Fixed with latest build that came out few minutes ago. Thank you I’m so happy.
I’m glad things sorted out for you. Thank you for letting us know — it really helps when we hear back from players who were experiencing issues.
If someone continues to have issues, I’d suggest he or she submit a ticket to work directly with our Support Team on resolving that problem.
Ilvllozzie — I understand your comments, although obviously you’re going for just a shade of hyperbole there.
If you will look at the merged content, many of the threads contained the the same sort of comments. It makes sense to put them under the same umbrella. How many single “My opinion about the finale” threads are sustainable? Interesting? Read by anyone but a handful of people? And how many “spoiler” threads do we need about a particular sub-subject, like “this bad guy” or “that shadowy image?”
By keeping this thread on the front page we encourage and sustain a lively discussion in the one thread instead of having it fractured across multiple, redundant, singular threads.
We’ll keep a careful eye on the threads that are merged and try to do so with delicacy. But we really hope to build synergy and continued, expanded discussion in this thread most of all.
Thanks for your comments! (And we don’t need to merge into a thread flagged “spoiler” because you gracefully avoided those. I’ll be sure to pass along your comments.
Hey all,
We just merged several threads into this big one, as that keeps the conversation flowing and prevents redundancy.
Thanks for understanding and keep your comments coming!
Kreejaffa — cookies of your choice, but those cute star cookies in the game look suspiciously like chocolate chip, which is a personal fave.
Randulf — yes, of course. ~rolls eyes~
A note to all: If you forget to flag your thread with the “spoiler” tag, you can go into your post and “Edit Topic” to add it.
Same, it was interesting…only thing I have to say is thank grenth for deathshroud!
You don’t see too many posts where someone thanks Grenth for anything, really. Oh wait, maybe that’s Dhuum…
I’ve been keeping an eagle eye on these forums today, because I think Season 2 and especially Episode 8 is so compelling and it’s important that no one get hit with an unflagged spoiler.
You guys have been really good about putting [SPOILER] in your subject line or in using the “spoiler hidden text” within a post. (If you want know how to do that, it’s pretty easy, Just click the red “Hints” immediately above the input box for a post, then click View More to get the steps to insert spoilers into a post.)
Anyway, just a big thank you and a high five for keeping the discussion properly flagged. I vote cookies for all!! And not those nasty Internet-y ones, either.
I didn’t get a screenshot, but I was shocked when the camera pulled back to reveal Chauncey Von Snuffles cleaning his paws at the scene of the crime. HE KNEW ALL ALONG.
Cleaning his paws?!
What did he know, and when did he know it?
Super nice to see your comments, everyone. Thanks for posting.
Fortus, if a forum member obliges with a synopsis, please edit your subject to include [SPOILERS] in the title.
But really, you may find what you’re seeking by visiting our official Wiki on this link: http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Main_Page
Yes, I believed that this thread was based on a request to completely reset the Order, not move to a different storyline. There’s a difference, right? As Ic points out, there’s an incompleteness to the “work around” that doesn’t accomplish what I believed the OP was requesting.
Ah, I thought it did. My bad.
No worries, Palador. Sharing the info was just fine because it may meet the OP’s objectives. I’m not sure, but helpful posts are always appreciated!
Quite a few threads have popped up about the Carapace Coat box. It would be ok to leave them separate except that whether they start as a suggestion or feedback, they all seem to end up discussing drop rates.
We’re merging four threads. We’ll try to remove a few redundancies, but if you have posted similar comments in multiple threads please consider removing your duplicate comments in this thread.
The reason for merging is clear: The devs will be more likely to review your suggestions and general feedback with one focused thread rather than multiple redundant threads.
Thanks for understanding.

I think it might be confusing to call someone “Commander” when there is the Commander rank in the game. It seems that the team chose more generic terms to avoid confusion with actual game-achieved attainments.
Great storytelling, y’all. Thanks for sharing.
