Just go ahead and contact Support by filing a ticket through the “Ask a Question” tab on that linked page. They will be able to assist you if you tell them you’re providing two codes and one is related to the account in question.
For tips on what information to provide in a ticket — mostly intended for security reasons to establish that you own the account — please read this post and provide as many suggested details as possible to expedite the ticket.

is there anything i can do to unsuspend it
You used an unacceptable name. It was censored and you did not serve any suspension time. You came back and tried a variation of the same name. That was a poor choice, and that resulted in your second violation in 2 days and a required 3-day suspension.
In the future, please choose with more discretion and wisdom.
Hmmm. Since you are making art from what you see, not using say prints of Guild Wars 2 art and selling it as though you owned it, pretty sure that’s legal. Surely a company doesn’t have rights to art you make, that would mean that people would be prohibited from taking pictures of coke bottles for example and selling them.
For example: Andy Warhol made art of Campbell soup cans.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Campbell's_Soup_CansAnd here, people have WoW based art.
http://us.blizzard.com/en-us/community/fanart/
Let’s be clear. Copyrights are a very serious matter and saying “you’re selling what you see” isn’t the way that copyright infringement is determined. For instance, I can’t “see” Star Wars and then start selling my own action figures based on Han and Darth. And please note that we host a Fan-Generated Content Froum where this sort of project can be offered for view.
The question is about selling work based on our intellectual property. Please wait for a more formal answer to your question, duckgirl, and thank you for asking. (In the interim, I will lock this thread.)

Hello there! I hope this is the correct place to post, but earlier this evening I bought a character slot for 800 gems. Then I was kicking myself because a few hours later, character slots were on sale for 20% off! Noooo! Is it possible to have the discounted price? I didn’t think there would be harm in asking. Thanks in advance
Just contact Support and I believe they can take care of this because it is just a few hours before the sale price. Not a week, not a few days after the sale ends, but in this case… perhaps. Do drop them a ticket.
im trying to buy gems online and everytime i try to buy them it tells me my information is wrong when in fact it is right it does it when i try through paypal. i put in the same info on other games and it works fine.
Hey there, just checking: Did this get sorted for you? If not, please contact Support by filing a ticket through the “Ask a Question” tab on that linked page. They will be able to assist you.
If the miniature Rytlock is truly missing and you have checked all the characters and inventory, and have not deleted a char that may have been holding the mini, I would suggest you contact Support by filing a ticket through the “Ask a Question” tab on that linked page. They should be able to assist you.

If you receive emails NOT on this list, feel free to post them and I’ll add them to this thread. Thank you.
The ticket is 28 hours old. Normally, you would have received a formal response, but there are quite a few appeals and they take time to answer because of all the investigations that are conducted on each one.
The account was closed for the use of a disallowed third-party program that involves cheating. Your ticket will be reviewed and assessed, but it’s not likely that the account will be reinstated because the evidence is very concrete.
BTW, we have seen time and time again that someone’s accomplishments in the game do not point away from the likelihood that they will cheat. Of course, the greater the accomplishments on the account the greater the loss will be when it is detected cheating so you would think those who invest a lot in the game would be especially careful to avoid anything even close to a cheat. But I’ve seen people with SO much to lose getting caught up in cheating. They do it thinking they’ll get the extra edge or a special advantage or help in finishing a difficult quest when, in fact, they simply end up with a ban. It’s very sad.
I went ahead and contacted GW1 support. I suppose only they can give me a decisive answer.
Thanks, Mimir. They will help you get things sorted.
Thanks, you guys. I misspoke earlier, and I will edit my comment above in case I’m quoted in the future. The name is reserved for your account for 24 hours. Somehow I thought this was naming a character on a player’s second account, so in that case you would need to wait the 24 hours for the name to “free up.” But in the case of renaming on the same account you’re good in under 24 hours, after which the name becomes publicly available.
Thanks again for the clarification; I appreciate it.
I have changed one of my characters names using a name change contract and a name that I had deleted on another character:
I “stored” a character (let’s call this Character A) with a name that I wanted for my main(Character B ).
I then deleted Character A – then used a name change contract on Character B using the name from Character A.I did this all in the space of 5 minutes….I didn’t encounter any issues.
This process is the way to rename character using a “placeholder” character and the Name Change Contract available in the Gem Store.
(edited by Gaile Gray.6029)
It would be nice however if there was a method to change it tough.
There is currently a guild on my server with name that could be seen as offensive for some (I’m not in it). In the future, I am sure they will be reported for it.
If that happens, the guild gets terminated, and they have to start a new one from scratch.
And yeah, I know they should have chose a more appropriate name to begin with, but losing a whole guild could easily cause many players to just leave the game (as their combined efforts have gone to waste).Tl;dr: I do hope that guild name change will be implemented soon.
We will rename an offensively-named guild. Except in extreme cases, they are not disbanded these days.

