Because we can’t be angry about both?
This is what many many players demanded. There were constant threads of players demanding SAB to be released even if it didn’t include new content. It’s strange now since there’s people demanding more because that isn’t enough. Kind of the same thing with the duration. It’s like people demand one thing, get it, and then decide that they want more because they got what they had originally demanded.
You don’t even need to buy the infinite coin. Normal continue coins can be bought with baubles.
It’s like “people” includes more than a single person, with more than a single opinion!
Given that they’ve already had nearly 3 years to work on worlds 3 and 4, this sounds pretty final.
We decided we couldn’t justify the sacrifice to Guild Wars 2 to make more new worlds for SAB. But we did have time to dust off the cobwebs (we had to fix a lot of stuff that breaks as the engine evolves and improves) and make sure SAB has a great, regular home in Guild Wars 2.
I’m glad to see it back, but I’m a little irritated that it’s overlapping with the pvp leagues for the entire 19 days. It seems like they could have afforded to be a bit more generous with the timing, given the conflict and how long it’s been. That being said, I gladly admit that I was wrong in my prediction that it would never return.
What I object to is every fanboy regurgitating streamers (ohlook, there’s a BogOtter thread..) because some ‘icon’ decided they’re upset or bored. It’s beyond Chicken Little crying just because one player is being a human whose opinion evolved over a little game development detail.
Wuh-oh, I hive-minded into the bog collective and posted his video in a thread! We are the Bog. Your biological and technological distinctiveness will be added to our own. Resistance is futile
I don’t see anybody being a chicken little over anything Bog said unless they outright disagree with him. Don’t know what you’re talking about here…
If his opinion’s that important, he can post it himself.
The policy shift on legendaries signifies another disturbing shift in GW2’s development. But we knew that already. The “oh noes a streemur said” thing is just an unnecessary echo chamber. He’s not an industry insider or a developer, he’s a player. Like everyone else. It’s irresponsible to incite a panic just because he had a big huff in public.
I’d say the good thing about his video is that it highlights a point of conversation. A conversation that’s already started: https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/game/gw2/Legendary-weapons-6/first
I disagree with this sentiment. It takes media traction to effect change. We’ve seen it before: Character slots in HoT weren’t addressed until media coverage happened. Same with commander tags. Having a platform actually does matter.
Maybe they’ll turn us into devs for the day. We’ll have to keep 200 invisible plates spinning whilst being verbally abused by an angry mob.
And then they’ll pay us and give us benefits for not doing our jobs! Oh, man. This is going to be the best April Fool’s Day prank ever. /sarcasm
I will be sitting hopefully in Rata Sum, as I’ve done for the last two April Fool’s days, and vote Joshua Foreman for president. (Of the world.)
I don’t care what your feelings about legendary crafting on its own are. This decision is making people realize that anet has a habit of leaving things undone. It was announced less than a month before the release of heart of thorns that the expansion would only be shipping with 3 new legendaries, instead of the anticipated full set. Do you honestly think they didn’t realize until a month before launch that they were not going to be able to deliver the full set in time? Or do you think they waited until the last possible moment to break the news, just hoping for a few more pre-orders in that time? They had to know 5 months ago that the process for creating the new set was not working well enough, but we’ve been strung along.
This wasn’t something they said they “hoped” to accomplish, or would try really hard to accomplish. This was part of their “finished package” phase. The xpac wasn’t going out until it was finished. Completely.
And people defended it when it was unfinished, and they’re defending it now that it’s likely going to remain unfinished for at least as long as Super Adventure Box, since that was one guy’s side project.
Coddler’s Cove
woaaaah…. you want more legendaries ? if you ask me to choose. content or legendary skin? I say. content plsssssssssssssss
Here’s the biggest straw man of this entire discussion. Bottom line is that we shouldn’t have to choose. As Mr. O’Brien said, one of the major selling points of this game was its focus on a living, breathing world. The only story we’ve gotten since the end of S2 was from HoT. The world has been stale. And yet, their expansion promised a new generation of legendary weapons, and people bought it.