Details would be very helpful, please! Alternately, are you filing an in-game bug report?
In all, a dang good job. Have one on me.
Hey, thanks!
We cannot make changes to the order that you have selected. I agree with Pecar — character recreation is the way to go.
If you’d like to see the in-game video again, visit the NPC near the entrance to Camp Resolve. He will let you rewatch the final cinematics if you’ve completed the episode.
Gaile (or anyone reading the forums, really), please, give my most honest praise to whoever is responsible for the final animatic of this update (the thing with January 24 at the end, no further details for spoilers, as this is an unmarked thread). I’ve had a sort of a gripe with the new animation style (as I enjoeyed the “cardboard cutout theatre” you’ve decided to abandon quite some time ago), but this (and the similarily impressive and stylized Fractal trailer about a year ago) goes right into my library favorites. Thank you for that and I hope we see more of this style in the future.
So glad you liked it, Changer! I agree — it’s powerful, wonderful stuff.
I am sooooooooooooooo amazed of this episode! This is the GW2 I enjoy playing! It was sooo fun to play through the episodes! Those cutscenes, story, lore was sooo amazing! I am sooo thankful for all the great work this game has done and I am really looking forward to the future of this amazing MMORPG GW!
Thanks!
That’s a lotta “o’s” there, but I hear you loud and clear.
(And as Bobby said, we’ll be passing along the feedback to the whole team! )

We had a few issues a couple of hours ago, but those were resolved. At this point, you may want to post in the Technical Support subforum to see if there are tips about how to resolve this.
That’s an interesting question, colanah. I will see if a team member can look into the possibilities you mention.
So sorry for this inconvenience. Thanks to our server and network teams, it was short lived, and we appreciate your patience.
Thanks a lot for all your positive comments. It’s true the CS Team is very busy right now, and there can be a wait for help with some situations, especially the most delicate (such as account retrievals and restorations).
I’ll be sure the team sees your thoughts!
I have to admit I was intrigued by the wording, something about being the most “extreme” yet.
We don’t announce release times in advance, but historically it’s true that most have happened in the morning (Pacific time). The reasoning behind that is to allow the maximum number of developers (programmers, server team, network team, designers, etc.) to be available to monitor any situations that may arise. As you noted, a short-term issue did arise today, and because of the timeframe of the release, we had all hands on deck to correct the problem quite quickly.
And, as others pointed out, releasing on “off hours” in North America makes it “primetime” somewhere else.

I wanted to clarify why this was unstickied. First, the thread was started about 15 months ago. Second, it was specifically about skill lag, but the thread attracted all sorts of unrelated latency issues, related to a problematic ISP, a temporary data center outage, a problem with a regional Internet backbone. In addition, the subjects ranged from a one-time 20 minute latency issue to something that has been going on for a long while.
Perhaps most importantly, this is a general discussion forum and the subject is much more appropriate for the Support Forums, as Feirlista and others have stated. In the Support Forums, our devs can track the issue, as they have in the posts below.
So please rest assured we’re not trying bury this discussion but are trying to get it where it will do the most good. Thanks for understanding.
Thank you, Nosis Tarunda, for posting that information and for finding several threads that could be merged so that everyone gets this valuable tip.
First, please don’t bump threads, Death.
Secondly, there isn’t an update on this right now. There are details in earlier posts (with the red flag) but, with regret, there isn’t any new information to share right now. I’ll check with the team to see if they have anything additional to add, but I don’t believe this has bubbled up to be at the top of the list quite yet.
Oh you guys, buck up!
We don’t get a lot of snow in Bellevue, so I’m a huge fan of the snowy regions. I have to admit, though, that some evenings I’m wearing socks and slippers to keep my feet warm, and the images from Frostgorge Sound sure don’t help. Brrrrrr!
Merging several more threads into this one. Please, let’s contain all the commentary about mounts in one single thread. Thanks.
~snip~
We’re getting dueling mounts.