I want to change my main character’s name to the name of another character I have. I could delete the character whose name I want to use, then buy a name change for the character I want that name on. My question is would the name of the character that I delete be immediately available for use?
The name will be available to you for 24 hours after you delete the character, as long as you’re speaking about characters on the same account. I suggest you don’t delay, because after 24 hours the name is available to anyone and acting promptly will prevent the name from being chosen by someone else. That’s not likely, but best to act promptly.

Thank you.
Excuse me, I overlooked the mail.
Glad things are ok now.
Yea that’s what Im not sure about? This really sucks! Do they think I was a bot because I have recently started hard farming in a quest for incinerator or what?
I got this ban today, I haven’t even played the game for about a week. Logged on to find I’ve been banned for tampering with the game WTH… I go to support to put in a ticket but the support site will not let me login I keep getting a generic “something went wrong message” This is ridiculous!!….
So I’ve been banned even though I haven’t played for days and then cannot file a complaint.. Help me this is really aggravating ……….
Thought the game was fun been playing it went to work came home account has been terminated…. I need to get back on so i can play with my friend who just bought the game can someone help me?
Let us know the outcome, had mine terminated as i was playing today. not sure if its happening to alot of people since the update.
Hopefully it’s just a mistake for both our sakes if you’re not involved with the offenses mercury has listed.
Im in the same situation as you are. I came home from being away for 2 weeks, try to log on and bam…. account has been terminated. I put a ticket in so hopefully this gets taken care of. Dont really know what the issue could be.
Each and every one of these accounts was involved in the use of a third-party program to cheat. It has been our policy since the day we released — in fact, since the first beta — to terminate accounts involved in cheating. If you honestly feel that you were not involved in cheating, you are welcome to submit a ticket to discuss the matter with the Support Team.
same here just got my account terminated all i can say is maybe they log what i do this last few weeks and i just run , jump and it looks like a bot but since i’m bored in the game and just chatting with my guild mates in-game and in vent dunno i hope this got lifted asap
No, it won’t be. The same information above applies to your case. You will not be reinstated because you chose to use a cheat.
I am actually quite worried, it seems i am in the same boat as the OP of the below post link, except that i don’t think iv’e been hacked. could still log in fine until i got booted with a blocked message flashing on my screen whilst running event chains in Orr.
https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/support/account/Why-was-I-banned/first#post2160630
I also play with a Razer Naga, yet i’ve gone though the code of conduct and can’t see how this is modifying/tampering with the game to a devestating extent that undermines the GW2 community.
It actually makes me angry reading the above linked post because i know i have done nothing wrong myself, yet Anet seem adamant of terminating this guys account, when i too myself have 3 lvl 80s (no legendarys yet), but still alot of time and effort invested to tamper/modify the game. And tbh, wouldn’t have the first clue how to, nor have witnessed in game a ‘Tamperer’. I mean, i used to hear about people in WvW chat on ppl teleporting into bases without a mesmer, but never saw it myself.
I am intrigued though to what i was doing that was justifiable of a permanent ban. Unless it was the huge amount of item traffic on the TP, i buy cheap items and flip for a profit and run chain events while i wait for items to buy/sell. But i learnt that through a reputable guide site and thought this method was common knowledge and only tapping into the in game economy and not modifying the game to generate my own gold.
There was something else unusual, which was an invisible Risen mob i often tab targeted to, but thats how i play, constantly tabbing to tag multiple enemies for loot, other than that, im out of ideas on how i got a permanent ban.
I have never cheated in a game since a button code in Black ops 1 on xbox.
The account termination has nothing whatsoever to do with the use of a certain mouse.
It has nothing to do with your buy-and-sell patterns.
It has nothing to do with your choice of mobs.
Your account was terminated for using a third-party cheat program and the evidence of its use is monumental and irrefutable.
The forum is not the place to come to discuss your account termination, nor to argue with policy, nor to argue with a specific decision. You’ve discussed this with Support and now you’ve received the same answer here. If you decide to buy a new account and play Guild Wars 2 in the future, avoid all cheating and exploiting and you’ll be fine.
Follow the advice above to see if you can retrieve your password from your computer. Otherwise, the team will help you very promptly, so feel free to contact Support by filing a ticket through the “Ask a Question” tab on that linked page.

