Why is Anet nerfing every single farming location that players find?
Diminishing Returns, Lodestone/Loot drop rateWTF Anet?
Why are you discouraging people from playing your game so much?
And please before people bring out the old “GW2 is built for casual players”
it that was the intent its a dumb intent, if GW2 is to survive it has to cater somewhat to hardcore MMO players, I love the revamped combat etc. but I want to have legendaries be possible to obtain…
i’ve farmed for 3 months solid now and still have all my t6 mats and precursor to go in addition to 100 onyx lodestones, 200+ oricalcum ore and about 170 ectos…
You are nerfing farming locations why?You say that you didn’t expect people to get legendaries so fast?
how does that make sense? if people love a game and something in the game they will spend hours to obtain it I don’t understand why you want to slow down people from getting legendaries…
It was hard enough after plinx karma chain got nerfed and then the nightmare of Diminishing Returns occurred, but you just keep nerfing things? Why?
Nerfing things is not a fix all solution and catering solely to casual gamers will not work out for you…
also don’t pull the “just play the game and have fun” what if I find grinding fun?
I like to grind if its achievable because if I grind I feel like I accomplished something at least in this game, then the nerf’s happened…If its not reversed soon me and your player population will leave, heck you’ve already lost a lot of your player base
1. A.net rather has a thousand casuals paying gems, than 1 hardcore who wants to farm. That’s a cold hard business fact. Has nothing to do with farming nerfs though, but rather to make casual a viable way to play the game. A game can never cater to hardcore and casuals at the same time, it’s impossible.
2. Grind by definition is not fun. It is not possible to have fun while grinding, because grinding simply isn’t fun by definition. If you like to farm, you’ll have to use other words to describe the activity others perceive as grind.
I grind and have fun doing it.. I farm and have fun doing it. The grind is self imposed, but I enjoy it. I dislike dungeons, not much of a pvper, and don’t like spamming events with my alts for chests. So I farm, and I don’t feel neglected or hated by Arenanet for doing so, well at least not until I ran into the wraith…
Are you trying to tell me that these toggles are harder to create than new content? If the only part of my post you can focus on is the fact I called it easy, when comparing it to the hundreds of other things being implemented then I think you have missed the point entirely.
Whether or not it’s harder is not really relevant. Whether or not it’s worth it to put a manweek into it … that’s the one million question.
Are you kidding me? I’ve put over 1,300 hours into this game already, and every battle just serves to emphasize the need for attention to the targeting system. I think it would be worth several man-weeks, at least.
It’s true that they might not get the kind of awestruck reviews for a reliable targeting system that they would get for new content, but what would you say about a basketball team that was adept at the double-dunk yet couldn’t dribble the ball? We need to work on fundamentals here, folks. With some urgency, if I had my preference, but it would seem they have their own priorities.
The new content uses existing code, simply added into new scenarios. Obviously the toggle is not existing code, and would have to be incorporated, tested against every aspect, and then implemented. And then we have the next problem, glitches that you can’t plan for. In theory, that toggle button could turn off your targeting indefinitely with a glitch. Then the game needs to be rolled back, everyone has to wait offline, code has to be removed, update needs to be re-downloaded, and then they have to try again. Just an example.
Getting something “done” doesn’t mean getting something “right”. If you want them to rush things that they have not tested throughout your going to get lost shores on your options menu.
I can’t imagine this would be allowed in any AAA MMO. Can you imagine competitive PvP where you could have someone with 3 toons all attack you in perfect sync, no one would ever stand a chance. No game could ever have any sort of PvP without removing this.
All AAA MMO’s allow this. And the reason is because you’re not looking at it as if it’s 3 players against 1. You’re looking at it as if it’s 1 player against 1. The MMO vendors are smart in that they recognize it’s 3 slots of a battle being taken up going against 1 slot.
You are absolutely correct (all things being equal as far as gear, location of the players to each other, etc) that 1 player would die to 3 players. That exists in all MMOs ever made. So why state that no one would ever stand a chance? The reason you’re stating that is because you’re looking at it wrong, you’re not considering that the multi-boxer takes up 3 slots of game play just as 3 players would.