If they didn’t have any plan set up for the living world after the xpac, and they didn’t have a plan for the legendary journeys, what exactly did they spend all that prep work on? How is this not seen as a colossal failure on both counts?
It’s the same old cycle. They give us bad news, claim to be more invested than ever in communication, and people rush to congratulate them for making the hard choice to communicate. This is not new. It is dang close to being a slapstick routine, at this point.
And people are buying that it’s totally fine to neglect the thing that’s been bought and paid for (Heart of Thorns) in order for them to work on another thing they want to sell us (Season 3 and HoT2.0). This totally baffles me.
You’re not so far off from being able to say, “It hasn’t been here in XXXX days.” How many “days” need to pass before you acknowledge that it’s been gone for years, at this point?
went from “it could come back in the future” to “it is coming back in the future”
not much to fuss about really
It actually went from “it’s coming back at some point in the future, but there’s no time frame” to “it’s coming back at some point in the future, but there’s still no time frame.”
People have claimed that because of datamining, SAB is just around the corner, for at least two years. Even in the wake of the revelation that SAB had not been touched since they sold the ICC, people were emphatically certain that it was going to be back. It’s a really tired claim, at this point.
Legendaries where actually mentioned wow, from the same post.
And So Much More to Come…
………………………………‘As always, the content above is subject to change as we test and iterate on these systems.’
God I wish there wasn’t another expansion in the works. Hi Anet, the living story was much better for the community and game in general. The pacing kept us together and engaged.
Oy….
You know, they said LWS3 is gonna be a thing too
Sort of like how the new legendary weapons will be free and coming in 2014.
Provide any kind of quote for that wishful thinking. I mean even them saying legendaries coming 2014 no need for a free flight of fancy.
https://www.guildwars2.com/en/news/looking-ahead-guild-wars-2-in-2013/
Near the bottom. They were actually coming late 2013.
" …you’ll also see new legendary weapons and new types of legendary gear in 2013."
You asked for a quote saying new legendaries were coming. Of course everything is subject to change. That wasn’t the point. Either you want a quote where they said new legendaries were coming, or you want an iron-clad legal statement guaranteeing something, when you know very well that absolutely everything ANET says will happen is always said with the oft-repeated disclaimer that things are subject to change. Don’t go changing the goalpost. It’s really unbecoming.

It was an idiotic oversight. Forgive them as you would your other brethren.
Though that makes me wonder if they know how their own game works half the time. Didn’t they desig… Nevermind.
I’m with you on this, minus the forgiving bit. As a great many people remind us, this is a business whose goal is ostensibly to make money, so how can they claim the design is unintentional? Did they just pull champion names from a hat, or something?
Honestly, if anyone but an anet employee had commented that the design was unintentional, I’d question the wisdom of suggesting that level of ineptitude. However, that seems to be the popular answer, these days. They didn’t know how expensive scribing was going to be. They didn’t know that it would cause conflict to create opposing goals for legendary collections. They don’t know how to cope with their physics engine to implement SAB with all the mobility changes. It’s like they’re playing pin the tail on the Charr; stabbing and hoping something sticks.
As a programmer and amateur game designer, I have first hand experience to realize that these things are hard.
- They didn’t know how expensive scribing would be since the players determine the value of things. Anet does put in formula that puts limits on things, but there’s still a lot of swing allowed in a stock market style economy. They genuinely don’t know and inherently can’t know the eventual prices of things.
- Creating opposing goals for precursors is a genuine mistake on their part — one they’ve admitted to. It feels like they did just look at a list of events without consideration of how those events were triggered, and that’s on them. I can see this might have happened in the rush to push things to release, but it’s still on them.