Let’s be clear:
And “care” is relevant here. Please care about the community enough to use acceptable names. Please care about your fellow players — from all walks of life, different countries, cultures, ages, and genders — to use care in selecting a name.
can’t buy gem with visa
the game said it was approval faied
why?
Hey there, doraemon,
I think what’s happened here is that you’ve made a number of purchases (thank you!) and the system is set to put a cap on XX purchases in Y period of time. I believe you may have gone through the “purchase white-listing” process before, but for others who wonder, the “cap on purchases” helps protect people who may have a child in the home making unauthorized purchases, a stolen credit card, that sort of thing. This pause is not an indication that someone is a fraudster!
Soooo… what you do is contact Support. I think you’d done this before so you know these situations normally get resolved very quickly. Anyone who comes across this should please drop Support a line by filing a ticket through the “Ask a Question” tab on that linked page.
thank you gaile!
Happy to help. Just remember, especially for names and chat: Choose wisely.
Bought the game today, only to find out about how the system works with full servers and creating characters. If I was playing by myself I’d just roll on a lower pop server, but I have a friend I want to play with (Who also plays with other friends) so I have to be on Jade Quarry.
Is it a real “24/7 full” thing, or is there commonly space available at odd hours?
If you delete all your characters, you can move for free and be with your friend. There is a limit of one move per 7 days, so keep that in mind. And yes, if the world is full, you need to try at different times of the day and I bet you’re there quite soon.
Welcome to the game!
I was having exactly the same problem and was about to submit a ticket when I saw this post. I also couldn’t log in with my account name, but once I used my e-mail address, problem solved.
BTW, I’ve tried Star Wars: The Old Republic, The Secret World, Star Trek Online, Neverwinter, and EVE, and GW2 blows them away. Best mmo ever.
Glad you’re logged in now. And thanks for the generous words. We love the game, too, and your thoughts are warmly appreciated!

I’m not sure where this should go exactly, but since the support staff has been super helpful in returning my account back to me I just wanted to say thank you to all the people that have been helping me.
Big thanks to GM Draghna, GM Little, GM Taroz, and GM Aella. If you guys are ever in Albany, OR I will definitely treat ya’ll to some free drinks.
Thanks very much again!

I’m so glad that the team could help you. Thanks for the kind words — I’ll make sure they see them.
Recently got a suspension for a character name and I believe ANET was nice enough to take it off before 72 hours, and I changed it into a more suitable name. However, I got another suspension because of an offensive name again. I’m sure it’s for another character. I agree, couple of the name(s) were immature and violate policy (which I failed to read before hand). But my main concern is how many times will I be suspended? I’ve already submitted a ticket but came to the forums to possibly get some insight if there is a way to change all the name(s) that are in violation.
Thank you!
You had three others that were offensive. Some more than others, but all were not acceptable. They have been flagged for renaming and you will be required to rename each flagged character before accessing it.
Obviously, you’ll need to do this after your suspension expires.
Please ask him to contact Support by filing a ticket through the “Ask a Question” tab on that linked page. They should be able to assist him.
They will need information to establish that the account belongs to him. For tips on what information to provide in a ticket — mostly intended for security reasons to establish that you own the account — please read this post and provide as many suggested details as possible to expedite the ticket.
If nothing else, you can always post your character names here and let people tell you if they think it breaks TOS. ^^
No thanks. When you guys know I answer these threads, let’s not be inviting someone to post possibly-offensive names for a “community review.”
You should be able to use the new serial code with a new email address, that is, to create a completely new account. your issue is related to trying to reopen a closed-for-refund account. You may not, as I’ve explained, link to the old email address / log-in name or link to a Guild Wars account previously linked to the refunded account.
Here’s the situation: I’ve been getting weird messages supposedly from ArenaNet with the content in [LINK REDACTED] I thought it could be some kind of phishing attempt, since after the first time I followed the mail’s link and input my information, I couldn’t log into the game with it.
But the thing is, I’ve been getting them from time to time and today, I decided to use an online link scanner and it gave me [LINK REDACTED] these results. I’m now in a situation in which I don’t understand what I should do in fear it’s a really elaborate phishing scheme, because the message doesn’t quite elaborate on the problem.
What you received is a phishing emails. Searching this forum for “email” or looking for “phishing” would have answered your question.
With all due respect, putting up images about phishing emails on an external site is a very bad thing to do. I have redacted those links, and ask others who want to post images to do so on this forum, because I’m not at all comfortable having people blindly follow a link to an external site. That is just a very bad thing indeed.
Thanks for understanding.