Shhhhhhhhh….
Heh, the situation is irritating… not you.
So, no boulders your direction.
Major thumbs up. (And I can take off this heavy armor, which is so unsuited for my class. )
I totally understand the skepticism that you’re expressing. It has been a long time. But I know and trust the team, and I’ve heard enough details of the plans to give me confidence that progress and improvements are actively being made.
And thanks, from me to you, for not being nasty about it, or throwing a golem-sized boulder in my direction. I know that what I posted isn’t the substantive information you’d like to have. I can say that from all I hear it shouldn’t betoo long before there is some info we can share. I’m not saying “this week” but I’m definitely not pointing at Q2 2015!
Hey there,
Colin Johanson and I had a chat about this thread today. He actually brought it up because he wanted to make sure that forum members know that the dev team is very aware of the concerns that our players feel about traits, and also to let you know that the devs read and refer to this subject (and particularly this thread) quite frequently. We’ve said it before, but it remains true: Your voices are being heard and your input is valued.
We wish there was more to say today, but please take heart that this subject is part of current development team discussions and we’ll let you know more as soon as we reasonably can do so.
Hey Godric — you may notice I changed your subject line. I did that because I think the format and the question will be more easily seen from the Black Lion Trading Company team, and I know you’d like to see that item return.
Come to think of it, I’m probably going to get it. too!
Hey Bernie,
First, you’re right. There’s a definite difference between a down-leveled/downscaled character at, say, lvl15 and a natural lvl15. Point well taken. I did want to mention the downscaling, though, in case a new player reading this didn’t know about that feature.
And I’m really glad you agree that we’re takin’ care of business in relation to chat issues. We really want the Guild Wars 2 world to be a pleasant place for everyone, so we have reporting systems and agents in place to do our best to make that happen.
I took the liberty of updating the wiki to now say:
- If the player tries to teleport to a full map, the player will be unable to do so but the item will still be used (effectively wasting the item).
Hopefully that’s a little more clear. :-)
I think that definitely is more clear, MD. Thanks for doing that.
I see two concerns: The player who cleared the area and the offensive language. The first isn’t as big a deal as it might appear, or as it might be in other games. This is because the Level 80 is “down-leveled” to a level appropriate for the area. So s/he isn’t operating at true Level 80 powerfulness.
The second issue is language, and it sounds like here, your reports were exactly right. We have team members watching reports 24/7/365. I’ve seen people disappear from the game in a matter of minutes due to a report, because the agents read the report, read the chat strings (that are sent to them with the report automatically) and they can take action very quickly. That’s not to promise that every report will be answered in minutes, and it’s not a statement that if a report is not acted upon in minutes it won’t be acted upon at all. But overall, things can move very quickly if you make an in-game report.
I’m sorry you had this experience, and hope all your future gaming sessions are great!
erndan — I’m sorry to hear about the health challenges you’re dealing with, and I do understand your input about the new daily system. I respect that you are not stating an opinion about the outcome or the rewards, but solely about your ability to do the dailies on a regular basis in any form. (I also like that players have made constructive suggestions that may aid the situation for you.)
I am going to share your feedback when I update update the overall report I sent to the development team prior to the holidays. Yours is an unusual case, but I think your comments are relevant to the discussion.
I wish you all the best for a very speedy and full recovery!
Oh yes, this is a very well-known pair, a friendship for the ages!
Hey all,
Cody Crichton, whom you’ve seen post in our forums, pointed out that we need to be sure to preserve each of these pieces of sheet music. I agree so much!
What I want to ask is that you please make sure that you retain a copy of your own work on your own computer. Then, when the archives are reduced we’ll be able to reconstruct this thread with a new thread that contains links to the contributions of each of our creative musicians.
Links to the existing threads are great for now, but they’ll become “dead links” when we remove the archives.
So make sure you have your music saved, and when the archive reduction takes place, we can rebuild this thread to its current and even growing glory!