- The physics issues for SAB are real issues. They could probably be solved, but it would take a lot more effort than just “bring SAB back” indicates. It may not be worth the effort in terms of how much manpower it will take to do versus how much it gets appreciated. This is possibly a casualty of the expansion focus — they might not have the resources to do both, and the money’s in the expansion, not SAB. (But maybe we’ll be pleasantly surprised and see SAB return. Who knows?)
Scribing: I understand that they couldn’t have known precise values for the cost of scribing, and yet there’s a great deal that could’ve been intuited from market behavior as well as drop rates of the various components. As an amateur game designer/programmer, you probably don’t employ at least one economist. However, I will concede that this was likely to have growing pains.
Event conflicts: This is not the first nor the tenth time this sort of thing has happened. This is a recurring problem in their design choices. It’s understandable when it happens rarely, but not when it happens all the time. They’ve also, in the past, made event failure more profitable than event success.
Super Adventure Box: I never said the issue wasn’t real. I said it’s part of a pattern of responding as if they’re unaware of how their game functions. If they’re not invested in working on the content, there’s absolutely no reason to deny refunds for the infinite continue coin, which was sold with the understanding that the content would return. If a small team created it in their spare time, what is so hard about allocating a bit of time to update the physics engine and bring it back? It’s been two and a half years since they sold the coin. Kitten, or get off the pot. “Pleasantly surprised” to see it come back? That’s nonsense.
It was an idiotic oversight. Forgive them as you would your other brethren.

The chaotic materials spawn, but the golem doesn’t leave the starting location to spur the cleanup, so none of the other events spawn either.
The hero point in Snowden Drifts just north of Lost Child’s Sorrow Waypoint is not triggering. I asked a number of people to come in and check it out to make sure it wasn’t just me. The only interaction option I have is “greet” rather than “talk.” The NPC is a Kodan named “Stinging Wind.”
Wow. I’m embarrassed for ANET that a forum-user is aggregating their official news for them.
Yeah. I’m just out of words on this.
I’d love to see the Pact and Tempest sets make a return, myself.
iirc Pact and Tempest are available still in the vaults in Lion’s Arch for 5 tickets each
Oh, you’re correct.
I’d never spend 5 tickets on a single skin, but you’re right. They’re still available.
The visual nerfs thing was a request feature by a whole lot of people. Some people don’t like it, but I’m pretty sure I saw more people complain about noise than I ever did about the visual nerfs.
I’d like to see a build template made too. I’m sure it’s on a list of the stuff they’re working on. It’s obviously not a high priority for them.
Maybe because they have metrics of what people, by percentage ever change their build.
The visual noise nerf was something that was overdone. Yes, there were tons of requests for it, but the expectation was that it would be on some sort of slider.
I’d change my builds a lot more if I had actual templates. I’m not holding my breath for this feature to be implemented, though.
Chaos was available in the last year, and Tormented, too. I’d love to see the Pact and Tempest sets make a return, myself. And Zodiac.
That said, there’s no real rhyme or reason to the return of some sets. Chances are the prices will drop at some point, but if you want it badly enough, it may not be worth waiting.
Yeah the quality of the design is quite obnoxious at times. There are a few good ones, but in general I’m with the OP that most skins are way over the top.
Good design is not flashy, but rather understated and at first glance unassuming.
Too few skins are like that, and getting a human female to dress in something as simple as pants is not possible.
ACtually, not to think about it, Was Na.9781 is quite correct how immature the design is.
Light armor doesn’t have a lot of options for female characters in pants, but medium and heavy certainly have a few.
@Guzzi: Hi! Check the gallant hammer out, if you haven’t. (I’m a huge fan of the whole set, myself.)
The wardrobe was massively unpopular when it was released? It certainly was NOT. In my opinion, it’s one of the best quality of life upgrades in the history of the game.
The loss of townclothes as mix and match items was hugely unpopular, and as an entirely separate issue, I think it should be reexamined. However, it has been nearly two years. I think it’s highly unlikely to change, at this point.