WoW (Accepted)
Aion (Bannable)
GW2 (Bannable)
FFXI/FFXIV (Can’t find definitive info)
Immortal Night (Bannable)
Runescape (Bannable)
Eve (Think Bannable)
Neverwinter Nights (Think Bannable)Whether allowed or not, most if not all of these still do not allow you to actually use software to control both accounts at once. The ones who do allow m.b still ban 3rd party software that controls 2 at once. I noticed someones used “Most MMO’s”, but I find that to be very inaccurate. It leans towards a grey area of botting, Arenanet is very black and white about just about every legal aspect of the game.
Either way, GW2 is not those other games. Follow the rules or don’t, its your $60.
Please if you are going to post here, post accurate information. All of the games you posted allow multi-boxing including Guild Wars 2. On the issue of not allowing one key to go to more than one account, this is an accurate list:
WoW (Accepted)
Aion (Accepted)
GW2 (Bannable)
FFXI/FFXIV (Accepted)
Immortal Night (Accepted)
Runescape (Accepted)
Eve (Accepted)
Neverwinter (Accepted)
Again, at any time if you use 3rd party programs in those to control them you will be banned. And the excuse “everyone is doing it”, just sounds childish as an excuse to have it here. Especially comparing any of those games (Wow and Aion especially) to GW2. A quick google search will bring up multiple banned accounts for “botting” activity relating to multiboxing. But that isn’t really the argument, it is that it is bannable here, so those others even if I was wrong or not makes no difference. This is not those games.
Even running multiple accounts without software, you can exploit several aspects of most of those MMO’s. Maybe better games ie GW2, recognize that.

It shouldn’t be just “on the list” It should be in the next available update.
It should have been in the last 20 updates.
The fact that they have just swept this under the rug for this long is simply absurd.
It NEEDS to be changed. There is no discussion here.
Exactly.
I’ve been playing almost every single day since the release and I just cannot get past this decision to delay such an easy toggle fix. My single biggest gripe in the game as it stands is how easily you can lose your target. It really is pathetic.
But this isn’t all that makes the GW2 targetting system so horrible. It could be made incredibly user friendly for all playstyles by adding just a couple of toggle options:
- Enable/Disable clearing your target by clicking on the ground.
- Enable/Disable aiming target area fields with the center of the camera (still showing a field and requiring a confirmation click/skillpress if fast cast is on or not).
-Enable/Disable target cycling whith closest target key (or just make a new hotkey altogether). These would improve how well the game controls dramatically. Some people don’t like the targetting system at all, adding alternatives and a little customization based on player preference would be a really good idea.
But for now after so long playing as it is, I would seriously be excited just to hear about something as simple as un upcoming option to disable right-click mouse targetting. Even more than ANY of the content updates.
The “easy toggle fix” part. The button seems simple yes, in theory. Now program it to work, code it to work with every other code strings, make sure it doesn’t glitch something else, and send your idea to Arenanet. Thats how easy it is. ^^

Vitality only helps you, a little extra HP really does nothing for mobs who hit for 20k.
Tough is entirely selfish because you are living longer than others, why not share bro?
Power, only benefits you because if others are tanky and staying alive you are just dpsing in easy mode while they use skill to stay alive.
Arguments can be made for any stat that it is selfish, and yet when that MF wearer sells the Berserker gear that dropped on broker and you buy it, doesn’t seem so selfish then? Or when MF wearers get tons of t5/t6 mats and you can make your legendarys and other things, are you thanking the coft path 1 guys or the MF guys in orr?
.Really? I think you are mostly out of argument because those doesnt make any sense.
That’s all I needed.
I have no argument, people just making kittens out of themselves calling everyone selfish. This thread lost its pazzazz long ago, I’m hoping for another “ectos were nerfed” thread to give me somethen funny to read again.
Star. You don’t have to be a selfish person to take selfish actions.
And actually yes, numerically it is selfish. It benefits only the individual in return for harming the group.