From Gaile Gray, another thread:
“Be aware that if one gets a refund, the account is permanently closed AND the credit card associated with it is disabled and may not be used in the future in any purchases related to Guild Wars or Guild Wars 2 (or any other NCsoft game). This means that it may not be possible to simply get a refund and start a new account”.
Thank you. That is correct.
A refund can not be undone. So the account you had is lost forever. To see what else can be done for you, you should contact support.
No. Nothing can be done to reverse this situation and suggesting that someone contact support is pointless (and a waste of resources). The account and related credit cards are not accepted in the future, for what I hope are obvious reasons. A refund is permanent and irreversible, and we communicate that before we process the request.
This issue is owned by the person who requests/asks for/demands a refund, and no one else. Those who chose to come back to the game may do so on a new account, but we are not able to relink a GW account to a new GW2 account, nor re-enable the first GW2 account.
I already made a ticket it won’t hurt trying another way of support. I’ve bought this game before it went live and after a couple of months i asked for a refund and got it. Now i’m trying to get back on it: i bought another serial and linked it to my old account. Buuuut i can’t log into the game, i get an error message saying my account was closed in order to fulfill a request for a refund and i can’t use the new serial to create an account.
Please help me. Thanks.
I am confident that you were answered accurately in your ticket. The results of the refund mean the account is permanently disabled, as you chose it to be. You are welcome to play on your new account, but we will not re-enable the old one, nor relink a GW account to the new account.
(edited by Gaile Gray.6029)
i recently had my account banned for 72 hours due to an unacceptable name. when my account was unbanned i changed the name of a character that was flagged as inappropriate, but my account got banned again for the same issue. im not sure what char it is until i get the ban removed. i wish when my account was banned the first time that i would have gotten an email notifying me of what char’s name was inappropriate and if there was another char with an inappropriate name it too could have been resolved. is there anybody who has had this happen before and how do i fix this so it never happens again. i am perfectly fine with changing my chars names if i know which ones they are and why it was banned.
thank you all i love the game!
You had your warning in May, when you chose an obviously-offensive name and were required to change it with no suspension. Now, you’ve chosen another offensive name AND have been noted as using an offensive display name. You will remain suspended this time. No, we won’t send a warning email — that warning was given with the first required name-change and should not have been necessary, since the Naming Policy clearly states our requirements for game names.
We’re not going to spend tim ein emailed debates about whether “ThisReallyOffensiveGameName” is …. really offensive. I’d warrant that 99% of the people who use rude names know they’re doing it, and the other 1% would be covered by the first-time forgiveness.
Be advised that continue breach of the Naming Policy will result in extended time-outs and, ultimately, in account termination.

Hello Everybody. I been having a hard time figuring how to change my guild name. I Wrote 4 Support tickets to have my guild name change and no Answers. If theres is a way for a MOD to help me do this it would be fantastic. I know there is a way to change a guild name b/c it’s a common idea. It would be Great to settle this problem Quickly.
Thank you for reading.
First, please never submit duplicate support tickets. One ticket will get you the answer you need, and submitting duplicates means that other player are not getting the help they deserve because the system is clogged with repetitious and already-answered tickets.
We do not offer a guild-name change service at this time. I have suggested that — like character name changes — this may be something we offer through the Gem Store in the future. However, I do not know whether that will be added or not and again, this is not a service that we offer through Support.
Really? A little bit of cursing here and there is a 72 hour ban? Seems a little overly harsh. From what I remember in other games policies it was more like warning, then 12 hour, then 24, then 48, then 72, then a week, then they start talking about perma bans. Everyone who legally plays this game signs a TOS stating they are 18 or older, seems a little ridiculous to have such harsh policies.
First, you were not banned. You were suspended. And this came about because you use very offensive language many times. Language that even those who are “18 and older” find unacceptable, and which is disallowed by our policies.
Secondly, you may be thinking of another game, but we do not issue “warnings,” nor do we have 12-hour suspensions. Over the years, we have found such short-term suspensions to be of little to no value, so we instituted the 72-hour suspension as the first level.
Your account was terminated for using a third-party cheat program. Repeatedly. Your account was not hacked — we check for that. The account termination will not be reversed.
Review complete.
No worries, and I’m sorry you’re having difficulties! Please contact Support by filing a ticket through the “Ask a Question” tab on that linked page. They will be able to assist you.
For tips on what information to provide in a ticket — mostly intended for security reasons to establish that you own the account — please read this post and provide as many suggested details as possible to expedite the ticket.
If you have E-mail or Two-Factor Authentication in place, you will be asked to validate your new locations. If you do not have authentication in place, you will most likely be able to log in without any delays. And when I say “delays” I want to point out that the delay is a good thing, in that is helps you secure your account from intrusion by others.
Contacting Support in advance of your trip would not be helpful in this situation, but the team remains available if you need assistance on your journey.
I hope that your father’s help improves and that you have a pleasant visit with him.