Proof they actually read the forums. I’m honestly suprised.
I’m fairly certain all this is coming from the people who have given up trying to give their information on the forums and have moved to Reddit, where they actually do participate. Case in point: This thread has seen no responses. Reddit apparently has several already.
I wonder how many black lion skins they’ll cram in before they can be bothered to release the full set of new legendaries we were supposed to see in 2013?
The issue with SAB physics being a problem is more than a year old, at this point. And certainly if they’re able to make gliding work in the core game, they can fix jumping in a box? I feel it’s extremely unkind of you to suggest that they are capable of that level of ineptitude, in any case.
I hope the lunar festival has the 10k food thing again. I could use some gold. But I am looking forward to seeing the new rewards, truly. Assuming they’re drops, and not from the gem store.
Kudos to ANET for the account-wide inventory slots people have been asking for. I think it would’ve been sporting to give one out, but eh. It should still make a lot of people happy.
The balance changes sound painful, which is good.
I’m impressed to see a roadmap/state of the game again. It’ll be interesting to see how all this shakes out.
I’m a big fan of the community, overall.
Node-sharing, active combat and multiple guilds.
Level scaling.
Exploration- there are still meaningful parts of the world I’ve probably yet to see, after nearly 3 years. (Excluding the xpac, I mean.)
Jumping puzzles.
Weapons being meaningful, rather than just stat sticks.
Character customization. (Creation, dyes, armor sets, outfits, etc.)
I’d like to see more festivals in the racial cities rather than in LA.
I think it’s weird that they are churning out so many black lion weapon sets and yet their expansion shipped with three legendary weapons and an appallingly low number of new in-game skins overall.
Then again, they’re pushing microtransactions so hard you wouldn’t think they’d just released an expansion pack valued at $50.
All that being said, I’m not a fan of excluding weapons from skin sets.
The point I see being made here is “if you don’t do dynamic dps, go home.” This makes no sense that Anet actually implemented a healing/support option into builds only to require dps damage in order to get gold or even silver rewards. If groups require support of one type or another, then why not implement the abilities to actually accumulate points to get gold?
I am tired of using my support through all my encounters to only get a bronze or even nothing based upon my efforts to support the group. So if you support your group you are kitten. Don’t support the group you get griped at for failure to offer support?
There is no trinity in GW2. Support is mainly provided by way of condi-cleanse and buffs. That’s why every profession has a method of self-healing and the ability to dodge. Some healing support can be extremely useful, but it is not intended to be a primary role.
There are plenty of games out there that offer healing as a primary role. It is by design in GW2 that your damage contributions are what matter in events. It’s not something that is broken or has been overlooked. This is how the game was designed, by and large.
I’m truly sorry you spent all your gold on what is ultimately not a very useful set of gear, but a little research beforehand would have served you very well in this instance.
My gear is not my problem….I do just fine if all I use is my longbow and send my pets in to help out. But when I switch to my staff to offer support, I see a massive drop. There really is nothing wrong with my gear….
I am not totally ignorant of the “support” role I play…but it just seems that if you are swapping out a damage weapon for a healing/support weapon you will see a drop in your points.
I’m sorry, I had confused you with the original poster in the thread, who did feel like his gear choices were problematic. I apologize.
The guys making glider skins aren’t the guys fixing bugs and making the game more gamey
Of course they’re not. So how many new skins did your $50 expansion come with? You can’t tell me that the people making skins to be released in the game (this still happens, right?) are not the same people who make skins to be sold in the gem store. Or that they’re not the people who are making the art assets for the as-yet incomplete set of new legendary weapons.
They may not be the same people, but it certainly appears that the company is prioritizing gem store sales instead of producing a finished expansion. Then again, they already have your money for this expansion, so there’s no rush to, for example, add new fractals.
Keep on enjoying and defending your gemstore updates. Businesses need to make money, right? How else could they make money without putting a stranglehold on new cosmetics?