And I shall quote it to you AGAIN since you still clearly don’t understand what selfish means.self·ish [sel-fish]
adjective
1. devoted to or caring only for oneself; concerned primarily with one’s own interests, benefits, welfare, etc., regardless of others.Stop arguing against inarguable facts.
Also, having additional reasons why something is bad doesn’t invalidate other reasons for that. Yes, MF is bad because of those reasons you listed. It’s also bad because it is, in fact, selfish.
Vitality only helps you, a little extra HP really does nothing for mobs who hit for 20k.

In fact, I’d say unless you are spamming your heal type group skills on guardian, and of course playing a guardian, your are being selfish. How dare you play thief and just dps while others use circles, and barriers, and interrupts. Interesting stuff.
Keep calling people selfish for using a stat that devs put in game, and missing the mark. Your pinning the donkey on the tail, why not pin the tail on the donkey? If you are going to go about generalizing and stereotyping every MF wearer as bad people who are out to get you like some wrong turn movie, at least direct your e-rage at the people who implemented the MF, not those using it. Might as well blame people who use candy corn, how dare you buy stuff that helps no one and gives you enjoyment.
This thread is so full of elitism and irony, why anyone continues the arguments is beyond me. But hey, what do I care, I just salvaged orr drops for 34 ectos and sold to the highest buyer. Boy I hope that guy hates MF wearers.
All you are doing is flaming and antagonizing others without giving any viable feedback on the actual problem. I can copy and paste too :e·lit·ism or é·lit·ism (-ltzm, -l-)

This is how I see the gem shop…
Since I consider farming as a 2nd job and not fun I will ask you:
Do yo make in 1 hour enough gold equal to 800 gems (converted back into gold), if the answer is:
A. no – consider converting gems to gold. Since you may as well get a 2nd job in real life and I believe you make over $10 an hour.
B. yes – farm away!Aw I can’t do both?
You may, that was my take on things
^^ Good, cause I just keep tossing gold at an empty guild lol. Perhaps soon it won’t be so empty :P
If you get a couple of guild missions, feel free to sell it to me
Actually I solo bought enough influence to have every guild bounty open and ready. I also have everything else to Tier IV or V. All from my own gold >influence from 3 months. ^^ I’d love some help with them lols

They are working on fixing some orr issues because they are not as intended. In the mean time there is always living story, and guesting to a larger server who may have better luck on the DE’s in Orr.
The reason the game discourages you from farming is because you are NOT supposed to FARM in this game.
loooooooooool
So you’re supposed to get all those ecto and T6 stacks (legendary, ascendeds, MF skins) by not farming? GL doing that.
But that’s how I did it. I get ectos from just playing the game. I get karma from playing the game. I get mystic coins from playing the game. I get skill points from playing the game. Mystic coins are also cheap on the marketplace right now.
Then I play the mystic forge for clovers. I have far far more clovers than I need to make two legendary weapons but they also reward me, sometimes, with T6 mats. Doing this when I get ectos and enough coins have given me enough T6 mats to get my legendary. I tend to get more elaborate totems and powerful blood than other T6 mats, but I just sell those and buy the mats I need.
In the end, it took a look time, but it wasn’t impossible….and I didn’t farm to get them.
With all the time you spend on the forums you must have really good luck with drops ;-)
Due to chronic pain, I dont’ sleep. I have plenty of time to be in the forums and still play the game. Even I can’t play a game more than 12 hours a day but I’m awake 20 hours a day. I find the forums entertaining and even distracting from pain, so I hang out here. Distraction for pain is better and more helpful than most medication.
People have said the same to me, and I have more hours in game than them and more hours per day lol As a bonus I get better drops than the haters too, so there is always that :P And the 4 Fused weapons, 120 trans crystals are a nice bonus.
On a side note I spent 200g on influence the other day, seems I’ve gotten bored with gold AND with cash, good for the game I guess ^^
I direct deposit all my money into Anets account. I didn’t realize you could just spend what you want
I can confirm that at the very start of GW2 the keys had a decent drop rate. It was not rare to get at least 1 a day just from normal questing within the first few weeks of playing. Infact, during headstart there was a point where I had more keys than chests.