Thanks!

Here’s a suggestion — which I initially gave info on clearing one’s browser cache, and we’d like to suggest clearing your Guild Wars 2 cache.
The quickest way to clear the GW2 Cache is to:
Here’s a thread from some time ago that may give you additional info:

(Thanks to Anet QA Team member Matt Porter for relaying the helpful info forum member StinVec posted back a while ago. And thanks again to StinVec. )

The team is looking into this. We’re sorry for the inconvenience, and hope to have a resolution real soon!
Thanks for that link, Ic. I did pass it along, too.
You Can report them….Report for Verbal abuse…and be done with it.They will read the chatlogs and he will get a bann for being this stupid.
Exactly. We received a complaint about closing this thread, but doesn’t any experienced player know how this works? And doesn’t this post sum it up? You report in the game and the chat logs automatically are sent with your report to an agent who will take action if the infraction is proved.
In cases where you are reporting and you feel that nothing is happening — and remember that your assessment may be inaccurate — you’re welcome to submit a report by clicking “Support” at the top of this page and then clicking the “Submit a request” option. Provide as much information as possible in the web form, which will create a ticket within the support system. If you do not know some of the information requested, leave the field blank. However, there are two drop-down areas that require an answer so be sure to choose from those fields so the ticket is properly submitted. Once you’ve done that, the CS Team should be able to review your concerns.
What you should include:
To restore faith: answer in the thread that the person has been banned. Simple.
No. We will not encourage public “naming and shaming” through our forums. And we do not want screenshots of the sort of chat that was removed from this post! Nor would it be realistic or appropriate to use the forums to dutifully report back with a full outline of CS actions.
The reason for these decisions: Reports of chat violations, “trolling,” and other verbal abuse can instantly turn into a “he said/she said” situation, and will support any level of player-to-player griefing that you can imagine. Fake screenshots, false accusations, all-guild reports for nothing — all of this can be avoided with an in-game report that will be reviewed for chat violations.
The accusation is trolling, right? And trolling is a chat violation. So use the system to report.
(edited by Gaile Gray.6029)
I’m looking into this. By chance, have you reported in the game? If you click the upper left “gear” icon, and then Support, then “Report a Bug” the team will receive a report that gives details that help them nail down what’s going on. In-game reports are really helpful, so if you have a chance, please make one on this issue so the team has the greater details they can use to investigate.
Thanks.
Top of my list: Dreamer. I <3 that bow! (And The Lover isn’t bad, either. )
Hey there, Matrh. I edited your subject line to include [Suggestion] because that makes player ideas more eye-catching for the devs. Hope that’s ok with you.
- I suggest the name be changed to something else more informal sounding, something dull and innocuous.
- Again I suggest you take out the part where they can flag posts.
With all due respect, the document is not subject to input or revision. What we do with the program is something we can discuss, but the document as present in News and Announcements stands, as it has been reviewed by Legal and accepted by the company directors.
munkiman — the forums need work, no doubt about it. We’re actively reviewing our options in relation to software. That does not eliminate the option of offering this program, however, as functionality is a different topic than a volunteer program.
To the point of “weighting” reports, I’m not saying that they will not be viewed with greater attention. I am saying they will not be acted upon solely because a volunteer specialist submitted a report. Each and every report must be reviewed impartially and not be acted upon simply because a forum member — not matter his/her great value to the community — told us to take action.
I see the reports. I do not always look at the name of the person reporting, but there are times when I do and I go into the report with some sort of notion in my mind. It might be “This person has reported forum members for two months and we’ve never upheld the reports.” It could be, “This is a respected forum member and I imagine the report is solid.” I agree with you — it would probably be impossible to not have some idea in mind. What I am saying is that preconceived notions of value (or lack of value) cannot drive the decision.
There are times with a sterling forum member gets a bee in his/her bonnet and reports without reason. There are times when a forum member is reported for something that is completely fine.