Yeah, we totally need more legendary greatswords before anything else.
…
but it seems I am being punished for wanting to heal.
…Basically – and sadly – this is the case as summed up in the opening post.
When designing the game the developers had hoped they would create a mechanic where any mix of characters/class could fill the traditional ‘trinity’ albeit loosely.. Unfortunately, the result of their efforts was the basic destruction of that cornerstone of play.
Honestly, I’m glad to see that “cornerstone” abolished. I know not everyone is, evidently, but this is a refreshing change in a sea of the trinity. I’d leave GW2 for good if they ever implemented an enforced trinity.
I don’t own it, personally. I made that decision based on the information that’s been released. I’d advise you to go watch some gameplay videos, read some reviews and ask around in-game, if you want a more well-rounded perspective of things.
There are things in this expansion that seem compelling, but not enough to warrant the price, in my opinion. But everyone values their entertainment differently.

While I won’t mention the distressing personnel losses over the years, I will say this: Joshua Foreman for president.
Other than that, here are my opinions. It should be noted that I have yet to find another game that is as compelling to me as GW2 has been, but with each recent change, the bar is getting set lower and lower.
I miss the company that seemed to like what they did, and who seemed to genuinely care about their customer relations. I have more to say on this topic, but this seems like a fair starting point.
I wouldn’t be here if I didn’t care about the game.
Edit: Huh. The formatting seems to think that all of my points are number 1. I swear, I’m not being overimportant, here. I guess… just pretend like they’re numbered properly. I’ll look into it once I’ve had more sleep.
Edit 2: I think I fixed it!
(edited by Guhracie.3419)
Before I took a break from GW2 there was RPers all over here in Tarnished Coast.
Now it feels like any other server, and people talking about megaserver (have no idea what that is) probably explained why I don’t see RPers here so much.
Megaserver is basically what overflow servers used to be, but all the time. Instead of having instances for each server, you’re all smushed together in one megaserver, and new instances are created as needed. There are algorithms that are supposed to help group you with people in your guild and on your friends list. The only place you’re actually talking to your own server now is in WvW maps.
Dungeon gold was also heavily nerfed (66% less now). Fractals: you can’t get some of the dailies unless you have HoT.
So your experience may be degraded from what you saw before you quit.
I read that over and over again… what is so important about that? Yesterday, I reached the mark of two months playtime and I accumulated enough gold to buy enough gems on the tp to afford Living Story Chapter 2 and thanks to people who don’t run dungeons any more, because “it isn’t worth it any more”, I haven’t yet had the chance to see a single dungeon from the inside.
I’m not sure I understand what you’re asking. You don’t understand why people don’t run dungeons anymore? You don’t think the reduction in gold and experience should matter?
Two things motivate people to play content: Interesting design, and rewards. Better examples of both those things can be found elsewhere, as you’ve already experienced with the gold reward.
If you don’t understand why the rewards were nerfed, it’s because ANET made a deliberate decision to make sure people were less motivated to play dungeons. Dungeons are unsupported content. They want people in Heart of Thorns and fractals and e-sports. (There’s an interview on Dulfy from a few weeks ago that verifies this, if you don’t believe me.)
I think a lot of it depends on what you liked to do in the core game. There are some new maps to explore, though I haven’t been to them since the launch of the expansion, so I don’t know if they’re still populated- and the maps rely on map-wide events.
I think it’s worth downloading to at least look in and see what still appeals to you. Good luck and enjoy if you do come back!
I just find this so sad but still sorta hilarious. People have been begging for any kind of information and finally there’s a nice dev out there talking to us but behold! The GW2 community that doesn’t seem to operate under any kind of logical laws, strikes yet again! Angrymob equipped with pitchforks and torches making sure that no dev will be posting here or on Reddit after this. Wohoo! Praise the Great Lord Flame Ram and pass the ketchup!