The drop rate of keys has been fiddled with since launch, as was the drop rate of dyes.

you get em from doing story they don’t drop
Lol they drop.. stop confusing people look at my pic
I looked at it and I call hax. I have only EVER gotten 2 since playing this game. 1 from story and another from Malchor’s Leap map completion. Thats it.
lol that’s just 1 of 4 I’ve gotten. They are just very rare outside of rewards.

Don’t forget “your” prime time and someone elses prime time are different times.
Update: Bountys now available all Tiers.
Also recruiting anyone from NSP or TC (Northern Shiverpeaks/Tarnished Coast)
I’m on my 112th run and I haven’t gotten anything. no tonic, no mini or jetpack. makes u not wanna play after so many run with nothing to show for it.
112? o.o
Don’t forget about Champ chicken.
it throw… wait… wat ??? .. Eggs and destroy …wait… Wall.. at Penti
Wat’s logic about eggs destroy wall o.O
Egg throwing is serious business.

It is my opinion that these updates do not match what they hyped they would be.
I have no idea what you were expecting Parisalchuck. Updates since January alone includes -~
They have a lot of updates, most ppl just brush off what doesn’t apply to them and say they did nothing.. Currently the updates since launch are around 87 pages and almost 50,000 words.
Just out of curiosity if you could sell fused tickets how much do you think they would be worth at moment ?
35-50g
But they would probably start higher.
I blame your account name for my skepticism..
Yeah that would be a possible solution. Or buyable with laurels
Would probably have to be a lot, Anet still does need money for expansions etc. Maybe 10 laurels or 20. You could get at least 2 a month then. I’m sure people would still want more though lol.
Our Guild Leader had one drop this week… I think he’s still in a state of shock 3 days later..
Not had any since before Karka iirc as loot. I don’t have a huge issue with a low drop rate considering how much business they prob rake in on the gem store, but I’d like 1 or 2 to drop in game as well every now and again
How about 1 key for doing monthly ^^
If you haven’t bound it to the strap yet you can bind it to any shortbow for appearance. Once it is transmuted the 1st time you must use transmute crystals(?) to apply the skin to another weapon. I believe the transmute items are cheaper.
The strap is just in case you have nothing slotted you can use it to skin the item onto.
Can confirm black lion keys do not drop. 550+ hours. You can get them from daily or storyline rewards.
They drop. 1400+ Hours about 4 keys from farming. You can also get them from story if you really want to. My first key actually came at around 900 ish hours I think.
(edited by Geotherma.2395)
Champion chicken seems legit :P
If they dropped this well “ever” I’m pretty sure the gem stores biggest money maker would be out of business lol
Lol.. as we have prioritized to do the daily and some world bosses and after that some leveling or farming in Orr, we haven’t been able to discover this OP risen yet, but it sounds that today evening (if it’s not hotfixed until then^^) we just HAVE TO look out for it.. xD
Guest on a busy server like TC or others, hang out there when he shows up. Its power was scaled directly to 9000 :P He did not pass go, he did not collect 200 gold, he went directly to our camp and ate everyone like some sci fi thriller. ^^;
This might be the first thread I’ve ever gotten an official response on ^^ Thanks for the info, was worried that we were fighting a new “Mini Armageddon mode” version of SB :P
A few times a day? o.o
And the vet spiders that spawn, stay long after the event much like the wraith. And they drop nothing.. Which kind of makes them pointless.
I have no problem with making farming events more “interesting” or even more skill related, but there is a fine line between challenge and brick wall. And that wraith is 1 Chuck Norris joke away from me never farming that side again.
Want to make it interesting and not get rid of him? Make him a boss mob who randomly spawns at a camp who drops a chest (not bonus), and make it so people could actually kill him without the need for hellfire missiles from the sky. He can drop a scepter skin or something..
