I just wish they would put all their systems together in a large, coherent fashion.

Combine: event scaling, instancing, world bosses, dragons and guild missions.

Result: An Orr-like zone with temple bosses and dragons, that is instanced, perfectly scaled to your group size, with difficult content.

So you would take your guild into the zone, raid each of the temples, kill a few dragons, get some exotic/decent loot, have an epic experience and leave happy.

If the personal story was truly personal, personally I would’ve chosen to go north into the Shiverpeaks and end at 80 in Frostgorge sound.

Instead, all my characters (including my Norns) must do the boring, slow, inevitable, zombie-like march south to Orr…

If you want a decent military/‘soldiery’ type Title to use in WvW, it’s currently easier to go play sPvP.

Yet again, WvW was clearly not a priority during development.

The game is broken. Averaging 1 crash per hour, up from 1 crash per 2 months pre-patch.

I love CoF P1. This game needs MORE (not less) short, sharp, rewarding content.

The game wishes me to report all my friends. Very occasionally I can right-click and invite them to my party so we can play happy together. However, most of the time I must only report them.

What have my friends done wrong? I report them all

I would pay for a WvW expansion with new maps.

The only names I hate are ones that are annoying to type when trying to /join or /invite. Because the right-click menu only shows “Report” 98% of the time I want to party with someone…

Random invulnerability and random obstructions, very annoying.

Don’t know how many times I’ve had to take 180% of a Vet or Champ mob’s HP to actually kill him due to random loss of combat and full heal (for the mob).

It’s just settled into the same-old MMO mold and most players are in their usual MMO habits.

I log in for guild WvW raid, finish my daily in PvE and then do laps of Lion’s Arch for the rest of the day/week/month before I can earn more gated tokens for my BiS gear.

Anyone who plays for fun has always avoided the terrible Dragon events after the first time. They have always been there purely for farming.

You are going to fall way behind the gear curve.

Why? To encourage gem buying.

Another new map for sPvP, another delay on a WvW patch. Situation normal.

Casual gamers are ruining GW2 with their resistance to DPS meters and fights with actual mechanics.

For a variety of reasons, I stopped playing often back in october, and had completely quit in november. Now the heavy work season as lifted, family time during the holidays is over, and I find myself with some free time.

I’m wondering if there’s any real reason to come back to GW2. I’ve already got my gear I want, dyed how I want. I’ve maxed my crafting, done my personal story, done all the dungeons. I have my legendaries.

Is there anything in the game, other than the once a month special events worth doing, or should I take my time and money elsewhere?

Step 1: Dedicate time, effort, talented devs and resources to create jumping puzzles.
Step 2: Promote Jumping Puzzles as a big feature of the game.
Step 3: Change the camera at the last minute to break all of the jumping puzzles and half of the vistas.
Step 4: Launch the game because “it’s ready”.

A little bit of “polish” coming months late, isn’t going to save WvW from being as boring as all get-out.

I have tested this before but when i can put 5 rams at every depot at all 3 keeps, by the time i get back to the first keep/depot they would have disappeared. when the population starts waking up and ppl run pass the rams they tend to not despawn.

Using that method i was able to burn 20,000 supply in 1 day

Edit: also i think Ultimate dominator is 500,000 not 250,000

This project was delayed in favor of having the specific folks required to build it skill-set wise working on solidifying the core of the game. You’ll hear more about our ecosystem in the future, but we’re not actively working on this project, in favor of making sure the core game itself is as fun and rewarding as possible.

Edited to add: We’ll discuss what sort of projects we’re doing instead in more detail in the blog post later this week, and even in more detail as the Jan/Feb/March releases get closer.

Now we hear that actually features that were marketed have been scrapped to reassign resources towards finishing the “core of the game”.

I never used to be able to harvest things twice, while my friend was often doing it. Like I literally didn’t believe him when he said “that node let me harvest twice”. Then a patch came and bam! the WvW buff (and whatever base chance) seems to work for me finally.

I don’t get that bug where I couldn’t loot coins from a body anymore either.

No idea how much gold I lost during the first 2 months of the game…

If there were a lot of players, Anet would be announcing it. There was a time when they would boast, now the silence is very telling.

I assumed they would use their scaling system to do lots of cool things like 10-20 player ‘raids’ where you can play with however many people you’ve got. But even just simple things like the appalling party UI means anything like that is a pipe dream.

Topics like this remind me of the good old days when we believed in the Manifesto.