Lmao so true, everyone complains about no dev response, but when they do they get screamed at by immature adults who want EVERYTHING to be perfect and their way. I hate people
Yeah. It’s super immature and unreasonable to expect the official guild wars 2 forum to be used for any sort of official communication. Obviously our expectations are too high. You’re so right, and your assessment of the playerbase is in no way insulting or offensive! Thanks for showing me the error of my ways!
Why on earth would devs respond to unreasonable people who are only going to bash on them if they try to communicate? Also, insulting the player base? All the forums have been is constant complaints, negativity, etc. But calling them complainers is insulting, maybe you should take a break from the internet if that’s offensive. Thanks
Regards, Hakuna
Let’s see. Why would the devs use their official forums to communicate?
I genuinely don’t understand why their self-moderated forum gets the cold shoulder and people are rushing to defend that decision, like Reddit is somehow a safe-haven for them in a way they cannot create here. Is Reddit part of some unknown complaint-free zone on the internet? Are only mature and reasonable people allowed to post there? How have I missed such a place? Please. Explain this to me.
Explain to me how you’re not perpetuating toxicity by trying to shut down another person’s concerns by reducing them to “immature complainers.” Is it your job to moderate people?

I haven’t been to the jungle, but the art of the game is one of my favorite things about it. I still love Coddler’s Cove in Timberline.
Hello, and welcome back!
I still find the community to be agreeable, and moderation seems to be about the same, I guess? I’ve never seen it in action, personally, so I don’t know. I report and/or block and that’s usually the end of it, for me.
The game implemented megaservers so that in PvE, your server doesn’t really matter. This has caused some upset to the RP community, but they’re still finding ways to network and find each other, and it seems to be thriving, particularly if you join TCRP to find out where stuff is happening.
I never found combat to be as simplistic as “dodge or die” but I will say that they’ve addressed things like conditions in PvE and they’ve created some really interesting encounters as time has gone by.
The dungeon team was disbanded ages ago, so they haven’t been touched in terms of difficulty, but the gold rewards were slashed in order to get people to stop playing the content. Fractal rewards were supposed to be rebalanced to make up for this, but that didn’t happen. I’m pretty sure that you can no longer play high level fractals without the expansion anyway.
My own opinion based on what I’ve read about the expansion is that it’s not worth $50. Additionally, how they’ve chosen to monetize the game and gut aspects of the core game have made me glad I didn’t buy Heart of Thorns. For example, gliders are one of the major elements of the expansion, but there’s only one skin obtainable in-game. The rest are in the gem shop. They’ve taken to selling “bundles” of items- $25 packages of outfits/gliders/etc, rather than simply allowing players to buy what they want. New legendary weapons were also a major selling point of the expansion, but a couple of days before launch, they announced that Heart of Thorns would only be shipping with 3 new legendary weapons. Guilds have had their progression reset in favor of a new system, which heavily favors massive guilds. Most small guilds struggle to access the things they had unlocked before this new system. You’ll have to read reviews and decide for yourself if you think the expansion looks appealing. Personally, I’m wondering if it’ll be worth a $20 sale in a few months, or if I should wait for it to be lower, assuming I’m still playing the core game.
I don’t think the F2P has impacted the monetization of the game as much as the expansion has.
As always, this is just my opinion, and I hope it has been of some use to you. Whatever you decide, I hope you enjoy!
I don’t know about the rest of it, but thief is often lauded as being one of the best professions for WVW roaming.
every dam week, new outfit, new outfit, new outfit…
WE WANT ARMOUR SKINS.
but hey, expecting anet to get a clue is a bit ambitious. And the reason we don’t get any (from what I have heard repeatedly) is because players complained about armor skins being sold in the gem store.
People complained about them being sold in the gem store instead of being obtainable by playing the game. I don’t think anyone could have known that ANET was going to stop creating armor sets entirely, or be so very stingy with adding any cosmetics to their $50 expansion pack.
“Failure is not only an option, but actively encouraged in our legendary journey!”