(edited by Geotherma.2395)
From shelter camp in Orr. people literally stop doing the event once he is up because everyone dies and he absorbs all their health. I’m not usually one to complain about changes to farming, but this one is far too OP. I have a 9 minute video of him clearing every player 10-15, every NPC 100% of the time and keeping 90-100% health. Either make him drop a chest at the end, or remove him.. Thx..
oooo haven’t see one of these threads in a while lol. Yes, they do. I get a few a day anywhere between 2-6 but varies. Has a lot to do with time, but that part you have to figure out :P
Also I believe it was said by devs that lower levels have a small advantage for loot. Not sure where that post is though..
I don’t see how you’ve solved the core problem by giving people more “options”. This just means people will stack magic find infusions on to their existing magic find armor sets… and we will still be swapping armor and giving up stats for loot which has effects on the game that are almost entirely negative.
There’s really no way of tackling this core issue except actually tackling it…and trust me the majority of players would rather not be worrying about Magic Find or swapping armor sets or getting into endless debates about being a “team player”….
Again, another person who didn’t read the post…
The infusion for MF is NOT available on MF gear. Please read again and formulate a response.
Maybe I should have made a tldr :P
tldr:
Magic find infusion (in any armor slot gear that is not MF gear) that you could buy with laurels(and/or other currency).
You could apply it to any armor that does not have the MF stat. ie travelers etc
Laurel(or other currency*) MF Armor Supplement
Laurel MF Weapon Supplement*
Laurel MF Accessory Supplement*
So there you have it, buy the items with gold, karma, dungeon relics, laurels maybe a combo of those. Everyone keeps their good gear and runes, and gets to work towards an MF upgrade for every piece of gear. Making them destroyed upon salvaging, and a non removable upgrade = money/karma etc sink, and a continual profit for crafters.
You could however add an infusion spot on MF gear for coin/xp and only coin/XP maybe even karma. So your sacrificing stats again in PVE but you are gaining other economy boosts. Since regular gear can only slot MF they would miss out on coin/xp/karma bonus.
This would make the MF gear a great set for leveling/farming and still make it viable.
With the ability to place MF on regular stat gear players would not be forced to use lesser gear in groups and dungeons. And with coin/karma/XP options available for the MF gear sets, players can have a set for farming, grinding, or partying with like minded people for loot. It would allow MF sets to remain viable for people wishing to gain loot, and allow dungeon and regular groups to benefit from a group member who did not have to sacrifice a stat or style of play. Farmers and such still lose out on those higher dps/heal/tank style stats which makes it fair game wise, but are given the opportunity to make use of two sets rather than forced to have two sets and anywhere in between. MF stat should remain viable throughout GW2, but not limit players from contributing to others in parties. And again, adding MF stat option like this to regular gear allows players to try out new gear sets and trait styles in groups without the worry of being a detriment to a team because of lacking stats.

This one “50,040” just seems off to me lol. Although it could be because the users name shows up on a multiboxing program website via google, or could just be that I feel my hand would fall off at that point.
(edited by Geotherma.2395)
as i see it, my personel drop rate is much lower than my guildies, friends and even my second account my son uses. ive been in gw2 since beta – i have 6 80 toons, all with map completion and a 70. here is my concern and would love an answer to.
2 million karma spent on orion boxes and no mini risen balth
40 runs in molten dungeon and no jetpack or mini
thousands of event chest and no precursor
why is this happening? and how is this going to be corrected?
2m Karma, do you have pics or vid? Cause 0 minis seems a lil off, maybe you should write a ticket. I have 5.. Some people have 20+ >.>
The molten runs I can understand, 40 for a low drop rate isn’t too “suspicious”.
You have no business judging my “statistical capability”, because it’s not your kittening business. I’m there, I’m helping, how much doesn’t matter.
Of course it matters. As I said earlier. Content is based on five players, not four, so each player is intended to bring 1/5th of the battle strength to the fight, your contributions are not “bonus,” they are either meeting that standard, or falling short. If a player is using full MF gear, then he is forcing each of the other players to bring even more to the team than their fair share, in return for zero benefit to them.
Content is not based on five players with perfect exotic/ascended gear. It’s based on imperfectly geared players with bad ping and slow reflexes.
Anything you do in a party is a benefit to the party. Just because someone doesn’t want to use the gear YOU are trying to force down their throat doesn’t mean they aren’t meeting whatever stupid standard that only exists in an elitist’s head.
