 4 trying to ress those pore guys. Keep in mind they were all above silver, so those were not some bronze scrubs that just made virgin steps into WvW.
NOTE: some builds are out of place, some are very weak, and my desire is that every style should have a chance to be played, and at least little viable, and every build should have counter by every profession not just D/D ele.

Anything challenging Anet would try to add in, especially open world, would get nerfed due to player complaints. Fractals is where really challenging content should be added into, but Anet doesn’t even seem creative or willing enough to do so.
This game is based around casuals and instant gratification, content difficulty is based around that.

liadri when first released was difficult, casuals complained which later got her nerfed to disgustingly faceroll
tequatl from the major patch update prior to the discovery of the guard bug was a good bit of fun, what happened then? players complained and now we are right back where we were prepatch killing it before 10 min mark snooze fest. makes updating world bosses pointless if it ends up going to the same spot that you wanted to get away from
have no fear!! if hot releases challenging stuff outside an instanced dungeon the casuals will be here throwing a temper tantrum (like they do at the store with their moms unless she buys them that piece of candy) until they nerf it so that you may finally complete it and say you put in work.
I never buy candy when kids kitten about it, i buy it when they earn it. That’s how players should be treated in PvE. That’s why tons of PvE players that just started, stated in reddit, where is PVE in GW2, there is nothing fun after they hit lvl 80.
Problem with GW2 is that there is no challenge, what you do at lvl 1 you do at lvl 80 in PvE.. and it’s sad. Don’t worry about casuals b****ing about something, because if you state, that’s how it’s going to be, and nothing else, you pretty much get them to adapt. They always adapt.

Anet is perfectly capable of making extremely challenging open-world content where every player has to be at their peak. Of course they are. It would just never be completed outside of guild runs which makes it kind of pointless being open world; you just add a bunch of inconvenience and potential interference for that players that actually are capable of doing it.
Open world content has to be balanced around the large percentage of PvE players that refuse to wear the right gear, use the right skills or learn the right tactics. If it’s balanced around those players then it’s trivial for anybody with half a brain (and the rest get carried anyway) and if it’s not then those players would whine relentlessly about it being impossible until that content gets nerfed.
Open world content also has the problem that you, as an individual, have almost no bearing on whether a run succeeds or fails; there are a hundred other players doing the same stuff. And if Anet did make it so individuals could, through some special mechanic, be responsible for a run succeeding or failing? It would be griefed relentlessly.
How hard is Colocal Queen, but yet people do it, and it’s 10x harder then Tequatle.

What i want is not what they will make, but i since you ask me, here it is MORE INTERESTING BOSSES:
– FIRST OF ALL, i don’t want challenging content to be ONLY dungeon(sure they can make them more and i would love to see new dungeons for people that enjoy dungeons, but my personally challenging content would be something else), i want open world challenging content, dungeons can be challenging on its own, so i desire for long an open world where you could have some fun killing a mob, and actually think about it how to defeat it, and not just 11111.
– I want bosses to be hard, in every step and part
– i want them to be dominant, they should be hostile and protect their teoritory, who ever gets to close from unwanted side, should be punished ( example beetle mechanics hitting from back 0 dmg) i would reflect that damage, to make people think.
– they need to make combat fighting a mob interesting! How? Force us to move a lot faster
– mobs need 30% faster attack animations, and they should hit faster, because every single thing that they cast, they do for ages, and it’s boring since i can just step a side to avoid damage, (dont even need to dodge)
– make events unique, make people use spells to secure objectives to get big monster down
– make enemy bosses DROP LESS AND BETTER STUFF WHEN THEY DO (i rather get nothing,null,zero,0.. then junk, there should be always 1 drop of unique weapon per event with unique skins)
– make fights interesting, and force people to move around, the only way you should be able to survive event is if you move 80% of the time, if not, you should be dead!
– don’t make bosses static, let them move in area of 2000 range from pivot point. Let them guard that area hard!
– DON’T give bosses a lot of life, but give them some type of protection that would force people to team work to create damage
– combo fields should do a lot more damage then regular 1111
– let us fail sometimes? Yes?
– Don’t make bosses time based, but let the reward be time based!
– PREVENT STACKING SYSTEM
– PREVENT AFK BOSS FARMING
– REWARD TEAMWORK
– REWARD REVIVING
That’s what i want from content, i want to feel achieved, AND I WANT TO PLAY GUILD WARS 2, BECAUSE I KNOW FROM GW1 THAT THEY CAN DO THIS ON VERY HIGH FUN & INTERESTING WAY. THIS IS MY IDEA OF CHALLENGING CONTENT.

P.S. can you balance the numbers? Because 2 key combo burst 12k+ in less then 2 sec, is breaking the game, and it’s frustrating. Fights went from minimum 30 sec fight to 8-12 sec fights, because that’s what it takes to get 2 rotations burst on thief or mesmer.