To my knowledge there has never been an unexplained server transfers, that is, an in-game issue that transfers someone without player prompting. Far more likely — although you may not have seen the effects yet — is that your account has been compromised and it just has not been stripped yet. I agree that checking your authorized networks is a good idea. Further, check your inventory, as sometimes a hacked account is used for holding stolen goods and you may find you ahve more than you expected.
Feel free to contact Support by filing a ticket through the “Ask a Question” tab on that linked page. They will be happy to help you.
I agree with Gaile. The other issue is if an account is compromised, they may be simply keeping it in their “stable” of accounts and have just not got around to using it yet.
I had the displeasure of speaking to a game hacker several years ago. He told me he would gain access to a dozen or so accounts and keep them in reserve, only accessing them when needed to replace an account that got banned.
That is precisely what I meant when I mentioned that possibly the account was compromised but that compromise is not yet visible to the account owner. Hackers do gather their ill-gotten goods whenever they can, and then use them as “needed.”
Really, the best way to figure out if Support can help her is for her to contact Support by filing a ticket through the “Ask a Question” tab on that linked page. The team will kitten each situation and render whatever assistance is possible.
For tips on what information to provide in a ticket — mostly intended for security reasons to establish that you own the account — please read this post and provide as many suggested details as possible to expedite the ticket.
We are unable to help with this, sorry.
For just one reason, if someone gets this gift and spend or uses the items, how would we reverse the process? Take away his crafted item? Put him into the negative for spent gold? It’s simply not possible for us to offer this service.
I have no idea why that is written so oddly, but I thank you for the report and I will be sure that this agent is counseled by his/her manager about the poorly-written response.
In regards to your question, you will not be able to link your Guild Wars account to your Guild Wars 2 account because your Guild Wars account was terminated. I believe this was clearly explained in the ticket, so I’ll assume you understand the outcome of your inquiry.
I will ask about that “reverse action” button. However, I’m sure if we did add the feature it would be quite a bit down the priority list.
Please be aware: Reports are reviewed by a human being, and no account would be actioned based on a mistaken (or even a real) report. It would be more time-consuming to get a ticket saying “Please ignore that report” than to simply have confidence that the occasional error will be ignored and that the player who was mistakenly flagged will not suffer any ill consequences.
My internet is really odd, every time it disconnects I get given a new IP, so every time I relog into the game after it crashing I have to allow another IP. I have had 20+ of these confirmation emails. I tried to log on today and I got the message saying ‘email sent’ so my password hasn’t changed. I waited for 1 hour+ and still no reply. I logged in to my account and managed to click ‘disable email verification’ and I get an error. I looked at my allowed IP’s they all matched the IP’s that I had allowed through hotmail. But there was another one and under ‘IP’ it said ‘5.0.0.1-5.225.225.225’ whichs means that every IP is allowed, wtf?
Is the E-Mail system broke or is it my account? I only got this game a week or so ago and I love it, but this has took a proverbial dump on my night.
Did you check your Junk/Spam folder? I know you got other emails, but maybe this one was misdirected for some reason.
In the meantime, I would really appreciate if you would file a support ticket through the “Ask a Question” button on the Support page (linked at the top of this page). I want the team to look at things and see what’s up.
In a general sense, I will check into this, too. Thanks for the report.