So many of their arguments sound as if MF wearers have 1 stats (MF) and that’s it. As if none of the other stats exists, and therefore those players are hurting the group. If anyone reading just skimmed through and knew nothing about the game it would look as though there is a gear set that has 1 stat that is terrible in group play. A full MF+MF+MF gear set. Surprised thread hasn’t been locked, maybe the mods are busy laughing.
Your concept that because there is no ‘trinity’ everybody is for themselves is ridiculous. It’s contradicted not only by just about every design aspect in the game, but by a developer in this thread admitting this is not what they wanted or meant to happen.
I think discussions on a social contract and such are pretty much blather, because nothings going to change unless there is a change or removal of Magic Find that makes it so you do not sacrifice any other stats to get it. However, I don’t think you should counteract blather with even sillier nonsense. Not a team game that’s focused on team PvP, world events, has buffs that buff allies whether you want to or not and if they are in your group or not? Please..come on…
Everyone being focused on their own interests, does not mean everyone is out only for themselves. But out of all that text you chose to pull that part out instead of anything positive. I salute your ability to completely ignore points in messages.
Everyone needs to take care of themselves in this game, AND can, and do help others. There is very few things that actually require a group, but team effort is everywhere we look. Even in things that don’t actually require a “party” exactly, we still contribute, but we do so as individuals since nothing is shared. And there is nothing wrong with that. But thank you for proving that people would rather argue silly points than gather overall information when it is presented. Typical forum agenda.
It is an MMO, and you do interact with others, but there are aspects of the game that allow you to define your play solely based off your own actions or choices. I never said there was no team, or no aspects of group work, but good job.
EVERYTHING else is shared. Why can’t you understand that?
When people do more damage their group benefits from shorter fights. Shorter fights means getting it done faster, and means lower risk since dead enemies aren’t dangerous.
When people stay alive their group benefits because downed/dead players are useless and require someone to make themselves otherwise useless for a time to rez them. Survivable characters are also more likely to successfully rez someone else without getting killed themselves.
Healing and boon duration obviously can be directly beneficial to a group if they are shared with allies, otherwise they enhance damage output or survivability of the individual, which is, again, a shared benefit.
A player with MF gets better drops for themselves only. Unlike everything else, this only affects the individual. Except the stat loss which hampers their ability to do other things DOES affect the group.
And their better loots, even though they could be so incredibly small in difference, that itself is the only reason you hate them? You can’t just get through the dungeon? Is that so hard for you to do without requiring someone to wear what you want? There isn’t a discussion here, you play with people who think like you, others play with people who think like them. The only thing going on here is everyone trying to be right, which is ridiculous. All skills/ effort being equal you have no right to complain about an MF wearer in a generalized statement, if you don’t want them in your speedy group, then don’t invite them. But you are not winning any battle on the forums trying to impose your way of play as the ONLY way to play or that it is somehow better than others. Good luck with winning that.
But elitists will always be in MMOs, they will just get weaseled out of this one sooner or later. But your logic that MF wearers are inherently bad people out for themselves is ridiculous and pointless in listening to more elitist dribble about speed runs and DPSing to win the game. Have fun arguing with others, there’s no longer a discussion here, just a ego tossing match and ridiculous generalizations. gl

This comes under choosing who you play with, instead of playing with elitists.
I m not an elitist.
I just use the gw2 lfg tool that anet didn t implement…
And seems differently from what you think MOST players are elitists playing fotm, cof and stuff like that.If people are kicking you because you don’t have the right gear…with the exception of the highest level fractals, I’d say they’re elitist. They’re at very least not interested in helping new people along. Either way, I don’t team with people that ask me to ping equipment.
I see the “pinging” idea in game is often adopted by elitists. I would counter them by saying, “What if you did this type of test in real life?” And before they respond, answer with “What? You don’t think everyone should just be dropping their pants in the street to compare?” Yea, they feel dirty now, hope you learned your lesson. :P It is just as wrong in a game, it is just digitized ego instead.