I used to run 2810 power full berzerker, now I can get maximum 2590 power >_>
While all other classes got potential buff in this case, (mesmer, thief) all the assassination classes but rangers…
Lb is fine.
Ranged should not do more damage than melee for any class because you take less damage being at range.
However, rangers are the exception to the rule because in a pvp our melee does less damage than lb…
Translation – ranger melee needs a buff.

Before patch, range did matter something, but now ? When game got quicker? You have nothing, if you get ganked or you gank, you drop like a stick. Be it PU or condi mesmer, a condi necro, a burn guard, d/p thief.. i can go on.. The problem of game is we lack of defensive mechanics that are active, dodges, and cooldowns.
Thiefs can reset stealth to fast, so do mesmer, and they still make full potential damage. The biggest problem with rangers currently is that we simply have nothing to defend ourselves because pets die so fast because anet simply didn’t think and is simply dissrespectful and careless to make rangers some how decent reactive class.
Pre patch i could have upper hand even when ganked, if i know who i face and how to react to counter it. But now? Game is so quick that every class can full burst each other in 1-2 combos. Normal 1v1 fights went from 1+min fights to 10 sec fights…
This meta is most boring meta i’ve been playing since GW2 beta. There is no counter to stealth, and yet those that aguse it have full burst potential. D/Ds are simply undestroyable in 1v1 if they face power vs power build, because their sustain is to strong.
It’s just sad what rangers have became, trapper is gone, spirit ranger is gone, regeneration ranger is gone, what do we have left? Longbow and condi melee ranger.
Can we get shortbow rework?
Can we get a decent dodge mechanics? “maybe get vigor on dodge if u happen to evade”
Can we get decent trait synergy? ( i trully love QUickDraw idea) but that’s one out of trillion good traits that i can say, this trait works beautiffully with my build.
Can we get classes balanced? Because current meta is is nothing but full berzerker, because even full dire, you will get destroyed in 1-2 combos.
Can we get pet buffed (sustain stats) so we can actually use mpathic Bond?
Can we get fury ranger a thing? It’s not working like you’ve planed.
Can we get somehow decent pet that will allow me not to worry more about his health then mine?
Can we get some traits improved? It’s a shame we literally have only 1 option because we trully have to decide which trait sucks less, and not which one is awesome.
Can we get sic em reworked? To work on radius reveal and not preventing reveal of a player?
Can we get off hand training back?
Can we get trapper ground targeting back ?
Can we get more then 1 post per 3 years of Anet on ranger forum?

Pets need at least 50% or 100% health buff, and if you choose Empathic boon, they should be immune on conditions! eating 2 stacks of fire kills the pet alone.
Ranger pet state is worst then ever. totally out of place, where pets die in 1v1 when they are on passive.
EDIT: we are not speaking about birds that are squishy, we speak about dogs cats spiders drakes what so ever. Tanky pets just don’t deliver F2 presents that most of ranger synergy requires to do so.
Increasing pet health have already be done. In fact, this is the worst solution to improve their survivability since you will struggle even more to heal them. Increasing vitality only nerf regen, heal skill, signet effect and trait effect that could affect pets. This doesn’t make the pet more tanky, it’s just an illusion.
What’s needed is a flat damage reduction like Bark skin. This trait exist so the technology is here. I don’t even understand why the pet also have an health treshold for this trait. It’s not like this would make the ranger overpowered in PvP to grant perma 50% damage reduction to the pet while traited.
False. They claim 150 vitality has ben added, but they added nothing, there was a post about it how they tricked ups, and they did nothing about it. Plus, what is 150 vitality? 1500 vitality if traited for it.. and this is equal to 1 stack of fire…
Lets need 1500 more vitality, minimum pet health should be 25k.
What people currently do, is just put conditions on pets, make pet die in less then 2 sec, then just look how hopless ranger is with 60 sec cooldown on pet swap..
I see a lot of topics that Ranger is bad right now. I’d like to see some video proof of people getting wrecked. If not, I take it that this is talk as usual.
Go on T1 server for example Gandara:
- shatter mesmer gank 1 combo me
- d/d ele full zerk 1 combo (under 3 sec kill)
- thief d/p , 2 combo( 5 sec kill)
Running Dire, 3,1k armor, 26k HP.
I can go Longbow power build, but i think i’m bored of running single build for 3 years, maybe tweak around some stats and some weapons, but core stays the same. Ranger has literally 2 viable builds, none of them can deal with them as counter to some of classes that i’ll count below.
It’s not only ranger problem, it’s problem of other classes. Ranger is not bad, there are just some broken things in game that they don’t want to balance to normal. If this stays so, all we will see in future is Mesmer, Thief and D/Ds.