Ahh. Those feels when the game that revolutionized the idea that you should never dread seeing other players in the open world decides to make it so that an item not obtainable any other way not only makes you hate seeing other players in the open world, but is so counter-intuitive as to require failure in order to succeed.
Do you all have any internal consistency about what good game design even is, at this point?
Hmm. This is a super time gate, ANET. If nobody can get this item, this should stretch out the time before you need to add anything even more. I think I see why you’re refusing to fix this design flaw, now.
It’s actually been over two years since ANET sold the infinite continue coin in the gemstore and removed SAB in favor of doing “more important” things.
Maybe you can start a guild dedicated to obtaining Nevermore and keep taxiing people into the same map to ensure that particular map will fail?
this is an idea :O However i think it would invite more trolls into the map too. Gotta be cautious, but at least its an idea! c:
I read a reddit post in the past 2 hours i believe it was, someone mentioned these forum topics and reddit posts to Anet and they said they are aware of it, but that they are not going to change it. They did say though “if enough people complain or discuss it, our higher ups will have to look into it”. So basically alot of people need to make a ruckus about it. :C sad that a bunch of fighting and drama is the only way to attract Anets attention.
i have the reddit post saved/bookmarked if i am allowed to link it. I dont know if its against forum rules to link such things or not.
You’re allowed to link.
Once again, good job on posting to reddit and not your actual official forum, ANET. And what a brilliant job handling this issue: “More people have to make a fuss before we’ll look into changing anything.” This is terrible design, but you’re sticking with it, eh? There’s absolutely no reason something like this should hinge on failure, but you guys doggedly keep putting things behind failure… huh. If you think failure=success, that could explain a LOT about your recent design decisions.
At each turn, you keep making me more and more glad I didn’t buy the expansion, and everytime you gut the core game, you’re making it easier for me to walk away. The fact that your response to this situation was “cry moar” is just one more reminder that this company really doesn’t care anymore.
Thanks for posting and bringing this to my attention. It’s a crying shame.

If you scroll down to the paragraph right under the picture of the sylvari holding the energizer, you’ll see that they’ve always been once per account.
However, it does seem really weird that you can craft T1 and T2 again, considering the amount of materials they need, when you can’t craft the actual precursor more than once. I suppose they didn’t want to remove the recipes from your characters after you crafted it once. Anyway, good luck! I hope they return the materials you’ve used.
I hadn’t spotted that in the original article, so not sure how I’ll get on with the Support
They also say that the new Crafted Legendary will not be tradable in that article, which is not the case. Seems like ANet have got things a little bit wrong this time round….Let’s hope support are feeling nice.
They meant the new legendaries will be account bound. Twilight is an old one that was available in the core game.
Last year we couldn’t go in Toypocalypse with a pre-made group due to a bug. Will it be fixed this year?
Hope springs eternal, eh? I am not holding my breath, especially after they simply removed Lunatic Inquisition entirely.
Noob question: What is DR? O_o
The only DR i know of is Divinity’s Reach, but unless you are planning a terrorist attack on Kryta’s capital, i don’t think you are talking about the city. So, what’s DR?Diminishing returns. It’s the point at which the game decides you’ve done so much of the same thing that you might be a bot, therefore it lessens the rewards.
I see, thank you. It never happened to me, so i didn’t know.
No worries! If you don’t ask, how will you find out?
According to ANET, it rarely happens to your average player.
When Mr Smith commented to that effect he seemed to be specifically referencing drops. Did he expand his point to include the XP as mentioned in this thread? And, do we know whether or not such was modified for the new maps?
I am really very curious about this.
Not only that, but it was made well over a year ago, if not closer to 2. As far as I know, he never commented on experience, but I took it to mean the entire phenomena of DR, personally. However, you’re right that there’s a great deal we don’t know about DR and the evolution of it since the original statements were made.

My favorite is the jar of bees you get after defending the hives from bears in Queensdale.