Guild Wars 2 isn’t a trinity game, so really everyone IS out for themselves. You heal yourself, buff yourself, even raise/rally yourself. You get and manage gear and traits to make yourself as efficient at what you want as you can. When a person gears for someone else, or because they are told it is the way that the group wants it, that is selfish behavior. You can easily do dungeons with either MF or non MF gear, and the only difference is a short amount of time.
When you enter a group, you aren’t entering a “contract”, this isn’t a Donald Trump show. You enter a group with one single purpose and that is to complete the dungeon (leaving out players who want to glitch through 99% of the dungeon because “it takes too long..”). You use the gear and traits you have to help the group accomplish that goal and if you use MF you are also trying to accomplish a personal goal. Having personal goals is not being selfish, it is using your time in game to enjoy the game how you want. Unless you are purposely afking every mob, or are entirely oblivious with how to conduct yourself, no one has the right to complain that your dps doesn’t measure up with their elitist’ometer. Gear in this game is only an enhancement of ones skill and direction, it is not a defining factor in figuring out if someone is selfish. Selfishness comes from literally doing everything for yourself, merely entering the dungeon with a group removes this ability. Just helping others kill bosses and mobs and finish the dungeon is a group concentrated effort.
If you want to pair up with like-minded individuals you have the option to do so, but do not expect that your style of play is the majority no matter your playstyle. People in MF gear are no more “purposely” hindering your progress than someone with bad ping. People can claim the stat argument, but stats do not make a good group, the groups skill and teamwork does.
Everyone has different goals, sometimes our goals are inside areas where groups are needed. We take on those challenges with others so that we can further our own story and progress. Simply partying with people is being group minded, unless again, you are just afking. You get drops based on doing enough damage(yourself), you get to work with others to accomplish one goal. This is the one and only purpose of dungeons, whatever else you take from that dungeon is in your own self interests. If you want a speed run, it is in your personal interest to get loot/gold on YOUR time frame. If you want to skip things you are circumventing the natural play of the dungeon and again that is YOUR personal interest. We all have some sense of selfishness, basically everything you do in game could be called selfish. But there is a difference between selfishness and personal interests. Because unlike selfishness, our personal interests can align with others. And no one has the right to belittle you or degrade you because you chose a gear set that helps you further a personal goal for yourself. As for those who want speed runs etc, you can announce it as such. If and when a real LFG tool is introduced I see this problem somewhat going away. Because people will have the chance to find others whose personal interests align.
There is far too much name calling and derogatory statements in this thread at this point to even take it serious anymore. Rather than define the actual importance of teamwork which is simply working together towards a common goal, you have all gone about forcing your own personal beliefs on one another. In doing so you have lost track of the discussion on how we can work WITH people who have this gear, and have resorted to simply labeling anyone with MF gear as “bad”. I see no further point in this thread other than to argue with each other about who personal interests and prerogatives are more important than others. There is no winner there, and if you think there is you are deluded.
I would say you two should get a room, but seems you have already found one.
To OP…
Start today and tell me how much time do you need to equip your character with ascended/exotic items. Not to mention economy that is slowly but steadily collapsing.
This is nothing but the old lineage 2 formula…
Exotic for me full set was 4 weeks ^^ Ascended meh, I have no use for it.
Ok when you will be booted from fotm parties remember that ascended are useless.
Also when you will be booted by cof1 speedruns….the difference between exo and asc is about the same between rare and exo.
I don’t do Fotm. Also, never said was useless, said I have no use for it, Also, don’t do Cof p1 runs(or Cof), I make 5-8g /hr w.o dungeons. And never have to deal with “dungeon” type people. I just tossed 200g into my guild influence because I’ve found gold to be boring.. But game is still fun.

My account was just banned for 74 hours or somethin like that for an abusive name or somethin. I was lead to believe you’d get a warning or be asked to change your name before it led to banning and i would’ve deleted my toon if it had been requested. Just saying it’s a little hasty and kinda just stupid in my opinion to take such drastic measure’s into play for a simple name change.
“I was lead to believe you’d get a warning or be asked to change your name before it led to banning”
Sounds like you were intentionally testing the system.
